I find making quick decisions a difficult task, so her expertise and knowledge was very much appreciated. The quality of the workmanship is stellar and attention to detail is appreciated. After our final walkthrough, Kirby reiterated that I can call her if there is anything with which we need assistance. Barber Cabinets stands behind their product. We recently remodeled a 100 year old farmhouse which had many challenges, including uneven floors and ceilings. I worked with Kirby Barber from start to finish and she helped me not only plan the most beautiful farmhouse custom cabinets, but she also gave me some input on the layout of the kitchen itself. She has extraordinary attention to detail and made sure that I was satisfied throughout the entire process. She also helped me design my mudroom and master bath custom cabinetry. After installation Barber Cabinets made any necessary adjustments to make sure my cabinets were just perfect! I would highly recommend Barber Cabinets for any custom cabinet needs. Please do not hire Barber Cabinet Company. You will pay twice the price, and get half the service and quality. The first thing you should ask, which seems like an odd question to ask, is whether or not your plates are going to fit in your cabinets. After my cabinets were installed, I proceeded to put my plates in the cabinet, and the cabinets were about an inch too thin so the doors wouldnt close. Barbers explanation was that this happens when you choose inset cabinets. Wouldnt this be something you would tell the customer or better yet how about making the cabinets an inch deeper? I talked to two other companies since then and they automatically make the cabinets deeper when people choose inset cabinets so that this is not a problem. My next problem with Barber is that if you want to make a small change after the cabinets are installed, forget that, they will never accommodate you. I wanted to make a small change to a cabinet and add a TV, and they would only do it if they ripped out the cabinets and my newly installed tile and take it back to the store. They had no one who would do it onsite. I had to hire another company to do the job onsite, and they were absolutely awesome. I had them look at my cabinets, and they quoted me a price for half the price of Barber. Additionally, Barber was very late with the install which completely held up my contractor, and they never offered an apology or any kind of a discount but they promptly sent me my final bill and asked for immediate payment (which we paid) or else interest would be charged.

We just completed a major renovation of a 100 year old home in Louisville, Kentucky. It took a great deal of collaboration between the contractor, designers, Barber Cabinets and the appliance company, to deal with construction surprises that naturally occur in a 100 year old house. In addition, we completely re-configured the first-floor, knocking out walls - moving walls, and adding a master bath, laundry, powder room, and mud room areas. Our goal was to respect the original architecture, while updating the space to reflect an open floor plan, with good sight lines for the living space. Barber Cabinets, Kirby - was an interracial part of completing the vision. We incorporated a-lot of built in cabinetry, such as: coffee station, beverage/bar station, open kitchen with a large island, shelving, custom vanities - all designed to compliment the Tudor style - while remaining functional. Design and Function, can be hard to achieve - thats where Kirby and Barber Cabinets, delivered far-past our expectations. Kirby is thoughtful, experienced, open to collaboration, professional, consistent, and offers a product of the highest quality. Throughout the process, her team delivered. Products arrived on-time, offering superior followup with-immediate adjustments and corrections. The custom colors we used were spot-on matches with the color swatches, allowing the rooms to look integrated and complete. In short, Barber Cabinet Company was a pleasure to work with - and I can recommend Kirby and Barber Cabinets, with the utmost confidence.

Installed kitchen and bathroom cabinets throughout the house. Absolutely gorgeous! Customer service was fantastic. Upon completion we ordered a set of bedroom furniture which we love. The quality of everything is superb.Everything we purchased from Barber Cabinet Company is so much nicer than what we had. I honestly did not realize there could be such a difference. I would highly recommend this company to anyone wanting a quality product and excellent customer service.

Came in to get an estimate on some cabinets, the person at the front refused to assist me and told me I shouldve made an appointment. Which sucks because I kinda liked what they were showing. Oh well, guess Ill try my luck at M&H, or Vittitows Custom Cabinets. Hopefully one of them wont mind meeting with me.

If I could give Barber a negative star I would. This so called high end cabinet company is extremely sub par in their work. To spend 70K on cabinets and see cracks in the finish is unreal. You can also see where they puttied all of the nail holes (which looks awful and is very visible. They took 3 extra months just to get my dishwasher and garbage disposal front right. Many of the handles were on crooked. I can go on and on. On top of that, they are VERY rude about fixing anything you call about. On numerous occasions I call and asked them to come out and fix one of the MANY issues, which they would say they did and the issue would still be there. I have spoken to a few other home builders that have had the same experience. Do yourself a favor and LOOK ELSEWHERE!
