So, Ive never been one to leave a bad review, but I had a bad experience with Yesternook. After purchasing several items from the friendly staff for an investment property, I agreed to return to pick up one large item in a few days (we couldnt transport it at the time). I returned a few weeks later for pick up only to find that they had put the item out on the street since I hadnt returned promptly. In addition, they were unwilling to issue a refund. In Yesternooks defense, I was delayed in returning. That said, the staff was rude and disrespectful. I can only assume that they got a better offer for the piece in question and sold it out from under me. Very disappointing.

For a relatively small place, Yesternook has a wealth of interesting items to peruse. I just purchased a very nice desk for my home study space and Im very pleased with it and the price I paid for it. The people running the store are friendly and flexible in their dealings, but they know what they have, so youll pay for what you get but you wont over-pay. I would absolutely shop here again.

I take pics of mirrors what can I say. I grabbed this one for a new home we are closing on this week. The store has kindly held on to it for a week so we can get in. Owners are always nice and welcoming. Always fun

Its not as huge as it was in the old building, and I miss all the vintage mid century modern furniture. I was hoping to score a deal, but didnt see anything I needed. They still have some cool stuff, just a lot less.

I consider this place a hybrid store: part antiques, part junk store, part yard sale, and part flea market. If you like any of these, then you already understand that there are never too many places to go treasure hunting. This is a decent one, but it is on the small side. If in the neighborhood, it should definitely be a routine stop. If visiting from out of town, time spent at larger places may be a better value depending on the amount of time you have.

Small but you can find some unique things here. Love just wondering around and enjoying the different rooms and the items in them. Some bring back memories of different generations.

I used to truly love this as our favorite place for antiques/retro shopping. It was a large place with over 40 vendors with a lot of different price points. Since its move last winter, it is not even close to the same. While its owned by the same great people, the size of the place is tiny. And the selection is s shadow of the old place. We went thinking we would spend most of the afternoon roaming around there... we spent 10 minutes.

Before moving from Goss Avenue to their smaller building on Logan this was my favorite antique/vintage store with huge variety of merchandise that turned over frequently. Now, there is not enough space for much inventory or comfortable viewing. Their hours keep getting shortened, and today, a Friday afternoon, is the fourth consecutive time i have stopped here and they were closed. I just now called their business number and the recording said they now only have Saturday hours.

Cramped. Hard to walk through and look at items. Hugely disappointing. If you went to Yesternook before they moved from Goss Ave, dont expect anywhere near the same type of store.

I went here with high hopes. We have recently relocated to Louisville from the west coast. With not much in our possession, besides clothes and essentials, we were looking to replace a majority of our larger items with antiques and reused pieces. After searching Yesternooks inventory, I found the perfect dresser without the hassle of craigslist meetups. To secure the item, I paid cash in full and pulled my vehicle around to be loaded with the help of their employees. I was told that they would need more bodies to be able to load the piece into our car, a wood dresser weighing less than 50 lbs. I left our purchase in their show room.Less than two hours later, I returned with my husbands help to load the dresser. We measured and realized that the back of our Honda was only 1 inch short of fitting the item. I politely inferred our situation to the new front desk attendants, suggesting another piece that was one dollar less, but would just clear our load limit. The snotty girl who was running the desk kept repeating no returns, no exchanges, pointing at the janky sign taped to the front of their register.I understand that policies are in place to protect the interests of institutions. They are something that can be referenced to, and enforced during, an obvious test of a companys viability. However, this was not a rational way to support those policies. What would have happened if, at first, the employees were able to lift the 50 lbs dresser and we found out that it could not fit? Would they have dropped it in the parking lot and said not my problem? The front desk attendants could not even provide us with a SINGLE moving company or alternative to help relocate the dresser. It was not an unreasonable request to ask to take a different dresser valued at the same price or to receive a refund after I had initially been turned away to seek help. After a lot of hemming and hawing, there was an employee with a truck that was willing to take the time to help us move the piece. We paid him, and are thankful for his kind initiative, but it was nothing that was required by this establishment. We have an entire home that needs to be furnished, and Yesternook will never see a dollar our patronage again.

Ive lived here for four years and never had a problem with anyone until the new owners of The Yesternook took over. Ive been cussed out at 2 a.m. for parking in a lot that Ive always parked in. I tried to back my car out of the garage today and they have built flower beds behind my garage which is making it difficult to get out. I went over and TRIED to talk to the owner who then told me that I needed to learn to drive. She also called me a girl!? Is this anyway to run a business in Germantown where we are such a close knit community? The new owner of the Yesternook is taking the family feel out of this neighborhood rather quickly! People who are nasty like this dont need to be in business. If you are going to own company you should probably try to act professional right? tak your business elsewhere where people actually appreciate it.
