I can’t imagine why this place wouldn’t have 5 stars or closer to it. Anyway I’m a first time gun owner and was treated kind of like an idiot at another place. Truthfully I’m grateful for that because it lead me here. Sam (the owner) and Dylan could not have been friendlier. The process was extremely quick however I had a lot of questions and was there for close to 2 hours. I also had a great conversation with Sam. They could not have taken care of me any better. Will definitely come here more and you should too.

Just bought my first gun today I cant remember the gentleman who help me older male, he was great he great me as I walk in and ask me if I had something I was intrested I told him I was looking to purchase my first handgun and he suggested some at the end I chose a glock 19 ill definitely be coming back for more thank you guys you made my experience nice and painless Ive read a lot bad reviews on other guns stores I appreciate what you guys did background check application was quick and easy . Great place to get your stuff sent to and pick up! I see some bad reviews about the customer service but these guys are awesome! They might not seem as excited as Starbucks employees but your there to buy something besides coffee. Recommend these guys for sure! Quicker than almost every other place right now! But do the normal thing and call ahead of time.

Do not come here to get aftermarket sights installed on your pistol. I brought mine in to have brand new Dawson Precision sights installed on an M&P. The front sight was installed well enough but the rear was absolutely trashed. The damage was cosmetic but if I wanted my sight scratched to hell I would have installed it myself. There was slight damage to the actual dovetail on the pistol. I have had these exact sights installed on another of my pistols without any problems. Use this gunsmith at your own risk.

These guys are Prejudice. Im a Latin person and I went into this store looking for ammo. Even though the shelf where full of ammo at the time, they locked me in and said that they didnt have any ammo for me to buy. So when I went to walk out thats when I noticed that the door was locked. And I couldnt leave, thats when the one in charge Singled to the other guy thier to push the button to unlock the door. Since then I go to green mountain guns they helped me with no questions asked about race fast friendly help . I have bought 5 firearms from them since.

Great experience! Have no idea where the 1 star reviews are coming from, these are great guys that gave me a great experience. With the times we are living in buying guns have been tough. Looked around for the pitular gun i wanted, Denver Guns and Ammo had what I needed called the store to confirm and was directed to buy it on the website once that happened called back and was given a same day app. for the background check 2 days later they called me to pick it up. Handling a bunch of guns you might or might not buy roaming a showroom those days are gone for now. They walked me through what I needed to do to get the gun... did that and walked out. Dont need them to invite me over to their house for a BBQ just for them to sell me a gun and they did that to perfection. Not only do I recommend but will be back and soon.

I’ve bought several guns from them. They have good prices, but don’t expect fantastic service. The younger big guy that works there is about as unhelpful as it gets. You’re always bothering him! The others can be alright, but you’re not going to this shop for the experience, just the prices.

I seldom write reviews online but I had to with this place. I came here looking for a small easy to use handgun as I am fairly inexperienced. Sam, who I believe is the owner was incredibly rude, seemed very angry and was short with me. At one point he rolled his eyes after a question I had! Awful experience and honestly made me afraid to try another place.

Can I give zero stars?! Need to change name to Colombine gun shop... youre not in Denver..Worst gun store experience of my life... Went in there to browse around & was told by eastern European boomer that u cant just look around, dis is appointment only store... My wife & I were wiling to look around & buy some ammo but Zolhan said its by internets appointments only. They literally dont want you to spend your money on already expensive equipment. Went to Green Mountain Guns and bought a shotgun & ammo. Spent $400+ at a place that wants your hard earned $$$. Look at the other reviews of this place....

It is unbelievable how bad the customer service is here and it really shows with how the owner responds to some of these reviews; from accusing a disabled veteran for being a marijuana user to accusing reviewers of having fake accounts. It shows the extent to which he cannot take responsibility for his own actions. Whatever you do, do not support this horrible business owner.

I made two purchases through them as my FFL, both handled very professionally. On the third purchase, I called twice, each time it was Sam who answered. I requested he reach out to the seller for me. He seemed to feel that was their job. Weeks later I got the folks at Rapid Fire Bunker to send an email. Had my gun 4 days later. At much less then than I would have paid to these folks.I wont be back.

I was able to buy my pistole from here during the covid craziness. It took forever for the background check not their fault. They were helpful and friendly when the bg check was back.

Excellent prices and excellent firearm inventory, perhaps a little light on accesories. I shopped all over for my last 3 guns and each time landed right back here for the final purchase. Youll pay more at the big box stores fairly consistently, so check them out before you buy. You might save enough for a box of ammo to go with your newest piece AND support a local business at the same time.

Real attitude......and not in a good way. Walked in the store and the guy behind the counter was very annoyed that he had to get up. Asked me what I wanted. 9mm...no. 5.56...no. 223...no. Never even smiled. Not sure why he is there!

These guys always seem to have the hard-to-find pistols in stock that are in high demand. I bought my newest one here and not only were they one of the very few shops who had them in stock, they were far less expensive than the others, especially Cabelas.They made the purchase process quick and simple. They all seem to be nice and knowledgeable but one or two of them certainly dont communicate any enthusiasm or extra effort for good service so it almost feels like theyre just helping the customer because they have to. I felt a little uncomfortable, like I was a bother, while I looked at various firearms.All in all its a well-stocked and well-priced little shop though.

Bought a gun here and had an ok experience. Nothing special. Went back to later chat with the guys about some stuff not related to me buying a gun that time in particular and was blown off, literally was told that they didnt want to talk. You catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar guys

I really liked the customer service from the guys at Denver Guns and Ammo. Its a small shop but has everything you need. If they dont have it they can order something for you and usually receive it within a few days. They have great prices and a good gunsmith in house.

Always have what I need and if they don’t have it in stock, they order right away. I’ve purchased at least 3 pistols from DGAA and had an online transfer with zero hassle. 👍🏼

They guys at Denver guns and ammo were extremely helpful and professional! Reasonable prices, great customer service and excellent prices. They even fixed my Glock 19 free which had a small rock stuck in trigger safety mechanism which was an obvious concern. They did it quick and offered any other assistance. I am thoroughly impressed with this shop. Thankd guys👍👍

Decent prices on firearms. Staff rather annoyed when required to service customers. I purchased an AR, scope and mounting rings. Get home and the rings dont fit the scope and they also do not fit the gun. I have a Picatinny rail on my AR and they sold me Weaver rings. Additionally the scope I purchased was 30 mm, and the rings are 1 inch. If you want a good price on a firearm this is a good place to go, but DO NOT RELY ON THE STAFF. As the old adage goes, In God I trust, in all others verify. When you purchase something, do not leave the store until you verify.

This place is legitimate. Good selection, information was on point, and got help I needed. To address the low reviews on here, 1. Service: I have never had a problem here with background checks or customer service at all and even had an ownership transfer done without a hiccup. They are two people its simple math it will take some time. Be patient or go to Cabelas and get swindled hard while having your butt kissed so you dont notice. 2. Quality and Price: Ive purchased multiple firearms from them with zero issues and prices have all been satisfactory. Taurus pt92 for $399! All guns fired and continue to fire normally and accurately 3. Sales: I enjoy that they are not in your face 24-7 pressuring you to buy or leave like some places and I encourage the people that gave negative reviews to them citing customer service to try being more extroverted when curious as this is not a Car Dealership or a Bed Bath and Beyond. In summation I give it 5 stars and recommend it to anyone who knows that gun stores are not toy stores. I will continue to shop here and already have a couple guns picked out for future paychecks :-). For people who respect firearms, this is a great place for gun and ammo shopping. This place is a joke. Fairly good selection of firearms and accessories, but the clowns for employees are a joke. Two different occasions I went in to look around and 3 of the clown employees were sitting on their butts talking about what was going on this weekend. Not once did any of them even make a effort to ask if I was interested in looking at anything or if I needed any help. Both times were the same. Its a shame because the shop is only a 5 minute drive for me.

I went in yesterday after weeks of calling around town for an LCP Custom. They had a couple at a fair price so I bought two. Service was fast and friendly. I didnt realize a guy waiting for service behind me while I was just bsing with the staff, though. He probably waited for 5min while a guy and I talked about nonsense. Thats not good customer awareness, hence the 4 stars.They accidentally over charged me $10 on some ammo, so Ill call them about that and ding some stars if necessary.EDIT: I went back for some ammo on my way out to the range and they docked $10 off of a box for the over charge a couple months prior. I will definitely be coming here again.

The customer service was great and very knowledgeable. It doesnt look like much when you walk in, it small, but they have everything you need or they can get it. Also, they have the best prices Ive found. I did a lot of research before I purchased my SIG and they had the best price by far. Also, they dont charge all of the junk fees that many other shops charge. I recommend it to me friends often.

I originally emailed them expecting the same as those other Mile high armories or gun shops in respect to time to communicate via email to a future customer or potential customer. But, as to my surprise they responded quickly and gave me everything I needed to avoid beating around the bush.Its not rocket appliances as to why some other gun shops do this and, as you guessed it.... its to draw customers and potential customers in to more than likely make an impulse buy or build a faulty rapport and false sense of trust.NONE of these greasy, earring back daquri smelling, sales tactics are used at Denver Guns and Ammo. I emailed them over the past 2-3 weeks. Every email was responded to with 24 hours. I say 24 because, at least 1 email was sent on Sunday mid-day. I am a very indecisive person... Youd think this would drive them to inbox rot me like the other gun stores do. But, that was not the case. If youre still reading this, you might fit in with the team over there at least patience-wise.Long story short cause I just made a Hungryman tv dinner and dont want the coagulation to form on the gravy. I purchased online, went in and did the background check and was treated with the utmost respect. You wont find that at the other big stores. Drive across town to get there and realized they were by appointment only. Witch is fine. Asked guy sitting behind desk if he had the gun instock then i would make anappointment to buy it. Guy says i have nothing for you. Get out of my store now. Went to triple j and spent over $1000. Guess this shop isnt in it for customer service or making money. Shame

Sam and the boys are always very helpful. And if they dont have it in stock they can always get it in a day or two. And their prices are by far the lowest in town.

10/2016-True. I stood at the front with two employees talking. It took the older gentleman to break away from customers to ask me if I required assistance, then turned to the heaviest employee to help me. Seek the older gentleman for assistance. The younger fellas appear to be resting up for the zombie apocalypse.Prices are excellent. Selection is superb. I still like this shop.7/2015I purchased a 45ACP for Steel Challenge competition here. Several days of research on the internet and it was a break even considering transfer fees, and shipping. The savings was in the time to receive my pistol, and the opportunity to chose which of the two pistols available.6/2014I purchased an item and found the salesman to be very knowledgeable, and the price was slightly less than that of an internet purchase, and FFL transfer. I will seek any repairs or modifications here first, or consult with them prior to going elsewhere.

STAY AWAY!Told me it would be $25 for a backgound check. Charged me $75 due to me bringing in 3 lower receiver parts in the same package. You can have up to 5 on one background check. Charged me for 3 background checks and they only did 1. They got their pound of flesh and lost a new customer for being greedy

To be honest I used to pass this place up, but today changed my mind. Im going to have to visit here more often!The shop expanded, its at least got double or triple the floor space. Tons of items in stock, and tons more coming in every day. Im impressed, and Im happy to have a shop so close to home.I primarily shop for powders/primers etc locally. The prices on the primers are still a little high for my tastes, but I completely understand they spent the extra on them so that their customers had access to the components during the scare. Powders didnt seem much better, still scarce, but the shop I normally frequent only has .50 components. I walk in, see two 8lb jugs of IMR4350 and immediately pick one up. Price was fair, better than anywhere in CO, close to pre-panic prices.I wanted a CZ SP-01, they didnt have it but had a great selection of CZ firearms (Huge hint as to the knowledge of the shop owner!). I still ended up picking up a CZThen a full size PPQ caught my eye. It was actually priced below anything in stock anywhere (even slickguns) by a great amount. I realized I was maybe paying a little extra on the CZ, but due to the rarity I didnt complain and the PPQ balanced it out to being a great day.The guy he has working for him is also top notch. Looked up a few firearm prices and quoted me costs out the door at my request. Double checked if I needed help, everything.Top it off, I go to make my purchases and guess what, drivers license is expired. The owner said, dont go driving, use MY computer behind the counter and renew it here! I took him up on his offer, thats the first time I have EVER heard of that happening.Thanks guys for the great shop. I used to feel like I was getting ignored in the past but these guys are on top of it now. If you passed them up in the past, please give them a second chance. Im very impressed and will be coming back!

Mine SUCKED sam told me yesterday to call today and arrange payment on a gun, I live in alabama and he said they could ship to my FFL dealer. Well I take my time to go to the gun shop today with the money on my card to pay for gun and any shipping cost, and they were totally rude with my dealer and said they would not ship it. My dealer said the only reason they would not is that they must not have an FFL # ...Who knows... ANYWAYS THEY LIE AND ARE VERY RUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
