I can tell you from my own personal experience who has done many top flight Corvette restorations, and had Joyce Borrell Mirrors do all my mirrors for me, she is without a doubt the most honest and best mirror restoration service I have ever used, and will continue to use. I also know of other top Vintage car restoration shops that also use only her, because there is NO better! Thank you for your great service, you have provided me over the years, and look forward to having more mirror restorations done by you in the future!

Review №3

I had a disappointing transaction with Joyce Borrell which I felt should be shared with other Corvette customers. I purchased an original restored, 1965-66 Corvette D/N interior mirror from her recently. At the inception of my questions about the condition of the restoration work, I asked that she take a couple pics of the mirrors stamped housing to better show what she described as a small dent in the housing. This dent was described as rather small and not severe in nature. She responded that taking a pic of this damage wasn’t possible and was just too hard to do. I took her word for the minor damaged area and when I received the mirror, the dent was much larger and the polishing marks very evident where more work was done to erase the dented area. I also noticed that the prism glass was installed much deeper in the mirror housing that any D/N mirror GM ever produced at “Guide Division”. I called her to lodge my complaints and she simply said to return the mirror for a refund, minus shipping both ways. This I deemed unsatisfactory as I took pics of this mirror myself and sent them to her to show how bad the dented area was. I’m no professional photographer but the pics were very clear that I took myself. Now, this problem could have been avoided if she had sent me photos before she shipped and took my PayPal payment. I’d never have ordered it if I’d seen the dented area and sunken glass issues first. It’s only $20 plus, but it’s a waste of time and 2-way shipping fees. In fairness, she did refund the part cost as she said she would. However, there is no excuse for not covering the shipping charges as I’d asked for proof of condition with documentary pictures. I could never have never done this when I owned Paragon Reproductions, nor could I do it today in my normal business interactions with customers I still service. My background in this business is being the founder of Paragon Reproductions in the 1960’s and selling the company in 2002. Also, I am one of the NCRS founding members, # 82 so I do have some experience with customer service issues. This is no way to treat a customer, who has a legitimate complaint with the failure of a seller, to offer who asked for prior proof of this mirrors condition. Let the buyer beware, don’t pay for something prior to seeing its photographic image first. If you can guarantee the parts refund price, then you certainly can cover the shipping costs associated with that transaction. Rather short sighted.I satisfied my customer by restoring one of my own original D/N mirrors. When a company welcomes reviews, I am more than willing to voice my opinion for others to ponder. Sincerely, Richard Fortier, NCRS # 82
