The cutest little cafe and shop. They have build your own sandwiches, pie, quiche, and other food. They have a small grocery section for staples like flour and sugar, as well as beer and burritos. And they also have a cute little gift shop of local Colorado and Longmont goods.

Please do not go here if you have gluten allergies, celiac, NCGS, etc. I also dont recommend it for plant based or vegan. From my experience, this seems like a place where maybe a manager or someone else decided to add gluten-free as a gimmick, and all the staff feel burdened by it. From the second we entered, I was treated like a nuisance for selecting Gluten allergy instead of Preference - no other options. Im aware there are staffing issues everywhere, so its possible this is just a sign of the times, but the person making my sandwich couldnt have displayed more frustration, angst and just general disdain for my order. Im fairly certain the staff debated and she drew the short straw...The place is fairly disorganized. I attempted to pay 3 times and failed to do so every time. There was no clarity on whether we were supposed to pick up our orders or wait outside for them. After the rest of my family (no gluten issues) were closed to finished with their meal, I made the mistake of walking in to check if maybe my sandwich was ready and I should come pick it up. To my smiling question of, Hey, hows the sandwich coming along? I received a Ugh, yeah... gluten allergy takes a lot longer to make. And that was it.Im a generous tipper, especially these days, and I love to support establishments opting to support gluten issues and provide plant based / vegan options. This is the last time I will do both here.

This is a really cool little place. I give it one star because the young ladies working behind the counter really messed up our sandwiches, which were pretty expensive at close to $10 each. I asked for a half a sandwich and got a whole one, I ordered a turkey sandwich but it had both turkey and ham which I dont eat, the so-called sourdough bread looked and tasted more like just plain white bread, and my sons sandwich didnt even have any meat in it at all! We were taking the sandwiches to go and it took so long to get them that we didnt take the time to look at them before we left.

We are so lucky to have a market like the Mountain Fountain in town! They have fresh grass-fed beef, lamb, and eggs all from local farmers, and variety of homemade delicious soups. For my family, the real highlight is the gluten-free bakery. They make pot pies and quiches that everyone loves and are all gluten-free. To top it off, they have a kind and thoughtful staff who work hard to accommodate the needs of their customers. Thank you Mountain Fountain, we appreciate you!

I have driven by this place for YEARS and never stopped. A friend asked me to go this morning and I did not regret it. You walk up to the counter and order your meal, it comes out quick. I was not expecting it to taste like something from a fancy restaurant? BUT IT DID! I had the bacon veggie quiche and a raspberry scone. I am not gluten free .... but both items were and I had no idea until after I consumed them. The best quiche I’ve found in Colorado. I am headed back tomorrow to buy an entire quiche. The scone was crispy on the top, airy and soft on the inside with fresh raspberries. It was amazing. The people that work there are kind and polite. The decor is cute, they have unique items that are made by local companies and people in the area, many would make a unique Colorado gift! I will be back. Try this place out! You won’t be disappointed !

Their sandwiches are good, and the build-your-own option makes it easy to avoid allergens/sensitivities. They also have a separate GF toaster. I wouldnt recommend the coffee, however, but they do have an assortment of alternate milks. Just a heads up that the only facilities are portapotties!

Customer service could be improved!Credit card minimum of $5. I get the reason but this is a practice from the past. When a customer asks to use the restroom, please dont say its for paying customers only. You never know how much money a customer is getting ready to spend.

Looks cute. Just wound up getting a soda though. I thought it was going to be like a malt shop. Its not even on a mountain nor a fountain. Should really call it the mountain grocery store, oh wait its not even on a mountain. The ice cream situation here is also really awkward and weird. Just saying.

A Front Range gem. Road cyclists know this place, but I think drivers just cruise by. Friendly home-town small-town sort of experience, combined with health/conscious-buyer sort of products. Hot soups (4ish), sandwich deli, ice creams, cold drink case, and on & on. GEM 💎

As a cyclist I love this place. If you live in the Boulder area, this is a good destination to ride to. They have comfy places to sit, places to put your bike, yummy food/drinks. They even have a work stand out front if you need to make an adjustment in the middle of the ride.

Delicious sandwiches made to order, they give my wife a discount because she teaches at the local elementary school, the people are very nice and the views just out back are amazing. They also brew hot fresh ozo coffee and carry some great hot sauces. The only knock is we havent quite acquired the taste for the GF treats.

Charming little place with a nice vibe, but I’ve stopped coming here. If management reads this, there are two major problems that need addressed.(1) The staff. Recently - perhaps as school is out - the staff has grown to include a lot of new faces. There are some major consistency issues now and most of these young girls don’t seem to understand food service/retail. Please don’t wipe your nose and then touch my food. Please don’t hand me my cup by the rim. Please don’t hold my credit card while you watch me select the tip, and then return it, as if you’re satisfied with the tip you’ve been given. There are a few new girls with some major attitude issues as well, and I’ve walked out twice due to their inattention.(2) Coffee scene is atrocious. I’ve never had a good beverage here, yet I’m often suffered to endure really poor attempts at cappuccinos because of meetings here. All in all, I have decided to stop coming here and I’ve scheduled meetings across the street. The staff is too inconsistent, Inexperienced, and at times off putting. I’ll probably return once the staff shrinks back to the full time crew, who all do a very nice job.
