I shipped a painting to my daughter. The store did an incredible job in packaging the painting to make sure it would be protected. The store manager Jose exceeded my expectations! Great store . I have been using this location for 20 + years.

AVOID THIS LOCATION!!This morning I stopped at the UPS store in Livingston. Although this is my neighborhood location the tiny parking lot and slow lines often make me regret visiting; and I will NEVER return after today’s final straw.I stopped in to return an Amazon item. The item arrived to me in a plastic mailer bag. This is the same type of bag I see available for free at every Post Office, UPS kiosk, or Fed Ed mailbox. I did not have the original mailer bag and so I simply printed the Amazon return barcode along with the label (printed on a UPS peel-sticker label) and brought the item with me. I planned to use a plastic UPS mailbag, enclose the Amazon barcode, slap on the sticker and send. I know Amazon requires a sealed return for UPS, but I had EVERYTHING required to seal the item except for the mailer and I never for a moment anticipated a problem.I politely requested the mailer bag – but the attendant told me “we don’t have those.” I clarified that I need the second day mailer bag and I’d reverse the bag and then seal it with my label. He directed me to “Jocelyn” (apparently the location manager) and she told me that the owner does not allow bags to be inverted. She told me “You can buy the mailer bag for $1.92, plus tax.” The bag she offered is identical to the ones readily available everywhere else.Even though I recognize that two dollars isn’t a lot of money, I detest this type of rigid lack of regard for customers. In fact, the treatment I encountered felt like staff held open contempt for their customers. In response I told Jocelyn that I’d obtain the bag that I needed on my own and that I would never return to the Livingston location.I went to my car and noticed another UPS store located in nearby East Hanover. (Just in front of Target, close to Costco.) I stopped by, parked (very conveniently) and spoke to a helpful clerk that knew exactly what I needed. She happily gave me the UPS mailer, and I then put the package together. I was out the door in under two minutes.Although I don’t know if the Livingston UPS Store owner specifically instructs staff to charge for mailers or not, but I am so happy to have voted with my feet in favor of the East Hanover location. The difference in customer treatment is so noticeably discernable (like day and night) that I will from now on go out of my way to use the Hanover location whenever necessary. I will also work hard to warn those in my community about the very negative experiences I’ve encountered at this UPS store location.

Bad service as everyone says. I came for an Amazon return which was advocated as no customer packaging is needed and store will pack for you. Was told at the counter for the size of the product I’ll need to bring the box. So I went to get a box and got back. Then they told me I’ll need to go back and seal the box otherwise they charge $2. I’m ok to seal the box myself but why don’t they tell me that when they told me to get a box? Paid $2 and will not come back.

Ive been to this UPS store several times to drop off Amazon returns. The process itself is simple and efficient but Im subtracting 1 star because the parking is horrid. The store is a bit small so the line can tend to build up during rush hours. The associates keep it simple with hospitality which is what I prefer cause I also dont want to be there any longer than I already have to.

Update: there is now a police report filed against this location for missing packages. Over the last month, multiple packages that this location receives on my behalf for mailbox services have gone missing. Avoid doing business here unless you are very very careful.Every time I come to this location there is always an issue. Today, their systems were down and the store could do no more than hold my pre-labeled packages for pickup later in the day. Typically I come to the store when I need a receipt confirming drop off which try could not do today. Other challenges with this location include them trying to charge $6 for a used box (it was previously taped and broken down), long lines when they only have one employee accepting customers, and an inability to accept other carriers pre-labeled packages for pick up because it’s “confusing”. While it’s less convenient, potential customers should use the East Hanover location instead. I hope the owner reads these comments and works to make changes to their business model.

AVOID this UPS store. I shipped my package for 2 day service at this UPS store, package arrived in the 3rd day. And the store owner refused to even apologize for this. They just did not admit this is their fault.

Have NEVER been treated so poorly as a customer. Rushed after work to return an Amazon package (today was the last day) — arrived to the store at 6:24 (they close at 630). Not only was the door locked with customers inside (guess they don’t mind holding customers hostage) there was an employee at the door to keep customers from entering the store. I pointed out on my phone the store should not be closed but a person at the register shouted across the store that it was after 630 and they were closed. Look, i get it. It was CLOSE to closing time but it was definitely not 630. All i needed was a simple amazon return l- scan the code and we could all move on with our lives. The employee at the door had to unlock it to let the customers out and gave me a sad look before letting me come in. The person behind the counter stormed off to the back in full sight. A very nice young girl to come up to the counter and when I asked if they were closed she gave me a defeated look and gestured to the man in the back saying he said the store was closed. She was kind enough to help me with my package and the moment I turned to leave the man was back and shouted “6:35” repeatedly at me as he followed me to the door. He proceeded to slam it and turn off all the lights shouting “6:35” and last time I checked I can still read and my phone said 6:29. I later came to find this man is the OWNER of the store who continually treats employees poorly (particularly females) and only considers their requests when they put in their notice. An overall disgusting display of customer service and a disrespect of women in general. If you go to this store (first of all - don’t) and have the displeasure of interacting with a person (won’t even call him a man) named Samir — just do yourself a favor and leave. It’s not worth the headache.

I stopped by this store to return something to Amazon. They would not allow me to use the original packaging to return the item, but instead tried to charge me $1.00 for a return envelope. I also saw a sign where they charge customers a fee to tape up their packages. I called the nearest UPS Store in East Hanover, and they said that they do not do this to their customers. Do yourself a favor and drive a few extra miles to neighboring UPS stores. This store is terrible. Do not give them your business as they try to nickle and dime you with fees and the staff is rude. The East Hanover Store took the original package and processed the return without any fees, and their staff was professional and friendly.

Often a long wait. Do not always open on time. They lost my package in December 2019, and I was promised that someone would follow up with me. Package contained important papers that I had to go to great lengths, in time, effort and expense, to reproduce, because the recipient needed the documents to be originals. No follow up from UPS Store in Livingston, and no refund. I’ve had a house account with them for years, and they only want their payment even though they never shipped the package. The tracking clearly shows that the package was lost in the store.

Went into the store early on a Friday morning to ship a package to California. I asked the person who was helping me, When will this package get there? I knew it HAD to be there by Thursday at the latest. Clerk told me possibly that night (since I was in early in day and could make the UPS pickup that day) or Monday during the day. Great! Sent package. Informed my daughter to look for package. Tuesday no sign of package and the tracking number shows the package to be delivered by end of day Friday. Totally disappointed since my daughter lives abroad and was in CA for job training and leaving Friday evening. The company she works for will accept the package and then returns the package if not claimed in 30 days. So now I wont even get this back for another month. Amanda was helpful and tried to get UPS to ship it back (they wont) but I cant help but think, that the person who initially helped me gave me such inaccurate information. If I had been told from the beginning, I would have used FedEx instead. I am beyond livid.

UPS Store Corporate Offices - Pay close attention to this location - Very disappointed about the poor service received today. I went to return two amazon packages and the front agent on this day - 8/24/2020 at 10:00 AM - took the package in a rude manner checking what was inside the package and placing the label poorly. He did not close the package as he was supposed to as per the agreement between AMAZON and UPS. Because of the lack of customer service by this UPS Store Representative, this location has been rated with 1 star.

Absolute bunch of jokers. No responsibility. No concern for people even in times of COVID-19.I had a box with a UPS sticker on and he would not accept it.Everytime I go with a box that has a sticker, I just have to drop it off. I did the same today and as a COVID-19 special, the guy at the desk said I cannot drop it off, and have to wait in a line of 10 odd people for my turn to get it scanned. I said I do not need a receipt and he insisted that I should stand in the line. Just beats me... What a bunch of people with no sense.

This UPS Store packaged up a shipment and it got LOST. They have no idea what happened to my box and they are the ones that packed it, labeled it and shipped it. When I called to inquire, they said they would put in an investigation. When I called again 7 days later, they said they would put in an investigation. I e-mailed the store and received no response. Then, I physically went into the store and they had not receive an update and had no information. Crazy! At that point, I asked for the owners information. I e-mailed the owner of the store who was very responsive and nice. But after 6 weeks, and multiple contacts with the store, there was still NO update. They were never able to locate the box they packaged and shipped out. I am absolutely devastated to lose the items in this shipment. It is really disappointing.
