I have been into the store about 5 times in the past 18 months. I have been happy with each and every interaction. All employees are kind and helpful. They have always been able to provide needed bikes and parts!
These guys are awesome time and time again.I’m not the buy a complete bike or spend $300 on gear type of shopper.They always help me regardless and have pretty thorough inventory of small parts for builder type folks.
I believe in giving credit where credit is due. I’d like to acknowledge and thank Sam, Rob, and Justin along w the rest of the gang who assisted me with warrantee work on my Trek Rail 7 and eventually replacing it with another model. Of course I paid the difference but very thankful for their can do attitude. After attempting numerous repairs, they realized this bike wasn’t going to be safe and contacted Trek.They offered all the options available from an even swap, to money back, to credit towards another bike. From the very beginning, they stated they would “take care of me” and they did! I couldn’t ask for better customer service, from the shop to sales. Glad you guys are my local dealer. Great job. 👍
Not so much a review of service but rather a review of Trek. The attached photo is my 1982 Trek 311, purchased at Livermore Cyclery when they were located on Main (April 1983). Its a bike that has taken me 1000s of miles. All original components except cables, brakes, etc. The Dupont Imron paint was replaced by a blue metal flaked powder coating. They dont build them like this any longer, but Im confident that as technology has improved, Treks commitment to quality is just as evident now as it was in 1982. Really glad to hear the old Livermore Cyclery is now Trek Bicycle Livermore.

I had them box up a bike that was not a Trek for warranty, and they did an amazing job. I forgot to remove some items from the bike and they did it for me knowing what I needed done. It was a better price than I imagined. I have not done anything with the store since the new ownership took over and I was very pleased!! Great job all the way around
On our 100 mile ride last Friday, I needed help with a tire. Id already changed it but there was an odd bump as I rode. Rob Tyson did a great job fixing the poor repair job I did. Made it through that day and the next with no more tire issues. Thank you Rob! Also, a female employee (didnt get her name) got us directions to the Dublin BART. Saved us from a lot of needless wandering. Thank you to her too! Although I dont live in the area, I have stopped at this store several times over the years and always get great service and find they are well supplied with whatever Im looking for. :)Nikki G.
Needed a larger set of mountain shoes on short notice. Not only did they have a couple sizes in stock to try from, which is rare in the current times with supply shortages, but the employees were also friendly and helpful. Got what I needed and had a great ride yesterday.
The sales associate that helped us, Armida, was absolutely fantastic. My wife and I havent owned bikes in years and we came in with pretty minimal knowledge, but with the general interest in purchasing and learning about entry level hardtail mountain bikes. In our one visit we had one of the best sales experiences ever. Armida was knowledgable, friendly, and provided a no pressure purchasing environment. She even accompanied us to our car to advise us on how to best install our new bike mount for the car. In all we spent at least an hour at the shop all the way up to close and the whole way through we were taken care of and werent rushed. I would 100% recommend this location to anyone in the market for a bike. Massive thanks to Armida for everything, we already love the bikes we brought home and we look forward to coming back for service in the future.

Knowing how hard it is to find just the right bike in these days of short supply, I was very impressed with Justins efforts in finding me the Domane SLR 7 that I wanted -- in the shop 7 days after my first phone inquiry! Chris did a great job getting me outfitted and completing the transaction. I have only had the bike for two days now and am loving it.
Chris was most helpful in my choosing of a hitch-mounted bike rack for my two e-bikes. Not only did he help pick on out, he expedited the assembly and walked me through how to use it in an hour so I could make another appointment I had the same day. Im completely impressed with the service I received and I look forward to coming back to look at the bike routes on the walls to try them out. Thank you again!

The repair and retail staff are outstanding and work closely with each other to make sure you get the best advice in making product or service selections. There is never any pressure, just a great team that really wants you to head out happy. Service itself is excellent and the prices are great. For retail the quality is excellent and right there with Amazon on price (for the quality - and I don’t have to worry about paying for a knock off)

Please note, my original review is included at the bottom of this review.While I was very disappointed with our initial experience with Trek Bicycle Livermore, they have since taken steps to make things right for us, which I greatly appreciate. I left my previous review after talking to two employees and a manager about the situation and was left feeling like they were not willing to recognize their employee did something wrong or help us remedy the situation. I figured the situation was was closed in their eyes, so felt the need to write the review to warn other potential customers.We were contacted by Trek staff last week. They informed us they had received a shipment of bicycles much earlier than expected and that they had a bike they felt would be the right size for our child. I decided to call and chat with the sales manager who called us and see what they were offering. He not only had set aside the bike, but also offered a full exchange for the bike that was too small! We went down and had our child try out the bike (made sure that a full test ride happened) and made the exchange.Overall, I am much happier with our experience now. Yes, a mistake was made, but they definitely have taken care of us and made things right. I would recommend this shop to others at this point.***************************************************************************I love shopping locally and through the pandemic, really made an effort to only buy from local businesses. When my kids outgrew their bikes due to major growth spurts over the summer, their grandparents gave us money to purchase new bikes. Christmas gift time! I was very excited to go to Trek Bicycle and see what they had. We went the weekend after Thanksgiving and thought we had a great buying experience. The sales associate was friendly, answered our questions about sizing and how long the bike should last the kids, and sold us the last two childrens bikes in the store. I was a little stressed about buying the rather expensive bikes and was reassured repeatedly that the bikes would last for a few years and could grow with the kids.Fast forward a few months. Our kids had ridden the bikes twice and we needed to get some adjustments made because it seemed like my daughters bike was not fitting her properly. When we took the bike back to Trek, we were told the bike didnt fit my daughter (too small) and that we would have to purchase her a new bike by the end of the summer. I was shocked. A five hundred dollar bike that had been purchased a few months ago was now too small? My kid had not grown enough to result in this change. I was, and still am upset and disappointed. It feels very much like the sales associate we worked with just wanted to make a quick sale and lied to us about how the bike fit.Weve talked to one sales associate and the sales manager at this point. The whole situation has been really disappointing. While the sales associate was super sympathetic and said there is now way that bike should have been sold to us, the manager was not apologetic at all and did not acknowledge that his sales person very much took advantage of us. Now we are out $500, have a bike that my daughter wont be able to use long. We do have options to fix the situation (sell the bike ourselves and attempt to get an adult sized bike), but Trek truly too no responsibility for the situation they put us in (except the very kind sales associate). I am a pretty flexible customer. Generally, as long as a company acknowledges their error, apologizes, and offers some small compensation, I am satisfied. In this case, I very much am not. We will not be doing business with this company again and will advise others of the same.
Both the products and services are excellent!!! Each team member that works there provides excellent service. They are friendly, knowledgeable and care deeply about taking care of their customers. After a recent knee surgery, I went in to discuss buying an electric bike. Sam, Andy and Justin were all so helpful. Justin reviewed all the options for electric bikes, and helped me pick one that would best meet my needs. Absolutely awesome team at this location. Justin and Co. have gone above and beyond for me when my original Powerfly 4 had issues. Inventory everywhere is limited and didnt have a direct replacement in stock, but they went out of their way to secure another bike for me from Washington that ended up being a significant upgrade. Im seriously impressed by the service, knowledge, and sincerity of the guys at this location. Just wish it were a little closer. Thanks so much guys for making everything right and making the effort.
I’ve used Livermore cycle for more the 20:years, dozen of annual service visit with never a problem. My first annual service at trek resulted in the shop not tighting the crank bolt, 4 miles out I lost the crank and hand to alk home as I did not carry a 10mm Allen wrench. Luckily this happened without any accident or injury but loosing a crank at the wrong time could have ended much worse. Of all the thing not to double / triple check. I’m now in search of a new bike service provider, if you used trek of Livermore check all the bolts after a serviceJust to follow up on trek bicycle comments, it been a week and no call, email or text just so everyone understands their concern about customer satisfaction
Weve always had good experiences at this bike shop whether it was back when it was Livermore Cyclery or now as Trek Bicycle Livermore. The staff is kind and knowledgeable, and they have a great selection of (albeit expensive) bicycles and accessories. The customer service and wide selection is what keeps us coming back.
I bought a Trek bike back when the store was Livermore Cyclery, and it came with the promise of a free tuneup after the first 100 miles or whatever. Trek will not uphold this policy even though it’s a Trek bike, they don’t take appointments on weekends, and they are booking out weeks in advance. Not impressed. I was thinking about upgrading my bike but I’ll be looking at other options while I wait three weeks for my tuneup 🙄

I received excellent help from Chris B! I explained what I wanted, and he immediately showed me what options were available. While options were limited, that was in no way the fault of Chris or Trek-Livermore. He led me through accessories for my chosen bike, and when I explained I owned something, or was going to hold off, he made sure I was set, and then moved on without any pressure. When I was unsure about the bike rack I was purchasing, he helped me get it set up and dealt with the issues as they came. Excellent service, and highly recommend.
Lots of restrictions. Gone is the old Livermore Cyclery. Replaced with a corporate entity with restrictive policies that are NOT geared towards the customer experience.But the people? Very friendly and helpful staff. Kept me informed of the service request. Very proactive in their COVID precautions. Closed on Black Friday to give them time off with their families and friends. I highly respect this as we need more large companies to look at the welfare of their employees than the the constant pursuit of profits.

Excellent service but advance appointments are required. Repairs are booked out 14 days in advance unless you just need a flat fixed and those appointments can be scheduled sooner. The guys who do the work are skilled and courteous. The managers not especially friendly but the service is well worth it.

I needed a capable trail bike before heading to the mountains for a weekend MTB excursion. I gave Livermore Trek a call and they said to swing on by and theyd take care of me...they sure did! I grabbed an awesome Roscoe 8 and 2 days later I was bombing Downieville chunk at full speed. The service was great, the people were friendly and all went smooth as silk. I look forward to bringing my bike in for service, and dealing with them again!

This is the result of the purchase of Livermore Cyclery, this is now a corporate store.So far Ive had good experiences with the staff to include, but not limited to, Jaime and Andrew. The selection is just Trek and is picked through like the rest of the bike world.My bad review comes from the experience Ive had with the manager and the clearly poor way he treats his staff in front of customers. They also lost their super pro mechanic from Livermore Cyclery days due to the young tattooed manager so Ill have to go to the other guys now.In short, come when that guy isnt there and youll have a good experience.

My 10 year old Trek frame broke at the seat post. Livermore Cycle offered to replace the frame on warranty or provide a credit toward a new bike. We opted for new. They handled the change quickly and were generous on the credit. Even got a credit for some of the recent tune up costs on the old bike. Great experience. Excellent bike shop.

Very responsive to my walk-in needs for tube replacement and add of kickstand. The shop was clean, adhering to S-i-P requirements, and knowledgable. Quick service -said theyd work it while I wait. These guys became my favorite bike shop on my first visit, and I rely on them for simple purchases all the way up to major upgrades. For example, last year I upgraded my bike with a new component set and also got my wheels rebuilt with new hubs and spokes. Always top notch, and honest and fair pricing!

The whole team at this shop is great and very knowledgeable. They are great at answering any questions and have a great focus on customer service. They have a pretty wide selection of bikes and accessories. I ended up buying a new bike + Thule rack and a few accessories from here. They are my local shop, so definitely see myself visiting them in the future for any maintenance as well as any new bikes for the family!
Trek Livermore (formerly Livermore Cyclery) same GREAT service even in this stupid time of social distancing. I scheduled an appointment, dropped off my bike and extra wheel after explaining the issue. Got an email the next day all work was done. Pick was no problem. Took the bike out a few times alternating wheels and every thing worked great. Dont know who did the work this time but it was nice to see that Hime was still there.

Best place to service your bike. These guys are pros. If you need a simple bike tune-up or a stripped fox 40 axle extracted this is the place. Cool people, very knowledgeable and they do their best to squeeze you in even when theyre busy. I have been to a dozen bike shops around the Bay Area. This is the best one with the best service. If your local bike shop sucks Id recommend traveling to this one, they wont disappoint.
What a great experience! We recently moved to Livermore and needed bikes for the whole family. Every salesperson gave us a friendly hello when we entered, and the one who helped us was incredibly patient, honest and helpful. We ended up buying three bikes that day, all within the prices we had researched online beforehand, and have gone riding as a family almost every day since. Interacting with the shop and it’s employees was wonderful from start to finish.
Scheduled a bike fit with Steve expecting some minor tweaks. Found out that there’s a lot more to a professional fit and I am super pleased with the result. Only time for a couple of short rides so far but I feel a lot more comfortable and looking forward to longer rides again. Every rider should have a bike fit from an experienced professional!
Great service! I lost a mino-link nut for my Trek and could not get a replacement unless contacting a dealer. I reached out to two shops and Livermore was the only one who helped me. They got the part quick and always kept me updated. Extremely professional and great customer service.
I just paid ~$300 for some leg warmers.... and a complete deluxe tune up and for some misc parts replacement bits on my main commuter Marin Fairfax SC5 hybrid... Im totally baffled at how Livermore Cyclery happens to employ a person that used to work in the SF factory store this bike was built in. My bike is now absolutely flawless, and actually heavy 2 more misc crank washers I think the factory forgot (after he left of course). Where is the 6 stars button? That average needs to go up to 4.9 immediately.
In light of new ownership, use to be called Livermore Cyclery, the Employees here are friendly, very knowledgeable, fast service, always going above and beyond. Bob is great and easy to work with. Same Employees that work there when it was Livermore Cyclery still work there the place is better than ever. Been there for 43 years probably be there for another 43 years best bike shop in town. Walk in and bring your bike in and check them out you won’t be disappointed. I’ve done business with him at least 30 or 40 times over the past 30 years and bought several bikes always a great experience. They recently worked on my electric scooter several times even not having a lot of experience with this specific scooter they took it all apart figured it out and only charge me 25 bucks to fix my problem Lifesavers. If there was a six star I would give them a six star

I took my daughter’s bike there on Saturday and wanted to see if they could test the brakes and check the gears, as she was taking it to college on Sunday, and although they were busy, they fixed it. I just stopped in to pick up a new tube for the bike I bought there about a year after they opened.Service is first rate and extremely friendly. They take time to discuss any problems you have and how to resolve them, whether it requires work on their part or just how to improve your cycling experience.The also have a large and diverse selection selection of new and used bikes, clothing, tools and most anything else that is biking related.

New to town and hoping to find a good neighborhood bike shop. Went in to buy a single spoke for a bike so I could fix a broken wheel at home. They asked to see the wheel to check for size. They proceeded to replace the spoke in less then 5 minutes, which I thought was great! Bike shop found! Nope.. charged me $1.50 for the spoke and $40 for the labor for a 5 min job.
