A-1 aligned my sons car after we replaced struts and CV axles. Car drives great and straight now. Charged us the quoted amount. Finished on time. They quoted a bunch of other work but there was no pressure to complete that work. Overal good experience.

I handed them every mechanics nightmare, a basket case. They were kind and professional chasing down another shops mistakes. I was kept informed of every step and always knew where we were at with the cost. Their service and staff are top notch. They are the transmission gurus. I cannot recommend A1 highly enough!!! We will make the drive into Lincoln again to use them in the future.

I was deliberately screening this business to see if I would feel comfortable financially supporting them with my vehicle service requirements; I feel confident I made the right choice today for A1 Automotive to be my go-to vehicle service garage!Specific things I liked about the interaction with employees at A1 Automotive today:-- Everyone was extremely kind, took the time to really listen and let me to be in complete control by allowing me to drive my handicap accessible modified van into and out of the work bays.-- Received a free super detailed inspection and estimate sent by text to include pictures taken of my van parts (see attached pictures).-- The mechanic exposed some repairs I agreed needed to be addressed, but would have to be rescheduled. Even though today they only had time to do an oil change and complete the inspection, the service manager Kurt did not even charge me for the oil change! Instead, he chose to postpone charges until I come in on the next agreed-upon date. To me this was exceptional because Ive never left a business before without paying for the services provided!In the end, I look forward to continuing a good relationship with A1 Automotive, a local business downtown!!

I contacted Curt at A1 Automotive to see if they could replace the old engine in my 1961 Chevy Impala, that I was having issues with. Their communication with me was prompt, and they kept me informed all through the process. Needless to say, I am very pleased with the work they did, and I highly recommend A1 to my friends. They are top notch!

If I could give this business ten stars I would! In the past two months we have taken our vehicle to Mark. The first time he matched our quote (which was significantly less else where) without hesitation. Just recently we had to have our car towed there after hours. The very next morning I called him to let him know it was there and what was going on with it. He quickly looked at it later that week on such short notice. Turns out, there was a recall on the part which was on back order nationwide with a four month wait. He was able to find someone with the part and set everything up for us. He took time to check it out, find the part, and get everything rolling and wanted no payment for any of it. I 10/10 recommended him for any of your car needs!

We contacted A-1 to get a second opinion on a leaking strut. Curt got us in right away and confirmed it was leaking. Rather than wait a month to get it fixed at the dealership, Curt got us in the very next week and for the same price as the dealership quote. We have used A-1 in the past, and they are always professional and honest with good quality work. We will continue to use A-1.

I had A1 do an oil change on my vehicle and it was the best experience I’ve had with an automotive shop. They have friendly and honest staff. I was very impressed with the full inspection they completed. I had access to it online and it was very detailed with recommendations from the technician. The inspection included photos so you could see the items needing to be addressed. I absolutely recommend this shop!

I went here to get a car inspection for a new car that I recently bought and the inspection itself seemed very thorough and the inspection report that I received was very detailed with photos which was nice. However, to fix the problems found in the inspection, they quoted me a price that was ~$300 more than other places that I called around to.The work they complete is good, just significantly more expensive than other places around town. I would just recommend calling around to other places rather than trusting that they are quoting you the most affordable option.

I needed 4 new tires on my car. My tire size is hard to find! A-1 Automotive came through for me, found tires that fit my bitty car, and replaced them. I specifically chose this mechanic as the cost to replace the tires would have been the same virtually anywhere else, but this also allowed me to support a local business. I messaged a few places and A-1 was the first shop to reply that same evening, even after hours. They were kind, professional, and very down-to-Earth. They never talked down to me because I’m a woman. They kept me updated on the car status while working on it. The administrative assistant, I believe her name is Cecelia, was so incredibly sweet while I waited. The tech who changed the tires, I believe his name is Chad, was also really helpful and non-judgmental. I apologize if I have the names wrong! This place is seriously the best and I’m going to keep using them for the jobs I can’t get done myself.

I have used A1 for repair and service on our vehicles for the past 4 years and I am always impressed. Today I had my truck in for an oil change and fluid service. I thought I was needing to have the transmission flushed but Curt went the extra mile and confirm that I only needed to have it checked at the 30k interval. It is so good to have a repair shop that you can trust.

I heard about A1 through a friend, and decided to give them a try for a leveling kit I was having installed on my truck. Obviously the truck looked fantastic, but what I truly appreciated was the friendly and honest service. Didn’t feel like a “number”, as I have been when going to a BIG dealership in town. They made me feel appreciated and I could tell they genuinely cared about customer service. I was so impressed that I’ve now decided to stop going to the BIG dealership for all my service needs, and will be going to A1 from now on. Ive gotten so much work done from these guys that I forget everything! Theres definitely been times of frustration when trying to get my car back to normal, but Curt and the rest of the team has almost always done a fantastic job of helping me feel like theyre working hard and honestly on my car. Great service and work -I came in for an estimate after getting rear-ended. The estimate was straightforward, and at the same time I got a full report on everything else going on with my car. Its hands-down the most thorough and clear report Ive ever gotten from a shop. They caught that my timing belt was failing and were able to fix it the next day - I would have never known otherwise and it would have eventually totalled my car. Then, to fix the rear end damage I had, they managed to order me in a part that there were only 3 of in the continental U.S. and fix my car by the next week. Im very happy with their service and appreciate how clear the information they gave me was. Definitely would recommend them to other folks looking for a reliable auto repair place. They live up to their name.

I had a great first experience with this shop so I went back to have my front sway bars replaced. Called early in the week, was told to bring it in at 8:30am on Friday. When I did, I hadnt been marked on the schedule and there was a big back and forth about who we talked to, who told us to come in, etc. They took the vehicle but acted pretty inconvenienced about it, said it would take an hour or so, heard back in six. Got the car home and it still had the rattling issue I was hoping to resolve, so I had it back on Monday morning. They did a ride along, didnt take it back into the shop to check their work, told us it would be a $1200 strut job, and sent us out the door.By this point, I was already going to go elsewhere for a second opinion. Then a week later, I noticed that BOTH OF MY FRONT TIRES HAD NO TREAD. My drivers side was bearing threads. I knew I was coming up on the mileage on my tires but the fact that A-1 sent me out the door after working on the front axle system without even noticing the state of my tires (or doing a full inspection after $300+ of work), isnt just shocking, its dangerous. I had new tires put on the front end the same week and guess what? They told me it was my ball joints and the rattling I had been trying to fix was near gone.Ill never go back.

Was traveling across the country and had some unexpected car problems occur. They had the problem diagnosed and fixed with six hours and they werent even expecting us in their schedule for the day and we were able to get back on the road. They treated us very well and we are so grateful!

Highly impressed! The employees are knowledgeable and friendly and took the stress out of the normal car repair process. I’ve had one thing after another happen with my vehicle lately and they actually took the time to explain what was wrong, how and why it gets fixed etc. This is especially nice when you know you know very little. I feel more confident with how my car was repaired than any where else I’ve gone (which has been quite a few places).

There is a reason this place has so many 5 star reviews. Better prices than most shops for equal if not better than others. They go above and beyond to make your experience impeccable. I’ve had my vehicle serviced on multiple occasions and it’s crazy how fast these folks are. Even when my repair bill was a a few bucks they took the time to drive me across town to work and offered to give me a ride when I was done. I’m sadly moving across the country but the extra cost to send my vehicle back to them when I have a problem might just be worth it if the repairs meet the cost. You will never have to worry about shady business with these guys.

I have never left a Google review before, but my experience here was too positive to ignore. My hybrid had its transmission fail. The dealership said it would cost close to $8,000 for a new hybrid transmission for it. I heard about A1 and I took my vehicle there for a quote... and they gave me a price almost $2000 lower. They got my vehicle in within a few days, had it fixed within the 2 days they promised, offered a loaner vehicle while they repaired mine, and were extremely professional and friendly through the process. They have definitely earned my business and my referrals for any future automotive issues. I am impressed!

So I initially took my classic car to another mechanic that wanted to charge roughly $400 plus to fix timing/tuning issue that they were unable to ultimately fix, mentioned they might have to take apart the motor to repair the problem $$$$$. In short, I knew something wasn’t right, so I called A1 Automotive who I was referred to by a friend and I’m beyond happy I did!! These guys not only took care of my car issue within an hr of work but got my car in the shop a day early! They also made sure to park my car in the garage overnight so that it was in safe keeping! Curt was absolutely awesome to work with and Chuck the mechanic was great as well! I wouldnt usually recommend a mechanic because I am usually skeptical of much of what they tell me. I have always been completely comfortable with A1s recommendations and all aspects of the work that they have done for me. I wouldnt take my vehicles anyplace else.

I brought in a 1969 Mustang for my dad, the motor had a knock in it and needed to be replaced. After all kinds of hiccups with a new motor and delay after delay with getting parts due to Covid, these guys kept me updated day after day even if nothing was able to be done just keeping me in the loop for peace of mind. The staff is incredible, the price was extremely fair for the amount of work done and I highly recommend taking any car here whether it be your everyday driver or your prized collector car, I would trust these guys whole heartedly any day.

A-1 Automotive worked on my Honda Accord and I was very impressed with their shop. Customer service was outstanding, and expertise and value also was terrific. I highly recommend them.

I was driving from Chicago to Boulder to drop off my daughter at college. We stopped overnight in Lincoln, NE. When we stopped, I noticed a hot burning smell coming from the engine. We were also having interior climate control issues. Kurt at A-1 Automotive was able to look at my car that day. My car needed a computer system upgrade and he also detected an oil leak in the right output seal. Kurt had the local Ford dealer come out to do a mobile upgrade. He also assured me my car was safe to continue driving, but I should get the oil leak fixed soon. He provided a detailed diagnostic report and showed me exactly where the oil leak was. He didn’t try to take advantage of the situation and scare me into having the repair done immediately at his shop. Having car maintenance issues while on the road, when you don’t know anything about cars, puts you in a vulnerable position. Kurt was honest, professional and provided great service.

Our van had a catastrophic failure while traveling through Lincoln. Both the check engine light and the engine temperature gauge failed after we ran out of coolant. We found these guys and had our car towed to their shop. They looked things over and gave us the bad news. Not only did they squeeze us in when they were really busy, but they ended up not charging us for a lot of what they did in trying to salvage the engine. On top of all this, they kept the keys and the van for us while we went through the process of donating it. I cannot tell how friendly and helpful they were and how much we appreciated them being so helpful during a time of immense stress for my family. If I lived in Lincoln, they would be my mechanic for sure.

They are always prompt and straightforward with repairs. They understand budgets and will help you prioritize needed fixes if its too much. I took my 99 Blazer that needless to say was a trainwreck and some parts were hard to find but they always did great work. All the staff are very courteous and willing to answer any question.
