Started out great at 1st. I like a mechanic that explains clearly, straight forward and even tells you some of the things you can do yourself & how to do it. They repaired a motor issue on 1st appt, but ignored a gasket so it caused other issues & he wont stand behind the so called warranty. Sad part it is that they are fed plenty of work from used car lots, the busier he is, the more his customer service fails. *doesnt return calls *says yes, hell get to it asap & nothing. I had a boat sit there for months & finally towed it out after he says its not worth fixing could of been told that in the 1st wk & gone back on the man I bought it from, now Im stuck with it! But I stuck with this shop. He started referring small work out to his trusted friend ca use shop was swamped, yet this friend turned out to be incompetent & worse at returning calls.My last deal was I needed an emergency rack check due a oil change screw up at *Jiffy lube. They didnt tighten a gasket (guessing) & I lost all the oil right on their lot! They fixed the issue, sent me down the road. The car not only nearly failed to stop from oil soaked brake pads, but also poured coolant out the front, which they topped off possible over fill? OR water pump? To be safe, I needed my trusted shop to check it over & advise before I drove on. Rather than JUST TELL me no time & letting me go elsewhere, he left me hanging, wasting a full day waiting on his call to squeeze it in as promised! I hate to think the reason would be $ related, but after I refused a previous repair, hes changed. (quote seemed too high & they could have pointed out that issue when they did a previous repair in same area! Rather than pay twice, we could do it at home) When I stated all the repair costs were killing me, it wasnt due to any poor money issues, it was just business. If Im over the $ value of a car from outsourcing the repairs, then its time to self perform what we can. Regardless, the owner-Tom has changed. What started out good, has ended badly & looks like Ill have to be looking into legal matters over the 1st motor repair as well as search for another shop.
