It was my first time going here even though I’ve been wanting to try it out for a long time. I had a bagel with cream cheese and lox - it was delicious and so fresh!! The prices are very affordable and a fresh OJ for $3.75 is unbeatable. Will definitely come back!

3.5 stars for me. I was excited to try this place after seeing such great reviews. Unfortunately, it wasn’t AS good as the hype built up. Here’s the breakdown:- service is good. But the ordering and line up system is a little all over the place and people coming in & out of both doors make for an unfair system of who is first- bagel - on just the bagel itself, the everything bagel is made really well and is one of the better I’ve had in town.- sandwich - I ordered the bacon, egg and cheese everything bagel and that as a whole was ok. I wasn’t overwhelmed. It had one small slither of bacon, the eggs were fluffy but the cheese was super greasy.Overall 3.5 stars and my search for the best BE&C bagel in LA continues for me.

As a former New Yorker, I was spoiled with great bagels. After moving to LA many years ago, I gave up and settled for the supermarket atrocities. One morning I just had enough and started the search. The Bagel Broker is as good as it gets. No long weekend morning lines. Sure the have a few oddities (like jalapenos and cheese) but buy with confidence. The bagels are solid.

I ordered a blueberry bagel with butter and it came drenched and dripping with butter. It was hard to taste the flavor of the bagel. My boyfriend had a bagel with cream cheese and it was overloaded with cream cheese. Fortunately, I got a blueberry and egg bagel to take home as well. After trying both of them, I would say these bagels are average. It seems like a popular spot so I’m glad I gave it a try, but I don’t think I’ll return.

When the bagels are made correctly they are absolutely delicious but it is ALWAYS hit or miss and the price is NEVER the same. Sometimes my bagel is $5 sometimes is $13. They do it by “weight” so often times they load up UNNECESSARY amount of items just to make your item heavier which i find incredibly shady and disrespectful. Yes i asked for cucumber I didn’t need a 1/2 pound of it. I always end up taking 1/2 of what they put on off because it’s just TOO much. Would love some consistency. I asked for a bagel with onion cream cheese and cucumber. no drink nothing. Normally $6-7 bucks today it was $13 lol and of course the plate they weighed had picked and some coleslaw i didn’t ask for... The price continues to go up. So So shady. Watch them if you build your own... that’s all other wise not bad. It comes down to principle for me

One of the best bagels Ive ever had in my life! It tastes so fresh and not stale! Got the everything bagel and I love how the toppings on the bagel doesnt really fall off.Wouldve given this place 5 stars but I took out a star because the staff doesnt have that welcoming vibe, no smiles, no greeting, Im just here for my paycheck look.No matter how good the place is, the staff should at least smile because thats part of having a good customer service. People do get tired, their in a rush because of the line, may have a problem or something but you dont have to spread your negativity you know. A little smile or a little hi goes a long way! Customer service is what makes a good place great.Other than that, awesome bagels indeed!

The service is excellent and fun; there’s a girl at the register who has kept me smiling, all the while I’m eating breakfast, with her amazing attitude. I would not and will not hesitate to come back here for breakfast any and all the time I’m in the area. Pay a visit, you’ll go on your way more than satisfied.

3 stars since it’s La, it would be 2 in Nyc so I’m keeping the location in mind.It looks like a bagel, it’s sold like a bagel it just doesn’t have the bagel taste and excitement.A bit too much dough imo, I’m sure it’s good with a lot of stuff on it but they should improve it a bit . Sam’s bagels is better .Friendly and easy service, and easy to park if you go by car which applies to 99 % .So yeah no crazy hate or love here, right in the middle.

Found out about this place last week because they were celebrating their 30th year and as a gift to their customers anyone born in 1987 would get a dozen bagels free! Okay yes I just revealed my age, but who cares! Haha :) Most important is the free bagels. We also tried their breakfast bagels, one being the lox. That was so good! Out of the dozen bagels I got, the best one has to be the cinnamon raisin! Sooo sugary, yummy! This place is pretty small, they do have a few small tables indoor. The parking is also super small, there are side street parking, with meter. But service moves pretty fast if you are running in to get bagels otherwise getting coffee or a breakfast bagel could delay you a bit. Did want to note they did mess up my boyfriends coffee order, but was able to remake it with no issues. It was pretty good too!

I’m a recent transplant from New York. The bagels are very similar to NY style — not exact, but they’re the best around for NY style bagels here in LA. Absolutely recommend getting a sesame bagel with veggie cream cheese. The bacon, egg, and cheese was okay, not worth getting again though; definitely was nothing like a NY BEC. Skip the bec, 100% go for the bagels. I’ll be back for sure!!

They mess up on orders and dont want to professionally fix their mistakes online/at location. Seems they have people that cant do their job by slapping a piece of meat on a sandwich. I ordered a turkey pastrami and there wasnt pastrami anywhere. DO NOT TRUST THE HYPE!Quite possibly one of the worst bacon, egg, and cheese bagels Ive ever had. Went to this place based on the glowing reviews, and could not have been more disappointed. The eggs, as far as I could surmise, were microwaved in a cup with the cheese on top. Are you kidding me? In what world is that okay? Awful consistency and the cheese was obliterated. The bacon also felt like rubber and Id estimate it was at least a couple days old. The bagel itself was neither crunchy on the outside nor fluffy on the inside (the ideal texture of a bagel), it was just dense all around. Why do people keep coming here? Why is the line so long? Who are you people that keep validating this place? Have you ever tried a bagel before this god forsaken establishment came to existence? These are the questions that I cant escape because it is so jarring. Maybe they had an off day when I visited, but I find their technique deplorable and I would never recommend this place, even to my worst enemy. Id rather never eat a bagel again then come back to Bagel Broker one more time. Id love nothing more than to see them crumble.

CLASSIC bagel shop off Fairfax. All their bagels are delicious, fresh, and yeasty and they do NOT skimp on the cream cheese!Longtime favorite (first “day” date for my partner and I) and even people who don’t like bagels (heathens!!) will love this place. Our favorite is pumpernickel, toasted, regular cream cheese, to-go.Lines can get long on the weekends but it goes fairly quickly. Longest we’ve ever had to wait was 45 minutes total, between waiting to order and waiting for food. The parking lot is AWFUL and I would recommend grabbing street parking along Beverly near the CrossFit gym, about a block away. GREAT BAGELS AND MORE! This place was an answered prayer. After moving from NYC, I am thrilled to have FINALLY found a bagel place. Their bagels are fantastic and the real deal, best Ive had outside of NYC. Their chicken salad and tuna salad are to die for. Their pickles are great, too. Everything is so fresh you may swoon in deliciousness. The coleslaw is great. Everything tastes like a wonderful Jewish deli promises. The only con to this place? That they arent all over the L.A. area. I simply wish they had more locations. The sandwiches, the service, just entirely impeccable. My NYC-native boyfriend and I cant stop talking about how happy we were to discover this place. We just wanted a quick bite before attending a taping of Late Late Night with Craig Ferguson. This deli doesnt have many tables so I suppose most people order it for takeout and nosh it at home. All I know is that its the best, freshest food Ive had in L.A. and it frankly renewed my faith in the food in this town. Also, the staff is impeccable. They make me feel so special and valued as a customer.

The bagels are pretty good - in fact, probably hold their own against most anyones within a 5-10 mile radius. Beautiful though every course looks, the taste journey was exponentially better.Craig Thornton leads a brilliant, capable, passionate team of culinary artists who will lay before you, an eating experience difficult to parallel and impossible to replicate. The wait for an invitation, which can be months, is a complete outrage, right up until you taste the first forkful of the first course. Comparable to a Western Bagel type. Bagel selection may not be as big as Western Bagel but definitely worth checking out if you want a quick bite that takes minutes except for maybe Sat/Sun mornings when the line can go out the door (but moves quick). They offer deli sandwiches that you can make into a Bagel-wich! A very quick eats type of place with little atmosphere... Bagels - 3 stars Not as chewy as Id like and pretty standard in flavor but they sure dont skimp on the cream cheese, our guy overdid ours and we scraped half of it off (probably could have been used in a whole other bagel).
