Maya was excellent to work with! I purchased an obscure instrument which is only made at one place in the USA. They were on back order for several months. Maya helped me through the process, filled out all the forms for me. She communicated with me over the phone during COVID to keep me apprised of the status. She communicated with corporate and the manufacturer on my behalf. Finally, I got my instrument and she helped me with the financing. I really appreciated how easy she made it for me. I loved working with her. I highly recommend this location for any detailed or specific requests you might have.On a completely separate note - to those reviewers who complain about how you were treated or whatever, my advice to you is - get over yourselves. Dont take everything so personal. The people at this store do a great job and have to work with a lot of different customers on specific issues. Ive witnessed them treating all customers with the utmost respect and providing as much help as they can.

Daughter broke a string on her violin, so I checked when the store closes; 6pm. So I rushed over when getting out of work at 5:30 and arrived at 5:45. Dude in the store sees me pull up and rushes over to lock the door. Double checked the posted hours and sure enough its supposed to be 6pm. Rude! Will be going with Mikes Music or Amazon instead!
I was in the store to purchase music books and spoke to the white guy behind the counter and he ignored me twice. The black lady in the store was nice and very helpful. I really dont advise people of color to shop at this store .
9/28/20 I got my daughter her first flute at Music and arts and I was welcomed by Markus whose custmor service was super nice and very knowledgeable
I had the best experiences with M&A for almost 19 months, until today when I called and the man who answered the phone told me that it was a wrong number only because I said, “Hi, hola”. I clarified that it was M&A and I was calling M&A, and I asked why he was saying it was a wrong number, and he answered, “because you said, “hola.”What?I asked for another M&A representative and said to him I will call back when another person with good quality of costumer service will be there.Shame of you M&A.
This was my first time coming to this location. I was looking for a violin for my daughter and of course I had no idea what I needed in that regard. When I came in I was greeted by a young lady named Patrice. She came up to me as if she knew me with a bright smile. She answered every question I had, and she never made me feel like I was asking too much.I really recommend this store to anyone who needs something musical, and ask for Patrice because she’s friendly and she will help you in every way you need.
Awesome working with Eric at the Fulton M & A location - answered every question promptly and thoroughly, gave me the max discounts possible, and even came in early before the store officially opened so I could complete my purchase without impacting my work schedule. Above and beyond service- Ill definitely recommend Eric to anyone looking for a knowledgeable music professional!
They have poor back office customer service. The Laurel store itself is ok. But the billing department and their policies suck!
Came into the store totally nervous not a big music guy,was just coming in to grab some piano accessories for my niece. I must have looked lost when a well dressed woman named Patrice approached with a friendly smile and hello, she was a life saver very patient with me trying to figure out what i needed and gave me a ton of info I felt great leaving the store she even offered piano lessons for my niece she really made me feel in good hands a great experience if you get a chance stop by the atomsphere is great and if you get a chance ask for Patrice
I’m renting a saxophone with this company and I have been coming here for many years. My son accidentally left his sax at school and he had solo ensemble later today. Desperate, I came into the store and asked the staff for help. Patrice came over to me explained to me that I would have to rent another sax because she couldn’t just give it to me, however she explained if I brought it back after we were done I could get a full refund. I was so happy because usually companies won’t be that honest with you. She dropped everything she was doing and started to help me. After she got everything together my son tried the sax and there was something wrong with the low D, she attempted to fix it, but it didn’t seem to work. But she recommended that I take it to the teacher to see if they could fix it but if the song my son was playing didn’t require that, to not worry about.I came back a few hours later and she was still in the store. I thanked her so much because she kept her word and gave me a full refund. She even asked me about my son’s performance and I’m happy to say if she didn’t do such a great job my son wouldn’t have gotten a superior on his performance.
I always enjoy coming in this store. I am not a brick and mortar guy and rarely care to spend any time in stores (besides Home improvement stores) but I always enjoy M&A. I have been drawn to Eric to help me because he has the look of a hard rocker, but he is one of the most polite and professional people that I have ever met in retail. (One of the reasons I dislike brick and mortar) He is also very knowledgeable and listens before making suggestions. My only critique is there is not enough selection of Christian music books.
I was nervous about going in to buy some stuff for my son because I do not know anything about music. Devon immediately helped make me feel comfortable and was helpful in suggesting exactly what I needed. Definitely recommend!
If I could give this store no stars I would. They are swindlers. They are looking to make as much money off of people as possible. I received a bill on a thursday and I paid it that Saturday and they wanted to charge me an additional fee for being late. It was 2 days. According to their representative even though I have a bill it does not include all of their fees. So there was there are additional fees being billed to my card. So they refused to refund my money. The customer service representative told me that I was welcome to return the instrument at any time. You better believe I will be. Their equipment is twice as much as other retailers. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. There are other places out there with far better prices.
I have enjoyed teaching music at Laurel Music Arts for many years, working with students who are enthusiastic and engaged.Many students have stayed with me over the years; this is also true of the other teachers in the shop.The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful, offering personal attention not found in larger stores.

I was looking for a specific product and didnt want to wait the few days for delivery with Amazon. When I initially called this store, the price I was quoted was worth the wait on Amazon. Then, I happened to check their website and the sales rep told me of a sale the following day. He offered to give me the sale discount AND price match. I was so thrilled, I further inquired about lessons for my children. Nowadays when people (myself, included) are quick to just order online, I really appreciate when a local business can provide quality product *and* support. I happened to look at their google page after the fact and was shocked to see bad CS reviews. I rarely take the time to write reviews, but considering I had such a STELLAR customer service experience, I knew it was worth sharing about what IS possible at Music & Arts.
I come here all the time for my daughter but was very disappointed on my last visit. The store is supposed to open at 10:00 am.....I watched the employee drive up with her iced coffee in hand at 10:20 am to open the store. We all have schedules to keep, being prompt and on time for work is very important.

Thursday September 15th, 2016 I was in this store and experience the most terrible customer service in my life. I went to get some supplies for my child. There were only 2 persons attending a men and an women. When I enter both of them were busy so I waited. Few minutes after the lady finished with her customer and I supposed I was next. But she didnt even ask me if I needed help. I followed her and she was with the man who was attending a woman in his desk. So I said, Can somebody help me? and then the nightmare become true. The customer was the first who answer Maam you do not see they are with another customer, I replied and said yes, but I just need to know if one of them can help me. After in a very very rude voice the employed or sales representative for give it a name responded I am busy right now you have to wait I said ok how long do you think can take you? and she was If I should known.After that I said ok forget about it and I went outside, I search over my phone and unfortunatly that one was the only store nearby and I was in real need of the things.I went inside again and the lady still with the other customer and in her bad mood, been with a single manner of respect. She didnt even apologize for what happen before. The men went to me and I think he was on the same channel with me maybe confuse why this lady was so bad with me. I asked for the store manager and this sales lady angry answer is not here. Maybe she is the manager? no idea.10 minutes after she (the sales lady) was ready to give me my supplies and she said only 2 things: We dont carry this book (the one I was looking for) and stupidly said, is $21 are you taking it or no? After all that I wait, OMG ridiculous.I swiped my card and told her you should take a customer care class or something because you with that attitude can totally ruin the day for a person that comes here. She was so angry because of my comment I felt that she wanted to hit me or something and says I dont need it I dont care. and I left feeling so bad for the wait she treated me, NEVER I want to stop by at this store, and like I said before I left BE CAREFUL WITH THAT GIRL.I dont understand why some people get a job where needs patience, been polite and good manners and then ends treating so bad the customers and put the reputation of the business behind.
