This shop is horrible. A glorified RIP off mechanic in West LA. I brought my car in to test for a misfire and was quoted $600 to try and see if the spark plugs were the issue and go from there. They insisted I leave the car there overnight so they can charge an extra day of storage. After insisting I cannot and this is a simple job, they advised to bring the car in another day and leave it all day as it requires extensive work and monitoring to make sure of what the issue is. I left and went to my regular mechanic thats a little far from where I live. I was charged $215.00 for the same task and it was completed in less then 1 hour. Ordering parts, doing a diagnostic and changing parts.You guys are a bunch of scammers trying to rip people off who dont know any better. Shame on you!

I have been a customer for almost 6 years. I am female in my 70s and was nervous when I first went expecting to be taken advantage. The owners assured me they were not in the business by ripping people off especially little old ladies (🤣🤣). They are courteous, efficient, patient and above all honest. I highly recommend Jimmy and Mariano. They are the best!

I attempted to make an appt online. They didnt call back as stated. I called them, explained I had multiple items needing to be fixed. I have urgent need because I need to remove myself from a dangerous situation in a couple of weeks. David, I believe his name was, said they didnt have appointments this weekend and I could call back Monday. I said thats fine Ill do that.Then he called me right back and said are you the one that emailed for an appointment? I said yes. He said they would not help me at all because of the domestic violence issue that I mentioned in my appt request.What the heck kind of professionalism is that? You wont help me even though I can pay because Im a domestic violence victim needing help fixing their car. Theres no Nexus of connection between those two situations that should have had them turn me down to even look at my car.

Fix Car Now! Where do I even begin!! First I wanna say, I hate how we can only put 5 stars because they deserve WAY more! Not only did they repair my van that my family serious by rely on, but they made me feel like family. I brought my van for a 2nd opinion and not only did they confirm but he walked me through what they need to do but when I picked up he walked me around the van and showed me all the things. He also wrote down what needs to be address in order of importance. Knowing my current situation he made sure I had my van back at the end of day and made sure it was safe for my family! Ive been going to Fix Car Now since I moved to LA in 2016 and have always had the best service - Chance was great! This past week I had some work done to my Car and unfortunately they installed a faulty part and my car wouldnt start when I got to work. Mariano was very respectful and sent out their Lead Technician to my work to check on the car and drove it back to the shop to reinstall the part.I was disappointed at first that I had paid all of that money and my car still wasnt starting, but I dont think a lot of Shops in LA would provide the service they did to help with the problem.Fix Car Now never pressures you into doing anything you feel uncomfortable with and I trust these guys 100%. Great Service, Great People, Reasonable Prices, and 5 Star Recommendation.

No cost until they look at your vehicle, no storage fee too.Dropped off my vehicle on a Tuesday, left for the weekend and came back the following Tuesday and everything was fixed. They even recommended some maintenance which I had already known about and provided a nice competitive estimate.Would recommend checking them out!

Ive been looking for months for a place I could trust not to take advantage of me and provide quality service quickly and I finally found it.These guys replaced my busted radiator and replaced my oil within 5 hours. Very happy with the service - especially since they were able to return my car same-day after I dropped in on them early afternoon.One of the guys there (I think his name is Tom) runs the storefront and handles customers. Very nice guy. Since I had some time to kill while waiting for the car, I asked him if there were any good lunch spots around and he pointed me in the direction of some small diner within walking distance that is now my favorite lunch spot.If you dont have your guy yet for your mechanic needs, take your car here. You will be hard pressed to find a better shop or nicer crew.

A friend suggested to give them a try with my 2011 BMW X6 M. I was blown away with overall experience. The quote for the job came the minute it was promised and It was 1/4 of the dealer estimate. This was my first time meeting them worthy car that was overheating at the morning. They did evaluation and told me the possible reasons that made it happened. They did not get payment from me cause they told me to check if it still doing the issue to come back. As foreigner, its good to feel not used cause some other people would have ask for payment.

How awesome is that you can find a repair shop that’s open on a Sunday and tell you bring your car right in to look at it. From the first call Chance was very nice and professional and really cared about not only my vehicles safety, but mine as well.Thomas (the most awesome mechanic ever!!!!), explained to me exactly what was wrong with my car and provided a print out of what was wrong. He advised I could drive the car, but if I felt something was going wrong just pull over.If I didn’t live in Vegas I would totally leave my car here for the repairs!!!

The owner and mechanics were super friendly and helpful. We had a small evaporation leak in our gas which needed a smoke test to diagnose. They were fairly quick about the diagnosis, and gave us a loaner car while they kept ours overnight for the repair. The rates for labor were fair and they were good about keeping me in the loop as to what they were doing with our car. While no one likes to have to take their car in, if you find yourself looking for a mechanic, I would heartily recommend these guys!

I no longer will be using this place, this is the second time I have had a bad experience there.This time I went in for a regular oil change (a little more expensive than I thought it was going to be). They call me and told me that my back brakes are only at 5% and need replacing along with needing a tire rotation. They asked if I wanted them to do all that work. I didnt have time that day so I said no just the oil change.I was concerned, I had four new tires put on no more than two months ago - they really need rotation done now? Plus, I can get free rotation at the tire store - this made me question everything.The following day I had a spot under my car, concerned that it was something they did I took it back to them and while they looked at they said it didnt have anything to do with what they worked on. Strange that it started the day after they worked on my car.Final draw: I had a friend that said the brakes are easy and he can help me do it - I bought the pads and he came over to help me replace them. After we got off the first set of pads, we compared them to the new pads and they were at least 45% still there not 5%. Just in case they meant the front brakes, we checked them too. They were at least at 40%. They straight up lied to me!So all I can say is either watch them or go somewhere else.

Performed a full car inspection prior to my lease buy-out. My wife brought the car in with our baby and they made sure to get it done quickly. We couldnt find the wheel lock and they happily let us come back for an included tire rotation the next week. No one tried to sell us anything, just did a great job and then some. Excellent!

How can an auto repair place possibly have five stars, especially one thats been in business this long? I mean, think of all the moving parts, so to speak. It really has to come down to Stephens leadership and integrity. I have taken two older vehicles to Action over the past two or three years and my only question is: Why didnt I find them sooner?

Brought my BMW X1 for front breaks and an oil change, I received fast and quality service at a reasonable price. There was one minor concern and they offered to take a look at it right away, very happy with the service!

Night and Day experience. Received a free inspection from owner #1 (Jimmy). The repair was identified and the part was ordered. Returned for service and owner #2 was there.My experience with owner #2 was anything but pleasant. During my time there he was pacing around the customer area, doing pull up exercises and grunting loudly in front of all the customers. I perceived him as aggressive and seemingly out of control.During my repair, I inquired about the job cost. His immediate response was, “I didn’t write it up!” And “We can stop the job!” I explained that I was asking a simple and honest question. He than demanded that the mechanic stop the job and get my car off the lot. He kept repeating this loudly, “get this car off the lot!”The part cost was $81.35 (their cost was $61.47). The labor was $105/hr. This repair required .5hr. The total repair was $220 +tax.I feel the repair cost should have been $186.35. A perceived overage of $34.35.My recommendation, pay close attention if you choose to repair your car here. Try and catch owner #1 (Jimmy).

Love these guys! I work in the area and have zero time to deal with mechanical stuff. I have taken 3 of my vehicles to them to fix while Im at work, all fixed timely and reasonably. I was shocked to find that they are open 7 days and give loaner cars free of charge, NOBODY DOES THAT!!!!

Jimmy and Chance (and Cricket too!) are the best! I work in the Century City area, so they will take me to and from my office, or I can even just go to the office and they get my car (they have a service space at our building anyway). They beat my old mechanics prices fairly regularly, and have been willing to match or come really close to other quotes. AND- get this - AND they ARE OPEN ON SUNDAYS AT THIS LOCATION! SUNDAYS! Really, and not just for like 2 hours before you ever wake up. All day. All day Saturday AND all day Sunday. Who else is open like that? I work something like 2500 hours a year, so 9-5 shops just dont work out for me. Who leaves work that early? As a result of this, they now handle my Honda SUV, my 23 year old Mercedes, my boyfriends former BMW 325i and now his newer Jeep Wrangler. If they cant do it, they tell you, and if you dont need it, they tell you that too. And I had an emergency blowout on a weekend, and of course I called them, and while they couldnt do it for me, they found me a referral tire shop on La Cienega that hooked me up within the hour, also at a surprisingly nice price. So far, very happy.

Let me first say the only repair I’ve received was a patch on my tire after I picked up a nail, but I was late to work and Jimmy had it fixed immediately for the best price I’ve ever paid (I believe it was $25 with tax). After a recent move to Los Angeles and a 2k mile drive later, finding this shop in my neighborhood that was willing to help me, felt great!But then, fast forward a month, I find myself with a car that won’t start, stuck all the way across town. I made the major mistake of towing my car to a Mazda dealership that charged me $165 solely to conduct a diagnostic report and provided the worst customer service I’ve ever received. Long story short, I stopped in and spoke with the new co-owner. Despite being very busy, he took ample time on two different occasions to help me troubleshoot and strategize what I should do next. Keep this shop in mind the next time you run into car trouble because they don’t charge to diagnose and will offer you honest feedback.

Almost killed me.I had a major issue with my car. It was suddenly stopping. I went here and they were like oh yeah thats fine! Go ahead and drive it! I didnt feel safe and asked for them to look again oh my internal fan was busted and the engine was shutting down to try and stop it from overheating...and the dude told me I was good to go on the 10 freeway...

Took a day longer than expected. Had no loaner cars so we had to keep renting for the extra day. Come to find out a month later someplace else after thinking hey, you know, these brakes dont actually feel much better-- they only replaced the front brakes and rotors, and the back were metal-on-metal. I was enjoying the football have at the garage (across the street) and I figured Id inquire about the cost of balancing my wheels. (Have a vibration at 65mph). The representative was very dismissive when he told me they charge $35.00 to balance each wheel. A service at which other shops will happily charge about $60.00 for all four.

Most HONEST place Ive found.My car stalled and I happened to be a 1/2 block away.I got my car to their shop. and left it there for inspection.They did not charge me a single cent. because, later, they said - my car just started

I went to this place on Sunday (10/6/2019) I only needed my belt replaced & a pulley for my power steering. They tried to tell me it was the “tensioner” not the pulley... further inspection showed it was in fact my broken belt and pulley. They completely over charged me, after my cousin & I Ubered to AutoZone to get the part (pulley). They charged me 73.00$ for a 16$ belt & 125$ for labor. Also, they didn’t NOT fix the belt properly. My uncle (he’s a mechanic) had to go back and fix what they did! Do NOT go to this shop! They will completely OVER charge you and not fix the car properly. They try to linger around and waste time so you car can stay there & they can collect the 75$ per day storage fee. BEWARE!

Very nice guys run this place and they are extremely communicative about anything thats going on with your car. They also dont tell you to do random repairs just to pad their pockets, which seems to be common from a lot of mechanics. If youre looking for people to work on your car for years to come, this is the place to go!

I had a nail in my tire and they had it out and on my way in less then 30 minutes. That is quick service. Price seemed a little steep for a simple tire repair.

I damaged my car in a late delivery Friday afternoon and I searched Google for auto repair in my area.No one else was open except a far away Chevrolet dealership.I spoke with Jimmy and set-up an early morning appointment before they opened the shop so my car could be looked at first thing.I was told that the part needs to be ordered​ and will arrive around 1 PM and my car would be ready by 5 PM Saturday evening.And it was!!!I was so happy with their service, their honesty, and their reliability.I found my new mechanic.Mark

I was bored doing a massive cleaning of the car so turned on the radio, and, surprisingly after a short while, the battery went dead. The hood was facing the garage, so there was no space for another car to pull up and connect jumper cables to.

Been coming here my whole life,besides trackspec in Fremont,this is my go-to shop, Mr.Ron and his prince got the best welding skills,after 16 times track days during the past 7 months,my rear subframe started cracking due to aggressive turns at the track and Auto X,I came here for my rear subframe this time,he welded it in a professional way,that way I dont have to get a new subframe!!!its like a new subframe now,nice and strong,like always, 4 stars!!!!!!

He was clear and upheld expectations of how long it would take to diagnose my cars situation.It even turned out nothing was wrong with the leak my car was having which I suspected was an oil leak, but turned out to be the AC unit condensating and the smell of gas being the gas tank in my trunk swelling from the heatwave.He explained the situation clearly to me and I was able to pick up my car and drive away Scott free.Theres a lot of mechanics that arent that honest and wouldve taken advantage of the situation.Id go to Fix Car Now West LA anytime something happens with my car and deal with Jimmy.

They try to work with you. I had an overall good experience. One or two times the people there had no idea what was going on my car when I should have been informed by someone else who I was talking to. I would go to them again though. They also will use aftermarket or used parts if requested.

Recently had two fluid leaks repaired, engine coolant and automatic transmission fluid. FixCarNow West repaired it in less time than scheduled, which was important to me since I had to wait. They even offered to drive me. This is the third time I have had repairs done to my Jeep at this location. There has never been a hard sell for unnecessary services like you might get at a car dealership. Nice to know you can get an honest opinion of repairs and have them done competently. Parking around the garage is sometimes hard to find, but that seems to be the norm for garages in Los Angeles. The best thing about FixCarNow is that they actually answer the telephone (unlike the dealerships) and want customers.

Folks were nice and courteous when I went in to ask for an oil change. I decided to wait for my car maintenance, but then my invoice came out to 63 dollars...for an oil change! They reacted to my shocked look with a quick drop in price to 53, which still stung as I was use to paying $35 max from other local mechanics. Said the price of oil went up, thats why it was so expensive? I paid, and went back home to call up other places for their prices just to double check, called up three competitors to check if they too raised their prices but they all quoted $30-40.I felt a little cheated afterwards, but shouldve known better to ask first.Just be sure to check what they charge, even for the small things.

I went to the one on Washington Pl, not this one but Ill rate it here since this is a chain and the one on Washington Pl still has the old shop name (AR auto services) listed on google. Looks like AR is no longer there because it was recently got bought out by Fix Car Now. Seems like the old place had good reviews, too bad its gone because I was not impressed by these Fix Car Now guysThis is your typical place where you take your car to get an oil change and they tell you a bunch of things that are supposedly wrong with your car that will cost you over $300 to fix. I asked them to look at my brakes because I could tell something was wrong and they cleaned out my rear brakes, this seem to fix the problem I was noticing, so Ill give them a couple of stars for that. But I would not go back there to change oil again. Ive had better experience with EZlube.

Came off as condescending and never got back to me after promising to keep me updated. This happened 3 times before I said forget it and went somewhere else.

We had a check engine light come on in our car. Took it into these guys because in the past they had done a decent job. Upon looking at the code they told us we had to have a random part removed that didnt have any factor in whether or not the car ran well. It was only for emissions. It cost $800. After that every time we tried to fill up our car with fuel it wouldnt start and we had to press the gas to get it to start. We took it back they claimed they fixed it and didnt charge us anything, but after we moved back east it started happening again. The only reason I didnt give them a 1 was because they at least tried to fix it for free the first time.

I dont know how to rate these guys. Ill tell you a story and you decide on there quality. I got an oil change here. The price was ok (about $120) for a synthetic change, and I did ask for a very specific type of oil. It would have been nice to get an accurate quote before hand though. Reading their website you are supposed to get a your cars fluids topped up with every oil change. The day after I had the change I went on a road trip into Utah (It was Mid November). Half way through the trip I started getting a low coolant warning light on my dash. I thought this was strange, as I had thought Fix Car Now was supposed to top it up. Regardless I topped it up, and it looked like we were all good. The next morning, the same light came on, so I put some more coolant (and water) in. That morning as we were driving towards a national park my car started to overheat. The car was toed to a garage. Total price to fix my car was $450. In fact it should have been much less because the real issue was there was a airlock inside the coolant system, rather than needing a replacement thermostat. Can’t really blame the guys who made the mistake, as I don’t think they had ever seen a BMW Z4 before and they lent us a car while making the repairs. I assumed I had somehow damaged the coolant system, and there was a leak because the levels didn’t stabilize for a few days after I lefts the garage in Utah. So I didn’t want to go back to Fix Car Now to blame them for the issues. However, once I got back my coolant has remained stable, so there can’t have been any damage to it. So it just leaves me wondering, was this a coincidence and the variation in temperature between California and Utah was the cause of the problem, or did Fix Car Now, forget or somehow incorrectly fill up my car’s coolant causing this chain of events? I’m not sure, but I’ll be going elsewhere just to make sure.

Always been a pleasant experience dealing with them. However there is this attitude that they are giving you great deals and and this whole good guy routine that is just false. The work at times it sloppy ( I found oily rags under my hood that they left) and they simply overcharge. I brought it in to have a small thing replaced (that they had already fixed) and instead of replacubg the small thing the replaced it plus the expensive thing it was attached to. I always have to ask to be shown the parts they say were broken, a good shop will show you up front. I only realized how shady they were once my husband started working on my car and showing mewhat they were doing. Maybe this is standard in auto shops but I hope there are better ones out there.

These people do not try and take advantage of you by your situation by any means. Price shop all you want around town and you will see that their prices are fair but you will most likely notice that you will never come back for the same problems.

Highly recommend, no nonsense car repair. Super helpful and understanding.
