Had breakfast here this morning. The seating inside is super limited, but the staff is super friendly and the food yummy. They have a few specials and some incredibly delicious and inventive drinks. I had a rosemary latte. So good. There is a patio too for extra sitting. Ill definitely be back!
I can’t say enough about this place, truly one of my fav places in SoCal. I have been a regular for 3+ years now and have recruited so many friends who are now equally as obsessed. The quality of the food is amazing and the staff is super kind. I live in LA and drive down to Long Beach at least 2 weekends out of the month just to eat here. That should tell you everything you need to know!Order the grain bowl, scone breakfast sandwich, ricotta cheese and lemon cake (THE BEST!!!) and the cardamom coffee. The perfect breakfast!
I flew into Long Beach and was hungry. This was suggested to me by my significant brother. He knows my taste in food. I like good food thats healthy and tasty. I had the vegetable bowl and it was wonderful. It hit the spot and was very very satisfying. The coffee was also very good. There is also a range of gluten-free options as well as normal homemade pastries.
When I forgot to write my review a few days ago I was reminded when I found my biscuit sandwich in the fridge. I warmed it up and after I took that first bite I knew I had to write a review. That biscuit, after being warmed up in a microwave, was almost as good as it was when I had it fresh!! It was crunchy on the outside and soft inside. It has a kick of spice but it was perfect, as it made what could be a boring biscuit, so full of flavor that complemented the perfectly cooked egg. I enjoyed sipping my beautifully made espresso as I savored every bite of the biscuit sandwich. I did get to sample the frittata which I will order on my next visit. I wish there was more seating because it is a tiny shop but it is worth the visit.
The women owners of Wide Eyes Open Palms are great and super friendly. I used to go during their Marina Farmer’s Market days. The cute cafe that they opened near 4th & Cherry has added so much charm to the neighborhood. I recently found out about their cheddar biscuit sandwich with goat cheese. So many amazing flavors packed into the sandwich and the scrambled eggs are soft and fluffy. I’m hooked. I usually get the dream catcher beverage and some pastries too. Highly recommend!
So happy we tried this place out for brunch while we were in the area! We got the Grain Bowl and the special - the Galette with Fried Egg. Never had a Galette before, but if thats what theyre all like then Im always going to order one. The staff was very fun and welcoming, this is a total gem of a cafe.
I absolutely love this place!Mind you I havent ever sat and and eaten there ...I only ever take my food to go, however as Im waiting I do watch and all the employees seem lovely.. Anyway, back to the food. My fav is the Vegan Bowl. Lite and always super fresh. They change up the veggies pretty regularly, which I love because its always a surprise & ALWAYS good! The gluten free/Vegan fruit bars... YUMMY! All you uber healthy folks know that it it tough finding a healthy and still satisfying something to quell your inner sugar fiend... Well these fruit bars are bomb!!! My favorite was the apricot! Seriously, I could eat here everyday...but lucky for me they are not open everyday or Id go broke!Anyway, I love this place & I just wanted to share...lol
Not that y’all need another 5 star review as you’re so beloved, but we have been coming here since they opened and adore everything about this place. The quinoa breakfast bowl is what dreams are made of, customer service on point, darling and tidy - the perfect spot for a coffee break and breakfast pick-me-up in the neighborhood. 🌈❤️✨
Knowledgeable staff with great recommendations, kudos for the milk blend! (I think it’s cashews + almond + something else). They carry coffee from Heart roasters. Most of the pastries are gluten free and vegan. Space is cozy, I wouldn’t recommended to stay if you’re planning to work on a project, the set up is more for a quick bite.
Staff was very friendly, lots of outdoor seating. Lots of vegan/gluten free options. Coffee was very good!
(Grade A+) A constant A+, the chef is a magician, thats all I should say. Service and kind hosts just make you want to order more. Wow, food here is so good, got a lot more than I could eat because I was curious. The cocotte was so good, I had to go back the next morning and took 2 people with us. Excellent coffee, the strawberry bread pudding (yumm) and apricot scone, amazing! The Ricotta and Peach on awesome Toast, good thing is available every day. The second day there was a Biscuit and eggs special, I wish was available every day. Theres a bit of a wait, but sooo worth it. You have to try it. Im going there every time Im in Long Beach.Update: I dont really like breakfast how many times can you disguise eggs bacon and potato? WEOP is different, its almost like Im eating lunch. Got a little too much as usual, everything is so good cant decide. The only bad thing was that there was no bread pudding :-( again. Got the Fritatta, it was another great thing we got to try (Ill post the picture). Thanks Angie and Kat for the great food.Update 9/2021: Havent been there since the darn pandemic. Decided were going to try to go this weekend--well its a drive from Pasadena to Long Beach just for breakfast, but Im sure its going to be worth it. Im fasting today so I can enjoy tomorrow :-)
Love this spot, second time visiting! had an amazing frittata the first time and this time I had the harvest grain bowl which has me craving it already again! Beautifully designed, fresh, local, organic food and drink. The owner/manager is lovingly taking care of the place by patiently answering patrons questions, serving and cashiering... I hope she does well enough to expand!
Favorite coffee in Los Angeles. Its one of those places worth driving to even if you live a bit further away. We tried the rosemary and cardamom brew, impossible to decide which one was tastier (sorry cant help here). Five stars also to the pastries (mmmm scones) and cafe itself. Super chill vibe and friendly baristas. If you have a big group you will probably have to sit outside as the inside is a bit cozy. For lunch I ordered the frittata and one of the daily specials. It was good, cant beat the fresh ingredients, but flavor wise not mind blowing. Would probably stick with just coffee and pastries (SO good).
Farm to table BLISS. Unique menu items, incredible pastries, wonderful staff. Always feel right at home here, and leave feeling happy and nourished. Try the fresh biscuits. OMG.
So glad I found this place! Everything was better than I expected and Ill definitely be back. The cappuccino was done perfectly and the chai latte was such a cool presentation. The frittata and shakshuka were both delicious and filling. Angie (the owner) is so knowledgeable and friendly. She helped us decide what to eat and told us about her inspiration to have amazing coffee and food together. She was right!
The food is not bad, but the price is high comparing to the type of food. Also, the atmosphere and tables are not comfy.
Cute little cafe. Had the granola, toast with ricotta and jam, matcha latte and cold brew latte (for 2). Might be pricey for the area but being from West LA it seemed reasonable. Friendly staff and quick service makes this a nice gem. They used to be at Farmers Markets only and opened a brick and mortar 5 months ago. Will be back, hope the place can handle great traffic as Im sure itll grow in popularity.
Drove out here to check out their breakfast sandwich cause I seen it in a list of best breakfast sandwiches in LA.Small lil store front you might miss off Cherry in Long Beach. At the moment Nov. 2020 they are only open from Fri - Sun.The breakfast sandwich overall was good, the main attraction is the biscuit which had alor of flavor going for it but for close to $14 I dont think the size matches the price, the sandwich was fairly small. But like I said the biscuit is what makes it.Definitely wanna come back to try other things on their menu that also look delicious!
Excellent food and service.
This place is the only reason I wake up before noon 4 days of the week. The almond butter and jam toast makes me forget what a scary place the world is. The rosemary latte is also awesome
My friend and I had a nice experience here on a Sunday afternoon.I ordered the biscuit and egg sandwich, she had the vegan grain bowl. The sandwich was nice, seasoned well, eggs cooked well, maybe a tiny bit dry but nothing worth really complaining about. I didnt try the grain bowl, but the feedback was positive. To drink we had a couple of the specialty coffees - I had the one that is meant to be like a cold brew old fashioned. It was enjoyable but lacked a bit of sweetness that is typically present in the cocktail. Small adjustment there and I think it would be awesome.Overall, experience was nice - they werent able to use just egg whites on an item, and didnt have enough biscuits to make two of the sandwiches which is a downer, but overall we enjoyed ourselves.
If youre considering going here, just do it. Earlier is always better, because everything is made fresh from scratch in small batches. Dont be mad if they sell out, be happy theyre doing well! They make the best scones Ive ever had, and thats not an exaggeration. Everything about WEOP is wonderful.
Best cafe Ive been to in LB. Fresh, delicious, quality breakfast and coffee options. Great friendly staff and service. Outdoor seating available. Simple, relaxed environment.
This place is wonderful. Lovely coffee and cold brew with unique flavors available (I had the cardamom and now wish everyplace had it). Their baked goods are also pretty great, would definitely go back next time Im in LA.
Amazing food, great ambiance (but space is tight). Staff was super friendly. Highly recommended!
Been here a handful of times now. It gets better and better! The biscuit, egg sammie that I had today was impeccable. The eggs were scrambled, but so delicate and to me, seemed like a take on a French omelette. Delicious. The coffee is great, everything they bake is great and damn, those eggs... Clearly a chef who knows what theyre doing.
Came here on the recommendation of our Air BnB hosts, and it was probably the best recommendation we have ever gotten. The people are fantastic and really passionate about what they do. The food is genuinely some of the best food I’ve ever had. I had to slow myself down because I didn’t want it to end. Everything was AMAZING! On top of that they gave us a recommendation for Austin too! Don’t miss this gem.
Everything about this place was perfection. From the customer service to the atmosphere to the latte to the excellent, quality food. Highly recommended and will frequent this spot. Thank you!
I have never been a huge coffee shop person, but I am in love with this place. So many gluten free and vegan options (from bread to sweets), and all of it is good. Their jams are home made and are crazy good (definitely try the rhubarb if you get the chance!). But above it all, you can tell the whole place is filled with love - love for the food, love for the place, and love for everyone who walks in. It is just overflowing with compassion. It’s not a cheap place to eat, but it is oh so worth every penny.
WeOp is an absolute gem in Long Beach. Their coffee and food options are always amazing and they have an incredibly friendly staff. We love coming here and their lattes are wonderful.
We Op is a great local coffee shop and breakfast / lunch cafe focused on healthy organic options.Fantastic vibe, great service. It is a place that elevates our consciousness and invites us to be united as one with another and the universe beyond our gender and culture. They provide an environment that is eco friendly and their menu is not only organic but also very health conscious. We are very picky when it comes to eating out and absolutely love this place!
This has become our go-to spot. I crave the market grain bowl, and love how the veggies change for the season. Their shrubs are DELICIOUS and also reflect whats in season. I love the rotation of roasters in their coffee lineup.Service is so awesome. All the baristas/servers are happy to answer questions about the menu.
F A B U L O U S Experience. Order their in-house Home Milk for your Latte and fall in love with every single pastries including the Vegan offerings. Cant wait to return.
I went here with a few friends and it was amazing. They are so friendly and kind and also, the shirt I bought there is one of my favorites. :) Highly, highly recommended. If you like great food, a kind vibe and delicious coffee this is an awesome spot to visit. Also, when I was there they were selling teas and tinctures made by a lady there and I finished both of them and need to go back ASAP to replenish them because they were both healing and tasty :)
Truly enjoy every time I visit. Whether taking something to go or dining in, the vibe is positive, welcoming, grateful.
Grain bowl ..... American Staple
Quaint little cafe serving organic food (complete with the new age and pagan literature in the cashier area 😅). They also deliver on doordash or something. The pastries I had were excellent. Unique flavors!
A local friend recommended this cafe. It was definitely one of the best this trip. Enjoyed a delicious biscuit egg sandwich and cappuccino.
Cute place, excellent service and fast. Food was excellent. Glad to know they strive for sustainability and offer seasonal food. Highly recommend!
Finally found a contender for mocha here on signal hill!!!
Best. Breakfast. Ever. Also their espresso is divine. Good for small parties or dining solo.
Great quality. Humble sincere vibe. Seems alternative . Little pricy
Delicious desserts, breakfast and coffee. Best of all the staffs energy and hospitality is infectious!I got a cardamom spice latte with almond milk - if its possible it reminded me of my childhood when my mom would make her espresso. Thanks for the nostalgic moments, WEOP!
Super nice staff who made us feel like regulars. Amazing coffee, scones were delicious! Atmosphere was super cute.
The food is great and the coffee is delicious. They are so polite and caring. I loved this place.
Delicious coffee and pastry (gluten free for me), excellent service, lovely personnel. Give it a try - go for brunch or lunch. High quality ingredients, made in house by skilled workers. It aint cheap, but you get what you pay for.
The biscuit and eggs with sausage or bacon went over big with my carnivorous friends and the vegan reported loving their bowl . The iced drinks were Heavenly, especially in the heat. This is a tiny gem off of retro row and well worth finding.
Its too bad I just found this place, a YEAR after opening! Small independent coffee, tea and small plate restaurant. Bar seating inside and a few tables outside. Super friendly owner, great lattes and sustainable business model. LOVE THAT!! Congrats to WEOP!
My whole family loves this place! Awesome vibes and amazing foods and caffeinated beverages! Every dish and pastry and drink is made with love and local organic ingredients from farmers markets in the area.
If I had to describe the food, the ambiance, and the staff all in one word, that word would be lovely. We were visiting from out of town and discovered this place on Yelp and were so glad we did. Try the Cocotte, it was amazing.
Excellent coffee, the food was delicious and the service friendly. The only negative is the venue is small so you can feel a bit cramped if it is crowded. If you are visiting Long Beach or live in the area, I highly recommend this place.
Good food, pretty expensive, awful coffee. Im really confused by the amount of great reviews this place has about the coffee because both times Ive been, my coffee was tiny and flavorless. I feel bad saying that but they both literally tasted like hot flavorless milk.
Today was my first time eating at this place and let me tell you, i will be coming back OMG! YASSS LISTEN they have the fresh salad that is locally grown, I mean its hard to find a great salad but this place makes there salad with love and its so simple. I mean the moment I tasted the salad I literally felt the love. What I love about this place is that its such a cute and small dinner, the owner is helpful, personable and so sweet. The coffee is amazing the BREAD! OH god FRESH, CRUNCHY, CRISPY, WARM AND JUST DELICIOUS. i just wanna say you in Long Beach stop and get some food made with love you wont regret it.
Amazing coffee! Their housemade almond milk is so creamy. Everything here is done with uttermost love and care and you can taste it. However, service is a bit slow.
Just went by last week. Main competion of my last job Rosepark Rsts. Downtown THE LBC.
Soooooo amazing. Quite possibly the best coffee Ive ever had. And the special today was so delicious I didnt finish it so I could have more later!!
Best coffee and breakfast place I think Ive ever been. Everything is made in house and you can tell there is so much integrity in all they make. Cant recommend enough.
Thanks so much for showing me the ropes the other day. I really appreciate your time and consideration that you provided me along with my friends.
I never was able to try this place when it was a pop up at the farmers market, but Im excited to see it as a store front. I went outside of my usual cold brew comfort zone and got the butter coffee. So f***ing good. Will be back to try the awesome looking food.
This is pretty close to the corner off 4th and Cherry, so be patient and youll find parking a block or two away. Its a small space, so be mindful. I came for the Matcha Honey Lattes and Pepita Pesto.Everythings fresh and you know thought was invested in the recipes. I hope they get to the point where they expand into another larger location while retaining the original on Cherry.
Came here for a Saturday morning coffee. It was rather busy but the staff were super friendly and helpful. I got the matcha latte with their homemade macadamia nut almond milk highly recommended if you are a fan of matcha. Overall cute little place for brunch and or a quick coffee stop. They have a variety of herbal tea selections which are pretty good as well.
If you want great coffee and dont mind the attitude of the owners/staff then stop on by.
Great coffee, Great Employees, And very welcoming to everyone. I recommend going here for your morning coffee/breakfast
Great people, finely crafted food and drinks, amazing community vibe! Even room for a little magic, via vision cards as order numbers. I recommend their signature DreamCatcher tea iced. Come get inspired!
Went here for my bday and Angie sang me happy birthday and put a candle in my vegan toast with almond butter and jam. What more could a chick ask for? Ive been going here since WEOP was a farmers market booth! I love their food and drinks and most of all Kat and Angie. If you havent been here yet, youre straight up missing out. Thanks for being such a great establishment and contributing to our community in such a meaningful and beautiful way!
WEOP is the perfect place to go for coffee, brunch, lunch, or dessert. I love their baking so much, and everyone there is fantastic.
The best breakfast place in Long Beach hands down. My favorites are the grain bowl and the almond cookies. They have great coffee that pairs perfectly with their food options. The seating is limited but it’s worth waiting for a seat.
This is absolutely the best coffee shop and breakfast spot in Long Beach. The food is wholesome, delicious, and beautiful. Tiny but cozy spot.
This place is changing the LGB food scene! Not only are they socially conscious, but the atmosphere is calm and loving. And the food is clean, tasty, and inventive. Many thanks WEOP!I would highly suggest the cardamom cappuccino or latte, any of the pastries, and the grain bowl.
Unbelievably tasty food and fabulously friendly staff.
Only pick up the order but is fast and easy
This is a real community-based coffee shop. Thank you to the owners for your genuine hospitality
Unique coffee options. Good teas and snacks. The vegan muffins was delicious.
Delightful and cozy! One of my most favorite places in Long Beach.
Vegan options available! Try the Grain Bowl, or Almond Butter with Jam, or give the Soup of the Day a try and a side of crispy toast. Also, you must try all the jams or marmalades!
Awesome Service Great T I love all their product Ive been using them a little over a year and I am hooked these teens do exactly what you need them to do my favorite is lavender hibiscus lavender and I love the one for men straw oh my God it saves me all the time thanks for all your great work
Very friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. I had the butter blended coffee with MCT oil and it wasnt the most tastey choice, but not surprised considering the ingredients. My friend ordered a coffee infused with a flavor I do not recall (perhaps haibiscus) and it was awesome.
Such a positive lovely place. Simple quality ingredients. The toast is craveable
Delicious breakfast. Had the market grain bowl and an americano, both of which were tasty. Small inside and a little spendy, but a nice addition to the Long Beach coffee scene.
