The Irving technician showed up less than two hours after I called to report that our furnace was not working. He diagnosed and repaired the problem quickly. I discovered that he was the same tech who helped us out about a year ago when we had a problem. On that occasion he diagnosed a more serious issue which led him to contact the furnace manufacturer, and we ended up getting a new furnace under warranty that Irving installed for us. The service that we have gotten from Irving has been excellent.
Bought a cottage that had Irving Energy propane tank. Called for refill. They required an inspection before they would refill tank. Technician came and looked. Said it would be easy one-man job - under an hour - to check/replace any shut-off valves (3). Asked for quote. Waited four weeks, still no quote. Placed three or four more calls - finally quote arrive for $1800.00. Three techs needed? 3+ hours each? Can we all say price gouge together? Needles to say, we called another dealer and have new service with $zero repair charges. Now I cant get Irving Energy to pick up their tank from my front yard. 3 calls so far and counting. Anyone want some steel to recycle?
I had a service with Irving energy. They charged for both the labor and parts. The labor is reasonable, which is 250 for 2 hours. However, the parts are much more expensive than a reasonable prices, 3-5 times higher than the same things in home-depot. For example, Irving energy charged more than 120 dollars for a relief valve, which is only 29 in home depot! The same Cast Iron Circulator is 89 in home depot. It charged for 260 dollars! Be aware of this, when you need services from them!
Terrible place to do business with. I am a commercial and residential customer and I am transferring my accounts to another supplier. Their service department is rude, inexperienced and inept. Dont use them unless you absolutely have to!
