I have been following LetterPress on Instagram right before the COVID-19 pandemic. So when they finally opened there doors, again, I wanted to make sure I supported their business. The fact that they survived the past year is amazing, since a lot of small businesses didn’t. We bought 6 different chocolate bars, and all of them were smooth, creamy well balanced, full of flavor chocolate bars. The great news is that you can get their products from different grocery stores, curbside and order online. Worth the purchase if you love good chocolate.
Everything about this place is top class, unbelievable chocolates, a fantastic variety of local produce and a good sense of humour made our visit so welcoming.
The chocolate here is on a completely different level. I (pre-covid) traveled the world for months and months, seeking out the best of the best chocolate everywhere I went. I had my favorites, but then Letterpress came along - right in my neighborhood - and blew these out of the water. The chocolate is incredible and I highly recommend the tour. My only complaint is I wish I didnt live so close so Id stop buying so much, but I just cant stop! Its that good!
The best chocolate around! Supporting this family owned business is an easy choice when you know that once youve tried their wide variety of in-house made chocolates, there is no going back to those over-roasted bitter dark chocolate bars at Trader Joes.
Great stuff! I buy a batch of them as a bday gift to myself it is so good! Highly recommend!
Amazing chocolate! I pretty much tried every bar they’ve created.
This is like a homemade chocolate store, with beans from all over the world in their products. The product is delicious and beautiful. It made a great gift for my chocolate loving sister. Lots of kosher parve options. You can also buy their homemade ice cream that they make in the store with their chocolate - and sit in the adorable, calm setting. Supervised by Kosher LA.
Im not even a fan of dark chocolate, and I could still gobble up an entire bar. And I didnt know that cacao from different places could taste so different till I took the tour. This is some really good quality, melt- in-your mouth chocolate. My personal favorites are the Belize and white chocolate. And their candles will make ur home smell delicious.
Took the tour and loved it. I decided for the ice cream on a rainy day and have no regrets. If you are in the Los Angeles area come and visit LetterPress Chocolate because you are going to love it. Owners are super nice and friendly. ProTip: ask about the hot chocolate and the ice cream and sample them cause you’ll end up buying them.
I had the opportunity to visit Letterpress chocolate in Los Angeles over the weekend and I can tell you that Not only was the tour very informative, the chocolate itself was delicious. I highly recommend that if you are in Los Angeles, this is one of the places to stop and visit because its worth it. LetterPress is my new guilty chocolate pleasure and I cant wait to go back.
I order LetterPress chocolates online from their website. The 85% chocolate is a must try for gourmet dark chocolate lovers. Its the best chocolate I have ever tasted. Their 100% dark chocolates are smooth, beautifully intense and not bitter. They have great values: they pay twice the commodity price to help farmers to make a living wage in Ghana. They also do an incredible job with their online ordering and tracking system. They shipped my order after an hour I placed it and it arrived two days later. They also provide an awesome tracking system that allows me to see from the shipping to delivery where is my order on the map. There are only two other companies that come to mind making exceptional chocolate in America: Brasstown 85% chocolate and Fruition 85% chocolate.
Small batches of high-quality chocolates are made in this good place..
Chris did an amazing tour that was worth more than the cost of the tour in my opinion. It was extremely informative and the geek in me loved hearing about the process from fruit to bar.It was lovely and we even got to try the cacao before anything was added to the machine that (I forget its name and verbage) makes magic of liquefying the bean. We lucked out that day and it was beautiful.Tried the addictive cacao juice and samples of stuff that I dont want to ruin for you. Its much too cool for that.Lets just say that this was incredible to truly note the differences between each of the varieties on my pallet. I felt like a boss! LolA company with passion and a real love for what they do!
Im not sure why I didnt Google about this place when it opened. They offer a variety of nostalgic candies. Ive bought gifts here...a cheap thrill for many a friend. Its also a great place to buy candy to fill a piñata or fun party favors. Super friendly owner too...warms my tummy and heart.
This place was amazing! David and Corey truly have something special. I have never had such amazing chocolates. My two daughters and I did their hour long tour as a part of our homeschooling project and we were not disappointed. You literally get to taste everything from bean to bar and the selection is simply delightful. We will be back here really soon! Thank you LetterPress Chocolates. You have a beautiful story and I am so inspired by what you all are doing. Much success to you!

I absolutely love love love the bars. We bought several to try - Cookie Butter, Milk Salted Caramel, Dark Salted Caramel, Waffle Cone Caramel, Peanut Butter Banana, Cannoli and Peppermint Bark. Oh heaven on earth! These bars are absolutely perfect.
We went back for our tour and were impressed with the knowledge of the tour guide. Even though it was short, we learned a lot and she spent extra time at the end answering all our questions. We bought more candy, of course!
Letterpress Chocolate is amazing. I highly recommend the tour. It’s extremely informative and very well done.We had a great time. The chocolate is amazing. A hidden gem!
Amazing chocolate!
The chocolates here is great and their spoons are designed well. I get my taste was fix from awfully pure chocolate often. Reasonably priced for the quality.
Fantastic chocolatier couple who have been in the game.for some years now and whom you can tell are in it to make great chocolate. They source from the highest quality farms and are bean-to-bar in house. They take a scientific, data-centered approach to chocolate making so you know the end product is high quality. DO NOT LEAVE WITHOUT A BAR OF THE UCAYALI! And try out their different bars because they have chocolate for everyone.
You walk in thinking youre going to have a great time, just learn about the chocolate making process and enjoy some samples. You do not think you will spend $10-$20 on some boujee high quality, artisanal chocolate bars because that costs more than the tour itself.WRONG. LOL my bf, his family and I all attended a tour together and by the end of the tour with Chris, we were SOLD. My bf paid $30 for two bars of chocolate and he is the type that gives me a hard time about buying $5 chocolate bars from Whole Foods. His sister bought $70 of chocolate and when we left, she said she wanted more! I thought I would be the only one willing to pay lots for high quality and ethically sourced chocolate in our group but man was I wrong. IT IS WORTH IT once in a while when you treat yoself. ;)
This is true bean to bar single origin chocolate by a talented husband and wife team. Loved the tour and tasting experience. Incredible, unique chocolates that you wont find anywhere else
It is so nice to see this family owned company continue making our favorite chocolates by hand! Our guide was able to answer every question asked...plus at the end of the tour...samples!!
This place is like a high class Wonka Land. The nuanced tastes of the different chocolate bars blow me away every time. Really respect what theyre doing here.
We decided to add a chocolate factory to our to do list when visiting Los Angeles and I am glad we did. The tour is short but free and at the conclusion there are free sample goodies. This of course means we Will most definitely purchase from this purveyor of yumminess all the chocolates we can!!
This place makes great dark chocolate right there, bean to bar. Amazing process and taste. Free sample to help you decide. Great gifts for chocolate lovers

I did the chocolate factory tour and it was very informative and there were ten samples. Overall it was great!
LAs first bean-to-bar chocolate manufacturer. Super small business creating outstanding, premium, single-origin chocolate, and constantly refining and improving. Absolutely recommend taking the tour. Worth every penny.
Had a fascinating tour followed by chocolate samples. The chocolates are expensive, but superb, so eat less, and savor.
We met the owner on a trip to Belize a few years ago. I learned more about cocoa and making chocolate than I ever imagined. The man has a passion and his chocolate bars are proof! Most excellent!
This place is unbelievable. Id recommend it to anyone who loves special and traditional tasting chocolates.
Took the tour, super fun and learned much about the chocolate making process. Guide was one of the owners/founders and he answered all my novice questions. Oh, and the chocolate was soooooo good.
Service is always good and that are always pleasant while supplying you with as many samples as you would like. We visit a few times a month.
Have a chocolate with whip cream while youre there. Its out of this world taste here and the customer service was definitely awesome!!!
Highly recommend this tour - Willy Wonka for adults. Fantastic tour! Really enjoyed fhe technical aspects; the knowledge of the process. Learned lots about the plant and the chocolate making process. I liked starting with tasting cocoa nibs and ending with finished chocolate bars. Owners/Tour guides are wonderful.
If i could marry chocolate, this would be the place. specifically the Ecuador 70% Dark.
Superb bean to bar chocolate. Come by for a tasting experience.
Beautiful factory, tasty chocolates
