Tech Daniel deserves 5 stars, but this places business model is regrettable. The place is by appointment only, but their website is not user friendly, and when you try and make an appointment it sends you to an apple site. The phone is never answered and their mailbox is full, so it is pretty challenging to make appointments to start with, or ask about ... anything, really. Once your computer is in, there is no way to enquire about it, even after the repair due date. My computer was there for 10 days, and then at 1:05pm i get a message that it is ready, but they are leaving at 2, so either you drop everything you are doing and go get it or you are without it one more day. Again, once you get a hold of him, Daniel is great, capable and personable. Sadly, the way the business is organize does not set him up to produce the happy customers he would otherwise have, as he is alone in the shop, has to meet with appointment clients, and do the repairs, so he has no time to check mail or do phone calls, unless your computer is ready, which could be 15 minutes before he leaves. Good luck getting there.
I spilled water on my laptop and was freaking out but the guys at LF Hitech were able to quickly help me and fix my ailing Mac, had it back up and running within 24 hours. Superb job much appreciated I highly recommend them to those that have some Mac probs. Great Job!
I had an appointment scheduled for days in advance, showed up at the appointment time and their gate was locked. No one emailed or called to cancel, and no one answered the phone when I called multiple times and their mailbox is full so you can’t even leave a message. Don’t waste your time.
I took my computer in to get the operating system fixed. I knew that there might be a chance of losing everything On my computer. I’m a very understanding person and I always give people the benefit of the doubt. I work in customer service and have never written a bad review before but this experience was so bad that I have to. When they took my computer and they told me that they would get back to me in a week.I didn’t hear back from them for about a month, every time I called no one answered and it was really hard to get in touch. Finally they said they could fix it but I would have to lose everything. I agree and I let them fix it. They told me it would be fixed that week and they would give me a call. Another two weeks goes by, I finally get in touch with them after I consistently call. They told me that they didn’t actually have the part, so I wait another week until they find the part and then actually fix my computer. After two months of waiting and $500 spent I finally get my computer back. When I got home to use my computer I realize that my computer didn’t work unless it was plugged in with the charger. This was never an issue before. I have tried to get in touch for three weeks now and nobody will call me back. This is extremely unprofessional and it feels like money wasted at this point I would’ve just gotten a new computer, advice that I had asked for when I first went in. I do not recommend Los Feliz tech. I understand that we are in the middle of a pandemic and they can only do so much. I was very patient but now getting my computer back and having a new problem after waiting months and having to get it wiped seems like a complete wast of time and Money!
Always had very positive experiences here. Last time I had a problem assessed, I decided to go with Apple but I regretted my choice. It turned out that Los Feliz HiTech was correct about my problem, while Apple had said it was much more minor than it really was. In the end I would have had a quicker turnaround and a less expensive tally if I had chosen LF HiTech like I usually do.
Very trust worthy place. I dont think they swap old parts into your product.
Skilled on what they do. Would highly recommend to a friend. Replaced Battery and keyboard of my mac pro. 2 days turn around!
I have pretty thick skin when it comes to bad service but this place is bad. They charge $150 just for a diagnostic test. There is an extremely rude, condescending older man that works there and another tech dude bro that reminds me of Armie Hammer from Sorry to Bother You. Not recommended...
Overpriced and not very helpful
Not only did they mess up the laptop enough that Apple agreed to fix it for free, but they never issued a refund. They agreed to issue it, but nothing ever happened. Three calls and a few more trips to the store and still nothing. Had to eventually issue a charge back.Save your money and time; find a better store
A bit overcharging for their services but service quality is good.
Apple gave me a free Logic Board due to a CPU recall. I chose Los Feliz Hi-Tech to do the work. Replacing the logic board didnt fix the problem of the line on my screen and they ended up replacing the screen, too -- all under the Apple agreement. Im one happy customer! Thanks, guys! --T.Collins
Made an appointment through Apple to get my MacBook screen replaced. They were the closest certified techs to me. Walked in and service was quick and easy, staff was polite and friendly. Handed over my laptop on a Tuesday - they told me it would probably be ready Thursday, but Friday for sure. They called Wednesday morning to tell me it was ready. Very happy with the service, will go back if I need something in the future.
Always helpful and kind. Hardly a wait and i thank them for their honesties and patience every time I have gone in with a computer issue.
So psyched to find them so close to where I live. Theyve done two upgrades on my macbook pro (hard drive and wireless card) both times they did the work super fast and for a reasonable price too. Friendly people too. I highly recommend them.
Thank you!! Stone-faced pros who get the job done. Fixed my mac in great time. No problems.
Apple Support failed to solve my mouse/iPad issues. Los Feliz Hitech sorted it out with minimum hassle.
Overpriced, not particularly helpful or friendly, bordering on arrogant and rude, poor service. Not a good experience. Discovered the job they charged almost $500 for wouldve cost $120 at Best Buy!!
Very affordable pricing. Techs know their business.
Great quick service authorized by Apple! Did drop-in and got service straight away.
The guy was completely unhelpful, I had taken my computer to another place to get it checked out and knew exactly what was wrong with it but he kept asking my what I thought was wrong like I didn’t already know. He was Very patronizing and I ended up leaving within five minutes of showing up for me appointment.
I went in so they could check out my laptop. They said they wouldnt even look at it without charging $180.Save your money and go elsewhere.
These guys held my computer for 5 days without doing any work. When I went to pick it up to take it to the Apple store [which I should have done orrigionally] they tried to charge me. They told me that even though they had not been able to look at it, any computer that gets checked in is required to pay a diognostic fee. They are either incompetent or straight up scammers. But either way, my computer was not fixed or looked at ... total waste of time.
They underpromised and overdelivered when my 2012 MacBook Pro trackpad went bad. Had it fixed at least a couple days earlier than estimated after finishing the diagnostic the same day when they said 1-2 days. Pleasantly surprised how affordable the whole deal was, cost less than other Apple Certified places quoted me, and put the diagnostic fee towards the repair which another place wouldnt do. I will not forget this experience. Be sure to back up your data beforehand and you’ll save a lot of money like I did.
These people are probably the ones who invented robbery. They will charge you ridiculous labor fees and don’t even stand by their worthless service when the part breaks again. I had them just a few months ago fix my “apple logo..spinning wheel + progress bar” problem which prevented me from logging on to my computer. Alas, the problem has returned with a vengeance. Not only do they (rude guy named Davis who claimed to be the manager) refuse to fix it, but they don’t even have the decency to sell me the part (ribbon cable) to fix it myself, unless I also pay them for labor so that they can repeat the same crappy job they did the last time. Of course I said hell no. I’d rather pay more for the part elsewhere than hire the services of this useless greedy group of charlatans. Please do yourself a favor and avoid these greedy quacks at all cost!!!
Incredibly helpful and fast service!
They’ve upgraded multiple 2012 iMac computers that are not easily upgradable to solid-state drives at a very fair price. Thanks Hitech.
If I could a zero stars I would! They dont care about the customer. The moment I walked in they already had charged me $50 without listening to what I had to say. I honestly believed in them when they said they would fixed my phone. Instead they just wasted my time and money! They dont care! Avoid this place, stay to the actual apple store when they actually care for they customers. The same day I left to the Apple Store and my problem was fixed at no charge! So once again, avoid this place!
Not good.
I just had a terrible experience at Los Feliz Hi-Tech. After being a long-time client, I decided to go there to buy a computer for my 16-year-old son. A week later the computer went on the fritz. So we went back to Los Feliz Hi-Tech to return the machine and get a new one but they said no. We could only get a new machine if we paid them a $130 restocking fee! Otherwise they would fix the week-old machine and give us back what is clearly an already tarnished computer. This is how Los Feliz Hi-Tech chose to treat me even though Ive been a loyal customer for many years. Dont think that your loyalty means anything to them. Obviously, they just care about money.I hope Diego Thomas, the owner of Los Feliz Hi-Tech, feels good about the choice he made when he valued a $130 restocking fee over the loyalty of a long-time client.
Yay Los Feliz Hi Tech, Yay! I went overseas on a trip, and while away my MacBook Pro got water in it. I say got water in it because it was not I who spilled. Anyway. I was afraid that I might have lost my photos from the trip. I first went to the Apple Store, but theyre sort of scorched earth over there. Replace the whole dang thing, wipe the hard drive, so I would have needed to back up the entire thing (which would have possibly caused more damage by running it for several hours), and spent over $1,000. They suggested Los Feliz Hi Tech. So glad they did! Yay Apple Store! These guys fixed my problem for $400, including a rush fee, and the hard drive did not need to be wiped or even touched. I got my computer back a couple of days later (they had to order a part) and its working perfectly. Photos saved. Money saved. Excellent customer service. Happiness all around.Go here for your Apple problems.
If you value your time or have any love for yourself, you’ll stay far away from this draining black hole of computer hell. I only pray that they will all find their calling in a different field and stop torturing unsuspecting human beings. These guys are the worst. I dropped off my computer with some emo-kid with nail polish on. He seemed super inconvenienced by my being there, he kept rolling his eyes and breathing heavily then entered my computer’s serial number into their system incorrectly. I contacted Apple who provided me with an email to send them proving I was still on Apple care and under warranty. When I called the store back to confirm that the error had been corrected, an overly emotional Russian started YELLING at me saying this wasn’t his problem and that I was lying about having Apple care because it wasn’t coming up in their system. It took me connecting a call with an Apple agent to the store for them to attempt any problem solving and to reenter the serial number correctly this time. 3 days later when I came to pick up my laptop at the time they said it would be ready, they told me they hadn’t gotten to it yet and to come back after the holidays.
The guy that helped me was really nice. Too bad I didnt get his name, but thank you!
Very helpful staff! I will use them again.
Knowledgeable staff. They always help me out with my MAC issues and sometimes at no charge.
They charge $100 for a wipe of a macbook and then point out the battery is failing and itd be an additional $418. No thanks. Thats ridiculous.
RUINED MY MAC BOOK !! AVOID THESE SCAMMERS !! DESTROYED MY MBP AND CHARGED ME AN INSANE AMOUNT !!
These guys suck
If you trade in your old computer, be sure to erase all your drives first and dont trust them to do it.
Friendly and helped save my computer
Thanks for fixing my laptop!
