Recommended this shop from a friend 5 years ago, and this is the only place I’ve ever gone. Jon has done almost every one of my tattoo’s, and they’ve all come out perfect. He takes the time to consult me on what I want to get the perfect drawing, and they always come out top notch. Not to mention Scott, the owner, is incredibly friendly, easy to talk to and an all around great guy who runs a very professional shop. Front desk staff is always great and friendly, and always welcoming.10/10 recommend.

Jay Fish has been my good friend for many years, and this is probably the best run shop in Kentucky. They keep it clean and professional at all times. Plus theyre all really talented artist, cant go wrong at Acme.

Called up and stoped in today to get this new tattoo today and wasnt expecting to be able to sneak in without an appointment but the dope staff down there helped me out and hooked me up.I did unexpectedly passed out half way through due to my own fault and the person doing the piece was able to pick up on that i was knocking out and got me taken care of before we charged on and got it done.10/10 would recommend and plan on returning in the future

Adrian is my go-to artist and never fails to make me feel welcome and as comfortable as possible throughout the entire process. Plus, the establishment is clean and everything is done with proper sanitation. All of the tattoos hes done for me are gorgeous, timeless works of art. I cant recommend this place enough. :)

Good experience. Fit me in the same day and same hour that I showed up. Drew exactly what I described. Clean studio. Adheres well to COVID guidelines, and has one of the best COVID forms to fill out before getting your tattoo. Prices are about the same as other studios Ive been to. Cant pay with card though, cash only. Thinking about coming back to touch up an older tattoo I have! :-)

VERY lengthy and frustrating. Artist immediately didnt like the picture I brought in because it looked like a white graphic designer did it. Had to haggle over every detail to get him to do what I liked vs. the style he thought was best. He would disappear and come out over an hour later with another sketch that wasnt what we agreed on. Was there literally over 5 hours for a tattoo that took him an hour of work. It felt more like buying a car than getting a tattoo. This was a simple lotus with black lines. Nothing intricate or detailed, so I dont know why the sketches took so long. On one of the rejected drawings he drew half of it and just copied and mirrored it on a copy machine. He brought that out after telling me he was going to do my drawing exactly. It was a naturally assymetrical drawing of a flower and we never agreed on the mirror image. Unsure why he tried to slide that past me, but that was why he had to sketch it up a 3rd time. It was the shop owner doing the work. End result is fine since I finally got him to do the design I wanted. And the quality is good. But it was just not a good time. Theyve been around forever and have good reviews, so I wanted to check them out. Maybe it was just an off day. But it was so drawn out and like pulling teeth to get the tattoo I wanted, wouldnt risk that experience again.

Check out slim Brown at Acme he will always do you right. Very talented cat. But then again all the guys at Acme are top-notch you cant go wrong here. When your trust in your skin with someone you want to make sure its the best and Acme is the best in Louisville.

If ever there was a shop that makes you feel like family, its this one. I was referred by a family member, and I was not disappointed. Scott did my tattoo, and he made me feel super comfortable. Made sure that I was okay throughout the whole session. Ill definitely be back soon!

Can’t say enough good things about this place! Jon was extremely helpful with helping me decide what direction to go with my cover-up, and absolutely KILLED (in a good way) the final product. I’ll never go to another artist or studio. Gator was super hospitable and accommodating, and Scott and Adrian are great guys as well, and they all made me feel right at home. If you’re looking for the best group of guys to hook you up with an awesome piece of forever-art, look no further than Acme! 5 stars all day, err day!!

Ive been here 6 times and gotten 6 tattoos. The staff are all friendly and the artists do really good work. The hallways are almost too narrow for a wheelchair, but its still doable. The rooms are plenty big enough. There is a step at the entrance, but I believe Acme has their own portable ramps now

I have been waiting for my tattoo to heal to leave a review. I was a walk - in, got a tattoo done by Jesse. It took about an hour. I am completely satisfied with the tattoo, he did a great job. However I got my tattoo over a month ago, and it is still healing. Jesse tattoos Very Deep. This was not my first tattoo and I followed all directions given to me for my tattoo to heal correctly. Went to three other shops as a walk-in to no avail. Finally, asked around and got multiple suggestions to head here. Josh at reception was flexible and personable; Jon, the tattooist was friendly and talented! Shop was clean (and smelled of incense), aesthetic was interesting and very indicative of the artists’ talents. Will only ever get tatted up here. Also, I was in and out in like 40 minutes (mind you, my tattoo was mega minimal). Would highly recommend.

First, the “artist” was 20 mins late, then he said he couldn’t do what I asked him for, and then when I apparently had the audacity to ask for something military and police related he wanted to refer me to someone else. Completely unprofessional. Hope he never needs the police.

I went here a long time ago and slim brow did my tattoo. This time when I went the guy there didnt seem very interested in doing my husband and I tattoo. We were rushed, and bother one of us felt he wanted to get into our tatts so we left. Sorry, Thanks but no thanks

The best tattoo shop in Louisville. I remember browsing around various shops with an idea I had for a tattoo. When I went into ACME I knew this was the shop Id always go to. I would honestly let every artist at the shop do work on me without a second thought. Amazing talent and professionalism all around. The owner Scott Bryant is a badass ink wizard.

I got tattooed today by Steve, and it was a great experience!! I can’t speak for the whole shop because it was done at an event at another shop, but Steve himself was very easy to work with, he took his time even though there were several people there on the waiting list, which meant a lot, and he produced a beautiful piece. I’m extremely happy with it, and I’m sure he’ll be seeing me again for more work.

Jon did an amazing job on my tattoo. He helped me figure out what I wanted. He took his time with my tattoo and was very careful about the colors. I will go back again to this shop. Everyone was so nice

Jay Fish is such a caring gentleman! I love him, and when he did my fire sleeve on my right arm, he would ask me if I was all right. Hes very sweet and does great work. Its been nearly ten years and people are still asking me if I just got that tattoo. Amazing. I am definitely going back for more work and I plan to tell others about Acme Ink. You deserve more business. You are also Kentucky cleanest tattoo parlor.

One of THE BEST tattoo studios in Louisville. Ive been to other places (Body Art Emporium ((r.i.p.)), Imperial Tattoo, Liberty Tattoo, Ink & Dagger. A Dose of Ink) and Acme is the only place Ill let touch my body! Their artists are exceptional, with clean line work. The shop is professional and clean and you never feel unwelcome or awkward. Im not nervous when I get tattooed, more like going to the doctor and youve been every month for your whole life. You just know youre going to go in, theyll do amazing work, and youll be on your way. This shop is only for serious ink addicts! They specialize in CUSTOM work... if you want some cookie cutter design, go somewhere where they employ professional tracers. Ive never had a tattoo heal poorly, blow out, be uneven, disproportionate, none of that. The color work is the BEST. Love, love, love, love this shop.

I got recommend to this tattoo shop today the young lady was really helpful at the front desk and showed me books of drawings. She was really nice to me, I heard good things about Jessie but when someone tells me you should show me or be about it that wasn’t Professional at all I been getting tatted for 6 years and for the size I wanted for my leg was tooooo much for something medium size it wouldn’t take you 3 hours for that Piece 300$ reallyyy let’s be real. Nice try but can’t get fouled

Jon Haas is amazing!! He has tattooed my husband and myself 6 times, 3 tattoos each, and we will not go anywhere else! They are clean, and comforting, Jon will always talk you through an artistic decision, and he will be the first to suggest something you hadnt thought of for you tattoo. They are all great artists, we are just fond of Jon. With that being said, Scott is incredible also, great with coming up with spur-of-the-moment add-ons or ideas to make your tattoo really pop!!

I got my first tattoo at Acme and I absolutely loved my experience. I went into the shop and was able to get an appointment in just a few days. Scott did awesome work. He looked at my design and modified it so that it would age but stayed true to my design. The shop was clean and the staff was friendly. My tattoo healed in a matter of days.

Got a tattoo by Jesse. Seemed irritated that I he had to move the stencil to the correct place after explaining where I wanted it. Other than that it was quick and priced well. Would go back to that shop, Id just choose a different artist.

Ive always wanted a tattoo but never found anything I wanted forever. For my 50th birthday I decided to finally get one and had it all set in my mind. John Haas was my artist and he worked forever trying to get my idea to mesh with together. We re-worked the idea a few times before finally deciding on something. Poor guy spent an hour and a half with me just going over ideas. Getting it actually done was a breeze and turned out beautifully. We will definitely be going back to see John for my Firey tattoo as well as tattoos my adult daughters have been wanting to add to theirs. Thank you again John for everything and especially for giving me something beautiful that I can be proud of. :)

They call him Little Stevie (Stephen Gatrost) and hes awesome! Theres not a more caring, detail oriented artist in Louisville. I got my first and only tattoo from Steve 15 years ago. I went back and asked him if he could do a custom piece. I wanted him to work his earlier work into this shoulder piece. I wanted it to include several special moments along with some tragic events that would be subtle and not too overwhelming. He captured them with perfection. Its a very intricate detailed piece that is a true work of art. Hes an artist that does tatoos.The other folks in the shop were very nice and had some very nice books as well. Contrary to a couple of earlier post, this is a very professional and nice business.

Slim started my leg tattoo and spent over 2 hours helping me figure out/ drawing what I wanted. Going back next month to get shading!

Tried going here for a consult on a back piece but the service was terrible and rude. first you had to get past the smokers outside by the front door and then be greeted (10 mins later) by the same smokers reeking of cigarettes.
