I had gotten a tree tattoo on my stomach 10 years ago from Kevin Powers, see image when I was pregnant. I ended up finding him after he bought his own shop and so thankful I did!!I had a vision to extend the tree up my back and down my leg. This tattoo means the world to me and keeps me going strong in sobriety. He did everything the exact way I wanted and then some...adding his Kevin aspects in. He truly made this into a masterpiece and I highly trust him to do anything and everything creating your vision.I also noticed during the 7 sessions I was there how PROFESSIONAL THE SHOP IS IN GENERAL! They dont mess around, they are super clean, get things done in a timely manner, respectful and - all in all wonderful staff. I got pierced by Jaycie who was super nice and really funny she made me feel comfortable the whole time. The whole place is cool from the second you walk in to seeing an open layout of the tattoo chairs is just awesome. The piercing wasnt that bad and neither was the jewelry in fact she was able to custom make the jewelry for my belly button piercing! It was so fast and she explained it so well about how to care for it and I just feel great about it! Would recommend if in Boulder area and looking for a piercing since its only a 15 min drive

Kevin is a great artist & Very good at his craft. He’s also friendly & kind while working on your tattoo. Good preparation & cleanliness is top notch.Denice is extremely knowledgeable about the jewelry they use, then walks you through every step before she does anything. I have extremely tiny ears so placement and jewelry is very important so it’s not overbearing in a small area. She made picking jewelry simple. She sent me home with everything I needed including after care since I’m out of state.I’m definitely coming back when I’m in the area! All of the staff was friendly, knowledgeable & fun. Two of my daughters ( 16,11) have had their earlobes pierced by Denice. She is awesome! The piercing process is super hygienic (gloves, face mask worn by all, everything wiped down), very professional and informative. Denice spoke directly to my daughters and made sure they were happy with each decision that was made.One of my daughters started having some problems with lobe swelling about a month into the healing process. I contacted Denice and she had us in the same day to help relieve the problem. I love that! A simple change of earring style and my daughters ears are looking great with no more swelling!Amazing compassion and customer service for their clients. Highly recommend this business.

Denice helped me get great results with my lip piercing and nostril piercing! I have had bad experiences (at other shops) with my other attempts at having a lip piercing, but she helped me get the result I wanted. She took her time with marking to make sure I would have a better outcome this time around. Denice is the piercer/one of the owners, and knows what the f she’s doing! I have a bleeding disorder and have been turned down from some places in the past, but we discussed what was going down before the actual piercing and she took me right in.She pierced my septum yesterday, and I’m not in pain. This was much less painful than my ears (which were NOT done by Denice), and I even got a sweet gold ring for a great price. We even briefly discussed the possibility of some repairs, where Denice was super honest about what she was comfortable with doing.The shop was super busy, but that’s an awesome sign for a tattoo/piercing spot. Denice’s honesty was another great sign. I will 150% be back (hopefully soon), for both another piercing and some artwork. Can’t wait!

The process was easy from beginning to end. They offer a follow up (nostril piercing) and answer questions thoroughly! Clean & friendly!

I scheduled a tattoo and sent them an exact image of what i wanted. When it came time to actually get the tattoo, the artist took his own creative liberties without asking me. The tattoo still ended up looking good so thats why Im not giving one star, but he really shouldve talked with me to make sure I wanted the added detail. Its on me forever, youd think thered be a little more communication.

I actually came here because I needed piercings replaced after an mri. I went to a different place in Longmont to have them removed when I couldnt do it, and I knew I needed a cleaner, more professional shop to put them back.Denise was so nice, cleaned my old bars and helped me pick new ones. We even chatted about doing lobes on minors and Im so excited to take my daughters here when theyre ready.

I got a ships wheel with a detailed sail boat and wave in the middle with a compass rose within the wheel tattoo done by Kevin. He made me comfortable (this was my first tattoo experience). The quality was so much more than I could have imagined and Kevin knew exactly how to approach the wording and colors in the way I wanted. Had such a good experience and Kevin clearly knows what he’s doing. Will definitely be going back.

After a mishap at tribal rites in Boulder I immediately called Inksmith, they scheduled me for a last minute appointment and saved me from a really uncomfortable piercing that definitely could have gotten bad quickly without help. I went here to get a piece done that I have wanted for a long time. Kevin is a master of his craft, a great artist and a true professional. The shop is super clean with a great vibe and amazing people. every employee that I met over my three sessions was outstandingly warm, real and friendly; it was like hanging out with family. As I sat in the chair I watched as the lead piercer, Denice saw client after client of ages young and well, not so young. I watched and listened as she welcomed people over to her station and guided customers through the intricacies of proper care and maintenance of their piercings. She made every one of her clients super comfortable but at the same time was stern and real with her instructions; like a mom teaching her kids how to do thing the right way. The whole staff at Inksmith deserves a round of applause and one hell of a thank you from this old Mop Jockey. I will only be recommending Inksmith Tattoo and piercing to everyone I know.

Ive also been pierced by Denice and Jaycie and they are smooth and have a great eye for placement. The shop is great equal parts cool and sanitary with fantastic art work. The wonderful humans that work at the shop are very nice and wickedly cool. Definitely will be coming here for a while. 10/10 would get repeatedly stabbed in my skin here again.

Okay this is going to be long so TLDR: another shop did me wrong with an industrial and Inksmith fixed it. All the staff was professional and kind. Jaycie was gentle, educated, and I had a great experience.I went to this shop after getting an industrial piercing elsewhere that pierced me with jewelry that was way too big. I was hoping to downsize and they were able to get me in quickly. When I made the appointment they were helpful and very nice from the get go and the good experience continued all the way through! As far as COVID everything was very clean and they took good precautions.Jaycie was able to answer my questions and was extremely gentle. I still have some swelling and soreness and I didnt feel her change the jewelry.. like at all. This was a welcome change as the original piercing was pretty painful with no numbing gel. They were able to get me a proper sized bar, confirmed the correct size (she caught that the original shop I went to told me the incorrect gauge too) and I was able to get jewelry I actually liked. It looks way better now and making those changes really made me love my piercing.I see that a couple people mentioned that jewelry is expensive. In my opinion this is indicative of quality jewelry and thats what I found here. It is titanium as and has internal threads (another fault of the original shop, they used externally threaded). The ends are very pretty and look almost like opals. While I agree that is pricey, it is partially the nature of the jewelry and I dont think thats something the shop should be faulted for.Finally, to end my novel I just want to reiterate how professional I felt everyone I interacted with was. As someone with anxiety, feeling comfortable is huge and I wasnt uncomfortable at any point. Jaycie was able to educate me and corrected something I said that was wrong in a way that wasnt rude at all. I plan to come back for one more downsize once healing progresses more and hope to get future piercings done here, thank you for a great experience!The picture with all silver jewelry was right after the original piercing with large jewelry (that looked even larger once the swelling went down) from the different shop. The other picture is the new jewelry from Inksmith that fits and looks much better.

I scheduled out my tattoo with an artist by the name of Daniel Argote and i was completely disappointed with the process of getting it done. Our original conversation entailed getting a couple sketches of the art work prior to getting me tattoo, Unfortunately things took a turn south because Daniel was very unprofessional about the promise he held with me. I had my tattoo arranged to be done a week in advance and he didnt get back to me with any sketches of the work i wanted done throughout the entire week. He basically thought he was going to get away with drawing me something last minute and call it good. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT. YOU WILL WASTE YOUR TIME AND DEPOSIT MONEY. THEY ARE LOOKING TO SCAM PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR MONEY DEPENDING ON WHETHER THEY LIKE YOU OR NOT BY THE TIME YOU LEAVE THERE SHOP FOR A CONSULTATION.

I’ve lived in the area for a long time and finally got around to popping in this place last week for a small tattoo and some piercings. Their Covid protocol was excellent, and the staff was very professional regarding Covid and otherwise. I saw a maybe questionable review about the prices Inksmith charges, but it’s a tattoo shop. If you want somewhere with a $30 tattoo minimum, this is not your place. Having said that, I don’t think any place should be charging less than Inksmith. I think the prices are VERY reasonable, and they do a great job. Staff is very warm and friendly, and honestly I just don’t have anything bad to say about my experience. Thanks, guys! A true treasure of the area.

We would not recommend this place if you are looking for a customer friendly environment. We did not feel well taken care of and when we addressed our frustrations we were met with hostile attitude from one of the owners. Instead of communicating and asking how they could potentially address our concerns we were told we were incompetent customers and they didn’t want our business. While reading other reviews many people enjoy their services so I have no doubt they can do a great job (one of the reasons we wanted to go there in the first place) but we did not enjoy our interactions or experience with this place.

Jarrod Ray, gave me my tattoo and I could not be more happy! I told him a few things I wanted in my tattoo and he completely handcrafted his own original piece that I love! He was great at conversation, but didnt talk too much (a PERFECT mix). The service is friendly, and I 10/10 recommend!

I had a really negative experience at Inksmith. I do not recommend anybody come here, rather, I implore you to find somewhere with work that’s just as good if not better, but with staff that’ll actually treat you like a human being? because you won’t get that here.I had been browsing around different tattoo parlors, and liked the work I saw on Inksmith’s google review photos. Against my better judgment, I made an appointment with them despite the many negative reviews I saw detailing how bad they treat people and their lack of punctuality. Not to mention how unprofessional it is for them to argue back with people leaving them constructive criticism.I made an appt for a consultation on Tuesday, Dec 1st at 3pm. fun fact my appointment was randomly changed to 3:30 which I did not want but did not complain about. So fast forward to the first, I show up at 3:30 with my ID in hand. The door is locked, so I tell the woman inside (through the door) that I’m here for the 3:30 appointment. She points at their telephone number, but my phone was dead, so I let her know and I repeat once again that I am here for the appointment at 03:30. I mean how many could you have right? so she... disappears? and I’m waiting, and waiting. mind you there’s nobody inside but the tattoo artist and who he’s finishing up with. there is nobody. else. inside. through the mail slot, I said “hey I’m very cold, think I could come inside, I’m here for my appointment,” etc. and he just looks at me and ignores me lol. Great start. When the woman comes back she goes right to her desk. At this point it’s like 3:35 and I was starting to get annoyed at how they’re just leaving me to stand outside, so again through the mail slot I said “since we’re cutting into my time should I reschedule?” finally she comes out, but then she is rude upon coming out, telling me THEY are the ones doing ME a favor about the piercing I called freaking out about, and I’m like ?? lady i have no idea what you’re talking about that is not me.. I’m here for a consult abt a sleeve.I said, calmly, that there are many Tattoo places around (to which she couldn’t help herself but cut me off to say that I should go there instead).. I’m like please don’t interrupt me.. there are many tattoo places around but I came here because I like the work I saw online, but I think it’s really distasteful and impersonal to keep someone standing outside in 30 degree weather, not even letting them know what’s going on, when they are planning on spending their money here. but she just kept arguing with me so I told her no problem I’ll go elsewhere. she couldn’t even leave it at that either, she had to let out a sarcastic snarky *bYe* as I’m walking away lol just overall a very childish interaction.really nasty experience overall, don’t recommend in the slightest. thinking about coming here? DON’T.

We had a great experience here piercing my daughters ears. My 8 yr. old has been wearing stick on earrings for weeks, yet was very nervous about actually getting them pierced. She is also shy, but Denise talked to her and asked her questions and made the whole thing less scary. Mari said it hurt less than she thought it would and is in love with the little star earrings she chose. I also liked how clear and comprehensive the after care instructions were.

Jaycie is one of the best piercers I have ever gone to. She was extremely gentle and amazing at what she does! I highly recommend this place.
