We’ve rented from Violins and More for several years and highly recommend. Staff are informative, efficient and friendly. They went above and beyond to support our daughter having a properly sized instrument in good working order. She needed replacement strings a few times and they were quick to help make that happen. Highly recommend!!!

The entire rental process was a breeze! Rachel was quick, kind, and personable with both myself and my son as we were first time renters. She gave helpful but clear instructions on how to care for the violin. Its also nice to know that a portion of the rentals could go to a future purchase, if we stick with this practice for the long term. Rachel was very kind and went over everything we needed to know about my 6 year olds rental. She handled speaking to my daughter very well and explained the expectations for caring for an instrument. I loved that she included my daughter to be a part of the conversation, and educated me as the parent about everything I needed to know as well. I also found the rental pricing to be fair. I cannot imagine going anywhere else for our rental needs.

Rented my daughter’s violin for school here. The gentleman was very personable and knowledgeable, the rate was more affordable than I expected, and they have a great “size up” policy as little ones grow.

This store is absolutely awesome! They have helped me so much get my upright bass in good playing order, did some repair to it, put new strings on it. I purchased a stand for my bass there. I would recommend them a 1,000 times a day, they are great to work with. They are pleasant and reasonably priced and have a wonderful selection of instruments to purchase as well.

We have rented violins and now a viola from Violins and More. The staff are easygoing and friendly and helpful. The prices are reasonable. We have had a great experience here.

Excellent shop for orchestral strings rentals, repair, and sale! This is a great, local, family-owned business with roots in our community. They have high quality instruments, as well as entry level, and additional in-between options! They were happy to connect me with a local private instructor, too. I cannot say enough great things about Violins and More!

We are going on year 2 of renting my childrens instruments with Violins and More. They are located over an hour from our home, but every aspect of our experience has been seamless (including delivery of the instrument to our school). It can so intimidating for parents to rent or purchase an instrument (especially a quality one) without knowing if their children will have continued interest and not knowing themselves how to care for the instruments. This is such a good option as the instruments are high quality making the experience much better for the students, and the customer care is top notch, so I dont feel out of my realm, though I know nothing about string instruments. This place is such a gold mine! It will help you get over the overwhelm of fostering a new hobby for you or your children.

5/5I am an adult violin newbie and Rachel was able to walk me through everything I needed to know to get started. We talked about instructors and accesories and she didnt pressure me one bit. She even told me I could get better prices on some things on Amazon, but I would much rather give Violins and More my business!The instrument I rented was already tuned and ready to play and Rachel walked me through tightening and loosening the bow, showed me the rosin, and showed me how the shoulder rest tightens onto the instrument. She was so patient with me!I defintely recommend Violins and More to anyone!

Violins and More of Lynchburg is a lovely establishment. I recently picked up the Cello and didnt have anything related to music other than the instrument I owned. Their service has been beyond wonderful and everything I have bought from them so far is worth every penny. Great staff, great service, great products-- 5 stars.

This is the kind of business that makes me want to buy twelve shop local bumper stickers and plaster them across the back of my car.Rachel was immediately responsive, at the beginning of the school year no less, regarding my request for 20-30 instrument rentals, and took care of all of the administrative tasks needed to get them to our kids in what I can only imagine is a world speed record of time (were looking at about 3 days max turnaround).Violins and more truly go the extra mile, including so far as to personally drop off a cello that I rented for myself, at my house, for no additional charge. They will also be delivering all of the instruments to the school for our kids to pick up. I am extremely pleased and cant wait to continue working with them. Five shiny gold stars.

Amazing wonderful violin and string shop with everything a violin (or string player) could want. they have kid sizes and adult, VERY HELPFUL.

The lady that works there or owns it Im not sure was very nice and even let my daughter play on a very expensive violin with a very expensive both just so she could see what it was like that was super really nice I would recommend it they repair they have Suzuki books and they have violin Viola cello and double bass.

I recently started learning to play the cello and decided to rent from Violins and More based on a recommendation from my teacher. I couldnt be more pleased with both their friendliness and their service!! They were incredibly patient with me answering all my questions, have allowed me to try out different instruments, bows, and rosins, and were also kind to my children (they have a few toys for the kids to play with as well - a big bonus!!) . I began with a basic student cello/bow and have upgraded to their new Advancing Student Program which is fantastic! Thank you Violins and More!!

Turned my fiddle over to this place to have some minor adjustments made. It didnt take very long, the work was great, and the price was even better! Responses via phone and email were quick, and the service was over-the-top friendly. I ended up buying a new case and bow while I was there; everything is reasonably priced and high-quality.
