Staff is super friendly and fast there’s breakfast sandwiches and large selections of coffees too. Parking might be a bit hard but just have a little patience and to your luck like mine you can find parking right out front.

Absolutely a top bagelry. When I first moved to downtown Long Beach I was disheartened that there wasnt a good bagel place to cute my Saturday hangovers. A few months later, 5th Ave opened, and I was saved. My go-to is the Works bagel with jalapeno cream cheese. But Ive had just about every bagel here and they are all amazing. Their spreads are legit. Not flavored but have actual chunks of chive/jalapeno/strawberry/etc. Friends visiting from New York say it would fit right in on the East Coast. And if youve had too much to drink the night before, grab some of the orange juice with your bagel. It will bring you back to life.

Great bagel place for a quick bite. Food takes a bit to come out, but its not a big deal unless youre in a hurry. Overall, great atmosphere and reasonable prices for some good brunch food.

Just FYI to vegans, I asked this morning and was told none of the bagels are vegan and all have egg in the ingredients. I saw vegan folks talk about eating bagels here. The workers here don’t wear masks. They haven’t for months. If they don’t follow that health mandate, I don’t have any reason to believe they follow other ones. That seems like a big deal since they’re handling food.

5th Avenue is my all time favorite bagel shop!!! The bagels are fresh and delicious, the prices are amazing, and the service is great. Best place in Long Beach!!

My favorite thing about this place is the Vietnamese iced coffee. If you fancy yourself a coffee connoisseur and haven’t tried Vietnamese coffee, well you BETTER GET ON IT! It tastes great, and this spot gives you the most bang for your buck in the entire area. I get a huge cup of iced coffee for under $5 where most places charge $5-6 for much less. I also highly suggest the bagel sandwiches. My favorites are the prosciutto, and the turkey. The jalapeños they throw on that baby REALLY SMACK if you’re into a lil heat. Otherwise ask for it without.

Really good bagels, nice staff. I wouldn’t order the bagels and lox again, the salmon wasn’t the best IMO, but everything else so far has been good. Get there early for a good selection!!

This place is so wonderful! The environment is so welcoming and everyone working is very kind. The food and drinks are delicious. I came in here on a whim and am happy I did. I got their eggwhich with a garlic bagel and exotic excuse smoothie. Both were amazing! So give this place a try!

YUM. See below: spinach asiago bagel with the works .....velvety lox, poppin fresh onion and fat little tangy capers on a lovely schmear of cream cheese. Plus a pickle spear of course. A perfect breakfast when the bagel is warm and the cream cheese and lox are cool. Just lovely! Plus, they open at 5am. Thats dinnertime for me, and this is a great dinner.

Ive ordered from this place 3 times. The first time was good. Second time, they didnt have what I wanted, so I cancelled the order. The third time I ordered, the muffins I ordered were not fresh! They are stale like they were made a day or two ago. The chocolate chips were so old, they were already starting to get white.This place is hit-or-miss. I recommend you call ahead to see if they have the inventory available before you order and see how old items are before making your purchase. Seriously $4 for an old muffin. Disappointed.

Used to come here all the time as a fellow Long Beachian. Staff smiled, I was remembered, and it was the best experience!! Today was 3rd and final time coming with the new staff not impressed. The change of staff has definitely made it fall from its high graces. I miss the old 5th Ave, hope they fix it 😔.

Normally we have great experiences here but today we got our bagels home and realized that one of them wasnt at all what we ordered. Instead of a bagel with chive cream cheese and avocado, we got a sesame seed bagel with avocado and onions... No cream cheese. A quite unappetizing alternative for me personally.

Found this place a few weeks back and really liked the food. I pretty much get the same sandwich every week, with 2 regular bagels, and a drink every time. The price has actually increased every single week. When I first went my order was about $20, but it has slowly increased over the past two months to $35. I get that they are the only bagel shop in the area and have no competition so they can price how they want but the consistency is really disappointing. The price is inconsistent along with the quality and portions. Its really such a bummer. On top of that extreme price, they often mess up the order, forget half the order entirely, or mess up with allergy issues. And the last detail is that they dont enforce the mask mandate. I often see employees walking around and making drinks with no masks and customers constantly walk in and out without masks..... I hope they get the consistency under control tho...

Love this spot! They have a much bigger menu than I expected- its not just bagels! They do have a big selection of bagels and multiple cream cheese options which is perfect for someone who likes to try different combinations. Their smoothies are also a must! They taste so fresh and refreshing!

This place is my go to for breakfast. My boyfriend and I probably grab breakfast from here at least five times a week. Everyone is always friendly. They’re like family there!

Really disappointed in this place. The food is incredible, I will give them that, I havent had bad food there. The issue for me is the changing price, and the wait time. The first time I went, they were fast and the price was around $25 for two sandwiches, two drinks and a few bagles to go. My order hasnt really changed since my first time going, and the price has risen every time. My next visit was $28, then $30, and now $33. Not a huge difference, but noticeable. Its really sad, because its very good, but it takes you 15min to get your food and the price constantly shifts. They also dont know the difference between a dairy allergy and an egg allergy, for all of you with anaphylaxis, beware.

Wonderfully light, fresh bagels with plenty of bagel choices.also recommend the freshly squeezed orange juice and chocolate chip muffin slightly warmed, all very yummy! Staff also very helpful and pleasant.

This is a great place with a history of previous places, It’s a Grind, and before that, The A & M Deli. They have real French Vanilla and Columbian coffee here that blows Starbucks away. They have a menu with a wide variety of choices to choose from. My personal favorite is the 5th Ave sandwich on a long cheese roll with extra Lox(smoked salmon). Those little French peas(capers) are the perfect touch. They have Boars Head sandwich meats here, the best, like real pastrami, roast beef and chicken and turkey too. They also have gourmet Pesto bagels, among many other kinds too, if you are looking for just a little snack. The staff are very friendly people and will prepare your meal with special care. Enjoy. I just had a Works Bagel with Lox Cream Cheese, Onion & Tomato with a Dill pickle Spear. With a small fresh squeezed orange juice. It was heavenly refreshing on a hot summer afternoon. Both ladies who help me were very courteous & friendly.

Tasty and super busy. took 23 minutes to get my bagel with cream cheese for $4.04. a little on the pricey side and they could do better with time management as it only took 46 seconds once I reminded them about my bagel. nice selection of you get there early.most items sell out very early

Went here twice this week while on business on Long Beach. Staff was very nice and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. I can see how the wait may be long if they are busy because it looked like there were 2 people taking orders and making the food, but they were moving as fast as they could. Definately recommended!

I really really like the food here, it is so good! The bagels are authentic, tasty, fresh, I cant say enough good stuff about the food. The service counter is not so great. Ive been here many times and it is a little confusing about where you should stand when you order. Because I know what I want I stand by the cash register, but they seem to wait on people who stand in front of the bagel display. This wouldnt be so bad if it was one person, but theyve taken two and three groups before they got back to me, waiting at the cash register. The last time was just too much. To have one person taking an order, and then two more people walk right past me to take orders from others who came in after me, well, thats just not right. Its a shame, because Ive ordered for myself and for work. I dont know if I will be back.

This place is amazing! Anything you get here will become your new favorite thing to eat. The bagels are top notch. The sandwiches are excellent. The service is good, nothing super special. The fresh orange juice is very good.The place is clean and well maintained. It tends to be a little on the warm side, but if you here in the cool morning that could be a good thing.The restroom is nice and clean and for customers only. I think you need a key to use it.I have to say how awesome the bagels are again. They really are amazing and worth every penny. Their special cream cheeses are really good too. Definitely make this a destination if you are in the area!Parking is tough.There is a 2 hour free parking just east from Pine on Broadway. Its about a couple minute walk.

This is one of the best Bagelries in town. Right across from Starbucks, this place has a great number of different bagels to try. I usually go for the energy bagel. Prices are very reasonable compared to what you would get at Starbucks, and good quality coffee. Although great for breakfast, they also service lunches.

Hot pastrami on a sesame seed bagel was very good. Would definitely get it again. The jalapenos on it were extremely good

Whenever my husband and I are in Long Beach we come here. Service is great and the bagels are awesome. Tip: get here early if you like garlic bagels. They sell out fast, even on a Wednesday.

To preface, I am a daily customer, but I will no longer be. Be cautious - this restaurant is not enforcing LA Countys order to have everyone wear facemasks when entering their establishment. This morning there were two separate parties inside without coverings, and when I asked why they werent being asked to put them on, the answer kept changing. Make sure to use hand sanitizer or wash your hands if you chose to eat here.

When Im early for work I just go here to eat a quick breakfast. I usually get a veggie sandwich (the one with sprouts) on spinach asiago bagel. Its about $5.50. Theres another veggie one but like a dollar more and then only add lemon pepper on it, that I saw as a difference. Wont get that one again. Ive also had their turkey sandwich on a jalapeno roll and thats about $7. It was good. Their tea drinks are like $4 for a small and $4.50 for a large. (Something like that..) Ill be back, they have a stamp card for purchases
