Always love the attentiveness of the staff and the plant selection. They have different types of plants that you may find at other home improvement stores. And the items that are the same are of better quality.

Great staff! The guy at the key cutting station took a lot of care to duplicate a set of particularly tricky vintage VW keys for me. Other staff checked in with me while I waited and deftly dealt with an anti-masker in the aisle nearby. Thanks for helping keep everyone safe.

Came in a for a few things and I was lucky I ran into Tristan (sorry if I got your name wrong). Greeted me and then asked what I needed. This guy is super smart. I asked for a specific screw, he not only took me to the screws, he knew exactly which bin the very specific screw was in and its corresponding washer. He also helped me with the rest of what I needed. Thank you for the awesome service. Check out was very quick as well.

Love this Ace Hardware in Los Gatos and glad it is so close to our home. I never get my questions answered at Home Depot even if I ask several employees questions about a specific product. Every employee at this Ace Hardware goes above and beyond to answer my questions or they find someone who can assist me. I’m there at least once a week. I’ve bought paint many times and I’m always there for garden flowers, soil, mulch and flower pots. They were very helpful in helping me find different types of fertilizers for different flowers; now, all my flowers are healthy and in bloom. Sometimes, I find unique flowers here that I couldn’t find at nurseries. I bought my Christmas Tree lights here and found some really nice Christmas ornaments. They have great service with a smile. They even have the best cleaning products as far as brands I have not seen at grocery stores. All staff members and owner are very polite and professional.

The staff was very helpful. I couldnt locate a very specific product that I wanted and the roaming staff member looked it up. He told me that it was out of stock but they would have a delivery in about a week. So now I know that they do carry it and I know when to check back in.

2 stars...one for the polite young man greeting customers as they came in and out. The other for the woman who told me what aisle I could find nails in. I could not find what I needed, so I walked around until I found an employee in a different department who was already helping someone else. He called for assistance. No one came. I waited 15 minutes after the assistance call, and left without buying anything.Sad thing is, I thought by shopping and supporting this neighborhood hardwood store, that I would receive good customer service and get out quickly. Instead, I will now go to the big box Home Depot.

I just popped in to grab a shovel, and while I was there I had at least three employees pass by and ask if I was finding everything ok. Super friendly and helpful, and (unlike some other big name stores I could mention) well-staffed.

Although this place is much smaller than the nearby Home Depot down in Campbell, I always find what I need and the staff are absolutely lovely. This is always my preferred place to go to

This is an easy review, the customer service is outstanding. If you look lost an ace employee is right there asking how they can help. If an item is out of stock they take your phone number and call when it is in.

Really nice knowable people.They mostly know parts and hardware. Not all about the sale, but customer service too. Will measure your part so you get right size. Also they know where most things are in store and what they carry. Not afraid to refer you elsewhere if they cant or dont carry it. I gave them a 4 star because they are nice, good service, friendly, has most of what I want but dont have all I need in a hardware store. I am happy to go back unless I need something more exotic or necessary that a big box store or specialty store will provide. Sometimes they do have great deals and products, like they had the best pointsettias in 2020!!! Conveniently located and open.

I would give these guys 10 stars if I could. I went in looking for nuts and bolts etc etc for a weird project I was working on. The guy was incredibly patient and helpful and it was excellent customer service!

During the darkest moments of the Covid 19 Pandemic, Los Gatos Ace Hardware was there for us. I am so thankful to have a neighborhood hardware store to rely on. It has a family run feel. It is kept well stocked, is organized and makes my shopping experience efficient and effective. Shop local first, go big box if you must.

Not the place with the helpful hardware folks.I went here recently to pick up a couple things I needed. The first time the employee I asked for help confidently handed me the wrong tools. When I went back to return them and buy the correct ones, I asked someone else for advice. They ended up getting me what I needed, but were not subtle about the fact that they resented being pulled into customer service work (a manager perhaps). Today on an unrelated task I went to Home Depot instead and had a much more pleasant experience.Selection is decent, but I wouldnt go here again unless I already knew exactly what I needed.

Super helpful. Wizards on duplicating keys and remotes for cars that are complex and otherwise expensive at dealers. Zack is awesome.

With COVID and SIP I recommend Home Depot instead. Ace is being way overly cautious and only letting a couple people in the whole store at a time! There is a long wait just to get in! I was at Home Depot yesterday on a Sunday and didn’t have to wait. Today on a Monday I am waiting out in the heat due to only allowing a very minimum amount in the store. Usually I like this place better as you can get in and out quicker and it’s not such a big warehouse and much easier to park however with these overly strict guidelines I think I will not be coming back

First time shopping at Los Gatos Ace Hardware for myself and my wife. It was a very pleasant experience as we were shopping for a storm door, which we ordered online at the store with thier help. We also found some other items that we had been looking for but found here only. Our check out cashier, named Tina, was very nice and friendly. We will be shopping here again and recommending this place to family and friends. 😀

Easy to park. Lots of helpful staff - much easier to get help than in the giant hardware stores. Dog friendly place. My kids enjoy looking at all the things here - flashlights, magnets, tools, garden ornaments etc

Came all the way out here with my baby for a cooler for our upcoming road trip only to find out the sale on it had ended yesterday. Manager was not rude but didn’t want to honor the discount. He said they don’t do that. No problem, I took my business elsewhere.

Very helpful staffers. Called ahead of the time and Triston put the bike tire and tube on reserve for me and Tina found the last missing piece in store. I was in and out in 5 minutes. There is also staffer at the door to regulate the traffic.

They are so friendly and knowledgeable!! They dont have everything the big box stores have but they have a neighborhood feel, which is nice. They also have cutest home decor type stuff and a large area for grilling/ accessories. Prices arent high, either. Love this store.

I got helped by a gentleman named Tristan and he made it a great experience. He even asked for assistance if you didnt know something and I appreciate it. Everyone is always very nice that works there the managers are always pleasant as well and are very knowledgeable in every area of the store its never a long wait at the registers

This was the Ace Hardware that I went to where I ordered a quart of white satin paint and they gave me high gloss paint it would not refund my money or give me the proper product. I have gone there for 30 years but I will never go back. Manager I talked to you was very rude, I wish I would have gotten her name.

Tried to return something and buy same in different color with same price. Ace wanted to charge me $5.32 more for an even swap. There was a coupon used in original purchase but manager couldn’t verbalize why I had to pay more. I assume the coupon is void when a return is made but I’m not sure because he couldn’t/wouldn’t state that. One thing I am sure of is I’ll not be shopping at this store again,

This hardware store is my go to place for Home fix it yourself essentials as well as some gardening supplies. As you enter the store, you will be greeted and asked if you need help finding what you’re here to get. Very often they will have what you’re looking for. It should not be confused with the Home Depot. It is the neighborhood hardware store and as such carries higher end holiday, displays etc.

Go here all the time for my household hardware needs and even have found correct hardware for my bicycles here at better prices than bike shops. In one case, found out the bike shops all had 24 tpi bolts and all the bosses the custom frame I had were threaded 32 tpi. Ace had exactly what I needed. Great place, near by, dedicated staff. Big thumbs up.

I rarely give a place a five star rating but this particular ACE Hardware is at the top of their game. Plenty of staff that will always ask you if you need help. Never once have I spent time walking the isles looking for help. Despite the relative small size compared to a Home Depot or Lowes, I find they have a better selection and better quality stuff especially when it comes to nuts, bolts, and hardware.

Everyone here is friendly and you dont end up walking long aisles looking for someone who can point you to where you can find what you are looking for.

This ACE hardware have the biggest selection of vegetables and flowers ❤❤❤❤❤
