This is one of my favorite places to shop, hands down. My family enjoys the T-shirts, decor, educational items, bibles, and bookmarks! They even have cute coffee mugs. Something here for everyone, and the employees are so kind!

I LOVE Mardels as a store. We moved here from Colorado last year and I was super excited to see there was one here in Longview. I have been so disappointed however with the lack of kindness that we receive every time we go. It really feels like the workers dislike children. Every time my children are looking at books or toys there is always an employee or even a manager (the manager was the rudest of all!) that come around tsking, sighing heavily, eyeballing them, making big show about putting things EXACTLY the way they were on the shelf. The manager I mentioned was actually following us around at distance. She even went as far as to grab a miniature buggy that my two year old had found parked next to a shelf (NOT on the display shelf) right out of my two years old hands. He actually started crying. I support Mardels as a whole and buy most of our homeschool and Christian books there but I always dread coming to this store. The cashiers are stone faced, I’ve never had one person in the entire year we’ve been here, speak kindly, ask how we are doing, if we need help. Customer service is non existent unless they are huffing about me bringing children into the store. I think I just may start ordering our things online from now on :(

My husband and I had a great experience here!! There was a super sweet young lady that helped us find exactly what we were looking for, and we were able to get names put on all 5 Bibles we purchased right there in the store!! It was fast and convenient!!

I understand COVID is a concern and things and limited. But when a customer wants to come in to purchase something from one of the few places you can actually buy a BIBLE and you are closing early- dont be so rude.Hours are marked 10-8 on door with banner saying 10-6. I honestly didnt see banner at first. Asked the lady that was running the vacuum if the store was open. She looked at a co worker as if to ask and turned to me to say only for 1 minute.True Christian attitude.You didnt know why I was coming in. You didnt care.

I walked into the restroom where a lady was guarding a stall, the other one was occupied so I waited. A teen girl came out of the guarded stall and proceeded to wash her hands as her mother(?) waited with her. I walked into the stall, used the restroom, and looked up just in time to see the mother of the teen watching me wipe through the (huge) gap in the door. She didnt leave or stop watching until I said something and stood up to exit the stall. By the time I found an employee the lady was gone and I was told there was nothing they could do about it. The merchandise is good, use the restroom elsewhere.

Great book and teacher resource store

I miss the days when it was a whole Christian store and not a small hobby lobby. When it went mostly secular, the whole atmosphere changed.😢

We went looking for a movie today (8/14/2019) and as we were leaving one of the employees asked what we were looking for, I gave her the name of the movie but manager came out and said they didnt have it. He didnt even look in their system to see if they carried the movie. We have never been treated that way before at this location. All your other employees were polite. We will be glad when your Tyler Location opens.

Mardel is a great place for all your Faith Based Things and they also have arts and crafts, music, clothes etc. But the only thing that I dont like the fact that they dont have a BC Burner anymore. Other than that, its a great store. Thanks For Reading 😀

We first discovered Mardel here in Longview. We are glad we found out about them. Each visit here was just enjoyable and we found so many great deals, from books to home decor, to clothing, and other items. We also get good yearly planners from here. They have a cool app where you can keep up with their latest store ads and also avail of a coupon.

Good store with friendly staff. We only come here occasionally but have never had any problems. We were using their laminator the last visit for a homemade Christmas present and everything worked well and the staff were very friendly as they helped us figure out how to use it.

Good place to locate Christan items. I dont like as much since they remodel. It took that atmosphere away. I dont want to stay in store as long now. Just get whats needed and leave.

1st time visitor, great experience, so many selections that I didnt know was available. The have school supplies, huge bible and Christian book selection. Great home decor selection for the family. Jewelry, clothing, gift selection...from what I could see. I was in and out bc I was in a rush, I just went there for a bible, that I was able to add a name got $5 more and bday gift. Cant wait yo go back and walk down every isle next time!

Mardels is an excellent Christian book store...they have a large book section but they also have a ton of amazing items you can purchse for yourself or as for others as gifts...wall art, coffee mugs, notebooks, key chains, Willow Tree figurines, apparel and so much more! They also have a large part of the store dedicated to teachers, where they can get all kinds of supplies for their classroom!
