Im a huge fan of Compartes, the many options of chocolate theres truly one for everyone! One of my favorite things about Compartes is the experience when you walk into their store. Its inviting, chic and you know the detail that goes into every bar, piece of chocolate is balanced your surroundings. Of course the chocolate, you can order it online and get it in record time or visit one of their locations either way the quality of the chocolate is delicious. Im obsessed with the taste, one of my favorite flavors is the donut bar and the one with chips. Its genius how these everyday flavors come together into a delicious chocolate bar. As a chocolate lover this is a must try and if youre in the LA area, paying a visit to the store locations is worth the drive. Its definitely a win for me every time. I just wish they bring back the Frozen Hot Chocolate.

Their chocolate is the best! So many great flavors. The cinnamon toast crunch bar is by far my favorite, but the horachata flavor is a close second. Compartes also has great service! I order and my chocolate is on my door step the next day, every time! Cant beat great flavor and great service.

I visited once a few years ago where they make the chocolates, now I’ve been ordering online, the shipping is really fast and they always arrive beautifully packed with ice in the summer. We ordered the marshmallow crisp milk chocolate bar and the vanilla bean infused marshmallows dipped in chocolate and they are all delicious!! The marshmallow in the bar is creamy and smooth and paired perfectly with the crisp and the chocolate is delicious and smooth also. We already are reordering again. The staff at compartes is wonderful very friendly and answer any questions you may have.

In the past year and a half with the pandemic, our orders have been a something to look forward to, especially when LA was on lockdown. As such a fan of the brand, I was thrilled when getting to meet Jonathan after the city reopened, and he is as unique and wonderful as his chocolate. It is rare to encounter a founder so dedicated to their brand and customer experience, and finding one who truly loves what they do is a trifecta you almost never see. I highly recommend Compartes for any gifting or entertaining needs, they truly provide an experience that never fails to bring joy.

The most creative and delicious chocolate! Each time I visit I’m amazed at all of the options. My favorite will always be the frosted animal cookie bar 😍 the staff is incredible and always helpful!

I ordered 4 chocolates from them for Father’s Day. Only 2 of the 4 were the correct bars, and the other 2 were completely random ones I did not pick. I emailed customer service and sent them pictures and they still haven’t emailed me back or tried to help! Disappointed.Edit: they reached back to me a couple days after this review and let me know that they would send replacements. I got those with a day delay but expected due to heat concerns. My dad loved both flavors that we got, and I was happy that I at least got my replacements.

Failed to fulfill order. I called, expecting assistance. I was told to keep waiting - after three weeks and I had paid for expedited shipping. Finally had to say I would need to open a case with American Express. They swiftly cancelled the order. No offer to make this right.

Terrible customer service and absolutely false and misleading marketing. Have emailed them - no response. Left a review on their website - not there. Fine. I will leave a review everywhere I can, and I will NEVER purchase from them again. They advertise a monthly chocolate subscription. They use a picture of a box of 8 chocolate bars for the product, and it states in the production description that the items received would be worth WELL OVER the monthly price of $50. These are all blatant lies. If you’re lucky, you will receive the same TWO chocolate bars every month along with a handful of truffles, adding up to no more than $52. In fact, I have received UNDER $50 worth of products, so I’m overpaying them to send me whatever leftover Chrissy teigen bars they have in the back of the pantry. Thanks, but no thanks. Overpriced, mediocre chocolate, really. Find someplace that’s values their customers to splurge on chocolate.

I received the $250 box of 24 chocolate bars and didn’t receive anything that was listed under the details it was mostly dark chocolate and flavors that were likely left overs because people werent buying them was very disappointed and also has received repeat bars when I contacted customer service they wanted proof and said after that they would send me more bars first off the chocolate wasn’t that good to go through that for more bars and after spending 250 dollars you would think they would be a little more acccomidating they know what they put in there boxes the description is a false narrative it should say we’re going to throw whatever we have around in there and none of the good bars that people buy. Very disappointed as I got this for Mother’s Day would of been happier with a 20 Fanny may box of turtles don’t waste the money not worth it and people are rude won’t be giving them another dime.

I ordered two Easter baskets and paid for expedited shipping as directed on the website. This was ordered Tuesday, Easter was Sunday, I received the deliveries the following Thursday and Friday. 4-5 days after Easter. No communication back from them, no refund for the expedited shipping. Will never order from them again. The chocolate is good but the customer service is terrible!

Compartes is my goto for company gifts, birthdays, holidays, or just to crave my chocolate addiction. Once you try it….there is no turning back!

Ordered online and it shipped fast and safely which was nice but these chocolates are definitely not worth $10 a bar. My wife and I agreed it doesn’t taste any different than what you can get at the grocery store for 1/4th that price and the ones that have pieces of stuff in them barely have any in them. Ordered $100 or 10 different bars of chocolates and it really should’ve only cost $30-40 at most, just not very good chocolate.

Amazing little fudge place! I bought four pieces: the Peanut Butter Pie, the Dark Chocolate, the Tiger Butter, and the California Earthquake. My favorite ended up being the California Eartquake- just the amount of coconut, pecan, and chocolatey goodness. The owner was so nice he also gave me some freshly made caramel popcorn! I will definitely return for some fudge when Im in town...

I ordered 2 chocolate bars 2 weeks before Valentine’s Day (placed order on 1/30/21). Compartes emailed me on 2/1/21 indicating my order was “shipping soon.” I don’t believe Compartes ever fulfilled my order. The USPS tracking information indicated Compartes sent pre-shipment info, but that USPS was still awaiting on the actual items. I emailed Compartes on 2/5/21, about a week after I placed the order, asking when I could expect the order to be shipped. I never received a response, so I followed up again on 2/9/21 and, again, never received a response. So I called Compartes a few days later on 2/11/21 asking about my order and the guy on the phone blamed it on USPS saying they lose things and that they’re really overwhelmed right now with shipping. According to many other reviews, this is their signature card to play - blame on everyone but themselves. Anyways, they told me to call back on Monday 2/15 (after Valentine’s Day, which defeats the whole purpose of the chocolate bar) if my order doesn’t arrive. So I called back on 2/17 asking for them to cancel my order altogether at this point. The lady on the phone again blamed USPS saying they “misplaced” my item. I understand things happen and Valentine’s Day is a busy time of year for chocolatiers, but I find it hard to believe USPS “loses” and “misplaces” their packages as frequently as their reviews state they do. I’ve never experienced this issue with any other small, local businesses that utilize USPS for their shipping needs. It’s truly disappointing when companies can’t be transparent, honest and own up to their own mistakes. I would recommend supporting another small business and purchasing your chocolate from other chocolatiers with higher company values and better customer service.

The shop is super small but very pretty (gilded and art deco-y), and their selection of chocolate bar flavors is great! They have a side window for their frozen hot chocolate (I get mine with cereal on top- yum!). They also have a variety of small truffle chocolates in the front, and gift boxes. The bars make excellent gifts for people not from LA.

Great chocolate. Once you walk in you can smell the chocolate straightaway! We got the mission hot chocolate (spicy) and the European drinking hot chocolate. Would have loved to try their cold drinks but it was too cold outside. I really liked the mission got chocolate! It was spicy in a nice subtle way. The European hot chocolate was very thick! Good for the experience but I probably wont get it again.

Ordered 8 bars of chocolate and only received 6. This wouldnt be much of a problem if they offered a partial refund or to send me the missing bars, but every attempt Ive made to contact them about the problem has pretty much been ignored.I used the Contact Us form on their website and never heard back. Then tried sending them a Facebook a message, which went ignored until I posted on their Facepage page saying that I needed help with an order because I didnt get everything I bought. They replied to my Facebook message but went back to ignoring me after I told them what I was missing. Oh, and they deleted my Facebook comment because I guess it made them look bad! I also tried contacting them on Twitter and the same thing happened (i.e., they DMd me asking what the issue was, I replied, and then silence).Their chocolate is pretty good, but customer service definitely leaves something to be desired and is borderline dishonest. Thankfully, I paid using Paypal so I have filed a dispute to try to get a partial refund on the bars I didnt receive. Spare yourself the headache and get your fill of chocolate elsewhere.

The fancy packaging and branding plays a part in that, but if you buy a Compartes bar youre getting excellent chocolate with tons of mix-ins. Even the white chocolate is amazing, which is a rare feat for any company.Is the price a bit much? Sure. But this is the one-stop shop for all of their varieties plus amazing truffles and polite customer service.Youre also supporting a local, family-owned business in a mall filled with multi-national retailers and conglomerates. That might be reason enough to indulge.

We ordered a large box of these beautiful and delectable chocolates as a gift. We had a minor shipping mixup and the Managment handled it so professionally and were more than fair. You definitely get what you pay for. Highly recommended..

This store is simply divine. Not only is the selection of candies extensive, but the staff is always super helpful and nice, allowing you to try any of the candy. I highly recommend the melt in your mouth mint kisses, chocolate toffee caramels, and the butter caramels.

My daughter’s favorite part was the free sample at the end of the tour. We enjoyed seeing the launch of a new product, how truffles are made, and the cutting of caramels. Our tour guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. It was worth the stop.

We went on a Saturday when they’re cleaning instead of actually making candies, but it was still a neat tour. We got right in and it was just two couples on the tour. The tour was free. We also got to sample chocolate on the factory floor.

I found their website by doing a google search and decided to send my mom and box of chocolates for her birthday. I am in South Dakota and my mom is in Florida. I didnt even think about chocolate melting since our weather here has been below zero! My mom received her chocolate, but it was melted. She said it still tasted good, but I was disappointed that her gift arrived in that condition. I emailed the company and received an email back immediately with an apology and they said they would overnight a new box of chocolates to my mom. Seriously, less than 24 hours after I had sent my email, my mom had a new box of chocolates in her hand and they were perfect! I will definitely be ordering from this company again. Their customer service was perfection.

Drove by this place and how to stop because I remember seeing it on television and it looked really good and it was they have vegan chocolate they have a lot of good chocolate flavors the cashier was very friendly and informative as to what type of chocolates and ingredients they carry the Place was nice but I think the libreria location is a bit bigger and may be a bit nicer because they do have the person making the chocolate there and you can see while its being made definitely recommend for you to try.

If you have a sweet tooth this is the place to go. Also it’s a saving grace on the Los Angeles. the service is quick and polite. Drinks are great.

So unbelievably delicious! I ordered the the brownie cookie sandwich with tonka bean ice cream...and as I type this, my mouth is quite literally salivating. My husband ordered the sticky toffee warmie sundae - it was unreal. If you like toffee and caramel flavors, then you should definitely go for the sticky toffee.

Very nice chocolate place. If you REALLY like chocolate, you probably already know that you have to pay the price to find the good stuff. This is the kind of place that you should be willing to pay the extra $.I tried several truffles and they were very flavorful and rich. There are many many options to try so I might have to go back, even though I ordered 7 different kinds and the staff was kind enough to give me orange peel covered with chocolate to try on the house. After my visit here I was definitely a happy chocoholic!

Highly recommend this place for a no-frills decadent truffle. You will love how the Earl Grey melts in your mouth with a very subtle tea taste in your mouth. If Earl Grey is not your thing, they have have coconut and even vegan varieties for your sweet tooth. Also, the owner is very charming and friendly.

Absolute best chocolate in LA. Amazing single origin bars, truffles & unique flavor combinations for bars (dark chocolate with biscuits & honey, milk chocolate with cereal, dark chocolate with pistachios, salt & rose petals, theres a thai bar with chocolate, lemongrass & ginger pieces & a bar with tiny bits of pretzel pieces). My favorite is the single origin, wild harvested chocolate- its called Wild Cocoa. I hunt down chocolate in all my travels. But this trumps them all- except one spot I can only get in Paris.
