I had the best experience today! I was matched with the perfect foundation, concealer and primer. The manager helped me and was super helpful when I expressed my concerns about my skin. I have blemishes. I’m oily and acne prone so she took the time to find the right product that would be great with my skin. I couldn’t make my purchase today because I stupidly forgot my wallet πŸ€¦πŸΎβ€β™€οΈ I will be back to purchase my beauty products in a few weeks!

Manager of the store literally GLARED at is the ENTIRE time we were there. I’ve never been so uncomfortable in a store before. Told another employee and she said they just have to keep an eye out for theft, which is 100% reasonable. But I didn’t see that employee just completely staring at us the whole time. I even bought something and she still had the nerve to keep poking her eyeballs on the back of my head.

Terrible service. So many items are out of stock. I waited for 15 min at the free mini makeover station and wasnt acknowledged by any of the 4 workers in the store. Finally asked if I could be helped with picking out a new foundation. After I was matched to one, I asked if I could get the mini makeover with it to see how it looks full face. The guy did half of my face w/ just the foundation and told me to do the rest and said he would come back to check on me. HE NEVER CAME BACK. He walked around the store and talked w/ some people, and then he LEFT THE STORE to go on his LUNCH BREAK. I sat there looking around, and no other worker came over. So I finally went and asked another worker if my mini makeover was done. She said oh I think he was too excited to go on his lunch break, so I guess Im finishing your makeover. She did my eyebrows really quick and then said ok youre done. Then when I checked out to get the foundation he matched me to, it was out of stock online as well, so I couldnt even purchase the foundation. What a joke.

Love this store! I had a few questions and John spent SO MUCH time with me and my friend and was incredibly patient. I did not feel rushed and he was just so kind! So knowledgeable and made me feel like he truly cared and he kept us laughing, asked me a bunch of questions to help personalize further what I needed and it legitimately felt like I was just talking to a friend! Huge fan now:)

The last three visits have left me stressed out. The customer service is terrible. I feel belittled any time I ask a question and that Im a bother to whoever is working. I get being under-staffed and overwhelmed by how busy it can get in there at times, but man, I dont want to feel like garbage every time I walk in here. I would just skip an in-store visit and order online.

Horrible customer service! The store is poorly stocked. I don’t know I bothered going into the store because they didn’t carry half the products I was looking for in the store. While I was shopping I heard the staff complaining about the customers. They acted annoyed by me during my checkout for the one product that I decided to purchase. I’ll be sure to take my business else where next time.

Last experience was good because no one else was in the store. The prior time I was willing to spend 200 dollars for a new full face. I was told that I couldnt be helped anymore because two young girls wanted free make overs. They looked like they were 14. I think uts a shame that a person willing to spend a significant amount of money was put aside for two girls who I dount would have bought anything.

Some products say in stock online, but when I get to the store, its nowhere to be found. Update your inventory. Cant tell you how annoying it is to walk in multiple times throughout several weeks with the expectation of a product being in stock when it really isnt... The only Sephora within a 60 mile radius, which means its that much more important to keep inventory updated and stocked.

So happy to finally have some good makeup selection in Lynchburg! When I visited the store it was fairly busy and I think there was only employee but she was very attentive asking me if I needed help a few times and was doing a great job helping people.

Service left a lot to be desired. Came in around 3:30 on a Tuesday, so I didnt expect them to have a bunch of people working, but as I was walking in, one female employee was walking out and was gone for my entire visit (~30 minutes), coming back right as I was leaving.That left one male employee, who attended to several other customers without even acknowledging me, verbally or otherwise.This is really disappointing to me, and has never happened at any other location Ive been to across the country. I had a couple of specific questions that wouldnt have taken much time and was prepared to spend $75+, but I got fed up after 30 minutes of milling around and left.Come on guys, you can do better than that.

Samantha walked passed me a total of 5 times, looked me in my face 3 times and did not speak. I am dissatisfied with the service here. I will not be returning. Its a shame because Shea and Cassie were a pleasure after the fact. Please remind your employees to treat everyone fairly . You never know with whom you are entertaining.

I was in the store on Wednesday, March 6th. I was the only one in the store. The woman working looked as though I was a bother when she finally stopped what she was doing to ask if I needed anything. I was looking at foundation, she offered to match it, I bought it, and it’s too light. She was extremely unfriendly. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because John is such a wonderful representation of how Sephora employees should be. I don’t know if management ever reads the reviews, but they should.

Awful service and management!!! Carried my daughter here to buy make up..waited for about 30 minutes for service. After finally being waited on the sales person stood and talked with friends for another 15 minutes while leaving us to continue to wait. Last purchase here, would rather drive to another city. Have watched many waiting customers leave. Dont waste your time. Go somewhere else!

I have been there 5 times now. 3 out of 5 times I had just gotten off from work and I dont typically wear makeup to work. Therefore, the staff wouldnt acknowledge me; when I asked a question they didnt want to help me. But when I went back wearing makeup and no longer in uniform, they were all over me. I find this very insulting. They should treat all clients the same, no matter what.

I just left this location feeling better about sephora overall. At the one in Charlottesville I feel as if im a bother the girls want to chit chat with each other versus helping clients. Here i was greated before entering the store and asked a couple more times if i needed help. By the 3rd time i had decided on 2 products i wanted to try and asked Cheyenne which she thought was better. She gave me both with wonderful recommendations on how to use them. I will be coming here over Charlottesville for anything I need from sephora. Thank you ladies for giving sephora a better cuatomer service vibe.

Worst customer service ever on MULTIPLE occasions. I will not ever drop a dime here. I’ll drive elsewhere. Not to mention, they look like they’re going out of business because nothing is stocked, it’s empty and unorganized.

This is a really sad excuse for a Sephora. Even one located at jcpenny. They are always out of stock and if I have a question I have to wait around forever. The employees will ignore you half the time.
