I have been going to Lake Mead Hardware for almost 30yrs, and the staff and management have always been Top Notch... They have always had everything you could want or need... I know professionally that they always come through when everyone else cant.... Very knowledgeable staff, lots of parts that home depot and lowes dont have in stock. They were able to tell me the name of a part I had needed for 2 years from my very vague description. Support your local businesses. They know their stuff!

Something I didnt get to until now. This happened a few months back. I brought in the cover to my irrigation filter which was broken to use for reference. And an older heavy set male working there suggested that I may have taken that out of a bag of a complete set. I told him no that I brought it to use as reference to get the correct size. He then replied that people have been taking parts and pieces off of things and stealing them, he said this very sternly and as if he was still accusing me and with no apology. I dont like to be accused of stealing.This store is very useful and at times its a necessity to use this store, I wish I could just write a review on the employee. I hope this review gets to the right person and he gets talked to. Other than this interaction, the rest of the employees have always been helpful and nice. Ive been coming to this store since I was a child with my dad.

Nothing compares to a neighborhood shop. Weather it be hats, comic books, bikes or in this case hardware. I am only 49 but in my times I have been to some old school hardware stores that no longer exist.Mead hardware always comes thru!1. Greatest staff!2. Hard to find items!3. They have everything and decent prices too. I needed plumbing pieces for my water softener because I couldn’t afford the $400 the plumber quoted me. I didn’t know how to connect it with the weird loop that was on there, but the staff here was able to get me exactly what I needed to connect the water softener. I needed two 1 inch connecting water lines and they weren’t in stock. No fear because he went right away and had the clerk order a set for me. I was referred here by my son’s grandfather who always got his stuff from here! He was right, it is still the best plumbing store since I’ve been here the past 30 years. This is the place to go folks. If Lowes or Home depot dont have it, Meads hardware will. People are knowledgable about what they sale and are nice people with helping you out. I recommend this store

Summertime puts a real strain on my ac units. When my capacitors give out, Meade ALWAYS has replacements in stock. Living in Vegas, you can’t be without AC for even 1 summer day. Count on Meade to have the capacitor of yours give up on you.

Needed a part for a plumbing repair. They had it in was cheaper than the competitors.

I was very impressed with the service. From the moment I walked into the store, I was greeted and was helped immediately with the specific screws that I had struggled finding elsewhere. The friendly attitude from the cashier made me feel very welcomed as a first time customer to the establishment. Furthermore, all the businesses were conducted safely with everyone wearing their masks.

They had few items home depot and Lowes didnt and for a better price and too knotch professional staff 3 thumbs way up👍👍👍

The lady when coming in the store told me the wrong isle t go to. But theres no fault with that. Stuff happens. The customer service was fine and the one at the cashier went quickly which I appreciated since I was in a hurry.

You can find the plumbing you need for a older home and they have good service.👍

This is the place to go if you cannot find it. They also carry some of the best insecticides on the market. Staff is super friendly and helpful. A gentleman thoughtfully brought me a shopping cart so I didnt have to struggle with my purchases.

Good thing home depot does not carry copper fittings bigger than an 1, expected the fittings to be expensive but was surprised to find them priced well below what I thought I would pay, from now on its Meads Hardware before Ferguson or home depot. Thanks Mead for saving my day, I thought I was going to have to wait until the next day to get the material I needed from Ferguson, Meads is open 7 days a week, what a life changer.

Live on the complete opposite side of town and still make the drive for the reliability for the small parts no other popular hardware stores have, the same as Meads Hardware has.

Chris helped me find the items I needed on my list that they carried, told me where I might be able to find what they didnt carry and even suggested a couple different solutions entirely that I hadnt thought of before.Definitely will be back here, great people are what a local hardware store is all about!

This is a local ( to me anyways) hardware store, and I frequent here at least once a month, if not more. For the most part they are busy if not steady at the least, but... they always answer questions and usually have a floor person answering questions. They may not be the cheapest but they know what they are actually talking about ( unlike big box stores), so you know what youre buying will solve your problem. 5 stars from me

I love Mead Hardware,every time I need a part a tool or if Im in a bind at a job they have had what I needed when I needed it.I recommend if youre in the construction industry or engineering this is the place for you.

Went in to get an outdated gate valve because I heard this place has everything new and old, was helped by a dark haired taller guy in plumbing section, mid-late 50-s, mustache(credit where credit is deserved, missed his name). He was a huge help, very knowledgeable, and he took 5 minutes in the middle of a busy time out his schedule to help me get a soldering job done. Even gave me the ol bread in the pipe trick to dry out the pipe before reconnecting, smooth down the spot your heating to get conduction, snakebite attachment. I bought the valve not sure I needed it just because the information was the kinda stuff people make you pay for these days. Truly a diamond in a corporatized rough. And the part he recommended worked like a charm. This place is great.

Best old-fashioned hardware store going. Instead of having people who know nothing like the chain stores, at Meads you talk with seasoned professionals. Their prices are a little more than the abovementioned places, but their expertise has saved me far more money than buying ignorance on sale. Ive been a customer since 1993 and never disappointed.

I have frequented meads for the last decade and unfortunately have been there for the last time. The policy of not accepting electronic payment if under 5 dollars is annoying but not a deal breaker. However the rude and disrespectful kid behind the register is. His attitude toward my wife was disgusting and the manner in which he spoke to her will not be tolerated from anyone. All because she made a wrong turn in the store. I would not expect someone to speak to a dog the way she was treated. I always tried to support small business and would use the local hardware store as opposed to the big box down the road even if it was a little more expensive. Not anymore.

I had a plumbing problem on a Sunday that neither of the big box stores had parts for. Luckily Mead’s Hardware was open.Their sales counter guy, Mo, was very knowledgeable and helpful. Great service and support.

This is that place that is an answer to a prayer when you dont have a prayer left. They have absolutely the largest selection of mobile home faucet stems and seats Ive ever seen! Need plumbing parts when the plumbing stores are closed? Meads is the place. Weve been coming here for 50 years and Im not about to change now!!
