He quality and presentation of their products are fantastic! I would highly recommend this candy store for all of your sweet toothed needs!
Wonderful experience ordering for shipment. The girl I spoke with on the phone was so helpful and kind when I called for a shipping update. I am very happy to say they are taking Covid precautions in regards to their products. The last thing I want is random unvaccinated people to be touching bulk bins and contaminating the candy.
I have a major sweet tooth and Sockerbit definitely satisfies! They are one of my favourite candy shops, I especially love their sour candies. Ive only bought from them online but definitely would love to visit one day.
Theres a lot of variety, and the candy is a cut above flavor and quality wise.
Has my favorite sweet kick
All the the candy i grew up with in sweden ..love it!!!!
The salty licorice is addictive! The rambo are delicious! I didn’t actually visit the store, but made an online order. Worth every penny!!
I love chocolate, and Awfully Chocolate does it right! The chocolate is dark, smooth and yummy. Just the perfect dessert recipe and it wasnt pricey either. Wish I had the appetite to try a few more items.
My favorite Candy Store in the World. They have the best quality ever. I highly recommend them! I love everything about it from the name, the branding, the packaging, the service and the quality of their products!
Favorite candy shop for bin candy. They only use all natural sugars, no chemicals or harmful ingredients. Cute Swedish items on the side that make for great gifts. The tiny percentage of Swedish DNA in me loves this.
I haven’t been here before but I plan to go when I take a trip out that way. I use their website to order candy from them currently. They are still delivering during the Covid—19 crisis. I requested a specific candy (Ferrari Salt Hallon) that I could not get anywhere online and the lovely lady who seems to run the place stocked it just because I asked. Now I can get my favourite any time I want. I couldn’t even order it online anywhere because Swedish websites either cannot process payments from this side of the pond or they won’t ship here. Thank you, Florence! I’m a customer for life and can’t wait to actually visit this store in person some day.
I love this place! Theres a ton of Swedish candy and pantry items available. Cutlery is also available to buy & I love the layout of the store. Its bright & white,& theres Carmela nearby. I love the chocolates & cola flavored candies.
Sockerbit is a must for any trip to the area! You simply cannot resist the lure of the taffy, no matter how hard you try, so dont even fight it. There were more flavors than your mind can any comprehend. And theres even free samples! If on the off chance, you dont like taffy, theres a wide selection of other candy as well.
Great selection of candy you probably wont find in most places. Love the sour sculls, and chocolate covered nougat. Some of the candy is super hard due to shifting temperatures but ask the store attendant if you are are picking out the sour skulls or corkscrew varieties and theyll help you out. I think most are naturally colored, otherwise theyre labeled.
Found the tea thermos we needed and were able to get many other things via special order. Metered parking in front and lots of candy options for those interested. We will be back for decor and treats!
Its very pricey and if youre more used to super sweet candy, this might not be for you. But the subtle flavors and textures of the candies, along with the variety is pretty great. Id definitely go again as a treat to myself
I stopped in there a few nights ago to kill some time, and Im glad I did! I had a craving for dried plums, and these are the best-- really sour on the outside, and sweet inside. I also got some dried fish snacks-- salty crispy fish/chip things. tasty! The quality is great and the store is SPOTLESS... always a plus!
I love treating myself to the sour mix. They always come fresh and delicious! My favorite? (raspberry skull)!
I think its a cute little place where you can find obsure candies that you havent seen for a long time. When you see Starbucks, dont forget to turn towards Van Ness to check it out. The owner is nice too.
Great old school candies and hard to find Euro chocolates. Id give it 4 stars if the owner would sing the candy man song from Willy Wonka.
This is a pretty funky store. Heavy emphasis on Scandinavian candy which yields some unique flavors and cool looking pieces. Fair pricing for the quality of candy they carry.
Delicious beyond words. Assorted chocolate candy treats too.
I love this candy store. The couple that owns it is very friendly and helpful and their candy selection is awesome!
Great place to buy treats! Lots of choices and pricing is fair.
Was just there yesterday and store is practically empty .. they should close it down. it was not worth the trip, go else where !
Best place in town if you want some swedish candies :)
The best candy store in town! Everything you need is here!
Great place to find delicious candy to get for yourself, family, and friends.
A friend brought me in here, and I gotta say, it is a super-legit European candy store with lots of yummy & flavorfull varieties -- if you want a Candy Sommelier, ask for Aaron, since he LITERALLY knows everything about candy and is a legit candy connoisseur!
Took my kids here not too long ago and they love it! I think all the candy we bought lasted us about a month but overall a good place to get some sugar if you have a sweet tooth!
The place is good, and assorted candies make it best!
At 14 dollars per pound the paper bag used to weigh the candy costs you at least one dollar. Candy is interesting at best, but overpriced. Buy US candy instead, youre better off.
Assorted candies for all ages! i love buying candies in this place!
Fantastic! A unexpected find in such a big city, will forever satisfy your sweet tooth!
One of the best candy I have ever had in my life. Will for sure make this my staple shop for a longgg time. ;)
I admit, I am a harsh reviewer for most reviews, but I have to say this is the best candy store I have every been in my entire life. I am European and I know how GREAT our candy is. This store is the best you will find in LA. It is a bit pricy at $12.99 a pound, (trust me Im a student, I budget EVERYTHING) and yet I always make sure I can get at least 1 or 2 pounds every month 💗 I figure if Im going to indulge, I only want the best! Go as soon as you can, and while youre there, ask the very friendly employees why Swiss candy is the best!!! I love it!!!!Tianna MarieStudent at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts
THE BEST! WISH they had a store downtown
A really good variety of any candy you could imagine
My wife and I ordered some candy from here as a reward to ourselves after she had been following a very regimented diet and after the stresses of moving into a new place and starting a new job. We had heard really good things about this candy, so we were hoping it was going to be delicious. The shipping time of the box we ended up receiving was quite timely and the packaging of the candy was very well done and cute. The texture, appearance, and smell were also enjoyable, but for candy that cost as much as it does and that is only sold in two physical locations in the United States, we were really letdown by the resounding meh-ness of it. Instead of having unique and interesting flavors (which a few pieces had), most of it was pretty bland and boring.Well grant that there were a few pieces of it that we liked, and that taste is a very subjective matter, but we feel that for the price we paid the candy should have been more enjoyable (as candy is supposed to be).
Great time in here with the kids picking out candys.Very spacious store and attentive staff13.99 for a pound of candyThey need more Scandinavian products besides candys, some sodas would help, toys and whatnotIt just has a sterile feeling to it
Great candies, especially the sour candies. It is expensive for what it is, but I do make an effort to come here whenever I am in downtown LA for their sour candies. I understand that the prices are high because theyre importing from Scandinavia, so I dont mind as much.
Great service and Huge variety of candies!
If youre scandinavian and you miss real candy this is the perfect place!
Candy you have never seen, not all butvsome. Theres a lot of variety, and the candy is a cut above flavor and quality wise.
Interesting candy. $13.99 a pound. All sorts of licorice.
Amazing place
The best candies ever!!! I always order from them!!! I dont share my candies to nobody!!
Love Swedish candy and they also have other Swedish food items.
Good variety. Sells christmas soda (julmust) during christmas, in small numbers however; be quick. Expensive, but worth it for homesick swedes.
Great staff and great selection of candy. They also carry some Swedish food classics such as fiskbullar (fishballs, basically meatballs made of fish, in a sauce) and Kalles Kaviar (an odd kind of caviar that we Swedes love to put on eggs and sandwiches). Only downside is that its a bit pricey, but thats totally understandable.
Not what it used to be. Half empty store.
Luv this place. If you are a chocolate, candy, or marshmallow junkie, its a must see.
Not enough salt licorice- only one section - still 5*
As a Dane living in LA, Im not sure I would be able to survive without a great candy store like this one carrying all of my favorites from back home! 🙌🏻
My first time here will be my fifth time in Los Angeles since I moved to Fresno, thats why I gave it one star.
