Pleasant atmosphere. The employees are very helpful and friendly. They have a wonderful variety of organic foods. So anyone whos into non-gmo and organic products this is the place to go for your healthy lifestyle choices.
The best little co-op in cruces. So sad to hear of your business closing. Hope you all can get something else going in the future. Best of luck. Stay strong. Co-ops rock!
This was our first trip there, and we were shopping for friends; we were completely lost with the layout. A wonderful lady, Kim, took us in tow and we quickly got everything on our list. Very friendly staff, and a terrific selection of natural, organic products. Give them a visit!
Kicka$$ workers and managers! I used to work there over a decade ago and it has grown so much. If you like natural, organic or local food this place is the best. Only place in town that have this selection. They are also still very helpful even through this pandemic. I always recommend to people.
This is THE place to go in Las Cruces for your grocery needs. Support local and shop healthy at the same time. My daughters *LOVE* the smoothies and honey sticks. They are also SO helpful with vegetarian and vegan options/ transitions.
A pleasant atmosphere with friendly staff. Remember, most people are members which means theyve paid money to part of the co op. The range of goods is much wider than it was even five years ago. The staff is also knowledgeable about vitamins, skin and hair care, and recipes for the products in the store. A bit more expensive, but the quality of the produce makes up for the difference.
I come here everytime Im visiting Las Cruces. I love this Co-Op. It has fresh food, salad bar, sandwiches, smoothies, groceries, household, body care, bulk & pet items. Many items are from the local farmers & vendors. The staff is very friendly and available to assist in questions I have. I highly recommend shopping here.
The co+op is an excellent place to shop! They have a great selection, and great deals (especially for member owners). My favorite thing about the Co+op is Thursday $3 dinner! Its always fun to bring a friend and see who I run in to. Posole night is out of this world.
Found the store bright and shiny. All food I bought was very good. Great buy on chicken breasts.I really liked shopping here. I will be back.
I absolutely love this local grocery store! Grocery shopping used to be a dreaded experience for me…standing in line with other grumpy people, overwhelmed by plethora of junk food. A friend suggested my husband and I try the Mountain View Market CoOp. I am so grateful she did! They have a great selection of nutritious, organic products from many local farmers and vendors, and the staff members are welcoming. I especially like the produce, bulk, and salad/hot bar sections. I feel empowered by knowing that the money I spend on food is supporting my body, the community, and the planet.
So sorry to see this local institution closing after 45 years. Positive thoughts out to all the employees as they move to their next opportunity.
The Mountain View Market Co-op is one of my favorite places in town. They have a great selection of produce, local goods, and local coffee. I would definitely come through during lunch or dinner for their hot bar. Ive been several times and it never disappoints. They have both meat and vegetarian options, so regardless of your diet they will have something for you.
Your go-to place for locally grown organic produce and health supplements. They also stock items you would find in Trader Joes and Whole Foods, neither of which we have in our city. They also offer a $3 dinner (eat in or take out) every Thursday night with a vegan option.
The grocery store is a bit small, but this is a great local place to find organic, health, and specialty items. They have a little cafe and a small (but tasty) hot bar and some delicious soups. They make fresh juices and smoothies to order. They also have a nice grab-and-go section. I stopped here on my way from Albuquerque to El Paso, and liked it so much I stopped there on the way back as well!
Although I do not do much shopping in the store, my wife and I love the Mountain View Kitchen. We eat there just about every Sunday. By far our favorite salad bar in town and the rotating hot dishes are always delicious, organic and nutritious.Staff is friendly and store seems to have a decent selection of local and organic grown food.
Going out of business. OuchI just arrived in Cruces. Forty five years. Holy Cow. Very sorry to see them leave
My favorite place for true organic produce and locals products. reasonable prices and great food!
The grocery part has everything: produce, meat, bulk, goodies. The hot food bar was amazing, my family eats mostly gluten free so it was great to have so many options for brunch. The gingerbread pancakes were on point. We came for the raw milk, but unfortunately it delivers on Monday so Saturday its all gone. Still a cool place.
Really nice store. Would love to see more bulk herbs but the place has a great selection of other health food items.
Wow right by my house its just like traders joe, Wholefoods etc great love it
I like the herbs.I bought Tortilla chips here. They were delicious.Dont buy your dog cow hooves. We bought some for my friends dogs birthday. They stink, real bad. Not good for road trips.
Wonderful environment to shop or hang out in.I buy all my bulk items here and the prices are decent.Prices on produce and other items are a little high but what can you expect with a super war mart (yes, War Mart) right down the road and a total of 3 so far in this city of lost causes, NMJuice bar and cafe are a wonderful combination in this health and organic oriented business.I would give it a five star rating but some of the prices are to high.I was sad to see the Kitchen on Main go away.
I love this place! Great customer service! The restaurant is awesome! Very healthy and tasty options! The $3 Thursday dinners are a great bargain!!
I love this place! Buying local is important to me and I LOVE that we have a health food store that offers local products! The staff is helpful and courteous. They even let me call and have them pull and pay for an item when I am sending my husband for something specific. Really great place!
MVMCO is confusing to me. The store is on the dark side, probably because theyre trying to save on electricity or something. The prices are high, esp. compared to their competitor Sprouts. I was stopping by to pick up some English muffins that turned out to be $6.99, and the identical product is sold at Walmart for $4.99. The store feels empty compared to Natural Grocers or Sprouts. If money is no object and you live close, and need a few natural food or product basics, this place would be fine.
I usually go there when in LasCruses for a really good and safe place to eat, little buffet. Ingredients are listed for the public. Also great place to pick up organic grocries.
Inconvenient to have to wait to be let inside, waited but I get it, everyone in fear aited, gave up and as I drove away I notice a woman walking in. But no one had exited!! Needed to resupply my monthly bmneeds and pay for my membership, but that will be thrown in the trash now!!
I went into the coop yesterday for the first time in years. There was so much wasted space in the back, a person seeing only that would think they weren’t in business. A lot of good products. I found people willing to spend the time to help me find or understand what I needed. Didn’t go into the cafe.
This is my spot ... Join the co op market support you locals .. very friendly staff always have hot food ready to go ..
Really good cabbage soup to pack up and take home if you dont want to make your own. Great variety of flours, trail mix items, organic items, chocolates etc. . Its kinda like a mini Whole Foods.
Super nice organic prioritized store, great for those discerning, customers!
Love shopping here they carry local produce, local raw honey. Hot bar salad bar. Nice helpful people.
Mountain View Market is a CO-OP market that sells organic products. This market is great. The employees are nice and the products are always fresh.
We found lots of the same items we get from the coop back home. Very happy.
Came here to get honey,(by bulk) its a legit place to shop, love the handcrafted soaps, its was an amazing experience, will definitely come back to shop..from El Paso,TX
Love the natural and organic shopping experience I get every time I visit. And the staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable.
I dearly wish they would move to a better part of town. This is NOT a good area, and seeing the street people come in and around the store is not fun, or safe.Yesterday alone I saw two serious incidents of road rage two blocks from the co op, as well as some young gang members who were visiting their grand parents in a public housing development not far away. Reminds me too much of Abq.I could do all of my food shopping here....if I had unlimited funds! Things can be pricey. But its the only semi funky place I know of where I can shop and have coffee w/o having being bothered by ill mannered, loud yuppies. The phony, politically correct mafiaso that come in to the co op are pretty funny to see and hear though, so you do get some free entertainment for your money.
Great little store. It would be nice if they could increase selection.
Staff are so helpful and thoughtful. Crystal noticed how much kombucha we purchase. On our next visit she educated we could order a case in order to save some money.
What a super cool grocery store. We found everything we needed (except alcohol ;) the staff was friendly and informative on products and company background. I am a member of the Montanita Co-op in Albuquerque and am looking forward to when our memberships are shared!
One of the most important stores for All your organic food. So many wonderful pesticide free organic products. I appreciate the extra effort the staff gives you, especially when you need speciality items.
A wonderful place to get everything fresh. Organically done.
For a place that sells homemade soaps, and lots of natural items I was taken back by the no shoes policy- because of the type of store and audience that supports this store this was the place I least expected to be declined service for no shoes. I am a barefooter, I shop a lot of local places barefoot, even go into chain stores barefooted and I’ve never been declined service anywhere but this establishment. I also paid for a membership that I won’t be using and I also won’t be refunded back./Users/ashleyschoenradt/Desktop/Screen Shot 2019-09-26 at 3.01.15 PM.png They want local to support them but don’t support their community members in return regardless of their lifestyle of living without shoes. Also, it isn’t like I am handing you money with my feet 😒😒😒 so I guess I’m confused 🤷♀️Also it is consider as a type of discrimination according to United State Department of Justice 28 CFR Part 36.
My favorite place to shop. They sell local produce and the clerks are very polite and helpful. Best of all, no long lines!
This is the only store of this kind, that I know of, in the Alamogordo area. (Other than in el Paso) I loved it! They have a great selection and options for non-single-use packaging, as well as bulk liquid/cleaners.
Hipster joint, but good selection of food directly from farms. Very nice people.
MVM has great beef prices. I love the bulk candy & the great selection of local produce. Great local grocery store
I dont like to leave a bad review for a local company, but come on guys! The food bar is not good at all. It is also outrageously over priced. Ive got only 1/3 of a stomach (I cant eat much) and my and my sons lunch was over 30 bucks. They had a potato soup that tasted horrifying. I know you guys can do better than this.
Great organic and local products selection.
Yeah, Im trying to be more sensible about what I eat. My new years resolution: no more eating at restaurants that have a drive-thru. MVM is where I now go for lunch. I buy other foods and groceries there, as well. It aint cheap, but you know how it is: this is America and you gotta pay for the good stuff.
Good place, love the soups, you can find healthy food sandwiches and drinks along with, vitamins and minerals in the health sectionYou need to belong to the co-ap or you pay a little extra but is work it .is for a good cause
The co op is a great local resource. Yes its granola healthy, but thats whats appealing about it. You know that most if not all of your food will be fresh and locally grown.
LOVE this place! Only wish El Paso had something like it. Its almost worth the drive to Cruces just to go. I love so much about this place. You really have to check it out to get the full grasp of its awesomeness!
I used to come here for hot sandwiches then the service went got kinda terrible. Didnt come back for several months and now they did away with hot sandwiches and now sell cold sandwiches that are really small but way over priced. My sandwich had one single piece of soggy lettuce, and one tomato slice that was clearly old. Cost $4 and I get more full with a Cliff bar. They have also cut back a lot on the vegan selection in the market as well. So disappointed I wasted my time coming here for my very limited lunch time. I will never come back its a complete waste of time and money.
Love this, Im able to get the things I need at a decent price n still easy healthy
I like their selection, their staff are always attentive, friendly and helpful, prices are reasonably competitive and I love supporting our local businesses!
I am a member here and I trust the products that I buy. Not only are the products great but the customer service is kind and respectful. Amazing business
My hunny gets food here all the time good place for health stuff
Love love love having this market in Las Cruces NM. It is so LOCAL and so progressively throwback! UNIQUE
This is a nice little store that sells mostly organic/vegetarian/vegan products and also has a cafe inside. The staff have all been nice from my experience. Would recommend.
Love the food they make it is delicious. They have a lot of great vegan options!! I love coming here for all of the spices, herbs, and the food.
We like to support this local market. Found bone broth in the frozen section, was very pleased with the quality.
Love their kitchen! They have everything you need in terms of organic produce and healthy eats, on top of that you can order lunch from the kitchen and its all organic options as well. Great place!
This is structured very much like a Whole Foods or a Sprouts, but I think the selection is better (more interesting) and, of course, the prices lower. Be sure to try the popcorn chicken tofu at the hot bar.
Great prices. Awesome selection. Friendly staff. Organics
This place has great health food and most of it is locally sourced!!
I love the co-op! Salad bar, soup bar, hot bar.
Friendly staff, extremely helpful very well managed, I wouldn’t go any where else for my local food needs.
This place is a gem in our little city, the member discounts are great, there is so much that you cant find anywhere else in town. All of the local items are clearly marked making it easy for those who like to support local businesses and live sustaineably.
In town for the weekend. Had a great smoothie. Very nice people.
Love the food and vegan options. The food never disappoints and theres local produce.
Great selection for vegetarians; check out their $3 dinners on Thursdays!
Amazing health food store. They offer everything from vegan, gluten free to free range meats and eggs and everything in between. Staff is always friendly and helpful.
We love the people that work here. Theyve got an awesome hot food and salad bar. Good food to order as well.
This Co-Op is honestly an embarrassment to the cooperative values. They took out a member loan over three years ago and have absolutely no intention of paying back thousands of people. The management is poor and more interested into trying to mold the store into a corporate copy. The general manager (third one in two years I might add) worked at Whole Foods and Trader Joes and knows nothing about why people fall in love with cooperatives and local business. This store has so much potential but its become legitimately embarrassing watching as their (members) money goes down the drain and they try and grasp on to competition and fail. Poor upper management and lack of support from their board of directors will be the reason this store fails and our community is out hundreds of thousand of dollars.
Always great products and produce.
Always a pleasure to visit the coop and wonderful staff
Im an old member of the coop i am back prices have stabilized the clerical staff is very efficient and welcoming.
Great options and always a leader for the community in business model and options of products.
Caring folks, great local place to shop.
Love this community run store. Best selection for allergy diets. Nice knowledgeable folks work there.
I like to support local business. This store has a large variety of organic foods.
Very helpful staff, and some decent prices on dried herbs
Different foods available and the prices are not more than Albertsons. You can find some hard to find items for cooking and fresh local produce.
Great local organic produce, and they carry raw milk and some raw milk products, which can be hard to find in the grocery stores. As can be expected, its considerably pricier than the average stores, but they do have great specials
Glad to have hot sandwiches back!
Wish we had a co-op in El Paso! We go regularly for fresh local produce (same vendors as the local farmers markets but on our schedule) and raw milk mmmm.
One of the best places I’ve ever shopped
Good selection for a co-op but prices are a little high.
I always find what Im looking for. The employees are so helpful.
Always an excellent experience. Whether for daily groceries or one of their many community events.
I bought a bottle of Castor oil and was bad so I took it back and if you dont get a receipt you wont be able to get your money back. Luckily I found another oil that was good you can tell with the color.
Great coop with super selections. Our family here became members because we like it so much.
Great store, i go there from time to time to get items new to me that are not caried by other local stores. kind of like a treassure hunt.
Been a co-op member since 2001. Very convenient location
Love this place! Have had great responsiveness with customer service about product orders and really love their thoughtful selection of products.
I shopped at the Willy St Co-op for years in Madison, WI. This Co-op has no consistency. Their kitchen is constantly changing items, no hot sandwiches etc...and their prices are ridiculous. I attribute this to poor management and a luke warm board of directors. Just look at the turn over rate with employees. More kids come and go through that place than uncles day at, well you know. That says it all right there. As a memeber of this community I would NEVER trust this place with my money, not just in spending it there but also in supporting it. Lets see what happens when Sprouts pops up.
All the hippie food I was looking for, with friendly staff and relaxed vibe.
Clean, friendly, great food, awesome grocery deals. Who said eating healthy is expensive!?
