Leasers Beware!!!In August of 2013 our company entered a lease agreement with Business World. The contract was for 60 months. In 2016 we paid off the lease agreement and asked that Business World to pick up their equipment. They informed us that they could not do so until the contract was up and we provided a written request for the end of contract and pick up. The printer was not being used, so 2 years later we did not follow through on this request (this was our 2nd mistake, the 1st one being signing the contract). Because of this they put our contract on a year lock and we are required to make monthly payments. The payments do not cover service or repairs. The repair estimate was over $1000. So we have a printer we can not use and are stuck making monthly payments. We do have the option of paying off the lease for $967, after repair (it must be in working condition) or a buyout of $1,882, but then it is our responsibility to ship the printer to the warehouse. By the way, they will not tell us where to send it until we accept the return or buyout agreement.Business World says that it is the leasing company (Great America Financial) who is responsible for the contract, but we signed the lease with Business World. I would caution anyone looking for a lease to avoid Business World, or at least have a lawyer look at the contract before you sign.
We have worked the folks at Business World for several years, and with several different products and applications. Service response has always been good. Currently Docuware is the most time consuming for support. No complaints at all! Brian has been very helpful.
