My timing belt broke on O street so I pushed it to Midas since it was convenient. This was on a Saturday. The employees said they would figure out was wrong. In 10 minutes I received a call it was my timing belt. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to get it fixed, sell it, etc. I asked if I could call back Monday with a decision. They were kind and said that would be fine. Monday I received a call in the morning around 7:30 am that they would have it towed if I didn’t move it by close of business. That was stressful ;) Anyway, I called back and said they could fix it (I didn’t really see another option at this point). I go to pick up my truck once it was completed. After paying (more than I was quoted) the guy tells me “it’s better for you to have your truck fixed than towed.” It was snarky and rude. I was honestly shocked by the way I was treated as a customer. This on top of what they quoted me two years ago to change my brakes (I went somewhere else) have made it clear to me that I won’t be going back to this Midas for service. They did good work but the high prices and terrible customer service are a deal breaker for me.

Great experience. Rick is the man. I have never gotten that good of service at any auto repair or service shop. He was very friendly and honest. I will recommend that Midas store to everyone.

Got online to request appointment time. Selected an afternoon time slot of something like 1:30-3:30. The next morning, manager called me and asked me if I could be there by 1:00. I work close to Midas, but knew I would probably be a little late. Any other time, they cant get to car for hours. So I drop it off. Got there at approximately 1:09. Manager asked me for my keys when I walked in and handed them off. Then he said, One more minute and I would have cancelled your appointment. I have a car out there waiting for an oil change. I explained how I had to finish up at work. Im a nurse and cant just leave cuz I have an appointment for my car.

Thank you to everyone at Midas!! This was my first experience there and not my last! I started by finding out I needed to get my oil changed the night before a vacation. Worried about being able to get it done in time. I checked the Midas website and was able to send a request quickly and easily. Got a call back that am and was scheduled at the time I needed. Then when we were there they were so nice and helpful!! And to top it off they were so FAST!! Best oil change experience ever! THANK YOU MIDAS!!

Very nice guys! We were driving through town and concerned about our breaks. They looked at the car for us and told us something we could fix but that it wasnt going to be a safety issue. We super appreciate honesty like that but they also didnt charge us anything for the time they spent on the car!

I stopped in when my car started acting up and Rick was amazing. I was expecting to have to make an appointment, but he was able to take it in right away. I left my keys there and went back to work. Within an hour, he had the problem diagnosed, fixed, and my car ready to go. Rick is my new go to guy anytime I have an issue!

We are from Missouri and were traveling through Nebraska when we broke down in Lincoln on a Saturday evening. The kind owner and staff got us in first thing Monday morning and got us back on the road before none. Not only were they extremely professional they were also very kind and went out of their way to make sure we were okay and comfortable after a very stressful weekend. They gave us a quote up front and clearly explained all of our options to us. I dont have the words to adequately express how much I would recommend them to anyone. We would refer our children to this store if they ever broke down in Nebraska. Top notch work AND quality people. That is an extremely rare combination.

Terrible service, took several weeks to get the car fixed. Had the wrong part brought in several times which led to several wait extensions. Stated they fixed a leak that continued to be a major problem. Messed up a simple oil change and overfilled the engine which led to major costly engine issues.

The staff is super friendly and reliable. Should I need additional work done on my car in the future, Midas will be my go to!

My go-to oil/tire place. They let me know about issues my car had that the dealership didn’t even warn me about. When it comes to my car, I only go to places where I trust they will give me an honest review of my car. Not just for the $, but because of genuine customer service. I appreciate that and wish more businesses were this way.

Overfilled my oil which led to more major engine issues

Needed a quick fix/solution to stop the horn on my Volvo from blaring randomly. They quickly identified the issue, made quick work of it, and did do free of charge. Will definitely be back.

I placed an appointment request and received 2 text messages stating that you would contact me in 30 minutes to confirm the appointment. I never received another text so I purchased my 4 tires elsewhere. Come to find out, you sent an email to confirm the appointment. I would suggest you use the same contact method or state the confirmation will be via email. Now you send me an email thanking me for the opportunity to service my vehicle. You didnt service my vehicle due to the above. You will not service my vehicle in the future either.

Since getting a new manager, this is the best place I have been to. The nicest people and they worked super fast. They didn’t slack off while my car was there and they even double checked things for me as my brakes were making noise. A different shop told me I needed to replace my brakes but I went there and my brake pads were still good and were just squeaky and needed some lubricant to get them to stop squeaking. They saved me soooo much money by only helping me fix the things that needed to be fixed rather than these other shops who just wanted to take my money and make me fix things that didn’t even need to be fixed! I’ve heard from other customers, that I talked to while in the shop, that this happened to them too, a different shop told them to replace something when they literally had already replaced it a month before and Midas helped them with the real problem. 10/10 will recommend to anyone and have already told all of my family and friends to go there. I talked to Devin while inside and Chase was the one who worked on my car.

If you need any work done on your vehicle, the staff here at Midas should be your go-to! They went above and beyond when our car started having issues while we were on a road trip across the country to our new home. They took care of us, told us that due to the Covid-19 stuff going on that the part we needed for the fix wouldnt be available until the morning and then helped us secure a hotel that was pet friendly (as we had our dog with us).Then Troy swung by the auto parts store first thing in the morning to ensure that we could get on the road as soon as possible the next day. Jerry was a rock star and switched over the part quickly.Ricks team is the best! Thank you all for your help that day - you gave us great peace of mind during the rest of our trip.

The group of guys are fantastic. They work well together and make it a good environment to get your car worked on. They get things done in a timely manner. The manager and all the staff are super helpful and friendly. Troy Jerry Devin or Rick will all help you with a smile on their faces. I highly recommend this shop!

We will never go back to another Midas again we had spent about $1500 and then the minute we drove off our vehicle wasnt driving right so we took our vehicle back in they werent very nice but they supposedly took another look and told us that our power steering had a clog and it was going to cost us another$1500 plus do another alignment which come to find out they never did an alignment and if they did they didnt do it right at all. So in my opinion they dont even deserve a star not even a half of a star

Have been going there for the last couple of years and love the work they do. They have worked on multiple cars of mine and have done good work and have done it fast. Mike helps me out every time and is honest abt what I need or not need. Would recommend to anyone that needs honest and good work.

I know this is a chain store, but I found the folks to be friendly and welcoming. Pricing is standard (of course) but look on their website for a coupon before you visit.

I took my car to Midas because it had an exhaust leak. They said that it was a flex tube and I gave them permission to go ahead and install a new one. When the job was done I paid $405 and drove off with a whistle noise so I returned it and they tried to figure out what the problem was. They said there was really nothing wrong with it. So I drove the car for three more months what this annoying whistle. It finally got Extremely Loud and exhaust leaking into the car again. So I take it back and they looked at it they said it was a gasket and replaced it charged me $125. I drove off with the same whistle that I had three months earlier and that Ive been driving around with for the last 3 months. I felt that it was just going to happen all over again and I explain that to them. I included that I did not want to return it 3 months to pay another $125 for another gasket. They said while there is nothing we can do. I took the car to Pro mufflers on North 41st Street they said that it was a bet piece of the exhaust that led to the flex tube and it must have happened while Midas was fitting their part on. Long story short might has caused a problem that they could not fix. Pro Mufflers explain to me that a flex tube would have only cost $135 and it would have came with a one year warranty. They also said that the gasket that they replaced and charged me $125 for should have been under warranty. Pro muffler shops charge me $80 to straighten a bent piece and now my car runs great.

I took my car here because the shop is very close to my house and they could get my car in right away (my car was in rough shape). They diagnosed it and said it really needed $2000 worth of work, but I could get by with $1500. After 2 quick phone calls, I had a quote for the same work for $920 (thank Sears).When I went to pick up my car, I was answered with a PICK IT UP??? being bellowed at me by the man at the front desk. How dare I, a tiny mortal, pick up my own vehicle from his shop without his consent. When I told him I was sorry, but he got beat out by over $500, he then proceeded to pout and glare at me while preparing my bill. When I asked for the full diagnostic report on my car, he barked its all on the bill under DENIED.On the plus side, his service tech was extremely polite and helpful. I hope he finds gainful employment elsewhere very soon.This place is about a half of a block from my house. I will push my car 5 miles before I ever go here again. I can completely understand why they were not busy and could get me in right away.

This place was amazing! Their tire warehouse needs to stay open later though. I had to purchase a tire from a different tire place that couldnt get me in right before close when I was in trouble with a flat tire and needed my car. If the warehouse would have been open I could have purchased the tire from Midas also, which would have been preferred. Service was absolutely amazing, they got me taken care of at the end of the day when no other place would and in a quickly manor which was very appreciated. I would definitely return here because of how much they were willing to help me.

It took me a bit to write this review. I was halfway though a 2500 mile trip and my muffler started dragging on a Saturday morning.. I was frazzled. Scared of costs because I was running on a budget. Scared because I didnt want to be taken advantage of. I called and they said to come on in and that they would look at it. I arrived and he knew exactly who I was. Pulled me right in. Several of the muffler hangers had burnt through and needed replaced.. I thought, well atleast they wernt telling me other stuff needed replaced that didnt.. When all said and done I was very pleased with how I was treated and the price.. Thanks Yall!

Great service at this Midas. Got an oil change, and not only has my car been running incredibly smoothly, but they were very friendly and got the job done fast and efficiently. Go to Joe, he was very helpful and a great guy. Definitely going there for all my oil changes from now on.

Sorry for the bad rating Rick always does a great job. Rick was off on Tuesday another manager took over and made a lot of mistakes order dry wrong Tire wasnt caught for a simple 30-minute job it took over four hours to get done because he had to run back up to Omaha to get it. No fault to Rick which Rick is a manager

Would not recommend. Made an appointment to drop my car off to get the brakes looked at due to a noise that was occurring at 10:30AM. Stopped by at 4:00 thinking it would be done and it hadnt even gotten in the shop yet. My car wasnt done until the end of the day at 5:30. I was told I needed new brake pads and rotors and it would cost about $800. Took my car to another auto shop where they told me my brakes were perfectly fine and had about 70% of life left on them. All they had to do was clean them out a little and the noise stopped and they are now perfectly fine. An auto shop should not tell you that you need new brakes just to make some money off of you. Very disappointed in the service and will not go back again.

Work was fine. When they quote you the price, its only parts. Labor is separate from the quote. So expect the total to be double the quote

The guys that work there are super hot. They are all super professional. They were able to help me to diagnose and fix issues on my van which other mechanics were unable to fix. They were moderately prised. Quick and efficient!!! Those hotties can fix my van anytime.

These guys are the best! Pete is always willing to explain and physically show me everything that is wrong with my car - and re-explain it to my dad over the phone :) Hes always looking for coupons online for me to use and ensuring I get the best quality parts for the cheapest amount possible (broke college student). Unfortunately, with the car I have now, Im a bit of a frequent flyer but it doesnt change the awesome service I receive every time I go. There have been a couple of times where Ive had to leave my car at the shop overnight and theyve even given me a ride home as well. So thankful for them!

Pretty fast service, but the mechanic wasnt clear on how to install my cabin air filter. I picked my car up & the glove box was left open on the floormat. It wasnt attached correctly & my cabin air filter wasnt installed. It took me looking on YouTube & offering to help the mechanic re-install the cabin air filter properly behind my glove box.

They are very expensive here and tell people an amount and then when it comes times you pay they are more expensive then what they originally said. Also I’ve seen them in the shop on their cell phones leaning up against the car not doing anything. Very disappointed and upset.

I should have written this review sooner but these guys really helped me out of a bind. The day before I am suppose to drive 6 hours for a wedding, my brakes started screeching BAD at, of course at 7 a.m. on my way to work. I was so stressed because I had to work but Pete got me in that day. His crew also gave me a ride back to work (downtown) and then ended up dropping my car off at work when it was done. So very thankful for their hard work and kindness.

We recently started coming to this Midas after both my husband and I got jobs on this side of Lincoln (we use to go to TO Haas 56th and Hwy 2 area) Ive been extremely impressed by the staff and service we have received. I dont know much about cars or when certain maintenance is needed but Rick has been upfront with me about what can wait to be fixed or what should be done first. Theyre not pushy or try to sell me service I dont need, which I appreciate immensely! Thanks Midas!

I do not recommend coming here. They don’t professionalize in breaks and tires, they professionalize in stealing your money. They wanted to charge me $1,200 for two new router plates, two pads and two calipers. I went to two other mechanics who don’t even specialize in breaks and tires and do the same amount of work for $500-600. Go to Schlegel automotive for your mechanical work. Insane price.

I made an appointment and was given an estimate that it would take an hour or so. After sitting in the shop waiting for over an hour, I learned that they had not started on my car yet, which makes sense considering a friend of a worker came in and seemingly got to jump the line in front of me. Not impressed.

My husband waited an HOUR AND A HALF with our 2 year old, only to find out they used full synthetic when we #1 have 10,000 miles on our vehicle and #2 always go there so they can see in the system we use the blend AND #3 DIDNT ASK!

Every time I go to Midas Rick or Mike and the crew always always answers my questions and resolves any problems I have with my car. Id highly recommend Midas.

Called at 3:30, they had me in at about 3:45 and my problem was diagnosed and fixed (plus an oil change!) by 5:30. Reasonable price, great service, yet again.

This was the first and last time I will ever go here. I went in for a simple oil change. They took out my air filter and never put it back. They almost got us stranded 300 miles from home in below zero tempature. Will NEVER go here again and will tell everyone to avoid this place. Would give negitive stars if I could.

Wish there was a ZERO star rating. They tried to tell my sister they couldnt fix her tire and she needed to buy a new tires. Said it was too close to the sidewall and it clearly wasnt. Wish I could upload picture so everyone could see. They tried to take advantage of her. I wonder how many people fall for this scam?

This is by far the best auto shop in Lincoln! I’ve been to several shops in town and have had terrible experiences and I can confidently say I will never use any other mechanics than the guys at Midas.Rick and Mike are fantastic men who take the time to get to know their customers and make sure they are safe on the road. Rick does incredibly thorough (but timely) Uber and Lyft inspections and is up to date with vehicle qualifications. I can always get my truck seen either the day of or the next day, it’s so great to get it in quickly when there’s a problem. Thank you so much for giving me a reliable place to have my truck worked on, you guys have a customer for life!

I really wish I could post the screenshot of what I just experienced. Whoever closed your place of business on August 22 I had called 10 minutes before close to see what time I could drop my car off the next day to have it looked at. I was literally placed on hold until 10 min (20 minutes) after the business close. The line went dead I will never recommend you or your services to anyone.

Just called them was a tire emergency they stayed open late to help me out best shop and guys around town! we will be using them for all of our future tire needs !!!!!

Had a squeaking noise in my brakes, dropped the car off this morning to have them look at it. turns out nothing was wrong and they didnt charge me. The staff was very friendly and I really appreciate this quality of service.

Ive been here twice and my tires werent rotated, as advertised, either time. Ill be going somewhere more trustworthy in the future.

They dont respect your time. Made an appt for an oil change, an hour and a half later my car was still in the parking lot. When I asked about an ETA, they said they didnt have the right oil for another car and were waiting for a delivery first. It seems like they couldve changed mine while they waited for the delivery, but they shouldve at least let me know about the excessive wait time when they realized there was an issue. Bad customer service, I wont be back.

Pretty sure I was just refused service. I don’t live in Lincoln and apparently I had a flat tire, which is not ideal when you’re trying to drive home. Midas has helped me before a few years ago with no issues. This time, I had my friend go in with me and it seemed like the man at the front refused him service for looking a little odd. Seems sketchy since when we left, all the mechanics were sitting around doing nothing and there where maybe two cars being serviced. I’m really confused.

Service tech was rude and because I am a woman tried duping me into an unnecessary more expensive service. Be AWARE!

The guy at the counter was great and friendly. BUT as far as the oil change goes that is another story.... I noticed an oil leak after i had Midas change my oil. I had to take more time out of my day to return due to their mistake! Come to find out that They didnt put the dipstick in correctly. .. Not a big deal except oil all over my engine and took more time to take it back in due to their mess up then the initial oil change!
