I moved into Mellwood Antiques and Interiors as a showcase vendor halfway into 2020, after my previous antique mall deal bit the dust due to closure. Overall business was terrible. I wondered if continuing at a new place was even worth it. When I stepped into the Mellwood mall to check it out I was amazed! It is extremely clean, organized, well lit, well laid out, well staffed and HUGE. I had I no doubt that my things would be seen. The items are diverse in both style, purpose and price points. I’m particularly impressed with the amount of mid century furnishings and decor. I enthusiastically recommend a visit for locals and visitors alike.

Review №42

Very large antique mall that should be a must on any antique-lovers checklist. Certainly, if you live in Louisville, you should visit occasionally. If you are visiting Louisville and looking for a select few antique malls to visit, I feel this one should certainly make the cut. This place likely has one of the largest collections of antique furniture. In an age when many antique malls have found homes in vacant department stores from the 70s or 80s, this place has snagged a location in an old meat packing facility. Its large. Its old. And its really neat-o! Its a fun building to walk around in even if there werent thousands and thousands of antiques. Also, this mall in just a piece of the larger Mellwood Arts & Entertainment Center featuring a random assortment of shops, boutiques, and a few places to eat.Again, its a good mall. And if you like these sort of places, then you know theres no such thing as too much.

I was in Louisville house hunting and since I usually furnish my homes from Antique and consignment stores I had to check this place out. As stated by others, it is huge, you go in one direction and then you see another wing, another floor, another room. It just went on and on and on. I live in the Richmond / Central Virginia area, known for some great antique malls and this could hold its own against any of them. Chandeliers, rugs, furniture, lamps and all sorts if knic knacs and collectibles, most of what I saw seemed equal in price to what I see in Virginia, which is on the high side with some bargains thrown in. If I move to Kentucky I would return here to check it out further. Amazing place, you could spend hours in.

Let me start by saying that we look at antique malls a lot but rarely purchase anything. With that being said this is a very nice antique mall. Prices range widely as you would expect but it seems to not only be one of the largest, if not the largest, antique mall in Louisville but also has some very good prices. I claims to be the largest antique mall in Louisville and I can believe it, this place is huge but well laid out. It has quickly become our favorite antique mall in town.

Very large antique mall, if you are driving through Louisville its right off the Interstate 71 or 64. Easy to stop there look around for an hour and get back on the road. Wide variety of stuff. Looked a a booth with high end English furniture and across the aisle, there were great industrial lamps, next to that was a booth with designer mid century modern. Well worth the stop in Louisville.

Items are way overpriced. I was looking for a meter and pestle and when I finally found them, they were 30 bucks up to 60 bucks. I can get a very nice one for 6 bucks a little further north. And while they have adequate parking,it is across a bist road with no marked ped crossing. They offer a shuttle service, but that was sitting nearby with out coming by to see if anyone needed their service.

Huge, antique store filled with nearly everything you can imagine (whether you like it or not). Tons of knick nacks, furniture (lots of mid century modern), books, ephemera, art, silver, etc. The bag policy can be a bit annoying if you have kids, but I understand completely why its there. The stock changes much more than I would imagine for such a large place, but the amount of booths allows variety too.
