My wife and I got the One-On-One Personal Training Session from Shad…it was AWESOME!!! Very informative in firearm safety, handling and use that was easily understood. His instructions and teaching method is exemplary when it comes to understanding the firearms you are learning to use and becoming proficient at using them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND the stores and training classes…no matter what level your ability is…always great to get different perspectives.

Went to Mad Dog for the first time today and had a great experience. They handled my transfer very professionally and explained every step of the process. Jennifer was a great communicator both over the phone when I called and in person. The main reason I chose them was because the gun shop near me is very weak at getting back to you or answering emails. Michael Webb, who handles the Internet communications was great and responded quickly. They had a good inventory of firearms on hand and miscellaneous firearm related items. I will definitely be doing business with them again. Class act operation!

You will find friendly and well trained staff at the Mad Dog Armory. Pricing seems better compared to other firearm shops in the area. I took the Full Monty class last month and recommend it due to high quality training and same-day certification provided (needed for concealed permit application).

I was happy they had the right SIG magazines I needed. Processing payment was easy, I didnt mind paying the shipping rates during times like these and I got my order in a few days. The best staff! They’ve helped me in the purchase and transfers of my firearms and have been nothing but knowledgeable and friendly every time. On top of a great selection of firearms and usually have a good amount of ammo in stock, it’s the first place I recommend.

My wife, daughter and I attended a concealed weapons class with an amazing instructor. He was knowledgeable and detailed about rules, regulations, laws and statutes. Mad Dog Armory held the class on a Sunday in a very relaxed environment with excellent handouts and a PowerPoint presentation that went step-by-step through all the critical and important information. I strongly recommend this class and will be visiting the shop for purchases in the future.

Great classes for beginner and advanced shooters alike. Andrew is a great instructor, he is knowledgeable of the FL statutes and has years of anecdotal experience as well. Mad Dog Armory as a whole creates a family environment for all shooters and actual cares about your firearm experiences in and out of the store. This is the only gun shop I will be going to in Florida. 11/10!

My wife and I took the Beginner’s Class in early June. Our instructor, Andy, was super knowledgeable of firearms and conveyed the instructions with detail and a lot of practical tips (ie, how to hold a firearm, safety techniques, the components of a firearm, etc). More practical tips while training at the range. We will be signing up for the Intermediary Course.

I attended the Full Monty and Intermediate training and loved both classes. Andy is a great teacher and made me feel comfortable asking questions.

Spent a few hours this evening receiving excellent classroom instruction. It was after hours so the showroom was emptied but the facility is outstanding and the staff and training instructors are top-notch. I would absolutely encourage you to swing through and chat about any of your needs.

Called here to find out about buying a gun. They said I had to buy a gun first before a background check was done and if background check then failed they would not refund the price of the gun!!!! They said this was not their policy it was because of gun laws. I find that VERY hard to believe and would publicly like an explanation of why they want to charge you for a gun and then keep your money if you fail a background check!!!!! Reply to the business reply: You may be required to enter a serial number for a gun to do a background check, but you are not required to sell the gun, and then refuse to refund the customers money, are you? Your aggressive reply, ordering me to give you a higher-star review, is insulting.

I finally found a armory shop that I love. I purchased a long rifle and a sight there last week and I am just so satisfied, they exceeded my expectations. The staff is so nice and they have many things in stock and I do not see them price gouging. I will definitely be back shopping there in the future.

The owners here are amazing, good people! They took great care of me and guided me through my visit with patience and understanding, as I’m new to this world they had the answers to my questions I didn’t even know to ask. Also I attended a class with one of their instructors offsite, Dan. It was an awesome time. I wanted to become familiar and proficient with my gun and he was thee man! Very informative with a great pace of learning, hands on, time for any questions, and made me feel at ease the entire time. I left with a great understanding and new ability. The Full Monty class (conceal carry & beginner handgun) was EXCELLENT. The instructor, Dan, is all over it. Super qualified and a very, very good instructor. Just knowing all about a subject doesnt, in my opinion and experience, necessarily make someone a great instructor. But Dan is a great instructor. He really broke things down, made sure every single student in the class understood every single thing, and drilled us individually so we could actually DO the things we were learning about. I went from zero to being able to do this. There was also an assistant instructor, whose name I dont remember, but he was also extremely qualified and extremely helpful. Very happy to have discovered this store and these classes.Several weeks later: We also took the Handgun Cleaning / Care class last night, with Reed. It was also very excellent. I am very impressed with the caliber (no pun intended!) of staff & programs at Mad Dog Armory.

To be honest, I have never left a google review in my life. I’ve had great service and experiences but nothing that I’ve ever walked away from being astounded by. However, that changed today with Dan. My wife and I recently purchased new fire arms and were wanting to take a course to lead us toward getting our CCW. We took the Full Monty course today and left feeling completely confident in our abilities to handle and shoot a fire arm. I have past experience with guns, however my wife had never even held one. After several hours in training and then time at the gun range my wife never missed the target and was spot on each time. Dan was thorough, patient and incredibly knowledgeable. We felt safe and comfortable the entire time. His expertise and skills are unmatched. If you are a newbie and want help without feeling dumb, go to Dan. If you are experienced and want to go to a higher level of expertise, go to Dan. If you need a refresher, go to Dan. We cannot say enough positive things about our time with him today.

The Full Monty Class that I attended on 1 September 2020 was definitely worth every bit of time and worth every cent of the cost. Dan taught the class and he did very well. He reviewed all of the information with us and then confirmed with us that we understood it. He included some personal experiences that made the information very practical. At the range he was patient and very attentive to everyone taking part in the range portion of the class. He was completely focused on everyones safety and left us with several best practice tips. Took the Full Monty course this week. The trainers were great! Had 8 people in the class and two instructors. The course was taught on a level that was very understandable. I feel I got a great value for my money.

I attended the Situational Awareness class with my wife & 5 children (ages 8 - 15). Dan, an exceptionally credentialed instructor, provided lifesaving advice for a variety of situations that was applicable to all members of my family. Very valuable information...it all starts with situational awareness!

First I signed up for their Full Monty classes .. this was a concealed weapon and basic gun class.Dan Cavallero was the instructor and he did such a great job i decided to sign up for one on one training .Today was my first session with him. I have to say his step by step approach is extremely effective and i found myself getting more and competent and confident in my ability to handle and use a firemanHe is very knowledgeable and experienced and his style of teaching is excellent !!! As a bonus he is very personable and relates well on a social level as well as professional level.I would recommend him to anyone who wants to improve those skills with a forearm.

Dan was a truly HORRIFIC instructor. He outright embarrassed participants in front of the entire class. No excuse for the type of behavior he rudely displayed MULTIPLE times. A woman he disrespected died a few weeks after his class, she fell into a depression from the way he spoke to her in her last weeks of life. She was a Veteran and Dan had NO RIGHT to speak to her in that way. Completely unacceptable.Edited to respond -Dan told her that it was a mile walk out to the range, upon arrival at the range that was surely not the case. I believe you are misinformed about what goes on in your classes.

Im a first time firearm owner so I was quite nervous at the beginning of my one on one with Jillian at the range but within minutes she had me feeling much more comfortable. Dan’s classes were great. I took a CCW class at a gun show a few years ago and it doesnt compare to Dan’s class. He offered so much pertinent information about self defense laws as well as adding his personal experiences. Would highly recommend to both new and experienced gun owners.
