My Jeep needed brake work. They serviced it in May $600+ The brakes smelled bad since the service. It got to the point that it was overwhelming and a safety concern from the heat it was producing. My wife called and they said it might take some time for the smell to go away. Nope! We took it back and they thought they needed another $320+ to replace the calipers. The manager/owner wanted to argue this fact with me. Well you should have brought it back sooner. Also idiotic conversation on how brakes work. How about caring about your customers, I do everyday in my occupation. Should have fixed it right the first time. And your mistake should not cost me $320+. We are done with the typical mechanic nickel and dime. Just taking advantage of people.

Kevin has helped me with 4 of my cars, he is the best. Fix it the first time .He makes sure my kids cars are safe and running great. They can save you time by getting it done and done correctly the first time.

Recently I took my 92 Jeep to Spraggins with a cold weather starting issue, knowing it would be a challenge not having a modern computer to plug into their diagnostic machine.Tony took it in and he and his crew over a period of days considering the TX changing tempts through tests and experience figured out the cause without throwing unnecessary parts at the problem.I believe they treated my 92 like a new one despite its age and their charges where quite reasonable considering the challenge and time they invested in it.This is only the second review Ive ever written about a company and I write this with appreciation of professionalism, honesty and fair pricing. I reached out to several places for quotes on a car repair. Spraggins not only responded quickly but it was Tony (the owner) himself who called me. We discussed the issue with the vehicle and what it would most likely take to repair it. I decided to go with Spraggins and it was a decision Im glad I made. The entire staff was friendly and knowledgeable and (the best part) there were no oh we also did this while we were in there fees. Everything that was done was approved by me and they brought to my attention things that might need attention in the future. I am grateful for Tony and his team and will definitely be returning here for my future vehicle repair and maintenance needs.

I inherited my Papas 1974 Ford Bronco and Tony and his team brought it back to life. Extremely reasonable, stayed in contact with us through out the whole process about what they were doing and cost. Very reasonable price wise and trust worthy. He will be our mechanic from now on. Love that its a Christian family owned and operated business.

Spraggins is *the* place I take my car. They are friendly, helpful, inexpensive, and understanding. They dont talk down to non-car-people, and let you make your own decisions, without forcing unnecessary fixes on you.

These guys are awesome. I dropped my car off Friday evening and it was finished before noon on the following Monday. I dealt with Zack and Tony. Both are very professional. Any other shop would have charged me 3 to 4 times what Spraggins did. Do yourself a favor and take your business to these guys. You wont be disappointed.

Great service, me and my partner were transferring a from Dallas to Longview. Ironically our ambulance broke down right in front of tonys shop. This gentleman helped us to the best of his ability until our tow truck driver reached us. Honest people, good work. They honor their work. Got my daughters A/C worked on 2 years ago when it was Longview Radiator. Expansion valve went south a year later and Spraggins honored the work done by the people they bought out. A Schrader valve was leaking this year and they honored that too. Luckily I dont have to get cars repaired very often, but when I do, Ill continue to use Spraggins.

A genuinely trustworthy mechanic! Tony the owner has taken fantastic care of our company vehicles for a while now, so when my brother-n-law and I were given my great grand mothers 69 Impala we knew exactly where to take it. It had been sitting for 25+ years without running and we figured it was a long shot. He kept us up to date and had the car in good driving condition within a weeks time. The cost was vary reasonable and fair. You know your are not being taken advantage of when you deal with Spraggins auto repair. If you have any mechanical need, go there first and after speaking with them, I have no doubt you will get your work done there and be more than pleased with the job done.

Excellent service team with great customer service.The owner is your main point of contact.I recently took my truck in with an odd grinding sound to be worked on. It took them three tries to locate the cause of the issue, it was a very low intensity grinding sound that disappears when you put it on a lift, but, what stands out about Spraggins is that the owner Tony Spraggins only charged me for the repairs that fixed the issue. I walked away with a working truck with extra new parts that I did not have to pay for.Tony told me that he did this because it was the right thing to do and that when making decisions like this he looks to God to help guide him. He and his business take pride in their work and have honer, an all to rare trait in the world today.I recommend this business to all my friends and to you as well.

Did not have a good experience here. I received service here in 2016, on my Honda but am leaving a review now because I had a friend quoted there recently and recalled my experience.The owner was nice Ill give them that. He dropped me off at my work place thats about a mile away on his way somewhere so I didnt have to sit all day or what on a friend to pick me up. Thats where the good stopped.Was quoted around $450 to replace ONE OF my fans for the cooling system since it went out. I was still fairly new to Longview and they had decent reviews so I didnt think much about it. Had a friend warn me that it feels like far too much to be charged that much to replace the fan, but I was in a time crunch and more affordable shops I trusted had a week or more wait.Dropped my car off. Owner said it would be ready in less than a day. Great! No, it was not ready and I had to keep calling back. Finally go to pick it up days later (mind you, this shop is not busy like Automotive SuperCenter so Im not sure what the hold up was). I do a check, pay the rest and everything seems fine.Later that day I notice smoking from under the hood and called the owner. He said its just condensation from when they replace the liquids and the vehicle is acclimating to it. Huh? Didnt make sense but I also didnt have time to go back before they closed.Fast forward to the next day. My car overheats! I pull over, pop the hood and see that my radiator is cracked. To make matters worse, THEY PUT THE WRONG CAP ON THE RADIATOR. They squished an oversized cap on there! They also left their tools under the hood that I didnt notice before. Careless. His sons worked on my car so I dont know what that says about their attention to detail.I call, tell him all of this and drive the vehicle there with the help of a friend. Get there, they chuckle about the tools being left (I was not in the mood for that kind of laughing), then he quoted me an additional $350-$450 to replace the radiator! This could have been avoided if you didnt put the wrong size cap on!Needless to say, I did NOT use them to fix my radiator. Had it towed to a machanic I knew, told him about the experience, and he said I wish you would have contacted me first because I would have told you not to go there. I went and bought a new radiator ($75) and he fixed it on the house.You live and you learn. Fool me once thats for sure.

Quality work and customer service

After going to another local shop and being told I had bearings going out in my engine and that I needed a new car. A friend of mine told me about Spraggins and told me to get a second opinion. I called and spoke with Zach who was very friendly and profesional, just like the rest of the guys there. He payed close attention to what I said I was expierencing with my car and discussed each thing with me then told me to bring it in and they would check it out as soon as they could. The next day I received a call about what was going on. Thankfully there wasnt anything wrong with the engine at all!Harmonic Balancer, water pump, idler pulley, purge solenoid, starter and belt needed replaced. It is crazy becuase the parts replaced seem so random, but after detailed explanation about the problems with each part I completely understood. Not only did they do amazing work in a timely manner, they went the extra mile to ensure there wasnt any internal problems with the engine. They checked the end play on my crank shaft so they could tell if the bearings were going out and the reading they got was within specs.My car hasnt ever run this good!!!Monday Im bringing in my Tahoe to have some issues checked on it!-NMC
