Purchased a game and got home to realize there was no disc. I asked if they could offer anything in exchange for me having to drive back after getting home and realizing there was no game disc. They said no. This is not the first time this has happened to me at this location.

Looking at my recent experiences, I didnt know what to expect going to a Gamestop. The value of the stores and the managers that run these stores have seemingly only declined. It doesnt help that instead of seeing a crew when you walk in, you only see a manager but I understand that is because of covid. But this Gamestop is an exception.As soon as I walked in I was greeted. Not the generic I might get in trouble if I dont do this greeting, but a genuine greeting. I was browsing while the assisyant manager was working but he and I quickly got to talking about recent games. He told me information about the Lynchburg Gamestop as well, and the conversation wasnt forced at all. There was no one in line so I wouldve stayed longer for some good conversation but I had to run. Before I left he printed me a receipt proving that I had an unclaimed strategy guide that my local Gamestop never gave me, from 2016. This pre-order I made was in 2016. Keep in mind he did this without me even asking.Visiting the Wednesday after, I was looking for My-Hero (a very popular, and high-tier anime) items for my sister. Every Gamestop barely sells My-Hero gear, just hats and cheap socks at bare minimum. I notice that stores only advertise the male heros despite the fact that this show can be enjoyed by females just as much as males. The assistant manager from Tuesday walked in, and after greeting the customers he came to help. Even though I was willing to settle for almost anything My-Hero, I was looking for figurines. So he pulled up list after list of My-Hero figures. Again I noticed that the male heros get almost all the advertisement. I did see a sick Uraraka figurine that looked flawless, at least on-screen. Wouldve gladly paided full-price but its not releasing until June. Once he exhausted the pages of figures he did some thinking, and spoke to the acting manager on duty. She said that she knew of a My-Hero collectors edition that had its price knocked down a few times. After making a short phonecall she told me that shed drive it here from her store (I forget what store she was from), though I hadnt asked her to do so.Its too bad that this small store isnt larger inside, and out, its way too easy to miss between the stores next to it. If youre looking for a Gamestop that treats their customers like family, look for Brandon and Kaitlin at the Lynchburg Gamestop.

Has a lot of options for non game related things, such as stuffed animals, and plushes, if also has some cool boardgames and t shirts, all in all it is pretty solid.

I went in and the gentlemen employee was absolutely rude and was playing supersmash (And he was trash) on the clock while he made the lady do all the work and was just overall very rude I implore people not to use this gamestop as you will never get the help you need the guy doesnt care about the customers

Very unkind employee, did not try to assist me or answer my questions with a positive attitude was very rude . was making my first console purchase and he did not sell that at all, I should have went to another location to give a more respectable employee that credit, I would have bought a lot mpre to go with my system, so he did end up costing them more money they could have made.

Have been going to this Gamestop for a long time. Really friendly staff, and their store is always sorted really nice. Clearance section is very clearly marked, and the store is large enough that theres plenty of space to move. Much prefer this Gamestop versus the one on Wards Rd. Only rating 3 stars because they do tend to take a LONG time to move their Board Games to the clearance section and I had one really bad experience where one of the workers gave away my Aquaman statue that I was told would be held and put $10 down on.

I still dont understand why GameStop exists. You buy a $60 game you play it, you bring it back, the price still says $60, and its an unscratchable Blu-Ray, but it rings up that you get 12.99 back. Its as if theyre trying to say that the very fact that your hands handled this makes it worth less. Add on to that the rude employees are the knowledgeable ones and the friendly employees have no idea what theyre doing besides being really annoying, and I have no idea why someone would willingly shop here.

Do not Work for this company! They do not pay well and blame the employee for their own faults. I saw an employee lose his job while I was in the store because of the district managers lack of training him. DO NO WORK FOR THIS COMPANY!

Love this Gamestop. Great experience every time Im in this store. Friendly and helpful staff. Love looking at all the collectables. Definitely recommend going for any gamer in Lynchburg.

I love this game stop way better than the one on Wards rd. This game stop treats their customers with respect and is very helpful while the one on Wards Rd is rude, rushes you, and never answers the phone and doesnt like to answer your questions when you are there to shop and spend money.

I would have given this 0 stars but its not an option. Avoid this gamestop at all cost!! I will never purchase anything from here again. I purchased an xbox one call of duty bundle and it was faulty and they would not exchange it because I did not buy their extended warranty. I had this purchase for less than 10 days and I wanted to EXCHANGE it for a new one of the exact same thing not return for money back or for a different item. The gamestop on Wards road is a much better store they ended up working with me and exchanging it like I wanted. So if you want customer service dont go here go to the one on wards road.
