The guy Mike is down to earth. This is a cozy shop. I never feel pressured to buy and the staff is very informative. Always a pleasure to come here when I get a few extra bucks. Better than the big chains - a more personal experience. They give lessons for many instruments and all the students seem to be happy when coming and going (a sign of good teachers!)Highly recommended

Great shop. Joe took the time to help me with my first 4 string bass purchase. Walked away with a sweet Fender Jazz and accessories to get me started for reasonable cost. Took just a few hours to figure it all out and have been playing to my favorite tunes ever since.

I have only been going here for a couple months based on a recommendation from a friend, but I have to tell you that the dude Joe there really knows his stuff, saved me from getting ripped off on a couple guitars with some great inspections, quick set ups, super knowledgeable, has no problem answering my questions. They have a guy that works on amps too, got my super lead tip top. They pretty much do it all or at least can point you in the right direction. I highly recommend Sweetest Sounds! A+!

New to guitar. Joe and Mike helped get me set up. Extremely knowledgable. Mike is a master craftsman at repairs and restringing. He made my old Fender sound better than new, and hooked me up with a fantastic new Ibanez Les Paul. Would never take my instruments anywhere else. Great guys and fair prices.

Setups are the Best going around here I never knew the difference between set ups until I went from my normal place to sweetest sounds the sound is completely different in a better way than most places they put extreme effort into making the guitar or bass sound the best I cant believe the difference I always thought set ups were set ups and everything was done the same until I came here and the difference is absolutely noticeable in the detail that they take in working on everything that they do. My guitar sounded 100% better after they did their set up and it is 1000 times better compared to other set ups I have done and gotten at other shops this place is absolutely the best around not just for set ups but for purchases and customer service Joe is as knowledgeable a person that I have come across in the instrument business great place wont go to anyone else

This is my go to spot when I need any sort of work done on my equipment. The team combined, has over 100 years of knowledge when it comes to instruments, modifications, and just overall general information. For the beginner to the 20+ year player, youre guaranteed to learn something new.Any time I get a new/used guitar, I take it to Joe right away for a setup and advice on whether or not the purchase, if a used piece, is worth it.A perfect example is a purchase I made last year, one of those newer Mexican 50s strats. I loved the way it played, but jeez those pickups were incredibly noisey. I took it Joe and told him what I wanted: to retain the essence of the Stratocaster; that twang, the Knopfler sound, some Gilmour, little Clapton, throw in some Hendrix... every popular strat tone, but I wanted it to be noiseless, something that single coil pickups are notoriously known for, especially the lower end Mexican models (this can be debated since these models have really stepped up their QC game and can easily rival American Stratocasters).Right away, Joe knew exactly what to recommend, Dimarzio pickups. Ive always been a Seymour Duncan guy when it came to aftermarket PUs, but I trust Joe, so I went with his selection and he went to work. I told him no rush, and a week or two later my guitar was ready... ZERO REGRETS. I was floored. Everything I was looking for and completely noiseless, but not lacking in tonal or sonic response. In store selection for instruments is great. Its a revolving door of used gear, so much so, that youd have to go in a few times a week to see if they received a vintage piece, otherwise you might miss out on it. If new guitars are more your speed, ask, if they dont have it they can most likely they can order it for you at fair market pricing.Bottom line, yes, the big box music stores carry A LOT of inventory, but they lack interpersonal skills. I find myself hanging out for an hour or so just discussing the industry, gear, new bands, old bands, restaurants, anything and everything. Again, this is something that the big box retailers lack. The rush to find you any instrument, get it in your hands, swipe your card, and get you out the door. This. Doesnt. Happen. Here. They care about the customer, and thats why youll return.

Went to see if they had any interesting classical guitars. Was greeted by the store clerk and just mentioned that I wanted to have a look at some guitars. This far this good. When browsing the guitars I saw one classical with two strings broken which set off the alarm bell. Tried to lift down another guitar to give it a try but it was stuck so hard on the hanger that I gave up. Didnt want to hurt any instruments by accident. On my way out I hit my head in the ceiling which is far too low to be secure in a store. Clerk told me to watch my head, and I told him to get a better place.

I brought in my broken guitar on a Wednesday afternoon. They were instantly able to figure out what was wrong and explained some other near things to me. They were able to fix it and clean up the guitar with a set up in two days, I was able to pick it up by friday afternoon. Prices not too bad. 25$ to replace my input jack and 55$ for the set up.Would go again.
