Classy Coachworks used to be an extremely reputable auto body shop that always left our vehicles in better condition than when we dropped them off. The old owner (Dan) had an eye for perfection and was always so kind. We have recommended this shop to multiple family/friends and have been repeat customers for nearly 10 years. However, now that Classy Coachworks changed hands to new ownership, I would not recommend anyone step foot into this shop. We dropped our 2015 Ram Longhorn 2500 off on November 30, 2020 for a comprehensive claim after being hit by a deer. The claim was mainly for body work and painting of the passenger side of the truck. We called weekly to get progress updates and after 4 weeks we were told that the truck was going in to be painted and that we could pick it up the first week of January. On Saturday, January 2nd (yes the day of the huge rain/wind storm of 2021), we received a phone call from state patrol asking if we were the owners of a 2015 Dodge Ram and that it had been lodged in the Industrial Way slough. At first we were were like no must be a mistake our truck is at the shop being fixed. Come to find out that it was in fact our truck and that the owner of Classy Coachworks was the individual driving it. Monday morning we were at the tow yard to see the damage to the truck and could not believe the state that it was in. The truck had no grille, no passenger side door handles, windows, mirror, or interior paneling, no bumper, no tailgate, and no rear license plate. The key to the truck was also missing. You may ask, why was your truck being driven in the pouring down rain on a Saturday night, while only partially assembled? We can only speculate on that front.. Now, we have yet to receive a phone call from the owner shop to try and rectify the situation and the owner avoided all calls from our insurance company trying to get his insurance, until state patrol intervened. We did receive a phone call from the receptionist and were told that our truck had been in an incident and that they would pay for towing. Moral of the story, extremely unprofessional, extremely unethical way to do business, and sad that this is a business in our community.
