The technician was very professional. He completed the task in a timely manner. He fixed my garage door and he also changed my door seal. The service man was to arrive between 3 and 5 pm. He called at about 3:30 to say he was leaving his last job and would be arriving in about 45 minutes. He arrived right on time, and introduced himself as Brandt and immediately went to work to find the problems. He replaced the need parts, adjusted the door, checked the second door and adjusted both doors and lubed them. when finished they were working perfectly and very quiet. Quick response and good communication throughout the whole process. The “emergency hours” fee for a 7pm call was a little steep in my opinion for something that literally took five minutes from arrival to departure but I appreciate that it was taken care of immediately.

BEWARE OF THIS UNETHICAL AND UNSKILLED BUSINESSMANI had work done by this man in early July. I have had trouble from the very evening of the day I paid him. IT IS NOW NOVEMBER AND THE ISSUE IS STILL UNRESOLVED.He was hired to remove an old garage door, frame in the area where the door had been, create a wall, and install a walkthrough door.I paid him on July 10th. It rained that evening and water came under the wall(he didn’t use a seal between the concrete and the bottom wall plate). He also did not install the walkthrough door per manufacturer’s instructions(did not put one inch of caulk anywhere even though the instructions gave very specific directions about how to caulk the door) and it has leaked during every rain we have had since.The overall quality of his carpentry work is very poor. The wall he built is not on 16 inch centers so there are no 2x4s under where the exterior siding laps. There’s just too many issues to list them all.But, this business owner does not deal with you in good faith. He has ghosted for long periods of time twice and only made an attempt to stop the leaks after I gave him a bad Google review and a bad BBB report.I continue to have problems. He took no initiative in trying to resolve them. I have paid other people to try to correct his bad workmanship and it can’t be fixed. A significant amount of the work is going to have to be redone, maybe all of it.I thought the walkthrough door was defective and contacted the manufacturer about it. The manufacturer asked for a receipt or a copy of the invoice and Mr. Taylor refused to provide that to me when I requested it.HE CHARGED ME FOR MATERIALS THAT HE DID NOT BUY AND DEFINITELY DID NOT USE. (Fraud???)THE HE OFFERED TO COME GET THE DOOR AND REFUND ME THE AMOUNT HE CHARGED ME FOR THE DOOR AND THE $450 HE CHARGED TO INSTALL IT (Home Depot and Lowe’s charge $199).I TOLD HIM THE MANUFACTURER WAS GOING TO PROVIDE ME A NEW DOOR AND SUGGESTED THAT HE JUST REFUND THE COST OF INSTALLATION AND THE MATERIALS THAT HE CHARGED ME FOR THAT HE DIDN’T USE AND…AT THAT POINT HE RENEGED ON EVERYTHING HE HAD PROPOSED AND IS NOW SAYING HE ISN’T WILLING TO REFUND ANYTHING EXCEPT FOR 2 SHEETS OF PLYWOOD THAT HE CHARGED ME FOR AND DID’T USE EVEN THOUGH I HAVE SPENT $370 DOLLARS FOR OTHER CONTRACTORS TO TRY TO SEAL A DOOR HE APPARENTLY RUINED.TO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MAN. HE WILL DO POOR QUALITY WORK, HE WILL NOT CORRECT IT, HE WILL LIE TO YOU, HE WILL CHEAT YOU.HE DEFINITELY WILL NOT DEAL HONESTLY WITH YOU.

So stoked I finally have new garage doors! House was built in 1962, and so it still had (I think) the original solid metal doors from 59 years ago! I felt this was going to be a ridiculously expensive endeavour so I dodged this project for 16 years, dealing with them not locking properly, badly sealed, wood rotted, rodents, bugs, and spiders in garage. It was Kris Taylor, and The Garage Door Guy crew, that convinced me he would do the job for a reasonable amount, and with exceptional results too. The guys did not disappoint! Kris even gave me sound advice on the garage door opener, when I was gonna get a different brand than Liftmaster. Showed me in detail how it worked, in all aspects, clickers, keypad, wall switch next to entry door, and my favorite The App, so cool the Tech we have these days! Guys were so professional answered my questions, even though I felt like I might have been hanging around too much, they were totally cool! Work was done in one day, area cleaned up after job, they even took my old doors down the hill to leave for my fellow scrappers that drive through the neighborhood. Oh and btw, Kris...I told you!...Those doors were GONE before it turned dark the day you guys did the job!. My neighborhood scrappers DO NOT mess around! She assured me that everything would be fine and help was on the way.A gentleman by the name of Robbie McCann arrived to service my garage door and to say that he was a “class act” would be an understatement. I first contacted Chris, The Garage Door Guy, 2 years ago. I had a 40 year old heavy wooden double door that would no longer work because it had bowed with age. He worked around my schedule to come talk to me which I really appreciated (Im a landscaper so my hours are longer than a typical office job). He left me with metal color samples and a book so I could pick what style and color I liked. The pricing was better than I expected so I knew I would go with his company. Life being what it is, I had to put off this project for a while. Jump forward 2 years and I was ready to get a new door. I fully expected prices to go up due to cost of materials and cost of labor increases, which they did, but not unreasonably so. They were still well within my price range. Brandt came out to get measurements and talk to me about which door I wanted. He was a really nice guy who didnt mind my 3 golden retrievers asking him for attention. We went ahead and scheduled the door replacement for the following week since they had what I wanted in stock already. Angel did the installation and he was in and out very quickly. He made sure packing material and old door debris was picked up before he left and he made sure my old garage door opener worked. I know it seems like a lame thing to be excited about but having a working garage door is awesome! I no longer get soaked when I have to get kids unbuckled from carseats and haul groceries in while its raining. After more than 2 years of being unable to use my garage, its finally a usable space again. I wanted to install a 2-Post lift in my garage with a 12 1/2ft ceiling. The traditional garage door with the 8ft hangers & door opener would prevent lift operation with the garage door opened. I initially wanted a commercial roll-up style door, I called around to other companies & they refused to install a commercial door on a residence. I called The Garage Door Guy & Chris was very helpful & immediately came out to quote the job. He convinced me that I didn’t need a commercial style roll-up door, saving me $2,000 but recommended a high ceiling kit & garage door opener. He later came & installed the kit & done an amazing job, the kit provided more than enough clearance to operate my lift with the door opened or closed. I would highly recommend them.
