Stay far away from this U-Haul location. They are all very disrespectful and unprofessional. Roberto (location manager) is unsympathetic and rude. We had the worst experience right after driving off with a 26ft truck. The truck broke down on us (literally smoking out of the engine) in the middle of no where and when we called the location the staff responded with thats not our problem. We had to stay at a random motel because by the time roadside assistance came (2+ hours later) it was so late and we didnt want to risk driving a fixed vehicle at night. A/C never worked, brakes were so worn out and suspension was questionable. By the time we reached our destination we didnt feel safe driving it back. Called customer service (very nice) to have them call Roberto and close out my account just to be billed normally with zero credit or compensation. Youre better off renting a pick up truck from Hertz then to deal with incompetent workers. Never again will I use U-Haul for any future moving/storage services.
Zero starts! Absolutely horrible customer service. Zula I believe was her name, was extremely disrespectful and rude when we asked her to help us with a situation. She claimed it was not her problem and we could come back tomorrow in the morning and wait outside to speak to a manager. I am reporting to corporate as I am typing this. The level of unprofessionalism was unacceptable. Go elsewhere.
I just went to get my propane tank refilled. I have been going to this location for quite some time. Today I was told they could not refill my tank because the fitting thread sealant had turned blue indicating exposure to ammonia! Huh? I am not blaming the employee as she told me this comes from her boss. She even pointed to empty tanks left by other customers with this dangerous issue. She stated her boss told her the fitting can just break off because the alleged ammonia exposure caused corrosion.I went to Globe Propane across the street. They are experts in propane issues and they just laughed over this. They filled my tank without a problem.If you go to u-haul, or any place else, do not just leave your tank because they tell you its no good. Take it to a propane expert first. Im glad I did.
I needed a 10 truck. The uhaul on Artesia didnt have customer parking so I drove to the one on Paramount.The second place had customer parking so we started the process all over again. The checkout app wouldnt take a photo of the back of my DL, so the customer service agent hit a button and the credit card reader said please swipe your DL, but the guy said to ignore that. Like dude, why are we doing this the hard way with cameras if I can just swipe it? Eventually we got it handled. He handed me keys and pointed to the 10 truck I had just rented. Didnt go out there and look it over with me - bad start.As soon as I stepped into the cab, the visor fell off the roof into my lap. The odometer reading matched the contract, but the contract falsely claimed more gas was in the tank than did the gas gauge.I went back inside and asked for a new truck. Second truck had the same problem: contract said 7/8 tank but has gauge said 3/4. Cheats and thieves. By this time I had already wasted more time than the difference in gas was worth so I cut my losses and left.Truck ran well but the drivers door didnt close properly. Otherwise, no complaints.
Filled propane quick and easy. Third time was a charm as two other propane filling locations closer to me were not working.
The truck they rented us should have been taken off the road months ago, when I had my brother take it in for exchange they Micky moused it and sent my brother back out in it and then had the nerve to charge us full price and say something about breach of contract. Never again St this dump
Rental is easy, but surprised by the $200 eco fee when I picked up the truck in Los Angeles (after I paid for the rental online).
I reserved a trailer online one day before i needed it. When we got to the facility we waited in line. Scott who was back and forth helping out a co-wrker still managed to greet everyone and say they would be right with them. We were next and Scott helped us out. I had actually made the reservation wrong and he was honest and courteous enough to correct the error so that i didnt overpay. He has the absolute best customer service and will get you in and out of there as quick as possible with proper information. I would rent again from this location just based on Scotts friendly customer service. Thank You Scott.
Absolutely horrific. Do not use this location. I am completely astonished at the complete lack of customer service, especially on an expensive service (over $6,000).No response to phone calls, let alone the fact that their desk almost never picks up the phone so you get channeled to the call center in Arizona which can do absolutely nothing for you.The General Manager doesnt call when he says he will. Others promise call-backs and never make them.They dont have the tools onsite to handle the job that was paid for.A joke; a giant horrible joke is what this is.
I filled the truck to just over a quarter of a tank like was required, and they still charged me $10.00. They had no sympathy for the fact that the only reason I was at their location was because the Carson location reserved a truck for me that they didn’t even have! All around bad experience at both Paramount and Carson locations.
I was trying to reserve a trailer 15-20 min before closing and the worker Mark hung up so he wouldnt have to stay longer. Nice work ethic man.
VERY slow service. Only reason why I came here is because the propane place across the street from uhaul was closed. I didnt even get my propane tanks filled. I only saw 2 employees there and they didnt even aknowledge me or bother asking what I need. If you have a lot of time then come since all youll be doing is waiting for service.
Fast service and friendly employees I was in and out lickety-split.
Get there before the late rush and no problem. Be forewarned and you can avoid blaming the working guys dealing with a mad rush.
