Not my style and probably thats why Im giving it a max of 3. It is a retro place but needs some shaping up. Coffee taste is different but in a good way. Havent tasted the food. Not all the seats are comfy and I dont think its for a trendy crowed. If you want a quiet place to sit and sip your drink then this is it.

Very spacious coffee shop with an exclusive room for open mic. Artfully decorated and super cozy. It provides distinctive tea lattes and coffee varieties. Friendly owner and competent staff. Love the free water featuring fresh mint in a mason jar, but would rather drink my coffee/tea from glass cups than disposible ones.

Sweet place! The coffee here is delicious and all of the staff are charming and welcoming. There are some very unique drinks here that other places do not have and are worth trying out. I enjoyed the friendliness of the staff and the family atmosphere. Everything you see inside was in good quality and affordably priced. Highly recommended!

I love their pumpkin spiced latte! Especially iced ! I also had their Chipotle chicken and clam chowder. Im glad they wear masks, that shows that they care for our community, Im a local and Im glad I tried this place, they seem to have a very versatile menu. Overall I like the vibe, so much to look at.

Hands down best coffee around. BUT there is only ONE electrical outlet in the entire building!!! So unfortunately, its not very feasible to do school work here. Otherwise, they have decent wifi, good food, and events evening nights.

Long time I didnt stop there. It hasnt changed it is as nice if even nicer than before. The most amazing, its after at least 6 years the owner still remembered me... it is always a pleasure to be treated in such friendly and warm welcoming... definitely deserves these 5 stars.

The iced coffees were warm. I ordered a caramel and white chocolate mocha and recieved a vanilla instead of caramel (not the end of the world). But both tasted horrible, and having them warm with watered down ice did not help. They tasted like warm flavored milk.Threw them both out, confused why this place has such great reviews. Look like it could use a deep cleaning too.

Just moved to Long Beach and I am pleased to say I have found a really great hidden treasure. I work virtual a lot so I need a place that is quiet, comfy, and has great coffee. Im talking huge areas to work, outlets easily accessible, big comfortable chairs (not tiny metal stools like most places here), and really FRIENDLY staff (which is a rare find here)! They have indoor and outdoor seating and a great menu. Something for everyone so if you are looking for your next low key, relaxing cafe this place is it.

Stopped on the way to the airport. Very funky spot. Very nice staff, coffees were big and hot. Wife and kiddo split a breakfast bagel which was also hot and fresh. If youre avoiding the Buck of Stars like we are, highly recommended! Look at the photo that I have submitted for this green salad! I am extremely impressed. That is the best and over-the-top looking green salad Ive ever seen.

Dont let the cheap furniture and sparse decor fool you. The food is remarkably good. The sandwiches really are special and flavorful. They make their bread in the store, and everything is prepared with TLC. Prices are a little more than you might pay for fast food but you dont mind because you are eating a quality product. They certainly could charge more if they adopted a classier image, but thats the trade-off. Try it out for lunch one afternoon. You wont be disappointed.

When we got our food everything was alright. The Italian sandwich was pretty good and brings some chips. What was not so good were the drinks. They lacked flavor and were expensive. My sister also found a piece of plastic inside her sandwich which she could have swallowed. They also dropped half of her croissant.

Really friendly helpful staff excellent filter coffee a roast of the day from Orange County. I get white turtle on the rocks, awesome taste. People queue for ever here so you would think it should be mind blowingly good. Runs on where it is and reputation and the coffee was absolutely excellent and worth waiting.. Definitely highly recommended 👍🏻😎

Great local shop for coffee and a sandwich. I was still on East coast time and needed a place to wait for the world to wake up. The shop like their coffee has a good flavor. Patrons came in and played the open piano. It seems the shop has held its place for some time. Plenty to converse about, or you can just sit quietly and contemplate what it all means.

One of my wifes and I favorite Long Beach coffee shops. Nice and cozy, nice staff, good options. Normally we only have coffee here but its always good. Favorite here is enjoying a good game of chess towards the back or the comfy couches. Please dont expect Starbucks service because this is more for people who want to sit down and enjoy some coffee, and relax. Love it, dont change🖒

I usually love this place but I saw someone making food without a mask on so I walked out immediately.

I love Royal Cup. Their sandwiches and salads are delicious and they have so many unique gourmet items. I love the eggplantation sandwhich with chicken or the culture shock sandwhich. Their dirty chai is also really good.

Asked for an orange juice and an iced tea, was given a watered down coffee and unsweetened orange pulp. id understand if it was because of a mix up due to several orders being placed at once, but there were no other customers in the cafe. they just seem like they dont really give a damn :/

Food and coffee are good, and the workers are nice. Service can be slow, especially when phone orders for pickup come in. Seating is comfortable. Some nice art by locals is featured, but the work doesnt change much, or ever.

Id driven by here hundreds of times and was pleasantly surprised when I finally walked in. Super cool vibe. Kinda dark and lots of cool art work and employees. Want to go back when Im not alone.I came in for a cup of decaf, to kill some time while my car was being serviced. I also ordered a green salad.

Unusual and delicious panini flavors like a chicken peanut curry sandwich.Also been really pleased with their coffee drinks! Some are sweet, but not overly so considering the type of drink --- like the peppermint mocha.Their pumpkin latte is AMAZING. Way better than any other place Ive tried and not sickly sweet.

This spot is worth a try. They have big portions for reasonable prices. Consistently clean and with excellent mood. Will come visit again.

The staff was friendly on my visit. The death by chocolate is aptly named. Two huge slices of chocolate cake for 8 bucks! The coffee of the day was a bit weak but my girlfriend enjoyed her tea. Neat local art displays, too.

Excellent experience, great atmosphere and service, prices were very good as well. I had the clam chowder and a turkey Panini, both were excellent. I also had a delicious strawberry banana smoothie.

Loved stopping by this coffee shop before heading to the panhandle / golden gate park. A few different seating areas, including an outdoor patio. Tried their mocha and iced latte, mocha was very good and I kept getting it. Also tried their pastry, strawberry morning cake was tasty with coconut flavor.

Been coming in for years even had some good friends work here. But today i got a smoothie fairly tasty thought i paid with a 20 and when i double check i paid with a 50 when i called and asked they said they cant resolve this and said sorry cant help you.

Nearly everything on their menu is exceptional. I have never had something from here that I didnt enjoy. The decoration and furniture give the place a very home like feel and the staff are very friendly.

Cozy 4 sure, but a little too laid back for business power lunches. My guest/client was falling asleep. Then I realized he had my decaf and I had his triple espresso coffee. I was wired and he was snoring. OK, my pitch may need some extra snap. This was the second client I put to sleep this week. And that one was a strip bar! Just kidding (really Honey, honest!).

Really nice people. Food ranges from a 7/10 to an 8/10. Reasonable prices. Easily the most comfortable establishment in Long Beach, though.

Loved it. Their panninis are really good. And their smoothies are sooooo good. Had the Royal strawberry. Made with white chocolate and strawberries and stuff. $4.00 dollars for 16 oz. Do your taste buds a family dinner the extra dollar to get 24 oz. You will be glad you did. And your taste buds will thank you. The desert selection is very decedant. And one that youll want you try every one of. Trust me...its good.

A nice little breakfast and warm atmosphere here with all the cool workers and the smell of all the foods and coffee is so great. Got a little wifi online work done before I head out to conquer my day. You gotta love this place!

Loving this cafe in Long Beach! Very low key and a lot of space to lounge with friends or study or read a book.I got the Mango chutney chicken salad. The amount is generously topped with a lot of amazing deliciousness (chicken, bbq sauce, mandarin, beans, nuts, etc).I heard their coffee is really good and their paninis are a hit.Parking: street parking, not that hard to find. Make sure to read the signs.

I love this place so much. Its just a totally chill vibe. They just treat you like family and give you your space. The food and drinks are always super bomb! I recommend the Culture Shock chicken Panini with extra pesto, my usual with clam chowder and a cold chai tea.You cant go wrong with this spot. The coffee is okay, at a fairly cheap price but the manager/owner is a jerk. Rather take my money to an over priced coffee place for better customer service. We dont recommend it to any of our friends that ask. Such a shame since we live walking distance... Couldve had yourselves loyal customers but instead drove them away with your crappy attitude.

This is a great place in the East Anaheim avenue neighborhood. The quality is top notch. They have hot and iced coffee and delicious panini sandwiches that come with ruffle-like potato chips. I had my large iced coffee with 2 pumps of chocolate syrup, medium ice, and plenty of half and half and the grill cheese panini with avocado. A veritable power lunch. On Friday nights there is an open mic talent revue where local musicians perform original and cover songs to a full audience in the large back room. I was informed on my visit that they have a new Saturday evening event of a stand up comedy open mic revue show.This cafe supports the artistic creativity of the local community in a very special way and deserves customer loyalty above and beyond the common level. Very poor service and staff here. The open Mic is an absolute mess. I dont want to hear people talking I want to hear music. They need to enforce a no talking rule for musicians here.

This is a quaint little spot in the middle of Long Beach that offers more than just delicious drinks. Their paninis, sandwiches, and soups are hands down fantastic and are reasonably priced for the portion. I definitely recommend the Thai Me Up panini; its sweet, nutty, curryliscious, and filling. There is usually always an open spot somewhere to sit, but it is never empty or overcrowded. This place is incredibly homey, unique, and comfortable to frequent.

They charged me twice for one cup of watery coffee from Chiapas, Mexico. I was surprised they had this kind.I know this coffee well as purchased a 5lbs bag from amazon for $30 (great coffee) Theres wasnt so great. The flavor was mostly water.Anyway, after my purchase, they asked if Id like my receipt, I said no, then come to find out THEY CHARGED ME TWICE and now with no receipt for proof. I only have my CC statement. I will update this review upon dealing with them.Update... Been two days since I left my information with the employee -my name, date and aprox time of purchase, my tele, and the last 4 of my CC. The person there told me they would leave a note for the manager. They havent gotten got back.
