This store is about 100 years old. They have a staggering array of new, modern hardware and pieces-parts and OLD vintage items such as complete doors, iron works, windows, shutters, mantles and such for restoration work on historical homes. They build Adirondack chairs and gliders on-site and sell them. Super nice staff who know the hardware business. Their prices rival and sometimes beat the Big Box hardware stores. You can spend HOURS going through the place - they have two co-joined storefronts, the first floors are the hardware and furniture items then, one floor with nothing but doors, another with just windows, another with iron work and lamp posts etc, etc. And yes, they even have a huge Hardware Store Cat that lays up front near the counter and expects scratchies when you walk by.
Quick service with good prices. I can go here and get for 300 what I would get for 400 at Home Depot. Also the quality is just as good as anywhere else.
A place of many treasures old, new, and forgotten. An enjoyable venture everytime! They are very helpful if theres anything you dont have but you need. Its one of those youll have to visit yourself to understand the inventory this hardware store has.And NOTE: there is PARKING right across the street from its front entrance.
Love it. Its like an old-time hardware store
Bailey Spencer has been a great store for me for many years, Scott Pearl who I dealt with for 11 years as a locksmith and now his sons. Very knowledgable and they have most everything old and new. Thank you for your years of serving our area. Integrity is hard to come by these days and I for one am glad you have it.
Very helpful, knowledgeable staff. We special-ordered door hardware - they were very thorough in explaining what points we should consider and patient as we selected the style and various pieces we needed to achieve a specific look. They also ensured we had tools and references to assist with the installation. High quality products.Though we didnt make other purchases, they had a great selection of general hardware/tools, as well. They also have a wonderful selection of antique doors & stained glass, displayed in an easy-to-shop manner. Wish we were local, as this would probably become our go-to home improvement store!
Did not know the store was here very knowledgeable owner helped me pick out exactly what I needed
