Please do not bring your car there. This Indian guy called Patel spends his time arguing with customers and is so rude. He won’t even let you talk but will keep talking over you. I have lifetime alignment and he won’t do my alignment because I have different tires on my vehicle, yet I did my alignment twice at the same location with another customer service representative with the same new tires on.He made my experience there horrible twice now and I’m not coming here anymore.Fire that dude!!!
We got a flat tire and I made an appointment online before we head here to repair the tire and replace new tires for all four.At first, the place was great! Spacious and lots of choices.I was in line while someone was being assisted by a guy on nameplate called Patel. While I was waiting on line, he already took my attention. What do you want? he said to me with a high toned voice.I said to him, I made an appointment online yesterday. I want to fix my tire.He replied to me with his high voice, like he was mad, and said, That will take long! Three to four hours!I told him that I will wait. So, he took my details and the key to my car. After the findings, he told me that they do not have tires for my car, in which he should have said in the first place. He told me that he can replace the tires, but he will need to order and bring it the next day.I told him that I need to replace my tires that day. He advised me to go to their other branch in Landover, MD, wherein they have 3 new tires. The other branch is approximately 10 miles from this shop.I told him if he already called the other branch that we will go there and reserved those three tires for us. He just responded in a sarcastic way that I will jist go there and the tires will still be there (really?).The Extra Mile customer service has turned into an extra mile telling me to go their other branch and try my luck.I just went to the other service center nearest me.You must train, or replace that person, so that every customer will have the same great experience.
I went here to get my tire pressure checked because my light came on. I was told that they don’t have anything to check the pressure or put air in it. How are you a tire shop with no tire pressure gauge. I’ve came here before and got it checked with no issue.I actually bought my tires from here but you better believe I won’t be back. Horrible customer service. Also that same guy was on FaceTime with someone the entire time. It took 15 minutes to get his attention
I had originally scheduled an appointment for the evening and had it rescheduled for the next day. I was able to get off of work early and called to see if I could still bring it in, I was told yes. I came in and they were slightly confused... but were able to fit me in and finish what I needed! I loved it, they’re great!!
I really like the staff. Mr. Quentin is my go to he is very knowledgeable and polite. He also helps you find the best deals they have to offer!!
Needed a new tire after I got a flat. Provided the new tire I needed.
Called to see if they had a battery in stock for my 02 Silverado. Jim answered, looked it up and let me know its in stock, he also reminded me to bring in the old battery. When I got there, the place was clean and organized. Always have a good experience at this location. Thanks for your help, Jim!
The store great, but it needs renovation. Its too dark inside
I really appreciate the customer service i got at the pep boys in laurel. Richard and Jesse was very helpful. They listened to all my concerns and helpful information that i provided regarding my car issues. I would recommend them all the time.
I came in a little lost regarding having a nail in my tire. But Richard in the tire department took the time and talked to my insurance company on the phone and got me in and out in less thank an hour. Very satisfied and will definitely come back. Thanks again, Richard!
Rude personnel, no customer service, the lady in the checkout area is not helpful at all. I purchased a part for my truck, I needed it for a 2WD and got a 4WD one, I had a really bad customer experience when I went back to the the store to replace it, she offered me something different than what I needed, making a long story short she ended up making a refund after calling her supervisor. That lady shouldnt be working in customer service at all, this was on June 18th, 2021 at 3:50 pm.You guys really need to work on your employees knowledge about car parts and specially on motivation
Quick and seamless process, highly recommend
Made an appointment and selected tires online for this location. The day of the appointment the guy from the tire department called and said that they didn’t have the tires I had chosen In stock. So I told him I will check some other locations and see if they have them in stock. I had found another location that had the desiredtires. I then called the initial location to tell them that I no longer needed that appointment time and to cancel. Then the guy said they had the tires there(which is a closer location) so I said okay I will be there soon. I started to leave, he then proceeded to call back and say that he didn’t have the tires in stock. I told him that I will just go to another location. So I went to the other location who had the tires. After finally getting the tires. The initial location said he had the tires. I told him i already got them. Anyway, the next week for the next 4 days this guy tries calling me, leaving me voicemails saying that he had ordered the tires and that I need to come in and put them on my car.I finally answer and told him I had already told him to cancel that appointment and I already got the tires. He was rude. Telling me that I was wrong. Obviously not listening to the customer and what I was saying. Not to mention spamming my phone with calls and voicemails.Just go to a different location!
Very helpful service writer
Prior to arriving at this location, I had gone to 2 others. I should have come to the Laurel location first because it turned out to be the best. Clean store, helpful and courteous staff, and an exceptional Assistant manager, Richard. A sincere thank you to Richard and Jesse for going the extra mile staying to replace the HID bulb that I needed right before the store was closing . Thanks for showing you actually cared!
The man who took my call was flat out unprofessional. I had to call twice he answered both times and I still could not schedule a simple appointment for an oil change. He said there was a week wait, no 4pm apt and if I made an apt it mostly would be rescheduled. He advised walk in on Saturday at 8am and see. What type of business they running? Annandale and Marlow Height run far better. Terrible experience. Don’t waste your time here.
Hello,I went to Pepboys on Saturday@10am for an alignment and also to replace my air filter.I’ve been going there for years, so I know that if you don’t make an appointment or go in very early, there’s a long wait usually 1-2 hours. And the managers usually let you know how long it’s going to take. Only problem is that this day, I met Richard G who was extremely very rude and unprofessional. Initially, he told me that it was going to be 1-2 hours wait. Then I noticed that 2 ladies who came after me that also didn’t have an appointment came in and left. I was in the lobby waiting area by the desk and overheard their conversation, so I knew that they didn’t have an appointment. And Quentin came in and spoke to them and told them that they wouldn’t have to wait long and they sure didn’t. How is that if they didn’t have an appointment also? When I went to ask him why was mine taking so long? He had the guts to tell me “first come, first serve” REALLY??? My car will be next, that was after waiting 3 hours. I asked him to give me my keys, I’m leaving. He offered no apology. Instead he and Quentin Evans who is suppose to be a Manager where laughing at me. I’m extremely disappointed to say the lease and would never step my foot into that store anymore.Sent from my iPhone 12 Pro Max
Richard and Petal displayed great customer service and was very knowledgeable with products and services I needed for my vehicle can’t thank those guy’s enough.
I went to Pepboys in Laurel for a oil change on 2/16/21. Patel and Jesse was very friendly and helpful. They explained that my o ring on my drain plug also needs to be replaced . That’s why my oil was leaking. He replaced the o ring and changed my oil in a timely manner..
I was not pleased with my last visit here. I made an online appointment which according to the service advisor means nothing when it comes to the actual scheduling of work for the day. Im a lifetime alignment customer and came in for a scheduled realignment. After waiting entirely too long with an appointment (4 hours) I received my car back without an alignment printout proving the work was done and done right. I then road test it and the car pulls hard to the left after this new realignment. I imediately take the car back and have to wait another hour and a half for the good technician to align my car correctly and still dont receive a print out confirmation that its done correctly. I hope management gets this shop running better. It used to be my go to spot for repair and maintenance.
I love pep boys very convenient Im glad its on the right side of the shopping center
Employees are rude and not helpful at all, even the manager was of no use . I arrived at 1230 pm to return and unused item and was told we don’t have $160 in the store at this time to give a refund, i said fine then what time do you expect to be able to refund and was told to come back by 3pm and I would be obliged only to arrive a little after 3pm to be told the same thing. This is ridiculous, inconsiderate and inconvenient for the customer and I’m am not happy at all ! I will be calling cooperate to file a complaint! Thanks for nothing Pep Boys of laurel!!!
Richard displayed excellent customer service. I will definitely be returning back to this store.
Had oil change about 2 weeks ago, but realized there was drops of oil in ny garage, caught it on time and took it right away for them to fix the issue with no problem.
Help me make sure My car fine and working. Really appreciate the help when choosing the service I needed. New to owning a car but I appreciate them telling how keep it well. Tech was working constantly and I appreciate that
Customer service good I was in and out in. A mater of time
No technicians working at appointment time. Waited 30 min.
Excellent service. Richard, in particular, is very knowledgeable and made my experience enjoyable
If you go here dont expect any help from any employees.Set up an appointment and called to confirm the mechanic will be there at 5. Got there at 5 and the mechanic was already gone.
Best location I have been to! Steven was a huge help with getting everything on my car done
The staff in Laurel was awesome and took real good care of me and my vehicle.
So I came here last Sunday 06/20/2021 to try to do oil exchange in my car and I came in the shot and they told me that I had to do an appointment I was oh ok and then I did my appointment for this Sunday today 06/27/2021 and I got to the shot today and they telling me that they had to cancel, and to be honest this is bad business I not coming back to service my car here again
Dont go there. The worst customer service ever. Last time, I had an appointment at 1pm, I came on time and they guy there told me to wait around 1.5 hours. After waiting for nearly 2 hours my car still not being served yet so I came home and back to Pepoys after 2 more hours later. My car still not being served yet. It seems the guys at Pepboys dont understand the meaning of Appointment. Also, the guy at counter is very rude and had attitude, he tricked customers and didnt want to help them while he could make thing easier for them.
The worst customer service I have seen in a long time. I show up for my appointment at 11:00am to have 4 tires installed, the guy at the counter seemed to have an attitude. He tells me I’m going to have to wait maybe 3 hours because someone called out. (I had a scheduled appointment.) Then he proceeded to instruct me to take a Lyft and just leave my car (still with no definitive time frame of when or if the work would be completed.) Instead I asked when a better time to come back would be, he says 2pm. Upon me returning home and waiting I received an email around noon that my order has been cancelled and to call to reschedule. Way before the 2pm time that the agent directed me to come back. I made an appointment elsewhere and had the work done the following day. To add insult to injury I receive a call a little over a week later asking me if I ordered tires. (Seriously?) If there was such concern why wait so long to contact me, or better yet cancel my appointment after you’ve asked me to come back later? Why not contact your daily appointments ahead of time if you realized you were short handed as a courtesy? Based on this experience I will never get anything on my car serviced at this location.
These guys hooked me up
Went to Pep Boys Laurel for a Mobil1 oil change ($90 after coupon) yesterday. This morning I get up for work only to find oil in my driveway. Ive owned my Tundra for 6 years (120k) and have Never had one drop of oil hit my Driveway. Glad I caught it before driving to work.. Very Disappointed and will be at the Laurel location as soon as they open tomorrow to get this issue resolved.
5 hours for an oil change and suspension check. That’s with a 9am appointment.
Excellent customer service
Bad services...
They close at 6 but if you call them to get any service done the same day, theyll tell you theyre closing at 5. Bad customer service.
Really should have read the reviews before I came. Also tried calling to inquire about my appointment yesterday and no one answered the phone for 30 minutes after I got transferred. My appointment for tire installation was at 10:00 am. I arrived at 9:50. It’s 1:10 and I’m still waiting. When I first arrived the manager told me 11 or 11:30. The staff was not rude- but I wish they were more honest about time expectations.
I was a loyal customer of Pep Boys from California last 3 year till i moved to Maryland. I came the Laurel branch last time 6 months ago. I Brought my car there for maintenance but the only thing they finished was replace oil change. My car’s coolant system was leaking but that season was cold, therefore the engine was not over heat. However, they did not even know or check it.
When I went in they said they had just got a new system and they was still trying learn to use it but other then that customer service was awesome
My favorite location by far
It was a great experience, everyone was friendly and professional. I was able to pickup my online order and checkout within 10 minutes. The store is kept very clean, there is plenty of room to walk around and shop for what your looking for. You can easily find the automotive repair counteras soon as you walk in.
They scratched my rim putting a new tire on......smh
Cameron, Anthony, Chuck, & Jim.... Thanks for your help. True customer service is difficult to find. I was there a while ago,.complaints are easy to to make. I just wanted to compliment you guys. Keep up the good work please
Good place to shop
Good customer service
Don’t even bother making an appointment online. There will be 5 other people with the same appointment! At least inform people that these appointments are not exact so we can plan our day. Service techs are helpful. Definitely something that needs to be fixed.
Service good, very helpful employees, estimated 2 hour to get done, but finished in 1 and half hourWill recommend
Im happy to say Ive never had a bad experience at this store. Quinten, the service manager, is attentive and very professional. I will return to this Pep-Boys store. Thank you!
My wife and I both work and have two young kids and one car so a couple hours to get tires is not the easiest thing to squeeze in. There were a lot of alternatives out there. However, the price for Pep Boys tires was very competitive, ordering and setting appointment online was easy, and the Laurel, MD store offered wifi so my wife went and worked while she waited. I purchase tires with a 60k mile warranty so we would not have to return for a while and set the appointment for 11 AM. My wife showed up at 10:15. After an hour they found that they only had two or four tires in stock and another store would have to deliver the other two. This would take until 1 PM. Fine. 1:15 and not tires. When I called to find out what was going on I was told I would be called back after they looked into it. No call back. They then offered my wife more expensive replacements at the same cost. 5-1/2 hours after arrival, at 3:45, the car is ready and they have given us tires with a 40K mile warranty (20k less than I wanted) that cost $20 more per tire and the best the could do was to knock the price down $70 in savings off the total original cost. When I expressed my displeasure about the shorter warranty, the best they could offer was that they would order the tires I wanted and when they were in I could *suggest* to the store manager that they replace the tires with the ones I wanted. In doing that, I would have to drive back out in traffic to this place, take off work or lose time with my wife and kids, sit for 2 to 6 hours waiting for the work, diminish further any discount in cost they did give us, and end up with what I wanted in the first place. I put in a complaint with their corporate customer service. I will revise when I see how well it is addressed, if at all.
Great service! I needed a very simple job done where other shops would tell me to replace entire parts just to increase the price of the service, I was able to get clear explanation and a simple solution to my issue. Thanks Pep Boys staff and mechanic.
I had made an appointment for noon for suspension work and an alignment. I got a call that morning asking if I could come in earlier because they needed more time than what was allotted (6 hours). The point of making an appointment is because I wasnt available in the morning. Anyway, the technician (Yaw) wasnt even there until 1PM! On top of that, one of the two parts that I ordered online wasnt at the Laurel store even though I received an email stating it was ready to be picked up. I ended up driving to another store to get it since 1) the tech wasnt there to work on my truck and 2) I was told the part would get the Laurel store until after 2PM (likely after 5PM). When I returned around 1:45PM, the tech told me he didnt have time to do the work, and that Id have to come back the next day. The tech seemed positive that hed finish before noon the next day if I brought it in, so I did. . The tech told me he couldnt do the work because some parts were both missing and wrong (which they were not). I even showed them the instructions on what needed to be done and how it to do it. If I had the proper equipment, I couldve done it myself... Bottom line, they were lazy. I got so many excuses as to why they couldnt do the work, and that I basically had to spend more money from their store to install the right parts. I went to 4 Wheel Parts right after; it took them 3 hours to do the job and do it well. Dont waste your time with Pep Boys.
It was ok at best. They were friendly but reserved and didnt even offered a bag to put my purchase in.
I love this store. Very nice workers, and nice system of ordering online (usually online items are at a discount) and picking up in store. Great selection and very fair prices.
Great place. It has all your car needs for any emergency you may have. Highly recommend them and they have great prices plus good quality products.
I stopped in to Pep Boys hoping for a quick flat repair before I went into work. I didnt have an appointment but they were able to get me in very quickly. I ended up having to purchase a new tire but I have to say that the customer service was excellent. Donte Grier was the representative who took care of my car and provided me with quick and quality service. I also enjoyed the new waiting area which has recently been updated. Overall this was a great experience, I will definitely be going back and would recommend this store to anyone.
Im giving these people one star for lack of choice. The store, by the way, is located in Laurel, MD off Md 198. I went to the shop for a tune up, and ended up running to this mechanic with a monster attitude, who also is way ahead of himself. He approached me and unprofessionally asked why I was at the shop, but before I finished telling him my business, he ORDERED me to take my vehicle to an engine shop. Hoping the manager will resolve this matter, I entered the shop and started to wait in line. It took the manager approximately 25 minutes just to handle one customers business. At the speed of a turtle, you wouldnt expect anything better! In the meanwhile, he went back to the back and spoke to the guy who saw me first. As soon as he came back and it was my turn, he as well told me to take my vehicle to an engine shop because my engine didnt sound right. I have not questioned him as I learned that these people are not there to do a useful business, but to play around and annoy loyal customers like me. With my car issue still unsolved, I started to erase their address from my google maps memory while I was heading to my car. I dont know if the corporate guys in PA know how these people irritate customers here in Maryland, but this review is just here to warn good and hard working people about the poor service that the Laurel Pep Boys provide.
DO NOT COME HERE. I took my car to get an alignment job and they ended up DESTROYING MY BUMPER. I came into the store and informed the manager but he immediately denied it and claimed that We do not lift vehicles for alignment jobs. Which is an outright lie!(I guess he assumed i didnt know anything about how vehicles are serviced) I then asked him if I could open up a case with customer service and his reply was that there is no such thing I call customer service and open a case, i spoke with a number of managers over the course of a few weeks(i was being tossed back and fourth). I was then promised $275 for the damages by a senior director named Steve hincle. Its been over 3 months and i have not heard back. I sent messages to to him of all my receipts for the replacement parts as i was instructed. I did manage to get a hold of him a few times and he informed me that he will be sending the check out soon. After that i called over 10 times on different dates, left voice mails, called corporate and no response. WORST COMPANY TO DEAL WITH!!!!! YOUR BETTER OFF GOING TO MERCHANTS OR MR.TIRE!!!!!!!!
This location broke my car and now pep boys is taking their sweet time to fix it and is refusing a rental car. My lawyer said he’ll have a field day with this one. Avoid at all costs if it’s anything other than a tire change.
Ive been coming to this Pep Boys in Laurel since moving to MD in 2009. Ive always been pleased with the customer service and work since I only come for oil changes. I came in Nov 2017 and this was my first time dealing with one specific mechanic. He gets easily distracted and takes a long time to complete a basic oil change. I came in Feb 2018 and the same mechanic worked on my car. I was the first customer at 9am. The mechanic pulled my car to the back at 9:30, popped the hood and that was all he did until I complained at 10am. For that half hour, he was talking to co-workers, on break, talking to neighborhood kids. After complaining to the manager, the mechanic finally lifted my car to drain the oil at 10am. He BS around for 30min. He arrived at 9am and went on break at 9:30 while he has a waiting customer. Terrible work ethics.
Not Your Normal Visit. I couldnt get my gas cap off LOL. Of all things but they were very sweet to me they try to make sure we could get it off without having to go to the next level. Love these guys very professional very helpful.
Wish I would have seen these reviews before I came to this location. My appointment was at 1 pm and I am STILL here (almost 4 pm), waiting for my car to have new tires installed. After them not having the tire inventory at the appt time (which was confirmed 2 days ago!), after leaving and coming back, still nothing. When I came back, I was told theyre taking it back now. 30 minutes passed and my car still hasnt moved. I inquired, again, what the update was and again, they were just finishing on another car and taking my car back. The associate then took my car to the back, where it has been for another 30 minutes and hasnt been touched. Calling 1-800 was no help and the representative hung up on me when there wasnt anything they could do for me and had to be handled all in store. If I could give 0 stars I would but all I can do is be mindful to never shop at Pepboys again.
I went in to ask a question about getting an alignment and the guy at the counter was not so nice at all. I have been to several place in the past and my alignment took only 1-2 hours. The guy told me I would have to come back at 8pm which was 6 hours. So I asked him for another appointment because I planned on waiting because I don’t have a ride. He gave me another day. I came in at my scheduled time and a guy by the name of Patel left me standing at the counter for 15 minutes while he talked to someone about not work related items. He finally came to me and I told him I had an appointment. He said I have to let you know it won’t be ready until later. Once again I told him I made this appointment because I don’t have away to come back so I made it so I could wait. He told me that is not his problem and did I want to do it or not He was very rude and this is the second time I had issues here. My first encounter was my battery was put in wrong and blew fuses.
So,..I am newish to the area and I have used Pep Boys in other states. My experience was very good. My appointment was 8am, too replace 4 tires. My car was in by 8:20am. The price was lower than the quote online. As with all things shop around for value,..schedule ahead and my results have been generally positive.
I had a appointment at 9 am today and im still waiting he said there was 3 cars before me before i signed the service order however i noticed there was people who showed up after me and they are now gone so i just ask the clerk at the desk are they going in order by the way they come in or what he said i was next so we will see. I believe if people make appointments and show up on time they should be serviced as scheduled but hey who am I just another paying customer!
Courtesy and good service... military oriented.
Worse store to visit. Rude staff and nothing is in place where it suppose to belong. Dirty floor and employees not friendly to help. Any missing item/ part from the shelves, ask to an employee and answer is sorry we dont keep anything in the backroom, if it is not on the shelves we dont have it.Definitely wont recommend this store location to anyone.
Ive been calling for more then 20min and no one has answered
Yesterday I stop by @6 to see if one of the service guys can look at my tire because my sensor came on about a tire. The guy said all he can do is put air in it and look at tire tomorrow. SO going home on the parkway 20 min later the tire BLEW, it was a nail in it that the service guy would have found if he would have looked,I could have been in a horrible accident. So Thanks to the lazy service worker I need a new tire. The shop close at 8 so he had time to look and plug :( I will report this to corporate
Quentin over in repair was great. My tires were delayed coming in and he apologized (despite it being in no way the locations fault) my car was taken care of in a very timely manner considering the volume coming in, and I am very pleased with my tires. Quentin rocks!
I called around 6pm to ask if someone would be available to change a headlight since their hours were til 8pm. First person puts me on hold for 6mins to checkthen another person comes on the line and just says hello like they have no idea why Im in hold so I explain someone was checking to see if my headlight could be replaced and the guy literally says not tonight and hangs up on me!?
Arrived at pep boys today for a 1:00 appointment at 1 pm. While i was waiting there, because I did not have a way to go home and was expecting it to be only an hour, I was told 25 minutes into waiting that there was a car in front of me. I was told that person was being serviced first and I would have to wait another 40 minutes before they would even start on my car. I asked the man to give me a call when they were bringing my car in, to which he said yes, but then never called me. I proceeded to go for a walk while I waited for my call and then returned to find my car was still not finished. Overall, it took about 2 h and 15 minutes to get my new tires put on.Another man helped me at the register and was confused about why it took so long. He was very kind and gave me a discount for my long wait. Due to his kindness I will probably return but beware, their appointment booking system is flawed and you may be waiting a long time.
Staff is knowledgeable and helpful! Will come back for all my car needs. Chuck was amazing!
In the last 4 months, Ive been to this location 3 different times to get my brakes fixed. The second time was because my brakes kept screaming after they were replaced in the initial visit - this was less than a month after. The mechanic made me take him on a drive and told me you need to fix the way you drive. Your brakes are making that sound because of the way you drive. Thats how he assessed it. He said it was my fault. It was my fault the brakes were scraping a month after being replaced by HIM.In the most recent visit, I was told it would take 1.5 - 2 hours to fix my brakes AGAIN - I sat there for 6 hours. I spent over $600+ to replace my pads and rotors. Guess what? My brakes still squeal and moan.Dont ever go to this place. Theyre a bunch of crooks.I plan on contacting Corporate after this post for my money back in full.
Dont go here. My car is less than a year old. I went in to get a tire plugged. That took 3 hours. But thats not the end of it. Later that evening I discovered that my tail lights were not working!!! They were fine before I went to that place!!!
They are very good in keeping things in stock I would not go anywhere else for my parts but pep boys
This location has constant issues with service appointments. It wasnt until after several failed attempts at scheduling an appointment (it kept getting pushed back or Im told it cant be done the day I scheduled it) that I finally got my car in for an oil change, and THAT was only after I insisted they honor my appointment and that I would not be available the rest of the week. This led to the technicians having to stay beyond closing to finish my car. Nobody wants this.Management: Seriously consider an overhaul or at least a reevaluation of your appointment system. Do NOT have appointment slots available online after 6pm if you know you wont be able to fit them in, it only leads to frustration on everyones part, customers and technicians.Chucks customer presence could be better, but I dont even care so much about that. I dont need my mechanic to smile at me. As long as I get what I need at a fair price, I could really care less what happens between dropping off my car and driving away. What I cant tolerate is poorly managed service and an apparent lack of interest in making changes.Jiffy Lube on 2nd street had my friend in and out in 40 minutes on a Saturday afternoon with no appointment, and at a cheaper price, even after applying Pep Boys worthless coupon. The coupons appear to be nothing more than a marketing ploy. As proof, I was quoted the discounted price before I even stated I had a coupon to use. After I said I had a coupon I was told the price I was quoted included the discount. The regular price is not competitive, so they would never actually quote it to a customer.I wont be back to this location.
Prices are made up it seems! Customer service is horrible. Please your better off going to a family owned car shop, pep boys in laurel is full of it and lack professionalism. So sad so sad
Absolute joke of a business. Came to get a standard oil change and took almost 4 hours!! Customer service is horrible. Quentin is the only person that was even close to being helpful, but he was so busy all the time because everyone else was tending around not doing anything. Don’t wast your time this place is horrible
Got what you would be looking for. Some of the clerks you talk to for scheduling car repairs are either rude or slow. Like 5 customers waiting and theres only 1 person behind the counter slow. While the other clerks are trying to look busy. No team effort from what I been seeing. 4stars because of the variety and they take care of you for the most part, but better customer service would be appreciated
Very very bad and embarrassing customer service. older woman at front desk is rude, disrespectful and sad, Also came in to ask for a price quote, they were very hesitant to give it since they said they have to diagnose the issue first. I told them exactly what the issue is, what parts I need just seeing how much they charge, the guy still rejected so I left.Be careful going here, you will be treated with high disrespect, you won’t get any info that you need and God forbid if you ask them a question.Never coming here again.
Went to have my oil changed and they did not secure the cap causing oil to spew out and all over my engine which in turn created smoke. That never happened before so I took it back to have them look at it only for them to tell me that it wasnt oil it was an anti-freeze and to bring it back another day so that they could fix it. Me knowing better, I took it another mechanic for them to look at and I was right. They did not secure the cap causing the oil to spew. Needless to say, I WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!!
I had professional services from the counter employee
I got my tires changed here on my Jeep Wrangler. It took around three hours which is very reasonable and at a good price. It was good service Id say.
Had an emergency where my tire cracked overnight and went flat. I had an appointment to change my tires already the next Monday and had order tires but time ran out. Pep Boys was the only local place I could find with the tires I was looking for. They said they could get the tires changed same day and I was relieved. Unfortunately, they were charging $60 more than most other places but I was in a jam. They said they would price match so I brought my invoice from my original order as well as other retailers to try to get the price to a more reasonable point. Patel seemed very hesitant to work with me on the price match but Quentin was able to help and we agreed on the price I had brought to them. It was rocky but I was happy. On the way home I received a call from from them stating that the price I showed them was only if I signed up for a promotion online. I didnt have a chance to verify so I said go ahead and get the work done. Once home I checked the pricing and it turned out that I was right and the price was what it was. I did not need an additional promotion to receive the advertised pricing on the website. So when I went back to pick up my car I pointed out to them that the pricing was correct and they must have misread orisunderstood the pricing. They spent 20 minutes sifting through the website I showed them and somehow found nothing. All while I did the same thing in front of them on my iPad and was able to find the tires immediately and even get to check out to prove there was no sign up needed. They proceeded to ignore me and scroll through the site saying there was nothing there. Eventually Quentin (In a tone of irritation and tiredness) said to just give me the price WE ORIGINALLY AGREED UPON and Patel them spent another 10 minutes applying the discount (he was actually checking the site as well) then in a snarky tone points out that shipping would take another week (As if that justifies charging me more). Eventually he begrudgingly totals me out at the original price and I leave. The tires were also covered in some yellow residue and were very obviously not cleaned after being worked on. (More of a nitpick but honestly the experience was pretty taxing.) Needless to say I wont be returning. I know that it wasnt convenient for them to mark down the tires but I dont feel that I was being difficult and I was sure to have proper proof of pricing but they treated me like I was pulling their teeth out. Disappointing.
I have looked at multiple locations for reasonable priced truck batteries and they were way overpriced. I come into this store and was immediately greeted by Mia. She found us a cheaper rate than any other shop. Thanks Pep Boys! Will be coming back
My husband and I went in to get all four of our tires changed plus mounted and balanced. We get there a little before our appointment time and turn over our keys. An hour later, they finally get the car up on the lift. Fifteen minutes later, they take the tires off and call my husband to come back so they can show him the brake caliber and rotor (which we know are messed up). We tell them we dont want them to fix it, we have a mechanic for that. Another hour later, they have the driver side tires back on, but not the passenger side. They call my husband to go back out there to show him the now busted tie rod. The same tire that the brake caliber they just showed him is the same tire that housed the tie rod that is now broken. It was not broken when my husband went out there the first time to look at it. We get the manager, he goes out and takes a look, and then he comes back telling us it wasnt their fault. He goes into detail about how these things cant be knocked out without force and shows us that the parts are old. Then he goes on to contradict himself by saying the mechanic probably bumped it out of place when he was putting the tire back on. When the mechanic showed my husband the tie rod, the tire was not yet on the car. Now we have to figure out how to afford a new tie rod because they refuse to take responsibility. By the way, Im pregnant and the broke equipment is on my side of the car.
And the worst place the employees are so bad and have no information about the products, I bought tires and scheduled the service, when I arrived I was not ready, the guy took my wheels apart and disappeared for some time when he came back he was on his cell phone all the time while I waited for the coarse dose of the attendant that was the hour of the service, it took almost two hours just to change 4 tires, I waited 3 hours beyond the predicted.
Employees are rude and conduct personal business without assisting the customer. I had to walk out because everyone that was able handle a car drop off were on a smoke break.
Took my car into pep boys and to have rear brakes done.It took 3 days to get back thats ok because they stated that up front. But the day it was picked up the brake pedal was soft my wife drove it any, By Friday morning the brake fluid low light is on.When I call they give no priority since my brake system was not leaking before I brought it to Pep Boys but it sure is now.
So far so good, nice professional attitudes, and nice pricing. Carwash would have put the icing on the cake for any service on a car that takes more than one business day.
Very unorganized...
I went there for testing car Battery to check if i needed a new battery. They told me they couldnt do test since their testing machine was broken. They suggested i go to Auto Zone.
5 stars! We went in and as soon as we opened the door, a gentlemen runs to us to help us. Give that guy a raise! Ill write his name down soon
Thanks to the lady who found the rims I needed to get me back on the road and working . After multiple tries to a variety of places . I hit a dead end finding rims to fit my car due to the off set. The Glen Burnie Pep Boys has a know it, knows nothing or not as much as he thinks he assumed my rims were 7 or 7 .5 they were an 8 if he would have let me give him the information I gave the lady maybe I would have been back on road weeks ago. Thanks To The Lady at Pep Boys in Laurel.👋👊.
