I am very disappointed in the actions of the business owners. They are relocating, and I was the previous tenant of the building they are renting. With the landlord’s permission, I installed a “Little Free Pantry” out front. It was incredibly successful and never caused a single problem in the over a year it was there. It was used by people who were food insecure regularly and stocked by myself, my customers, and the people of the neighborhood.David decided he didn’t like it being there and wanted it removed. I found out about this from a friend who stocks it, so I contacted him on December 10th. He promised me that he would not tear it down, that he would allow me to find somewhere to relocate it to, and that it was not so urgent that it needed to be addressed before the holidays. I gave him my contact information and asked him to call me if it for some reason became urgent and needed to be removed right away - I told him I would come and get it even if it didn’t have a new home yet.David lied. On December 20, he had his daughter contact someone that she thought might want the pantry. They lied to this third party - they told them that the landlord was going to tear the pantry down if it wasn’t removed by the end of the year. Having been in contact with the landlord myself, I know that’s not true. The group came and removed the pantry on Christmas week, which was a huge hit to the people who were relying on the pantry. No one ever reached back out to me to ask me to come get be pantry sooner or to let me know that this was in the works.They took away something that was there to support the community, for no reason at all, and went about it in a completely dishonest manner. I wanted to write this so that people shopping here can assess for themselves if these are the type of people they want their money to support.

Didnt really take time to look at my items. And didnt offer a fair price as far as Im concerned. Not even close to by a quarter of the appraisal value.

David friedlander antiques is a really great shop full of unique and interesting things. The guy behind the counter was so much fun to talk to and he was happy to answer any of my questions. I cant wait to go back and see what new items they have next time!
