Was helping a friend empty a storage facility on the property by renting a cargo van for the day. The price was very reasonable for the van plus insurance and mileage. I would recommend them to someone needing a truck or van for fall/winter cleaning.

One particular female employee lied twice in one day. She had plenty of time to be on her phone each time. I had to wait while she finished her conversation the first time. Then later while she finished texting. The lies - First about not being able to take a cash payment at 8am. I can actually tell her where the cash bag is Ive used this location so often in the past few years! 2nd to me about available equipment later in the morning. Told me there were no open trailers available. I was looking at at least 10 sitting on the lot. Walked outside and made a reservation online for the exact trailer I wanted, then walked back inside and finished my transaction ( not with her ).The reason Im able to give 4 stars is the other employees there have always been fabulous and willing to do whatever it takes to help their customers. I would recommend this location to anyone having used their services for vans, transport carriers, open and closed trailers as well as up to 3 storage units at one time during our recent move.

I use them a lot not only to move, but when picking up new and disposing of old furniture. I currently have a climate controlled unit there. Ive also had an outdoor unit. Either is fine depending on what youre storing. Friendly staff. Nice and clean!

I had a good experience here. The U-Haul staff member was very helpful when the online self check-in wasnt working correctly, and he got me on my way pretty quickly. The truck was almost brand new, and returning the vehicle after hours was seamless and easy.

UPDATE: I sent a letter to Uhaul’s corporate location about my concerns. I was contacted by Jeffrey, who is a marketing manager in the Virginia area. He was very apologetic and understanding and was very fair as we talked about what appropriate compensation would be. If I were rating my experience with him, I would give him 5/5 stars. I am keeping my 2/5 stars rating for the location, because I still have never been contacted by the location.My wife and I picked up our Uhaul from this location to move to Utah. My experience with Uhaul was overall negative as we had problems both before and after pick up. We originally reserved a 15’ truck. The day before our pickup date I updated the insurance online. I noticed that there was a “discount” in the billing that increased our price. I called Uhaul for 2 hours and was redirected between multiple Uhaul representatives without any answer. While I was on the phone, I received a call from a Uhaul representative who informed me that there had been a “glitch in the system” that took me off of my reservation and that there were no available trucks for 100-200 miles. She stated that “I should have called instead of updating the insurance online.” Upon further review she was able to find a 10’ truck for us to use and gave us a $100 refund for the change. This change was a very stressful alteration less than 24 hours before our travel date.One positive in our experience was when we picked up our truck, the man who helped hook the trailer and uhaul was very kind and knowledgeable. He is the reason this review is not 1/5 stars.After I picked up the truck and we loaded our supplies in it, I got a notification on the dashboard that one of my tires had low pressure. This tire was slowly leaking and that day we stopped around 6 times to fill up the tire with air. After the third stop we initiated “immediate” roadside assistance. At first we were able to drive about an hour between stops, but by the end of the night we were stopping every 15-20 minutes We attempted to use fix a flat, which was unsuccessful in fixing the tire. We eventually stopped around 11 pm 2 hours short of our first night’s destination, which made us miss our reserved hotel. Despite requesting Uhaul “immediate” roadside assistance in the early night, we did not have someone come to fix our tire until 1:30 AM.The next morning that same tire was leaking again after they came to fix it. Uhaul then sent someone who replaced the rim and the tire, which fixed that problem. Because of that wait, we stopped around midnight, again missing a second reserved hotel.The third day we drove 14 hours to make up lost time and made it in around 11 pm at our reserved hotel. As I was pulling into the hotel I got a notification that another tire had low pressure. That tire had to be fixed the next morning. This Uhaul roadside assistance representative was quick and helpful.Upon arriving to our destination, we filed a customer action file for a partial refund due to the money, time, and danger these issues caused us. About a week later I received a $50 refund that was supposed to close the file. We called customer service to reopen the file since these delays cost us at least $200. In addition, it created a great amount of stress and put us in increased danger driving on a tire that had low pressure across the country. Since the time of reopening the file I have called customer service and messaged the location directly without any response from the location. It has been almost 4 weeks since we arrived at our destination without any further refund or acknowledgement. I will update this review if we receive any message from the location.

This team is not helpful over the phone. I called in this morning, and they could not find my u-box reservation. The representative then transferred me to their scheduler, who I am pretty sure was not there. I was on hold for 20 minutes, and then when the phone began to ring it would ring out and they would put me on hold this cycle happened several times. I then hung up and called the corporate office. They might be helpful in the store, but over the phone they are not helpful.

My uhaul experience was a nightmare, except people here. 1 thing recommenfed movers 2 unload truck told me 2 guys 2 hrs $125. It took 1 1/2 hrs 2 unload my truck. They charged me $125/hr. 3 hr minimum. After i gave each guy $40 4 doing a good job. WATCH OUT THEIR OUT THERE!

The customer service here is horrid. After I checked in and left I had no idea what I had agreed to or even paid for. The guy who worked the counter mumbled the entire time, when I asked a question he would ignore it or act like I was dumb for not knowing something. Ended up renting for two days when I only needed one because of this, Also he asked me how many miles I would need and I said I didnt know he replied back do you not have a GPS on your phone and the address? I paid almost $200 & had the smallest uhual for 24 hrs & went maybe 40 miles, plus the gas i put back into it. Felt like a rip off honestly. I wouldnt return here again.. Do not recommend.

Ive used other uhaul locations in Lynchburg, at this one they actually help you, they are understaffed based on the amount of people waiting for service, but better by far than the others in town.

Horrible treatment from all employees, they charge me 3 additional days, 2 gallons of gas and 27 more miles. Because trust the employees will do the right thing, however, I was far from the actual true. Avoid this place, and if you have use them take pictures of everything before and after taking the equipment do NOT trust them for nothing. It took me several days and hours in phone to get some money back. Uhaul was not very helpful either, it took a huge fight and many hours in the phone.

Shipped a uBox to this location. They told me that I couldnt access it because they needed to have 24 hours notice (first time hearing this). Then when I set up a truck to pick up my own uBox, they told me it would be ready by 7 am... get there at 9am... and the front desk tells me it wont be ready until midday. As a person who called off work and called to verify this information the day before...it was crazy to hear they are not on top of service or communication. Please do yourself a favor and use another place. I have wasted time and money with this uhaul.

This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a company. It was by far the worst customer service ever. I went in for a a hitch installation and also rent a trailer as I was going to be moving to south. I was told that I would have a trailer hitch installed on May 10th but after dropping my car off for 2 hours on the 10th they told me they didn’t have the parts in stock. Fast forward a couple weeks it was 2 days before I was supposed to pull the trailer that I rented from Uhaul and they still did not have any of the parts in stock. Between the 10th and the 21st of May I had to reach out multiple times to both this location and corporate about what the status was of my parts/what an alternative option would be. There were many things that I was told that never actually happened. For instance, I was told that the location was going to try and outsource a hitch locally and be contacted by someone at the Timberlake location. I never heard anything from them about it but I was able to outsource my own parts and receive them all in less than 24 hours. I could go on and on about the many things that went wrong throughout this experience. I highly recommend that you do your research before acquiring any service, products or parts from this location. I will not be doing business with Uhaul again.

This is the best Uhaul Ive ever dealt with. Ive been helping a lady prepare for a move to Richmond and Ive had to get multiple boxes, packing materials, etc from here and the customer service is amazing. They went out of their way to make sure I got the best rate on a truck to make a 1 day run to Richmond and saved me over $300. I would HIGHLY recommend going through this Uhaul for your next move or just to rent a truck for a day to pick up something from the store.

I will NEVER use uhaul again. They charged me for things I didn’t use. Furniture pads, never used em, an extra day, returned my equipment early. I asked for 6 hours, they gave me 4 so I had to rush to move an entire 2 bedroom home in 4 hours and somehow managed to do it and still return the truck before time was up. I returned it on March 28th at 3:37pm, picked up March 28th at 11:25am. I have the proof. I used a dolly which was supposed to be $7, got charged $12. Whatever. Charged an extra day. Said I dropped it off March 29th at 12 something. Funny cause I was at work on March 29th and started work at 8:30. Said I used furniture pads which were still sealed up, in the bag, in the exact spot they hung them in the truck. The plastic piece you have to break was still intact. Charged me for gas, okay, I forgot to replace the gas, so that was expected, but the rest? My total should have been every bit of $96.38. That’s after taxes. I got charged $169. THEN they tried to take $53.95 out my account after I brought it to their attention that I was charged for things I shouldn’t have been. THEN they tried to take out another $19.99. I thankfully keep my cards turned off, otherwise me and my 3 kids would’ve been struggling until I got paid after having over $200 taken out my account for things I DID NOT USE! I have spoken with Gregory Martin, he was responding. Said I would get the $53.95 back but that was a few weeks ago. Nothing has hit my account from them. When Ive messaged him back, no response. They have poor communication skills, poor management skills and overall just thieves in my eyes after this considering I know of 2 people personally they have done this too and have not given their money back still. I plan on going to speak with Gregory face to face to get this resolved. If that’s possible.

Good selection of moving materials but the customer service was horrendous. Upon my arrival, there were three employees and one customer already being helped at checkout. 20 minutes later, that same customer got done and I was helped. After I finished checkout, no one offered to help move supplies to my vehicle (many large bundles of boxes and supplies) even when they saw me struggling to manage on my own. I’ll look a little longer for a better location next time.

The manager at the Timberlake location is spot on. If you ever have any issues please speak with her. Her name is Shamika Tucker and she makes you feel at home. When I was getting passed around with corporate after I had issues on I-85 in N.C. Today 08/19/2020 I finally called the Timberlake location and asked for her to call me back at her convenience and she called me after hours to make sure everything was okay. My friends that is called dedication and she was apologizing for the way corporate had done when she did not to. I explained to her that nothing was her fault and she still was saying she was sorry the troubles I had. If not for her U-Haul would have lost another customer. Only because of her I will deal with U-Haul again only if I can deal with her. U-Haul please give this awesome manager a raise.Blessings

I didnt actually work this location, but I did work with the NRV area manager, William Lewis. The location that my U-haul was reserved through had to close due to COVID. The day before my move, Mr. Lewis contacted me to inform me of the change and that the closest truck was about 50 minutes from my original pickup location. Unfortunately, that plan would not work for me. Mr. Lewis, however did not give up trying to accommodate my needs. He contacted me 15 minutes later with a truck that was closer and went above and beyond to make sure that my family had what we needed for our move. In the middle of a pandemic its always nice to find people willing to go beyond their job description for customer satisfaction. 10 stars to Mr. William Lewis!!!

I reserved a storage unit online yesterday with my credit card and came in today to get a lock and start storing. There were two men and a woman there who I believe was the manager. The man who I initially went to at the register was not wearing a mask or a name badge. He told me that I would have to pay cash or come back tomorrow to pay for the storage because the card reader was broken. I asked if I could go see the unit, he sent me the wrong direction, wrong building. I came back, he just sat there and told me I was not looking hard enough. The other man who was finishing up with another customer asked what number I had and told me where to go. He later came out and helped me find the unit and I told him what happened with not being able to pay by credit card which was putting me in a dilemma with my plans to store. He told me he could check and enter my card into their computer system manually for me if needed. His name was Dustin, he was very helpful and the only one there wearing a face mask and name badge. So we went back inside, the manager and other man were clearly upset I was being helped by Dustin. The manager tried to block Dustin from the register saying she was using it (but there were no other customers at the time) and the other man who insisted I pay cash or come back tomorrow were both clearly upset towards Dustin because was helping me. Dustin checked me in, manually entered my credit card and gave me my paperwork. My heart goes out to Dustin for helping me when clearly no one else in the building wanted to. What was immensely upsetting to me was the way the manager and other man were hostile towards Justin for simply doing his job and providing good customer service, something that neither of the other two wanted to do. I think this UHaul needs to be investigated further, 1st because of the man who insisted I pay cash or come back tomorrow, and 2nd for poor management for creating and facilitating a hostile work environment towards the one person there actually doing work and providing good customer service. Thank you Dustin for providing good customer service in a hostile environment, I hope the corporate office takes notice and supports you. I also filed a complaint regarding what I observed and hope you are not subject to that type of hostility in the future. No one deserves to be treated that way, not you or I.

Had to wait for more than hour to get a rental truck that we had booked online earlier. And there wasn’t even a line in front of us. Just one counter was open and the rep was working on the one customer all that time. Neither the rep, nor the customer were bothered about people behind.Could not cancel as we were in the middle of moving our apartment.Definitely not returning back to this place.

Phenomenal service. I feel like the negative reviews are for Uhaul in general and not the Timberlake location. This location is great. I purchased storage, a climate controlled unit and they have the absolute best price anywhere. The owner was nice and helpful and the place was spotless. I got there to pick up the truck that Id reserved and was suppose to have it for 24 hours and I have the email to confirm it. But I was informed that their computer only said I wanted it for 6 hours. So I have to suffer because they over booked and double booked there trucks. And this is the Uhaul on Timberlake.

This place is so slow. Messed up my reservation twice. Offered free day then wouldn’t honor it. Wait in line for an hour with only a couple people in front of me. For The person in front of me, they could not find the right keys. Took them 45 minutes to look and still hadn’t found it when I left. Crazy!

Truck was not cleaned between customers! Totally unacceptable with the coronavirus outbreak! When it was brought to the staffs attention, Staff was extremely RUDE (Shameka Tucker was the worst one of them all) Also our credit card was charged TWICE for items we didnt receive! Not only were we charged for a dolly and moving blankets (twice, because we had the truck for 2 days) but for some reason the dolly that was 7$ one day was 21$ the next and the moving blankets that were 10$ one day were 30$ the next! Worst uhaul location I have EVER been to!!HORRIBLE customer service representatives!! I had scheduled my pickup time, arrived at the location/office to do pickup, I ended up waiting for 25 minutes just for someone to show up at the desk even after I went outside and asked a uhaul employee for help at the desk. I also ended up waiting 30 minutes for someone to show up at the desk when I wanted to return my rental.Then during my rental they provided me with false information and now I am being extremely overcharged.I even rented the uhaul truck which automatically qualifies you for a 24 hour rental, instead they wrote on the contract that I could only have it for 14 hours and charged me an extra full day without telling me (instead of the 24 hours).

I use uhaul frequently and Andrew, who is fairly new to the timberlake location, always greets us with a friendly smile and excellent customer service. He will always acknowledge you once you walk through the door and is very personable, unlike some of the employees that weve worked with in the past. He would make an outstanding manger! We will continue to use the timberlake uhaul because we know Andrew will always take care of us!

The worst experience. I reserved a 10 foot U-haul on a Wednesday, to be picked up on that following Saturday at 8:00 at the Timberlake location. Simple enough, right? I received a text on Thursday, stating I would pick up a 10 foot U-haul at 1:00 in Altavista. I attempted to edit the location, I was unsuccessful. I then reached out by having an on-line chat with one of the associates. I was advised she could change the time, but not the location. What? I never agreed to a 1:00 pick-up, much less in Altavista. She advised me to contact a manager, gave me a number to call. I did, I spoke with Benjamin who was apologetic. Stating U-haul did not have a 10 foot truck, hence sending me to Altavista. As I explained to him, no one ever gave me this information. I encouraged him to listen to the recorded conversation I had on Wednesday, there was never any mention of Altavista; I never agreed to that. he then advised a truck I requested would be at Timberlake at 8:00. I go to pick up the truck, greeted by a young man would has no people skills. he advises the last person who had the truck left it with less than a quarter of a tank, he gave me $6.00 off-thanks. He takes me to the truck, I check the back, thank goodness! The truck had 2 tires, 2 fifty gallon drums, with liquid in it, and a bucket . Are you kidding me? He then tells me I can get a larger truck and he wont charge. No, I do not want a bigger truck, I do not need a bigger truck. He says, well, you are going to have to wait, so I can unload it. I sought out someone who was a supervisor there, I cant remember his name. I shared with him my experience with U-hual since Wednesday. I he offered to give me a $50.00 credit and I accepted it. One would think, when you are spending over $400.00 you would not have to jump through hoops, due to the poor communication skills of the employees. Lack of communication skills or poor customer service? Decide for yourself.

The service was pretty sub-par, but I guess I didnt really go there for their service. I just wanted a cheap rate on a rental truck and thats what I got.The trucks are surprisingly fuel efficient. I borrowed the truck on full tank and when I returned it after about 22 miles, it was still a full tank so I didnt need to add any more gas to the tank. That was great!

On the phone they confirmed the tow vehicle and trailer would work and upon arrival was forced to purchase a brake light adapter from them because their trailers use old connection. Well, the most shocking thing that happened is when I was told by customer service agent Amber at the 1800 Uhaul customer service number that the general manager, Mr. Dooley, at the Lynchburg Timberlake location knows that I brushed my teeth and combed my hair in a locked private restroom at the facility. I entered the restroom with a closed purse and exited the same way. The bathroom had not been cleaned, so how did he know the only 2 things I did in the restroom. Hmmm..... I was told this was not allowed. I live in Boston and had flown to Lynchburg to pick up my deceased mother’s things. Due to the flight schedule I arrived very late in the evening. I went to the facility and worked overnight to organize things to prepare it to be loaded on the truck the next day at noon. The truck I got from Budget cancelled, so I used the only plug in the building to charge my phone to make calls to try to change all my plans and secure another truck. I didn’t rent a car and was using Uber. I went to the office, but Uhaul had no trucks available. I told the assistant manager Dustin that I would be working overnight to consolidate my 2 storage units into 1 and I would fly out at 6:00AM in the morning. The assistant manager, Dustin, agreed to this. At 1AM that night I stepped outside the building with no phone or coat just to get some air. When I go to open the door I’m locked out of the building. Inside the building is my purse, money, phone and Both storage units are unlocked with items pulled out into the hallway. At 1AM with no coat I walked almost 2 miles to Kroger grocery store and borrowed the store phone to call uhaul. This is when I was told Mr. Dooley knows what I do in the restroom and I was humiliated by being told I had to prove where I live, work, and prove flight information. I asked to please be allowed back into the building as everything is in there. My money, credit cards, phone, everything. They said no. Once Dooley makes a decision he doesn’t answer his phone anymore. So, I was locked out of the building for 6 hours and was stuck at Kroger. I couldn’t get a hotel nothing because again my phone wallet money everything is locked in the building. When I walked back to the storage location in the morning Mr. Dooley would not talk to me. Dustin seemed shocked about what had happened. Now at this point I’ve missed my morning flight and I’m being forced to take a later flight. So, Mr. Dooley is also deciding to put my job with Delta Airlines at Boston Logan Airport at risk if I don’t arrive back in time for work. I showed Dustin supporting documentation showing flight, address, and work badges proving where I live and work. Humiliating. He was the one who said it was ok to stay overnight and consolidate the 2 units. Mr Dooley will not respond to any calls. Even his manger will not respond. The customer resolution file was closed by Mr Dooley himself saying it was resolved, but I have never even talked to or seen him. All I asked for was to be credited back for the smaller unit I was trying to move out of, but was not allowed to move from due to being locked out for brushing my teeth and combing hair. Is that too much to ask? Especially, after having to reschedule a flight and sitting at Kroger for 6 hours overnight. The whole experience was horrible. The worst customer service I have ever had and to have no acknowledgement at all from Uhaul is just unbelievable.

I called them over a week ago to order a hitch and they scheduled me to come in at 0730 this morning to install it. They said it would only take them a couple hour so I planned to leave there, hook my trailer on and head to PA to pick up a purchase. I arrived early and checked in and waited over 45 minutes before being told that they did not get the hitch. They were not even apoplectic and in no way offered to make the situation right. I got the feeling that it was my fault for expecting that appointment to be firm.I told them that a minimal amount of customer service would simply have been to call me yesterday to let me know the hitch was not in. I wasted a whole day and missed my pickup because they could not pick up the phone and just let me know.What bothered me the most was the attitude I was met with. They did not seem in the least bit concerned or willing to accommodate. Advise, AVOID this business.

I generally have a decent experience with uhaul overall but not at the timberlake rd location in lynchburg. It is the worst. The facility itself is nice but why they would leave 4 or 5 kids (including the man bun sportin general manager) runnin the place I dont understand. There were no other customers and 4 or 5 of them (none couldve been over 20) but they couldnt get me a trailer because it was raining and guess they were afraid theyd get their hair wet. Finally when it slowed to a drizzle I asked if someone would now help me. After one guy meandered around for 15 min I finally told him to fn keep it and left. 45min with no other customers, all of them and I cant get a trailer. Pathetic. They all had the attitude like they didnt want to be there. Someone in authority over the gm should fix that for them.

Had the worst experiences with Uhaul. They couldnt place my ubox for a while and I was having to call over and over getting transferred to everywhere but where I needed to be. Finally got the box to me and for two months, they continued to charge my card for storing my stuff (which had been delivered already.) They refunded it but I still had 70$ taken, two months in a row and had to wait several days to be refunded. Staff at the location were friendly and helpful, it my experience with Uhaul was a nightmare.

Never in my life have I worked with a company that rents out vehicles but has no idea on what to do when a problem arises. We had an issue with our truck and my main priority was to get it back, spoke with 6 representatives regarding my issue. I was literally told to google a resolution.

I have been a frequent, loyal customer and today I got a truck that used twice the amount of gasoline than it should have or has a faulty gasoline guage. I rented 3 trucks in November that were spot on for the gasoline usage, but I got a lemon today and the manager didnt seem to care. Therefore, you lost my business to Budget truck rental. You could have just refunded me the $3, your loss.PS, Im not going to run the truck for 10 minutes while I wait for your guage to read the amount of gasoline at the gas pump. Bye

Called this u haul on Timberlake rd where to start go to pick up my truck and reservation was messed up made for the wrong week. No truck was available anywhere is what I was told ... they needed a credit card for the reservation and then they used my credit card to order a ton of stuff online BUYER BEWARE!!!! Cost me about 400$ and got no truck. This was a terrible experience I will never use them again and would recommend you find other means!!! 0 star rating!!!

Furniture was water damaged after the flooding in Lynchburg a couple weeks ago. We received a free month of storage which we thought was a blessing. It turns out it would have saved us money to store it in a better quality facility. The manager said that they do not label their units as waterproof and since we didn’t have insurance during our free month of rent, it’s at our loss. I asked to speak with a manager higher up and he said that his manager “wouldn’t touch an issue like this”. He also said that Uhaul rents its units and they do not even do inspections on them. I would highly advise anyone who had their belongings stored there to go see if they have been damaged. We will never be using Uhaul again.

If I could post this with ZERO stars I would. On May 9, 2018 I ordered a 10 truck from U-Haul MOVING AND STORAGE OF TIMBERLAKE, 7401 TIMBERLAKE RD, LYNCHBURG, VA. I RECEIVED my CONFIRMATION #. I drove 10 hours from NY to VA to move my daughter out of her apartment. I called ahead to say what time I would be picking up the truck. I arrived at U-Haul MOVING AND STORAGE OF TIMBERLAKE, 7401 TIMBERLAKE RD, LYNCHBURG, VA only to be told that they DID NOT HAVE A TRUCK FOR ME. The nearest one was 1 hour and 14 minutes away, in the opposite direction, so 2 1/2 hours round trip. The employee/manager said SORRY, we dont have ANYTHING here for you to use. Completely stunned and now panicked, I left that location WITHOUT A TRUCK. I called customer service to see if there were any vehicles closer. I was transferred 3 times, to someone in NC, TX and somewhere else. Each time explaining the whole story again. Finally, a customer service man named Khan from Texas, found a possible truck in Bedford, VA, 25 minutes away. The store wasnt open yet, so I waited and called to see if there was really a truck on site and available and HOWARD answered and we drove 25 minutes away to pick it up. So the 9am reservation that I had at U-Haul MOVING AND STORAGE OF TIMBERLAKE, 7401 TIMBERLAKE RD, LYNCHBURG, VA was COMPLETELY USELESS, and thanks to Howard, I finally had a truck by 1pm. I then proceeded to load this vehicle and drive 12 hours back to NY, arriving at 2:45am. I will NEVER recommend using U-Haul MOVING AND STORAGE OF TIMBERLAKE, 7401 TIMBERLAKE RD, LYNCHBURG, VA. Having a reservation at that location means NOTHING. Lynchburg is a college town and a place where people DEPEND on moving trucks, for specific dates and times, and trust that if you make a reservation, it will be there. We were packed, needing to leave that day and thanks to U-Haul MOVING AND STORAGE OF TIMBERLAKE, 7401 TIMBERLAKE RD, LYNCHBURG, VA., everything was completely messed up!

Well, I have a mixed opinion on uhaul right now. Here is my story. I went in to get a trailer wiring harness installed on my Honda Civic on 6/30 for which I self installed the hitch. Customer service was outstanding (why this review is a 2/5 and not a 1/5) and was able to get the part and work me into the busy schedule. I got my car back in a timely manner, but when I returned home to get a closer look at the vehicle, the wiring to the battery from the rear of the vehicle was so loose that it was almost hitting the pavement. It was only secured with two zip ties.So wiring underneath the vehicle is not a big deal, but it was so loosely attached that any stick I could have run over could have ripped the whole wiring system out. Additionally, the rear panels of my trunk were not properly reinstalled and were hanging out from the edges.Thankfully the system worked properly with my trailer, but it was a very sloppy, rushed, not properly done job. I would not take my vehicle back to this shop to get additional work.Now Im going to spend my Saturday under my vehicle securing wires and reinstalling my trunk appolstery that I had paid uhaul to do properly but wasnt done.

Most likely the fault of corporate reservations but the situation was not fixed by the store. I was called at 4 PM the day before my pickup to confirm my reservation that I had for 3 weeks. I was told that the car carrier was in Lynchburg but the moving truck was in Lexington (1 1/2 hours away). I explained that I would have to drive to Lexington to pick up the truck, drive back to Lynchburg to get the car carrier, back to Lexington to load my car on the carrier, then back to Lynchburg to load the truck with my stuff for the move. This would have been 6 extra hours of driving and a lot of wasted gas money. The uhaul attend was not helpful at all and gave me the managers phone number after I requested to speak to him. The manager did not respond to any of the voicemail messages. I tried to call corporate customer service but they never answered the phone after 30 minutes on hold.I ended up calling Penske and they made sure I got a local truck and car carrier on short notice.

When i rented last year the counter staff was rude at me when he did not understand what I was asking, infront of another store member he actually said stop being a d.... when I was a little angry at their lack of interest in customers. I would not rent from them again because of this treatement and I am going to downtown uhaul instead.
