My stuff went missing. microwave, clothes, and other valuables. Elevator inside has been broken over a year Wich they dont tell you!! My stuff was on 3rd or 4th floor. Its not a totally enclosed room and things can be passed over the top...smh. Also, found roaches in box, def from U-haul location! Disgusting. Black woman at desk...maybe the manager sent her son upstairs to unlock unit and he had no idea what key and seemed very uncomfortable. Unprofessional and akward at the same time. I dont recommend anyone use this location! Nasty thrives with terrible customer service!!

Rented a uhaul for 3 days. On the 3rd day we get a bunch of calls from the Jessica Johnson that works there rushing us because they were having someone rent the truck that we brought up from Tennessee at 6. They wait till 20 minutes to 6 to call us and tell us that we needed to have the truck brought back ASAP. She left us a voicemail saying that we were suppose to return the truck the day before (a lie) and then proceeded to continue to rush us to the point we had no time to refill the gas tank and charged us $260.00 she was very rude when my fiancé rushed over there to return the truck (in the middle of us moving the rest of the stuff out.)

Sent by the other uhaul in town to get propane. Arrived to a customer service.rep who could care less to help. Simply told me she did not have the keys. No idea when she would or when she could provide propane.

I have chose to used Lynchburg U-Haul for several thing, from renting trucks, buying packing supplies to having a hitch add on to my brand new Subaru Outback, Lynchburg U-Haul has never let me down. They are alway prompt, polite, fair, and the pricing is well within the affordable range. And I find they will do everything they can to find you the rental you need. And there garage services are excellent and done by professional.

At this U-Haul location we were given fabulous service by a young man named Josh M. We needed a towing part for our truck and he was extremely helpful! We highly recommend this location because of the service we got from this young man. Other people may not have been as willing to help, but he went above and beyond what he needed to do!!

I rented a inside storage unit for over 3 years. I went by to pay my monthly payment. I had to put something in my unit.When I went inside the unit had flooded. Note that this is a inside unit. I immediately went inside and told them. They absolutely didnt care. I then emailed the manager to call me ASAP which she didnt. I had to call her the next day. We lost all of our winter items.We was told by 2 different employees 2 different stories. One was the person might have left the water run and overflowed the mop bucket. The other one is maybe the toilet has a leak.Black mold is growing on the walls. Luckily we had taken out a little insurance with them. But it hardly covers what we loss. Uhaul should give us some compensation as well for the items we loss.I thought the leak was fixed. I had to put a box in on Saturday and when I went back on Sunday the box had a wet spot where the water had dropped down on it.If you are reading this review DONOT RENT A STORAGE UNIT AT PARK AVENUE IN LYNCHBURG, VA.

Great staff, but the new bail head light skin guy, is sexy as hell

I was contacted by a Uhaul rep a few days before my scheduled pickup. She wanted to check me in over the phone to save time. She then told me I had two reservations and I promptly told her I only needed one truck. I clarified with her which reservation to keep and she correctly confirmed which truck I needed. Unfortunately she deleted the wrong one and when I showed up to get my truck on moving day they had no truck for me and my movers were coming in two hours. The agent behind the counter offered no apology and was immediately defensive about the mistake. She did call and find me another truck but it was 1 hour and twenty minutes away in South Boston, VA. Also, she didnt bother to tell me that she had secured the truck for me so after 15 minutes of waiting patiently for her I approached her again to see if I had a truck and she said yes. I asked her why she didnt bother to tell me this while I was waiting and her response to me was, Do I have to do everything for you? I was so shocked I really didnt know how to reply. I will never use this location again. I would recommend any other Uhaul in town over this location. I wish this story wasnt true and I am not out to ruin a business. Im still shocked this happened even as Im typing it now, but it did. I will say that the service in South Boston was far better.

I have rented trucks from U-Haul moving and Storage on numerous occasions - and have never experienced anything but good service from them. Smaller trucks for personal use to the largest for long business use hauls - I have always been satisfied with the customer service and the equipment. A little surprised by the negative reviews here.

The process was really easy and the staff was very nice. I appreciate the help I got after what I was already dealing with. The older gentleman there was awesome, I dont remember his name.

Called to see how much it would cost for a hitch for a 2019 ford ranger and all the guy wanted to do was well we can make a reservation never did get a price I will never go there again

U-Haul practices deceptive advertising. They offer equipment in Appomattox to be rented. I went to Top Notch Tees, reserved the vehicle for a local move and left. The vehicle was at Appomattox as late as 4:30 Friday afternoon July 13. Next, I get an email saying my reservation has changed to Lynchburg, which adds 50 miles to the rental and delays my moving start time. Do not use U-Haul unless you feel like getting lied to and ripped off.

Poorest service yet. Went for propane for a carpet cleaning truck. They said they didnt have an adaptor to fill it. Theu never even looked or attempted to try. Maybe a little drizzle made them lazy. Uhauls have the adaptor. I fill up at uhauls repeatedly. Just a downright lazy staff.

The truck seat did not adjust so your legs circulation is always cut off. The ac only had one speed that worked and they forgot to put in the dolly and blankets I will never use uhaul again.

This was by far the worst customer experience Ive ever had. Made a reservation for a storage unit and when I walked in they couldnt find it. Ended up going for a bigger unit but their credit card machine wasnt working apparently. But what really made me give this review one star was the manager. Ive never seen someone act so unprofessionally in a work setting. Manager called me ignorant and said she didnt have the patience to help me. She then proceeded to walk out of the store while muttering insults under her breath! At that point I told my mother that I didnt want to do business with this company. Probably wont ever do buissness with U-Haul again.

If I could rate zero I would. Customer service was so poor when I called to get assistance, the young female who answered the phone was not interested in helping me, she kept telling me to call another location. When I asked for her manager she hung up on me. Had to call the corporate number to get any help.

These guys/gals are great! Professional yet pleasant, helpful, flexible, and reasonable.

Rent a truck several times from this place. The last time I rented one when I got to the destination the check engine light was on and the truck was smoking and losing power. My friend notified the manger when we return the truck and nothing was done about this.
