Amazing service! Took my car in and got it back in 2 days. (Theyre busy for a REASON yall, plan to wait a day or two if you can) Ended up having the same problem less than a week later. I called around for estimates prior to choosing this company. Williams estimate was lower than most of the places I contacted. They provided quick and courteous service. They listened to my explanation of issues, verified the problem and got me back on the road without trying to upsell additional services.

Terrible! Had a knocking noise in the front end. Took them 3 times and $500 later for new strut rods that wasn’t even the problem. Ended up being a loose wheel weight went I took it to get my tires rotated. Don’t waste your money like I did!

Shop told me it would be done at noon after leaving it at 10:30 AM. They didn’t even look at it that day and left me without a truck a whole day and claim it won’t be ready till tomorrow. Stay away from mechanics that can’t properly quote time.UPDATE: they saw this review and refused to work on my truck. Went a whole day without a vehicle to be turned down.

My daughter took her 2016 Altima for service because her car was losing battery charge and making weird sounds. This establishment had replaced the alternator and battrery 1 year and 5 months ago (4/9/2020). They did a diagnostic and found that the alternator needed replacing, again. They gave an estimate of $575 for replacing the alternator. When asked if the alternator was warranted, my daughter was told that the alternator was only warranted for 6-12 months. We picked up the car and took it to another mechanic. They also did a diagnostic and found that the alternator was defective. The owner called me and told me the alternator had been bought at OReilly Auto Parts and that it was still under warranty. He went and obtained a replacement, installed it, and charged me $150 for the install. Williams Brake Tune and Tire will certainly not get our business again. My daughter was going to have to pay full price for another alternator on top of the labor charges. Dishonest business, dishonest business practices.

I trust these folks with my vehicles and my hard-earned money. Theyve always treated me well and even talked me out of a few repairs. Really all I need in a mechanic: skill & integrity at a reasonable price . . . but then, Ive only used them for 16 years so well see ;-)

Had Headlight Restoration done. My headlights were SO cloudy cand corroded and now they look brand new. So pleased I went to them. Very friendly establishment as well. Will definitely use them again.

They open at 730am and I was there since 7am so I could be first and they started to take other customers before me. They suck bad. I wouldnt recommend this bussiness!

We just popped in to get an inspection. These guys were super polite and quick. Keep in mind they really dont make anything off an inspection. Honestly I would give them a shot if I needed anything else.

I dropped my 2012 Jeep Wrangler off last week due to a tick that I heard when idling. They had my Jeep for a day and called me stating it was bearing in the back of my Jeep engine and that I would need a whole new engine coating 7200 dollars. I went and picked up my Jeep and was told that they figured it out cause they cut the power to the fuel injectors and the noise was still there so it must be in the engine but didn’t take off the oil pan to see exactly what it was and that I should probably just get rid of my car. I then took it to another location and they found out it was two of my rocker arms. They did dig into my camshaft and needed to replace those. They suggested while we had it tore down we should just go ahead and replace all the rocker arm, cam and the lifters. Still with all that work it was no where near 7200 or in need of a new engine. I feel that it was reckless for them to suggest a whole new engine without fully looking into the issue. I would not come back to this mechanic.

I’m grateful to Williams for their integrity and honesty. During an emergency trip to Lubbock for a funeral, my car was misfiring and leaking oil badly and I didn’t know if it would make the long trip home. Though I could have been easily taken advantage of in this situation, Williams narrowed the issue down to two possible causes, told me what to relay to my mechanic back home, topped off the oil only charging me for that, and brought great peace of mind during already troubling trip. Thank you!

Been going there every month for 9 months. Everytime they are kind and quick. I work at take 5 oil change and when people ask for services that we dont provide I always recommend this place. Ita the best ... Wish I could get a job sonewhere like this. It has so much potential.

I take all my cars there. Everything from my 30; year old truck to the new Escalade goes to them. They provide top notch Auto service. I have had them do everything from oil changes to modifications. If they cant do, they get me in immediately to someone they trust. I even pulled once with a brake on fire. They didnt even bat an eye. Total pros.

Excellent diagnosticians and have always been on-target with their repairs. I trust them based on frequently being pleasantly surprised that the expensive problem I thought I had turned out to be something relatively simple and inexpensive. I highly recommend them.

I first went to Midas to get my brakes checked and they said I’d need to replace the calipers, rotors and pads for $750. I got a second opinion here and they said my calipers were perfectly fine and replaced my rotors and pads for literally a fraction on the price. SUPER friendly people here too. 10/10 recommend.

Took my truck here about 2 months ago and had them do a front end alignment. Paid $70 for the crew to not even align my truck correctly and they tried to tell me that I had a bent tie rod but I had just replaced it before I went into the shop. Definitely wasn’t worth the money.

Took my car to firestone and they wanted to charge me double what i paid at williams brake and the people were much friendlier.

I have been a customer of Williams Brake and Tune for years and have always been satisfied with the quality and price of their work. My visit yesterday was for mirror replacement on my pickup. As usual, the quality of the work, the timeliness of the repairs and the price I had to pay were excellent and consistent with all of my prior experiences with Larry, Landon and the rest of the team.

Now I only reserve 5 stars for a service that is absolutely perfect. There may be a day I come back and raise it but for now its 4. Excellent people, theyre friendly, and they do a very professional job. The only thing keeping them from 5 stars is they dont explain quite as well as I would like what they repair, they sometimes get dirt or mud in my floorboard, and not that it matters, but the engine cover once had a VW emblem on it, and it was missing (but I didnt bother to worry about replacing it). Definitely know what they are doing, there are just a few tiny things they could improve to hit my top rating. Good work yall.

If you need work on your vechile or tires you need to consider Williams brake &tune they are friendly and professional you will not be disappointed.

The best shop I’ve been to in Lubbock!! Dropped my jeeps off at 8:30 and they had both shocks replaced by 12:30. The people that work there were super friendly as well!

Went in and told them that I though some stuff needed to be replaced on my truck... they said sure let us take a look at it and we will write you up an estimate for the work you are wanting done... looked at it and called me back a short time later and told me that nothing was in need of repair it all checked out good... mechanics get a bad name for taking advantage of people but this shop is very trustworthy and wont be trying to sell you stuff you dont need. The guy i dealt with (Jeff) was very knowledgeable and professional.

Strongly, highly, intensely recommend! Fixed my car for only $30 and corrected expensive mistakes made by Firestone for FREE!My husband and I bought a used car after I was hit and my old vehicle was totaled. There were some over-heating issues (a huge concern with Summer coming) that were occurring in this vehicle we bought. As well... there were some other minor issues such as, the ignition was loose and the battery to the radiator seemed ghetto rigged.(Mind you, the car totaled was an SUV that was only 2 years old being a 2009 and this used vehicle we bought was not too far off in age. But we bought the vehicle extremely cheap from a young military man in Clovis, NM who was being sent overseas.)We had first taken the car to Firestone and they put in a new ignition with a new key that ended up not matching our doors. Then Firestone installed a new radiator fan and said they didnt know what to do about the battery and wires between the battery and radiator. We ended up spending $932.00 at Firestone.When the over-heating problems persisted, we took it back to Firestone and they kept saying nothing was wrong.Finally...we were recommended to go to Williams Brake, Tune, and Tire off 19th and east I-27. At first we were apprehensive of the area, but upon entering the shop the employees were very courteous and straightforward. They took our car for the day and my husband and I shared our other vehicle to go to work.At the end of the day, Williams Brake, Tune, and Tire called us and we headed that way. They discovered that Firestone had put the Radiator Fan on backwards. Can you believe that?!? Firestone put the fan on backwards!!! As hilarious as it sounds, the mechanic explained that the fan was working fine now after he turned it around. He said that the car was continually over-heating before due to the backwards fan, even if it was spinning...it was just spinning in the wrong direction not cooling the engine.He also was able to correct the wiring craziness between the Radiator and Battery to make everything look the way it was meant to look. Then he had another one of his mechanics match the new ignition key to the doors so we only would need one key.In the end, they only charged us $30 for the re-keying of the doors and didnt charge for the work on the Radiator Fan or the re-wiring.We will definitely go back to them and strongly recommend them!Plus they have some really neat items inside their store and have these two vintage collector cars that are fascinating to look at.From a Professor/Teacher and her Physical Therapist Husband, we can assure you that Williams Brake, Tune, and Tire is well worth it...despite their location in Lubbock... You wont be let down:)

I had a friend who is also a student at Tech recommend them. I called a couple of days ahead and set up a time to bring my truck in for brake work. I had figured an expensive repair because it had been making noise for about a month, but to my surprise it was a very reasonable repair cost. The work was completed within a few hours and I am very satisfied with the results. I highly recommend them. Oh and if you are using Google Maps the shop is on the other side of the Kubota dealership from where the map icon says it is.

I Googled suspension Lubbock and these guys came up. I called them just to get some information and the man on the phone sounded cool. Took my car up there, drove around with the mechanic and we both came up with some ideas. The mechanic found a loose bolt and solved my problem. I had a good experience. I still have another problem with my car that I didnt have them fix bc I was low on funds although the price was very very reasonable. I will be having them fix my car. I hope these guys become my go to mechanics here in Lubbock Ill be here for a While. But as a start they have already been good to me.

We have been taking our Toyota and Honda vehicles to Williams for more than a decade now. Lets face it, cars are expensive but we cant really function without them in Lubbock, TX = land of the big roads. Williams keeps great records, always call with an estimate prior to proceeding and we recently learned they have competitive tire pricing without the sales pitch hassle and add-ons you get at the big tire stores.

Poor customer service. I called before lunch to ask about coming in for a diagnosis, was told no problem come in. Went in, was told we cant see you right now, come back after 3. So I did. When I got there, again I was turned away. Came to Daltons Automotive on 98th and Slide, they said we can check it out real quick, no problem.

Heard that they do free diagnostic checks! Took my wife car there so they check for a leak. No one advised of any fee for checking. Or told us there would be any cost involved. One hour later and $80Poorer they advised they ran due through it. Said it needed a new compressor and evaporator. Called Scotts automotive and that that was ridiculous!

I went to Williams BT&T several years ago for a pre-purchase inspection. I was so impressed with the quality of service, thoroughness of inspection, and over the top customer service that I have been back for seal replacements, breaks and other maintenance needs. about a year ago, I had an oil leak that I was absolutely sure was from seals that needed replacing. They agreed at first look that it was the seals and quoted a great price to replace them. After they got into it, they found out that it was something else, fixed it, and only charged me a fraction of what was quoted. While driving a company truck, I had to go to Just Breaks and ended up paying over twice what they had initially quoted (all of the additional fees were like reading a phone bill). Since then I have stuck with Williams for everything on my personal vehicles. Ive price checked just out of curiosity, and Williams is always more competitive than the major chain repair shops. Every time they have found anything wrong (in addition to what I came in for), they are not pushy about adding the scope to the bill and are honest about what is a valid concern and what isnt. Another great aspect is that they must have very little turnover because I still speak to the same people that were there 3 years ago and now know them by name. I trust these guys explicitly and highly recommend Williams BT&T to anyone reading this review. I am sure that you will leave there with your expectations met and exceeded!

I went here to get my brakes done and everything appeared to be in order if a little pricey but when the last snow storm hit I noticed that my steering wheel was vibrating when I braked. I finally took my car to another mechanic and he confirmed that Williams had left the clips off. The only other complaint that I have are their hours of operation. Its very difficult if not impossible to make it to their shop on the weekdays and they are not open on the weekends.

They come highly recommend.

I recently brought my car into Williams brake tune and tire. My check engine light came on and I had the error messages come up on my dash saying service stabilitrak and service traction control. I took it into williams brake tune and tire after 1,580 dollars they fixed it and everything was great. 3 days later let me repeat that 3 days later. Im driving to work and all 3 lights came back on. Check engine, service stabilitrak and service traction control. I take my car back up to williams brake tune and tire and they look at everything again and proceed to direct me to a transmission mechanic in town. So Im expecting they will do the right thing and refund my money or that williams brake tune and tire to cover the next mechanic bills but no they kick us out of the store saying it is not their fault. And what the fixed is working fine. ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? If your so called mechanic shop fixed my car why are the same lights coming on, and why am I having the same problems? I will never recommend this shop to anyone and I will bad mouth it wherever I go. This company is a bunch of scam artist. Who just stole 1,580 dollars from me. Dont ever take your car there.
