Have now had the encompass shower base for 6 months and it is a joy. It looks really nice in our remodeled bathroom, water drains really well, and my contractor, s installation gives us a seamless level entry. Let me preface this review by mentioning that I’m not a professional. I’m an average DIYer, with below average to average skills.When I started planning my shower, it was already down to studs. Walls were not plumb or square, and just outside of off-the-shelf shower base sizes.If you’re an average DIYer, you’ll know that designing and building a mortar based shower base is better left to professionals. After doing a lot of research, I found Encompass. Of the several companies I reached out to with questions, Encompass and as always timely with responses. That combined with their elegant designs made the decision easy for me. I ordered a custom base.This ended up solving many problems an average DIYer will experience in a shower install. Walls that aren’t plumb and alcoves that aren’t square create problems for tile and other solid surface shower walls.But I knew for certain that the base was square. So I quite literally designed the entire shower around the base. Shimming drywall when necessary to exactly fit the base (suggestion came from one of my many phone calls with Mr Sander). It was pretty smooth sailing after this most integral piece was in place.The base itself is very high quality. I wouldn’t change anything were I to do this project over again and I recommend to anyone planing a DIY shower install - start your journey right here. Someone at Compass was always available and willing to discuss my project goals with me, despite how silly my questions were at times.Stop reading this and order your custom base now with confidence.My only regret is not living closer so that I could have hired Sander and Sons to do the work. :)

Our plans for finishing our basement included a full bathroom. A friend referred me to this local outfit who offer a one-piece Corian (not plastic or fiberglass) base which they customized to my exact needs and had it ready within a couple days! Our bathroom has tile floors ... there is virtually no lip to step over. Several guests have LOVED it!

This is a great product. We have installed many of the Encompass shower bases and our customers love them. As installers, we really like the Encompass shower base because they can be used in almost any bathroom. Custom sizing gives us the ability to design the shower without limitations. The installation process is straight forward and is as easy as any other shower base on the market. The Encompass shower base is curbless and installs flush to the floor. The curbless feature makes for easy access and also looks great. After installing many of these shower bases we liked them so much that we installed three of them in our own home. Great product. Great company. We highly recommend the Encompass shower bases.

Very good quality option for a shower base. They are not cheap, but in line with their competition.
