Well worth the drive to Longmont! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. We had family in town and were putting together a charcuterie board and were looking for some cheeses we thought would be a challenge to find but they were no problem for the Cheese Importers and their giant walk-in cheese room! Outside of the refrigerated cheese room, the store is also filled with many many other local and imported gourmet food items and treats including fresh baked items. Enjoy the drive and then enjoy your visit to this unique store.
Great place! All sorts of cheeses, candy, crackers and knick knacks. They have locally made products as well.
What a store for people that love cheese and cured meats! The best
It was like a taste of Paris or a world market with all its exotic product to behold. The cheese room alone made it worth the trip as it was filled to the brim with local cheeses and cheeses from all over the world. We were in search of a cheese that we could not find anywhere else for quite a few months now and of course they had it at a very reasonable price. Glad this place exists will come to visit soon again.
This store is a gem. You can get European food items youve been looking for or curious to try as well as decorative accessories. Its an ideal stop for a hostess gift. The walk in cheese refrigerator is spectacular and everything is priced fairly. At the moment the Cafe is closed due to Covid. When open, the store is an ideal lunch spot.
This place is amazing! The decor and overall ambiance transports you to Paris as soon as you walk in. They offer food, coffee, and cocktails but also have an amazing selection of miscellaneous items from spices and chocolates to dishes and decor. But their greatest feat is their cheese selection. They have the largest cheese assortment that Ive ever seen in my life. Honestly they should try to get a Guinness Book of World Records for their assortment. The cheese is organized by country and they have almost every cheese imaginable (if not every cheese). The whole thing is in a refrigerated room so dress warm
Fantastic selection of gourmet cheeses, spreads, and condiments. They have imported pastas and sauces a well. A fun place to shop. They usually have a bistro, but it wasnt open.
Love this place. Cant wait for Cafe reopen!
You want a great selection of cheeses, this is the spot. Spent WAY too much money here
My absolute favorite restaurant in Longmont. Hoping and praying the bistro is able to open again soon, as their food is outstanding and I just love coming here with my friends and family- especially love to being out-of-towners. Their cheese room is absolutely amazing and they have the cutest unique little shop that takes you straight to Europe. Please support them so they are able to open the bistro.. we cant afford to lose this gem! ❤️
Food was good, I actually was expecting more based on all of the comments I got from people Ive know who have eaten here. I dont think I would eat here again. I do love the shop side of this place, great unique gift items. I would also buy some cheese and other goodies they offer in the cooler. Check this one of a kind place out.
Always a great trip. They import a little bit of everything so the choices are always pretty good. Theyll even special order things for you if you want. The in-house diner is closed due to covid but the store and cheese fridge are just like they always have been (except no free samples anymore). Expect to pay > $100 for a shopping trip but you wont be disappointed. Note: the major grocery stores carry brie and some specialty cheeses now for cheaper so shop here for the hard-to-find items and get your brie at Safeway or king soopers.
Wonderful store!! Walk-in Cheese Fridge! Great selection and helpful staff! I love coming here even if its just to browse. I bring all visitors as well!
Very cool place! A great variety of cheeses, sauces, pastas, oils. First time there and will definitely return!
Cheese Importers may be the first place I recommend any visitor to check out in Longmont. It has everything cheese and cheese related activities you could ever want in addition to a extremely well curated selection of cooking wares. I cant wait for the bistro to re-open. So blessed to have this store in my backyard.
I cannot resist stopping here anytime I am in Longmont. Always a joy. It would literally take several hours to see everything. Dont miss it. I would love to see the bistro and bar re-open and life would be complete.
The food was amazing! We ordered the Avocado Toast, Raclette, Quiche Lorraine and Cheese Plate with Fruit. Everything was spectacular. They also have large selection of wine to pair with your cheese. They have a wonderful gift shop full of awesome snacks and cheese accompaniments, as well kitchen and home decor. Back in a refrigerated room, they have a wide selection of cheeses and samples to try! Will definitely make the trip to come again, a wonderful place to visit.
Picked up several great cheeses from across the US and the world, all for a fun Friday night party with family. Also a great place to gift shop for those who like the French and European motif
Wonderful store. Full of kitchen related treasures and amazing cheeses, olives, salamis from Europe and local. Love this store.
This is a very unique meat and cheese ring and gift store so many different cheeses and meats to choose from wine selection is great
LOVE this store!Whether I am purchasing cheeses or other specialty foods, buying kitchen supplies like dishes, linens, cloth shopping bags or other items, or if I am simply there for a tasty lunch — upstairs, downstairs or outside — the experience is always exciting and memorable. What a treat to have this store in Longmont!
I’d give 6 ⭐️s if i could. What a special place. First I all everyone who works here is super friendly and helpful 👍. Then there is a bistro, a cafe, a wine bar.....and a ‘walk in’ cheese cooler. Don’t think tiny ‘walk in cooler’ think Huge room full of cheese from literally everywhere. Out side the cooler are amazing amounts of housewares, textiles, fine foods, and all sorts of things you must have. Plan on spending a few hours here 👍
My kind of heaven! Amazing cheeses, butter and delicious accompaniments. Hope the restaurant is open again soon.
Best place I found to get all your cheesy needs and anything French including cookware wine and other drinks and candies theres also even some British stuff.
The variety of imported and specialty food and gifts is amazing. It’s an unexpected find in Longmont by train tracks, but it’s like going to another country. The restaurant served very tasty food, coffee, wine, and pastries. Hopefully one day it will open up again. Still a fun place to check out.
Great selection. Fun place to visit.
If you like cheese, don’t miss this spot!
On a scale of 1-10, this is a 12**, the best French food available without a visa. I opted for the Bistro Special which includes The French Onion soup, a spiritual experience, a small salad, and your choice of red or white wine. Our party also shared a fruit and cheese plate. This includes three cheeses, sliced fruit and a selection of dried fruits and almonds It sent us promptly to the Cheese shop to carry home slices of our newly discovered dairy treasures. The sandwich selection was novel and the Ham and Gruyere was satisfying for even a large appetite. Dont skip dessert! I highly recommend the Raspberry Fraggipagne, Eclairs, or the Almond Croissant!
One of my favorite places in town. Very unique store for people hard to shop for.
Lots of different cheeses. But not what I expected. Has lots of different things to see.
Just about every time we go to Longmont we stop at this place. If you love cheese (awesome refrigerated walk-in cooler), unique things, deserts and sitting on a patio in the sun having a cold one...dont miss visiting the Cheese Importers. You have to try the macaroons for sure. Seating inside and upstairs for breakfast or lunch. Good food and fun atmosphere.
The only thing better than a building full of books is a building full of cheese!I love the new location, so much bigger than the old location and the old building gives the place a nice feel to it. You can get a lot more than cheese here, they also carry kitchenware, cookbooks, dessert items, jams, breads, and of course everything you need to present your cheeses in style. They also have their own cafe style restaurant and bar.One of my favorite places in Longmont.
Wonderful array of unusual items. Unique wines, and tons of cheese varieties. Really fun.
Amazing place for amazing cheeses l, baguette and treats 😋.
Love this place. Fabulous cheese selection. Unique environment. Miss the Cafe- due to COVID. Still worth a visit.
So much fun packed into a lovely little venue. Cant wait for the French bar to be opened again. I always come out of this joint happy.
This is a lovely, lovely place to visit whether you choose to eat here or not. The staff remains polite, charming, and friendly each time I visit. Reservations are recommended if youre staying for dinner on Friday or Saturday night. In the summer, they have a jazz band playing on each of those nights. The entire establishment drips with charm, including the flower garden in front of the building and the patio out back. The food is hit or miss: The lima bean vegetable soup was comparable to something from a can. The side salad is a simple mix of baby greens with shaved carrots and a few cherry tomatoes. The amount of dressing is perfect and tasty but its nothing to rave about. The goat cheese appetizer satisfied our table and the portion was ample. The Raclette crepe was a bit dry. It was served with a ramekin of mustard but it still cried for something else. The crepe contained Raclette cheese along with potatoes, caramelized onions and arugula. I wished I had ordered the Croque Monsieur which one rave reviews from two of us. The Haloumi burger was good but the cheese was a bit much. It was a huge chunk of cheese that looked like a slab of tofu. Again, it was good but I think half as much would satisfy. The avocado toast was delicious and we would definitely order that again. The rose lemonade was unique and not overly sweet but the rose flavor over-powered. We cut it with water and shared it. The rose wine from Provence proved to be so good that my husband ordered a second glass. The elderflower cocktail was creative and tasty but a little goes a long way due to the nature of its sweetness. During one visit, the waitress did not write anything down which proved to be a forgetful experience for her. I did not remind her of what we ordered and was glad I was not charged. The star for me was the lavender mocha. I ordered it with coconut milk. It was neither too sweet nor overpowering on the lavender or chocolate. A perfect balance really. You have to ask all the questions: Twice I was asked if I preferred 2% or whole milk. I wouldnt have known they had alternative milk choices if I didnt inquire. They also dont divulge the soup du jour. Dont forget to grab a handled shopping basket because they offer wonderful delights on both levels. There is additional seating upstairs and on patio but table service may not be available upstairs so please inquire. And of course, you MUST go into the cheese cooler. There is much more in there than just cheese! Jackets are provided outside the cooler on hooks.
Dont be fooled by the name of this shop! Although there is an incredible refrigerated room loaded with cheeses and meats...the rest of the place is a fantastic gift shop! Lots of French and Italian related gifts, tea towela, totes, tins, soaps, candies, chocolate and so much more. The place is FILLED with amazing gift ideas, worth the trip(and cheaper then plane fare to France!)
OMG! A foodies/cooks dream come true! Pots, pans, cooking utensils, kitchen linens, gadgets . . . And then theres the food 😋. Wonderful cheeses both domestic and imported in flavors to tempt every palate, but also imported pasta, biscotti, shortbread, jams and preserves. Cant list all here. Go and check it out! BTW, the day we were there, they had chocolate croissants still warm from the oven - the best my husband said he ever had (me too).
Fantastic place!! Great decor, great food, always spend a lot there cause everything is so cute!
This place is great fun. All the greatness is on the inside. Looking for new cheese flavors or just some interesting ones to try, stop in you wont be disappointed! Their refrigerated section is great with so many things you didnt know you needed. French versions of books like Madeline in Paris are upstairs alongside aprons, linen napkins, and other cute little things. Oh and the food, well its great French food with small enough portions, the best tiramisu (sp?)youre likely to taste. Coffee is good too! Female owned is a plus.
Everything cheese. Large walk in cooler, a café, home goods and art. Definitely worth a gander. All customers required to wear a mask regardless of vaccination
I love this shop. So many great cheeses from around the world and lots of other products that are great as well, like the cured meats and chocolate options. The employees are always super friendly and helpful. Great place!
A bit $$$ but you find imported cheese, cured meats and more. For people who recently moved from southern Europe to Colorado. This place is a must.
You can get literally everything you need for an amazing charcuterie board here (even the serving platter). The cheese selection is insane. I love this store so much. They also have hob nobs. Hob nobs are english biscuits and the best cookies in the world.
Love the variety of cheeses, jams and olives in their walk in cooler area (wear a coat, even in the summer, its awfully cold in there), and they carry the best cheese cake. I miss the cafe being open, but still a lovely place to visit.
What a cute shop! Definitely worth visiting. A diverse selection of imported cheeses, mustards, jellies, olives, and so so much more. Really love the wine section and the collection of items for purchase. Staff were friendly too! Great experience.
Amazing French European selection of cheeses, kitchenware and diningware and more. The Baquette they sell is best in Denver metro! Best as in most close to buying it in 🇵🇾
Dangerous! Drove 180 miles and spent several hundred dollars here. Started going here 20+ years ago (at the old location). Yummy for my tummy
Everything for the European gourmet from imported cheeses, meats, snacks and sweets. The bistro is still closed due to covid but they are hoping to open soon.
This place is so beautifully set up with an amazing variety of gifts, kitchen gadgets and decor! And oooooohhhhhhh the cheese! A whole room of cheese! Need I say More! Cant wait for the Bistro to open!
Was there to work on A/C units first time there I would go back nice friendly staff
What a cool store! Loved browsing all of the items and came home with some yummy treats. Cant wait to go back and try the bistro when it reopens.
Spot is great for lunch and a fun cheese sampling. Hope they re-open soon as this was one of the best local lunches...
I left the are for a good while and came back to find their new location - AND I LOVE IT. I cant wait to come back after Covid. Hoping to see this business thrive for a long time. They have an amazing selection of cheeses and snacks, and everyone here is always so lovely.
A true local gem, Cheese Importers is a regional favorite. The cheese cooler is truly a must-see marvel - so many delicious varieties of cheese displayed in row upon row of (chilly) delight! They also have a great selection of many other food items, gifts, and kitchen essentials.
Great Selection, i like the decor and ambiance. Nice for a light lunch or to pick up some fine meats/cheeses. Thank you Madam!
Great cheese selection. A fun store with tons of European products.
Absolutely Fabulous! Good eats, good beverages, friendly, clean, comfortable. They may be a little pricy but it is well worth it. It has become a favorite of mine.
What a jewel of Longmont. A tiny slice of Paris with a walk in cooler full of amazing award winning cheeses you won’t find anywhere else. Bring your coat!
The ultimate gift shop. High end cheese shopping. Cant wait until the Bistro is back open.
Very Frenchy restaurants with shops to get knick knacks. Tons of cheeses and Salamis and many more things to choose from. Great place to bring out-of-town guests to. Live music played while having dinner was a nice added atmosphere
Fun and funky but well executed French style cafe and gourmet store. Truly good selection of cheese. A fun weekend lunch spot.
Sweet place with good tea. So artistically decorated! I love the cheese refrigerated area. They offer all kinds of specialty delicacies.
Tons of cheese and other delicious treats.
Great hidden little shop. Fantastic selection of gourmet cheeses and cool stuff
Like walking into another country - delightful and thorough array of gifts and gourmet foods.
Amazing store with extensive cheese selection
Amazing every time I go. love this place!!
Fantastic selection of cheese and kitchen gifts...unique and amazing
A LOT VARIETIES & VERY HELPFUL
Tremendous selection of cheese in a walk in cooler.
Great desert! The oatmeal cake is fabulous
I cant put into words all the things I love about Cheese Importers. My best friend lives in Longmont so during the two days I was visiting from Canada one of the things she insisted that we do was go to cheese Importers I had no idea what to expect.I was so pleasantly surprised by the adorable cafe, it looks so Parisian. The food options were all so lovely. I got an amazing sandwich, we ordered some other treats as well and the French onion soup was sooo good. The best thing was an oatmeal cake I think it was called. Oh man. Never tasted anything like it! Amazing. After our meal, which we ate in an adorable section of the eclectic store, we put coats on (provided) and went into a cheese room! So cool! The cheese options were stunning. There were many samples as well.Theyve also got a lovely patio and rooms and rooms of gorgeous items for sale, all displayed in the most pretty ways possible. If you are ever anywhere near Longmont, make your way to this hidden Gem. It is quite possibly one of my favourite lunch places Ive visited ever!
Hmmm, underwhelmed. It was really expensive for the amount of food they gave us. And they didnt even point out which cheese and meat was which on our board. Just gave me a sheet of paper that had 3 cheeses listed but only 2 on my tray, with 3 slices of each of those cheeses. No crackers. $15? Rip off. The environment is interesting and colorful and a good effort at vintage Paris. They had some cute things in their shop.
One of the absolute best places in Longmont! Its whimsical and fun and has a modern rococo vibe to it. Perfect for after brunch shopping
Transport yourself to Paris! It’s so vibrant and fun every time. So much to see and experience. I love going with my mom to shop around and get a small bite at the cafe. I true gem of Longmont.
Impressive selection of imported goods in a very quaint store.
