Ordered some hot food and the price on the screens was less then the price that they rang me up as. I brought it up to the people in the deli both employees told me that I shouldnt pay attention to the advertised price on the screens because management had changed the price on the scales and the registers but not on the screens. I told them the price you are advertising has to be honored because youre advertising it. They just shrugged and told me theres nothing they can do because they dont know how to do that. I took the issue up with a manager and he told me he doesnt know how to do that. And couldnt help me. 🤦🏻‍♂️ I guess El Super just gives manager positions to anyone that will be willing to stand by the door. SMH

This place has so many fresh products. You can get fresh bread, meat, as well as lots of authentic Mexican products. Also, this place is EBT friendly.

Absolutely the best place in downtown Long Beach to get mangos, cilantro, cactus pears, and many other goodies. The place is kept clean and well-lighted. Although some of the shelves for fresh produce can be chaotic at times, Ive witnessed the staff come to clean and sanitize them as fast as they can. When they first opened at this former-Albertsons location, I thought non-Hispanic shoppers living in downtown probably wouldnt come here, and Im glad I was wrong!

Thought it was smart and final but el supers ok but on delamo and Suzanna..This S&F has what customer service is suppose to be.They are friendly,courteous and unlike most super markets these days attentive to their customer needs. If they didnt have such great people there I would be shopping elsewhere..Another big point is they are quick to open another line when needed which is rare these days...

The 5th star is missing because their Mexican food has to improve but the market has everything a Mexican market should have.

Visited 2 days ago been shopping here since it took over Albertsons at this location. This business stayed strong and caring since its opening.

Odd to begin this way, but I was very surprised with how clean everything seemed to be. The maintenance team, or whoever is designated to the stores overall cleanliness is doing an incredible job. The young woman running the cash register was very friendly as I was checking out, and the vibe is much more relaxed than other grocery stores I have been too which is always appreciated. Very nice all around!

Its a good place to buy your groceries and fresh seasonable fruits, think up moderate prices. Also, they have a surprisingly good seafood section. They have everything you need under the single door, so many choices on vegetables,fruits and verity of meats also bakery items and Birthday cakes.

I felt my skin tone was a little too dark for their services. 😔😡😟

Food and drinks here are really good. Service is good. The drinks are super refreshing and tasty. All different flavors. This is also a good place for condiments and meat. My mom and grandma love to cook so this is a go to place for them. Nice place!

I love EL SUPER...they have EVERYTHING you need. Fresh deli lunch meat and cheese, fresh cut meats, sweets even cooked hot food for a great lunch or dinner. They also have liquor.

These people who own El Super literally OPPRESS their employees when it comes to pay negotiation, and other things. Corporate is notoriously abusive. Many employee picketing events had occurred in the past 5 years.

Today is 10/24/20 at 1415. The cashier Stephanie needs to separate her feelings for African American and Hispanics. I asked her a question and she rudely told me to check the debit card machine, then she sits my money down instead of handing it to me like she handed money hand to hand to the person before me and after me. If Superior was close to me I would walk there, but this store is closer and I dont have to worry about losing my parking spot. They dont offer a variety and their veggies are not fresh. I wish the old grocery store was there.

I ended up having to spend nearly a month in this place after it locked up suddenly with the spread of Covid-19. Luckily the manager left a key to the megafreezer and I was able to gnaw on frozen chimicangas for strength. My weight was so low near the end that the weighted sensor at the door wouldnt even go off. Still seems like I had a better quaratine experience than most.

The worst customer service at the bakery and Food Court always!!! Lazy workers! They act like they are forced to work... The problem with the system is no one complains about it.

Produce looked horrible ... wasnt clean had trash and food over trash cans. Long lines and no control of how many people they had. No joke

They require mask yet sell no mask which makes no sense because they could make money at the door by selling mask to customers who forget their mask or are just simply looking to purchase one. Every business requires mask now therefore every businesses should sell them. Why not make money at the door and make more money once they get inside. Be smart not ignorant!!!

I downgraded my review from five stars to three. Because customers there are not educated in distancing and proper mask wearing. Even though they have some signs, El Super is not enforcing 6 ft distance plus correct mask wearing. They also do not sanitize the shopping carts. They give you a paper towel with some sanitizer so that you sanitize the whole shopping cart.Just as an advice to El Súper: other Grocery stores hire people to completely spray and sanitize the carts before making then available for people to use. There are commercially available spraying equipment for that purpose.

Great prices. Especially for fruits and vegtables. Dont worry if you dont read/speak Spanish. Ads and signs are in both English and Spanish. Most of the staff are bilingual.I buy here frequently for groceries and snacks. If you need to save money or buy large amounts of food, this is the place to go.
