I placed an order for same day pickup around 6 pm. I got there around 8 pm and the order was not ready for pick up. So I waited there for a while and a store associate told me that the item may have been bought earlier by someone else which implies the online website had not updated when I was buying. So I proceeded to cancel my order because there was another Best Buy much closer that my product could be delivered to for me to pick up. When I got home, I found out I received an email from Best Buy that said my order was ready to be picked up at 8:25 pm. My order was canceled at 8:30 pm.They canceled my order without telling me or checking if my order was ready to be picked up! The other store associate was misleading. If another person bought the item (which was the only 1 left when I bought it online) earlier around 6 pm, how could it be ready to be picked up around 8 pm? Unless that person was me but the store associate implied a person who came in the store before me.
It was a good store that had all the modern electronics you would be looking for. We just went for one thing but it was a smooth and easy experience. We were asked for help by multiple associates which was a nice thing to have.
Im torn between 4 and 5 stars. I was in a hurry and knew exactly what I wanted, but the sales people were chatting with other customers. Probably about products and answering questions, but it was frustrating to see them having leisurely conversations when I was waiting.That said, when you do get helped, its polite, knowledgeable (if they dont know they will find out for you), and not pressured. They have an amazing return policy if you just dont like something or it doesnt work out for you for whatever reason, which by itself is a reason to shop there.In fact, in writing this Ive realized that they deserve 5 stars and Ive changed my rating. Its easy to buy things online but sometimes you just need to hold it in your hand or see it in person, and they are a really great place to get answers and feel confident in what you buy.
Ryan, an employee at Lynchburg Best Buy went out of his way to help my mom and I. He was extremely knowledgeable and polite. He explained everything well and helped my mom decide which iPhone would be the best fit for her need, even though she planned to order it from Apple and not Best Buy so she could trade in her old one. He took and backed up all her photos for us. He’s a true Angel, we are grateful to have met him!
The Lynchburg VA Best Buy sold me a defective Fuji film digital camera on Fathers Day 2021. It was a open box item (shelf display). I told Jason, the employee I’d like to see that it charges and turns on before purchase. He said “Trust me, it’ll work”. I shouldn’t have. The kiddos were excited to try it. We plugged it in to charge the battery, it wouldn’t charge!It was a huge inconvenience, I had to delay a meeting to return it the next morning. I have to wait to return a memory card reader because Jason ordered it and they can’t cancel the order.

Went to buy mac book pro but had to wait a while to find help also most other prices are expensive than amazon, this was one of my favorite place to shop electronic items before amazon or online market places dominate the shopping world😫 but still they have pretty good customers, i think still most guys like.to touch and feel the items before purchase i dont blame even i do like if the prices are competitive 😎

As they are coming out of the covid mess things are getting better and better with this Best Buy! Or the store shelves are starting to become restocked and a good variety is available! Their curbside delivery has been very helpful a few times over the last 3 months for me.
Bought a computer which is a great. The service was good but not great. Its like pulling teeth to get an opinion or answer from the staff.
An ok selection of electronics, we wanted to demo speakers, just a set by themselves, the system was useless. I used to be an audio sales rep, 25 plus years ago. We took a chance on some bookshelf speakers, which the recipient was happy with in the end. Its sad that people cant really test products, like we used to, in a brick and mortar store.
Great experience there is an associate there named Ryan who is very helpful and knowledgeable a real breath of fresh air with respect for customer service at this day and time.

When I went into Best Buy there were five people sitting around a bar looking thing looking at their phones. No one asked if I needed help as I was roaming around. I was looking for a new Fit bit and being uncertain where they were finally had to ask where they were and one sitting employee was kind enough to point me in the right direction( knowing full well you cant remove anything and look at it without a key to remove from post)So Im standing looking and finally someone( not one of the 5 so busy checking out their phone)did offer assistance. It seems there are a lot of people who either want to sit home and collect unemployment or sit on the job and collect a paycheck!!Customer service is a thing of the past!!

It’s a shame that even during times of Covid Best Buy refuses to be flexible with their return policy. I bought a TV and returned it unopened 22 days after I ordered it online. Apparently I was eight days too late and they would not refund my return. A 14 day return window (most companies allow at least 30) including the time it took to ship to my house is unacceptable. I will be taking my business elsewhere after this experience.
Its best buy what can I say. Employees are friendly and seem to know their stuff pretty well.

I love Best Buy, but not this location. Small selection, and the showrooms (with exception to laptops) are sparse, especially the TVs. It was like they didn’t even want to be in the business.The shelves were empty and it didn’t seem isolated to a particular department.If you want to shop Best Buy and live equidistant to Roanoke, go there instead.

The customer service rep who was helping me purchase an iMac criticized every move I made, even from where I stored my passwords! He told me how this is basically as expensive as a used car...yes, I budgeted for this computer, like thats his business anyway.I couldnt NOT recommend this place enough. Don’t do a lot of in store shopping for electronics. When I do though, this is the place. They are super friendly and it’s a great shopping environment. The manager Aaron is amazing and is always will to get this done correctly if there is an issue. Would give 5 stars but their cellphone accessory prices are like a 300% mark up. But other than that I love this place.

BEWARE PRICINGOn many items, Best Buy completely rips off the shopper. For example, a Sandisk 128gb USB3 flash drive, at the time of this experience last year, was $32 on Amazon. The exact same flash drive at Best Buy, exact same flash drive, was $119. While I do get that Best Buy needs to uncharge, I do believe that this is an extremely unfair price. Luckily, you can price match here, so I price matched the $119 flash drives down to $32 a piece. The woman behind the counter was in disbelief the difference was so high!

I have tried 15 times in 3 days to call the store and just talk to anyone at this point. I’ve been on hold for up to 30 min at one point and can’t get ahold of anyone. The customer service, availability and contact simplicity is simply AWFUL! You’d be better off looking to local shops to get electronics fixed.

The Best Buy associate was very helpful in our decision on a dishwasher that had the features we desired and was available in a reasonable amount of time. Another large box store was not honest on the delivery wait time and did not help us find another model which would have arrived sooner. They only seemed interested in the sale.
Went to look at movies on sale. Slim pickings. Employees were courteous. Layout of store send inefficient for customers: big open space in middle, and departments have to shrink down to accommodate this huge open space. Looking at merchandise requires one to bend over to see.

After adding an rtx 3070 to my cart and proceeding to check out I was prompted to enter a verification 8 consecutive times resulting in the item being out of stock despite Best Buy claiming the product is reserved when you enter checkout. This isn’t a one time thing. I’ve been trying to purchase one of these since November. Best Buy corporate has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. They don’t care about the consumer and just essentially just give these products away to bots & scalpers.USE A CAPTCHA.
My hats off to Lisa! Returning a headset, I went back again to the cameras. Really low inventory, but she was offering to order what wasnt in stock.Even when I kept looking at something I didnt need, camera or financial wise, she was still working to help me make it work.I decided to stick to my focus, and went back to the point and shot cameras. Im not used to little cameras, but I think Im going to like this one. Canon PowerShot SX70. Something for the purse, not the camera bag.I just really appreciate Lisas patience and knowledge helping me make the decision I needed to make.

Purchased the gaming computer for my granddaughter for 2020 Christmas. The sales representative was very helpful and knowledgeable. The only problem was the power cord was not included in the box so Christmas day we could not hook up the computer. That was really a disappointment. I guess this was not the stores fault but the person who packed the box. That is why I didnt give a poor rating.

To preface this, I have always loved shopping at Best Buy. Since the first time I entered one while living in California in the 90s. The Best Buy on Wards Road in Lynchburg has seen better days. Could it be due to restrictions and Covid, sure. I found a lot of the store to be low on inventory. I was going to purchase a Visio TV, but it was not in stock. While talking to the floors sales associate, he got a call on his earpiece and pretty much gaffed me and my wife off. The store had a lot of open box items on selves. Overall, the experience wasnt bad but it wasnt good either.
Stay away from the YOGA laptop!Bought one, took it home and the touchpad would not work. (Motherboard did not recognize it at all).Returned it for exchange.Next yoga would randomly power off after 3-4 minutes and took 2 minutes to boot.Returned again.. Went with dell.The end of issues.Btw.. Best buy was great about the exchanges. (Hence 4 stars. Cant offer 5 stars for offering garbage laptops).

I will never buy anything in this store again. Have had a credit card with them for 2 years an have never missed a payment an have paid it off twice. But they took it upon themselves to close my account without reason basically punishing a good customer.
The staff at Best Buy are always super friendly and helpful. I know hardly anything about electronics, but they are wonderful at explaining everything I need and have helped me countless times buy new technology and fix my old computer. The store has a wide selection and the prices are competitive. Inside is very clean and well organized. Everything is where you would expect it to be. Checkout lines are always super quick, even when it is busy. Ive never had a bad experience at Best Buy. Their return and warranty policies are reasonable and good. I honestly recommend this Best Buy and I go whenever I am in town and am needing to get a new gadget or video game.

Tried to get a radio installed. Mind you I paid 300 plus dollars. No one informed me that I had to knock on the back door in order to get checked in at 10 as the main store was closed. When I came back the workers that install radios were super rude. Telling me that it was my fault and that there was nothing they could do. They did not try to work with me at all.
Saw an item I needed online listed as in store here, looked for 30 mins and couldnt find it. No one was around to ask if I needed help, so I waited in line to see someone at the computer section; when I reached the front they said they were helping someone else and walked away. I left the store.
Nate was exceptional...the store, not so much. Weird hours, no one answers the phone, and the phone I was purchasing had already been activated by someone else which turned into a week long wait for my phone.
To All, I have always found this store to have a great staff. Just go in and tell them what you want or trying to do and they will place you in the right product... they might even sell you something cheaper than you were expecting to pay, and its better! Their GM is people focused, meaning the customer and his staff. Way to go team!!!

Wanted to purchase the new Samsung Watch and needed help activating it but not connecting it to my network and was told basically sorry but since we close at 7 they couldnt help.
We paid $149 for a total Tech package, yet when I took two pieces of equipment over to the store, for a couple of things that needed to be done all they said is that its not within their ability to work that type of issues on computers and that I would have to have someone come to my home and work on it, for nominal fee. Very unsatisfactory as far as Im concerned. Plus the day before I went online for tech support and the agent that I got couldnt understand what I wanted done or how to do it and told me I just have to take it to the store. And so this is what I paid $149 for. Money well spent?...nope I dont think so! This time Best Buy really disappointed me!
I shop Best Buy a lot, and Ive never met an employee that doesnt know exactly where the item is that Im looking for. USB-C male to USB-A female, bluetooth - 3.5mm aux adapter, lapel microphones, all the weird accessories I come in looking for. Awesome people at every Best Buy Ive been to.

If you are looking to ask a question or seek direction on a purchase do NOT even try to call this store. If you make it through the automated phone system there is nobody that cares to answer the phone. After numerous attempts and overly extended periods on hold and subsequently being just disconnected, I gave up. Save yourself time and just go elsewhere.

I purchased an iPad 8th Generation. I received a message that it was available to pickup at our local Lynchburg Store. All I want is an appointment to get someone to help me get it connected!!!! I have called 4 times, NEVER got to talk to a person!!!! 25 minute wait, then a 15 minute wait, then Geek Squad help desk said they are not associated with Best Buy!!!! Fourth try, no answer again. I just hung up!!!!

Employee named brandon was super helpful and genuinely seemed like he wanted to help me in my purchasing of a new TV. enough can’t be said about how helpful and polite he was. his manager however, taller blonde lady, looked to be in her mid-50s, was incredibly rude and it seemed like she just wanted to get me out of the store as soon as possible. if it were up to me brandon would be promoted and she would be fired.

For this store to open at noon on a Tuesday is incredible. Sunday, yes I can see opening at noon. I need some items that are imperative for my business- now! Not at 12 oclock in the afternoon. With the stress of covid-19 and it being the beginning of the Xmas season I find their ridiculous hours unacceptable. Im going to Walmart. Theyre open NOW.
A go to for electronics. Weve gotten phones and appliances and other devices from here. Overall, a good experience. I went in last weekend for a new phone but they didnt have it in the color I wanted. The guy said they could ship it to me and it would get there in two days. And so we did that and it got here in the exact time he said it would so they were punctual in mailing me my phone. I will say the sales people can sometimes seem overbearing but with Covid they are definitely keeping more distance.

It turned out that I couldnt save my old laptop and Eric helped me upgrade within my budget and set me up for quarantine. thanks bestbuy Eric was great.
Placed an order at 2:30am and I was there at the location to pick up as they opened. I realized they wouldn’t have it ready and I planned on having to wait some time to get the order but the young lady came right out and was extremely helpful. With only curbside pickup available and with everything going on in the world I really appreciate Best Buy making things a little easier.
