I inquired recently about an IMS Bearing replacement for a Porsche 2003. The service I received was phenomenal, and all I did was inquired about the price. I think it was Joe/Jim who I talked to. I would highly recommend this place. Not only did Joe/Jim give me the quote I wanted, he gave me advice about purchasing the car and what to look for. I haven’t been here yet but I had a brief call with Joe about my car after it was an accident. He was super professional and very helpful with giving a second opinion of my car. He talked through and explained everything to me. You can tell that he knows what he is talking about. Most people would have charged for the help I received.

Joe was extremely informative about the extended service warranty that I had on my car and was upfront in telling me things they might not cover. Joe also suggested I call the car dealership to see if they would look at the car since I had bought it 4 months ago, which they wouldnt but it was worth the try. When he looked at my car he found the problem and also found out that there was a factory warranty on my car so I could get it fixed at the dealership for free. Joe was very helpful and upfront about things. I appreciated his honesty and suggestions. I would definitely recommend Joe to anyone who is looking for car repairs and especially to women as he was very respectful and honest and didnt try to rip me off just because I was a woman who didnt know much about cars.

I’ve been going to JMS for years to get inspections or regular maintenance done. He never tried to sell me anything I didn’t need. Sometimes he made recommendations but he never pressured anyone to buy. Recently I wanted some extra power for my 2005 Corolla XRS. Joe installed a brand new built engine, transmission, and turbo to make that happen. The parts were from different manufacturers and cars so it was challenging but he made it happen. Now I’m doing 0-60 in 4.9 seconds with 310 whp. Thanks Joe!

I have been going to JMS for several years. Joe is always highly knowledgeable and does excellent work. He explains the issue and how he is going to fix it in terms that are easily understandable. Recently we encountered an issue with my car where the manufacturer charged an exorbitant amount for a part. Joe told me he could make the part himself for about 1/4 of the cost and it would take 2 days. It took him less than 1 day and the part seems just as good, or better, than the manufacturers part. JMS gets my highest recommendation!

What a fantastic experience and I didnt buy a thing or have my care serviced! When I moved here 2 years ago I was interested in buying a vehicle & trading in my mini van. Joe was super nice, dropped what he was doing & took a drive with me in the van. He patiently explained how things worked in PA (very different from TN) and listened to me. He gave me some sound advice and didnt pressure me into a sale. Ive recommended his business to others and would buy from him in the future!

If zero stars would be an option I wouldve chosen that! We brought our Porsche in to JMS to be fixed. We asked that if there was to be bad weather, to please either cover it or bring it in the garage. They agreed no problem. Well what happens a big storm came the hood was up and left outside. It caused so much internal damage that now its thousands to get it fixed. Of course we just thought they would fix what they caused, but of course that wouldve been the decent and honest thing to do. So we had no choice but to take them to court, we went before a judge and won the claim. It doesnt end there!! JMS refuses to pay and are appealing just to spitefully hold everything up. I am disgusted on how your found guilty in a court of law, then you continue to drag your customer through this. We dont want anyone else to go through what we have, definitely wouldnt recommend JMS motors to anyone!!

Joe and his team have won my business by quickly and correctly analyzing problems, providing honest and straightforward recommendations, and expertly performing the quoted repairs. I have dropped off vehicles unexpectedly in the morning, had an analysis and recommendation by lunch, and had the car repaired and returned to me for the 5 oclock drive home on numerous occasions. My cars wont be taken anywhere else.

Joe got me in quick for an inspection since I had some issues at another shop with some repairs I needed to fix. He told me what I needed to fix and even showed me how to adjust a few things which was great since I am capable of some car repairs. Once I had things fixed they got me in quickly to finish the inspection so I could be legal again. Thanks!

An incredible crew. Joe and his team took great car of me. After my Audi A4 failed an inspection from a previous service shop whom my family has trusted for years, I went looking for a second opinion. Not only did Joe save me 1000 dollars from what the previous dealership had quoted me at, but he allowed me into the shop to take pictures of the parts. A lot of shops in the area would try to take advantage of young people like my previous service shop. However, Joe and his crew are stand up guys. They do phenomenal work, for a great price.

I have a 2009 Mini Cooper Clubman S that was having engine issues. I took it to another shop and they had no solution for the problems I was having so after wasting some money and reading in Mini forums that my issues usually end in scrapping the car, I decided to do a google search for BMW specialists and JMS popped up. After calling them, I felt confident that they were confident in a solution. Long story short, after a day doing compression and code checks, they called me back and had a solution. They had my car for 3 more days and happily called me saying it was FIXED! Its been a few weeks now and my car is running great and is finally enjoyable to drive again! Awesome guy! I locked my stuff in my car and was stranded at Sheetz. His wife saw me, came back 20 minutes later with her husband who is a locksmith and he got me into my car in less than 5 minutes. All out of the kindness of their own hearts...!

Just purchased a used Sonata from JMS Motors and had a very positive buying experience! I can fully attest to the integrity and quality of the work done by JMS. The vehicle I bought had a few minor issues discovered during my test drive, and Joe of JMS quickly took ownership of the issues and worked to fully resolve them at no extra cost to me. I called the owner, Joe, here to get a quote on the work for an expensive BMW repair. Yes, his estimate did come in much lower than the dealers, but no surprise there. What astounded me was the near 30 minutes the guy spent on the phone with me, not only explaining in detail exactly the situation I had myself in, but also turning down the job, because in his expert opinion, Id be better off in the long run having the dealer do the job (due to future potential service bulletin stuff which might come back to haunt me). He did not have to take the time to do this for me, Ive never even been a customer of his. Joe took the time to research my problem and help me find the best solution, to zero financial gain for himself. You dont find shops, or people for that matter, like this very often. Would highly recommend based on apparent integrity and experience, and will be giving him my business in the future when I can.

Brought my 2002 Jetta in to JMS this week after I admittedly let something go way too long (whoops!). I had been told by the last garage that my car would need to be serviced by the dealership to run diagnostics and repair whatever was wrong. I was reluctant to go to the dealership because I didnt want to get ripped off, and Id much rather support small local businesses. I searched for Volkswagen mechanics and found JMS Motors. Joe and his team fixed my car in a day and its running great now. Also, his wife gave me a ride home when I dropped my car off so I wouldnt have to take a cab! Everyone there was super friendly and I will definitely go back!

Just had Joe repair my VW Touareg - drive shaft support bearing. Saved me well over a thousand dollars from what the dealer would have charged me for the repair. Also gave me a ride to the diner down the street so I could have breakfast while I waited. Thats service. I had to drive 45 minutes to get there but it was worth it. I will be back in the future. As a first time customer I have high expectations and to me first impressions is everything for return business (considering Ive been in sales and customer service for almost 20 yrs.) I dropped off my BMW 330ci to get inspected so when I received a phone call with a list a list of things that needed serviced (now considering my car is an 03 with 160k it was kinda expected) so my response is as long as the price is right what is it going to cost me to get it all done? so he had to call me back with an estimate, when he did, I thought it was a fair and reasonable price within my budget ($1000) so I said go for it lets get it all done! over all I was impressed with their knowledge and the quality of service but when I go to pick up and pay for it, there was one part that was already quoted in the price that was not performed nor it was on the invoice so when I questioned it, they had to look through the mechanics notes, when they found it, I was right (by the way my wife was with me the whole time). So we agreed when the part came in theyll call me back in and honor their service (at least thats what I thought). So after one more trip in, I picked up the car a couple hours later and off I went. The very next day I get a call about paying for the part and labor that was already quoted in the cost and paid for a week prior, Im obviously bothered by this whole experience so I make one more trip into the shop to pay $67 on top of the $1000 I had paid for the week prior... lets just say thats going to be my last trip there... Very bad business...

Please use caution driving to there shop they have huge crater size holes that they refuse to fix properly.they do that so u will brake a tie rod end or an axle so they can charge u extra to work on your car buyer beware .

Affordable repairs and great customer service

After 4 years of relying on Joe at JMS (along with Steve, Colleen and others), its time to update this review. Ive brought him my BMW 328i, my wifes Audi A3, our old Saabs (9 5 and 9 3), a friends A5, a Subaru and a VW. When the local dealer made a problem worse and over-proposed new work (repeatedly), I trusted Joe. When it comes to basic repair and maintenance issues, his shop is 100% honest, fair, reasonable, efficient. He has also sold two cars for me when I replaced them. If you have a special project, your auto will be at home in his new garage, along with the Ferraris, Porches, Bentleys, BMWs, Audis, and many other top cars. Ive referred friends and neighbors -- all are now his faithful customers. Support your local mechanic. Do it for the little guys, and do it for yourself. You wont be disappointed.I came by this weekend after hours with a fault alert on my new (used) BMW and Joe generously pulled himself away from work on a Rolls to help me out. He scanned the code and discovered it was a steering sensor that was probably bumped the other day at the dealership. It wouldnt clear, so Joe played with the wheel, put it in various positions, and got it to clear. The next day I drove 150 miles and it hasnt reappeared. While he was doing this, we talked about these cars quite a bit. I have 2 Saabs and the BMW and well be taking them back to JMS. He inspired confidence.
