We bought an Avalon pontoon here and we had a great sales experience with Israel Pattison. He worked with us to get us exactly the boat we wanted. Although there were some hitches with Avalon production (Covid, of course), we ended up receiving exactly what we ordered.Our Delivery Captain, Curt, took us out on the lake and went through all we needed to know about our new boat. Were not new to boating, we just needed a few particulars about the pontoon we bought.We worked with Holly Boyer for financing, licensing, registration, etc. She handled everything so we didnt have to. Holly was very responsive and informative throughout the purchase and delivery process.All in all, the staff at Austin Boats & Motors was great to deal with and worked with us to deliver the boat that we wanted. My family and I found ourselves in a serious predicament when our newly-purchased boat had no fuel in it at the Hurst Harbor dock. Being new to the area, I called Greg Lawrence at Austin Boats and Motors and asked him what our best course of action might be. He didn’t hesitate, told me not to worry and he came immediately to the dock with a filled gas can to give us enough to make it to the closest marina where we could fuel up; additionally, he accompanied to secure the fuel and then back to our new slip. I find this type of customer experience rare and I’ll surely be returning to do more business with Greg and Austin Boats and Motors as a result.

I brought my brand new boat in for the 20 hour service, a trim repair and they diagnosed a factory build issue that was causing breakdowns during my initial break in period ( boat was bought out of Florida not at Austin boats and Motors ). These guys are professionals, everyone I have worked with to date in this shop is knowledgable, friendly, they set your expectations correctly and follow through on all their work. Marine repair can be hit and miss, I wanted a top notch shop to take my brand new boat and they have been exceptional every time . I will be a customer for life. Service department bait and switch. Forced to pay ~$160 when I thought I was just getting a quote for a trolling motor shaft extension. Come to find out, they tell you they cant quote you over the phone and make you bring the motor in, only to charge you $160 to even get a quote.Buyer beware.

Wanted to give a shout out to Matt in the parts/serviced area. Matt has has gone out of his way to help me with warranty work on a problematic trolling motor. Matt has been great with communicating with me including detailed photos, parts list and accurate labor cost. Its nice to deal with friendly folks who are on the ball. No matter if you are purchasing a $100K wake boat or a $10 part, these folks treat you as family. Very refreshing.

This is by far the best customer service experience I’ve had. On our way to Austin boats and motors, my husband and I agreed that we would not buy anything on impulse, and would think on it if we found a boat we liked. Our salesman was Greg, and we liked how genuine and not pushy his demeanor was, plus he was willing to sit down and answer a lot of questions from us that probably sounded pretty silly since we’re boat virgins.There were several things that made purchasing a new boat prohibitive, such as needing to buy a truck and a trailer plus lacking basic knowledge about boats.. Austin boats and motors removed those barriers as they are willing to deliver the boat right to our Lakehouse and give us several hours of instruction. They are also willing to hold our boat 90 days free of charge since our boat dock is in the process of being built. All of these perks, which were necessary for us, are at no additional cost.Greg took us out on a test drive before we purchased our Avalon pontoon boat, and he was extremely informative and patient.I’ve always despised purchasing new cars, and figured it would be a similar experience with the boat. I have my boat sold and the purchaser wanted a system scan on the motor. Set up an appointment with the service department. They were two weeks out and that would have been okay. Checked with them today (which is not quite two weeks) and was told that my appointment had been cancelled due to them not hearing from me. Well I thought when you made an appointment, you were done. I guess they have plenty of business and dont need mine.

We had a Great experience at AB&M. Our boat trailer suffered a catastrophic crack in the frame and we needed to find and buy a boat trailer. After much searching state wide, we contacted Greg Lawrence at AB&M about a trailer they had for sale. We didnt know if the trailer would fit our boat and Greg offered to meet us at the boat ramp with the trailer while we came on the water with our boat. This was on his day off and he not only used his own vehicle but had to pay the park fee to get to the ramp.We probably spent approximately 30 min. maneuvering in and out, loading and unloading until we figured out the trailer, though needing adjustments, would work, so we agreed to come in the next day to purchase and pick up the trailer.When we went in the next day, Greg had already had their shop do some of the adjustments we needed to the trailer and they installed a new taillight to replace one side that was out. We were shocked at all Greg and AB&M did and this was just a used boat trailer!We can honestly say, if youre in the market for a boat or anything on the water, you should contact Greg Lawrence first because he goes way out of his way and over and above to please his customers!!

After taking my boat to ABM for a simple fuel pump replacement. They had the boat for 9 months. Ran all kinds of unnecessary test to pad the bill. Once they said it was ready to go. They delivered it with a blown motor. They reluctantly took the boat back to their shop to see what the issue was. They tried blaming me for not disclosing that it had an oil leak. One would think that at some point they would have checked the oil. But they did not. If you take your car to a dealership to get a fuel pump replaced and when you pick your car up and it makes it about 15 down the road and blows up because it doesnt have any oil, whos fault is that? The dealership of course. The same principle applies here. They would not take responsibility for their mistakes. And still havent. Fortunately my insurance company got involved and sent a forensic mechanic to look at it and see what happened and whos at fault. After reading what the mechanics said they did to the boat he came to the determination that they either lied about what they did or they are completely incompetent. For example they said they couldnt get the low fuel alarm to stop going off even after running 30 gallons of gas through it while hooked up to a hose. There is no such alarm on the boat. It was the low oil alarm going off. Thats how the motor blew up. How stupid are you if cant figure out that one simple thing. There are many questions that arose when he was looking at it. Ill give you just one more. They said that they pulled all the spark plugs out and they found a water gas mixture in all 8 cylinders. He said that was impossible for that to happen. He has worked on boats and doing diagnostic work for over 40 years and has rarely seen it in 2 cylinders never 3 and it would be impossible for it in all 8. Another lie to pad the bill for more test. This is the most dishonest company Ive ever dealt with. By far the worst. I would stay as far away from this company as you can. They will lie to you, cheat you out of your money and your boat will be worse after you get it back. Not to mention they were burglarized and a bunch of boats got items taken out of them. They did not call me to let me know si I could see if anything was taken from my boat. There was about $7000 worth of stereo equipment and bunch of other items stolen. I only found out when I went to the police and they informed me about what happened. What kind of company does not inform you when your property is in their possession and they get robbed? That would be ABM. I could go on and on about my experience. I just cant believe they are still in business. If you want peace of mind and not to worry about getting screwed over take it anywhere but there. Ive talked to many people about this and ABM has a horrible reputation in the industry. They are known for this kind of deception and not taking responsibility for their mistakes. Fortunately my insurance came to the conclusion that they were responsible for everything. They are now pursuing justice for me and hopefully Martin will learn a valuable lesson on how to treat people and not lie cheat and steal from them.

Just closed on a brand new Tigé R21 with GREG! It was my bro’s and mine first boat. We were very hesitant with any boat purchase but after doing months of research and traveling all over Texas talking to multiple dealers and different manufacturers, we found a great dealership and great sales guy. A big part of our decision making was finding a team that would stand by their products and offer great service and a dealership that we could buy future boats from. I have to say I feel bad because Greg would consistently go out of his way to provide the best customer service possible. As a lawyer I’m very cautious of fine print and shady dealings but you will find none here. Greg and the entire staff are true to their word. Holly was great in going to bat with the financing and was a tremendous help. They put us in a awesome boat and at a great deal! Side note Greg also taught us how to wake surf in a matter of minutes I highly recommend getting lessons with him it’s worth the cost of wasted fuel and frustration. This is interesting. Im no boat expert but I know that when I take my truck to Covert they do a full 14 point inspection( oil check included) no matter what I take it in for. Do you guys not do this?

Since then have visited several times for accessories for the lake and once to get our boat serviced for the season. They got us in and out on time and as promised. Nice and friendly staff! Being on our boat during COVID has kept us sane!!

Went in to talk about upgrading my boat and to pick up a new wakesurf. Isreal and Kurt helped me and gave outstanding customer service. I felt right at home and I could tell they knew their stuff. Worst Marine shop in town! Went to have my engine replaced. Horrible over price job. Then to top it off they stole all my amplifiers out of the boat. Great place to get robbed in the wallet and in your boat. They have no idea what they are doin! And there management team will cause you of trying to steal from them. Take your boat anywhere, but here!!!That’s a great response... If you had really done any homework, you would see i did pay to have my new engine put in. It was horrific! I spent hours cleaning up the job your guys left. Also after calling to work something out, i was told i would get a call back, and course i didnt hear anything... When I called back i was told “Oh, i was about to call you...” Then i was accused of removing my amplifiers to try and get new ones!!! Great customer service!?!? I just spent almost $9000 with you! I have tried to work with your office, it impossible... you have workers stealing from your customers, and management could care less about it! If you want to do something refund the money i spent on the two amps that were stolen!?!? Sorry, but this place is the worst!!!

This is the worst boat dealer I have ever dealt with in my many years of owning a boat. Their only interest is to sell boats, not service boats. Linda in the service department told me that personally. I made an appointment 2 weeks in advance with Linda and she told me my boat would be brought in the day after I dropped it off. I dropped my boat off and two days later Linda calls me and tells me they cant look at my boat for another week to determine what they needed to fix it. Thats not why I made an appointment. She asked did i want it fixed or do I want to come pick it up. I drove 3 hours round trip to take my boat there and this is the kind of service I get. Never again!!!! I suggest you run from this place as fast as you can.

Purchased a Tige R23 this year. This was our first boat purchase and can’t say enough great things about the staff! Thanks to Holly, Brian, Eric, and the rest of the service team at ABM for their invaluable assistance on working out the bugs on my BW center console boat. All issues were addressed quickly and professionally and I have not had to have any repeat work performed on those items they serviced for me. I highly recommend them for any new purchases you may have or any service work that needs to be performed.

I have an older Crownline BR and needed Idle air valve replaced and horn repaired. I was told by Greg that they would do a 16 point inspection and not do any work until I approved it. I called a week and a half later to find they replaced the Idle air valve without my consent and we agreed to complete a tune up and oil change. Greg called a couple days later and told me he missed the fact that I have a Bravo drive and he ordered the impeller for an Alpha drive. That got corrected and then they found the water manifold was cracked. I agreed to have everything repaired. They called me to pick up the boat and I found that the emergency brake cable had been snapped and there were greasy hand and foot prints all over my white leather. Greg and Marc told me they would detail the boat and repair the brakes on the trailer. I spoke with Marc the next day and he told me the detail was done and the trailer brakes were repaired and working. I picked the boat up and the trailer brakes do not work. I called and asked for Marc but Greg answered and told me they replaced the cable but the trailer brakes did not work when they took the boat in and they are not going to repair the trailer brakes. DO NOT TAKE YOUR BOAT TO THESE LYING CROOKS!!

Moved to the neighborhood 3 years ago and found austin boats & motor. Since then Ive bought all my parts from JR at the parts department. Have my eye on The Wake Tractor and will be meeting with there sales department soon. Im sure sales department is just as great.

Your phone message and website says you close at 3 today. We called earlier to make sure you had not changed hours for the Labor day holiday weekend and you confirmed regular hrs. We showed up at 1 pm to pick up our boat and you were not there!!! You should notify your customers of your last minute change of hours. Family in town for the three day weekend and no boat. This stinks!!!

I am an owner of a Ranger Bass Boat and after reading Dereks review I think I will by taking my boat elsewhere for repairs.

I called for parts for my Yamaha engine on a Saturday morning. Brian L the service manager was answering the phones. Unbelievably rude from the moment I said good morning. No interest in helping me in any way. Then told me I was welcome to call somebody else if I didnt like his unfriendly phone manners. Wow. I will spend my money elsewhere and you should too. Pete

Service is their middle name. Ok, story time..... If you dont want to be bored, the summary is that everyone was great and the service was great.In my case, I was selling a used boat and the engine conked out at the water trial! Bong! Emergency problem. We call and called around some more. No one could help us for days/weeks! We only got the time of day from one other shop, and they were far less than promising.Finally, I remembered Austin Boats and Motors near my house. I called as a last chance and in desperation..... I recommend calling here first now.ABM listened to our problem and said, sure, bring it in and we will get on it. (From far far away) We hustled over there, they listened patiently and asked poignant questions. They got to the heart of the matter quickly. Good listeners.Soon, they related that it was a 5 hour job. It was about 12:30 when we arrived. If we wanted it done, they could do it. And.... we could wait in the showroom/TV/Lounge area until it was finished. Cool AC/pretty lady offering us coffee, etc. etc. etc. And, most of all, they promised to get it done.The three of us talked boat, watched TV, drank coffee and chilled until about 1 hour someone came out and showed us a quart jar with 1/2 water and 1/2 gas. Bingo!They cleaned the injectors, drained the tank and did much more. Started the engine, tested it and we were out and gone in about 4 hours. (The bill was reasonable, we were happy to pay for the quality/speed.)We booked it to Hudson Bend, splashed and blistered at about 50mph in this very fast fishing boat. (even in rough water) All now running great thanks to Austin Boats and Motors on HWY 620, in Lakeway. (Near Hudson Bend - a census designated place)The sale was made and the buyer trailered it to LA the next day.OK, thats it. Long way to say, they done good. I needed an inexpensive part ($12) for an older Crownline and the Austin Boats and Motors guys were very helpful finding the exact part and ordering it for me even though they had a similar part that would have worked on the self. I have always found the staff to be helpful and friendly.

We couldnt be happier with the purchase of our new boat from Austin Boat and Motors. They worked quickly to get it ready for us and get us on the water.

My Review is strictly with the Service department and the new UTV sales for the off brand Chinese side by sides. First I want to warn anyone looking to buy one of these Chinese UTV- Please dont. Unless you want to spend almost the equivalent for a Polaris or Yamaha, but owning a cheap Chinese under-built UTV. First two months of owning this UTV my left front suspension rod broke. I was on my property spraying weeds when I went down a very small hill. The suspension was so cheaply made that once it broke my UTV collapsed breaking my radiator.Then after just a few more months I started having electrical problems. I brought this unit in to Austin Boats and Motors on 12-12-17. They had my UTV until 2-1-18. Every week or so I would stop by to get an update. The first three trips I went in they did not even know where my UTV was. I then got the service manager involved. He assured me that he would have me answer by the end of that week.Of course that never happened, so I went in again to talk with him the following week. He went on to apologize for having my UTV now 4 weeks with not one person looking at this. Again the manager went on to say he would have someone put this at the top of the list. I waited now two more weeks- so yes 6 weeks has now passed.As you can guess I had no phone call or follow up. I went back into the office and now the manager who I have visited many times is not really even familiar with me. I told him this was the most unprofessional service department I have ever dealt with.I told him I wanted to pick up my $14,000 piece of junk Chinese UTV so I can find a competent party to work on this. The only kind thing he had to say is Mr Bailey we will waive the initial service fee of $150 since they were unable to look at my UTV.Terrible customer service and an even a worst built UTV. Hopefully you can all learn a lesson from me- Spend the extra $1000 for a like Japanese or Polaris model- dont buy Chinese and dont buy from Austin Boats and Motors.

Just took my boat in for winterization which I learned the hard way is very important. I failed to winterize my boat 2yrs ago and ended up with a freeze busted engine. Bryan the service manager gave me an estimate and was with in a 100 dollars of the original quote to replace my block. Got me done in 2 weeks so I could enjoy my summer!! Awesome job.Just picked my boat up and will return this coming spring so he can summerize my baby. Great job and when I decide to purchase a new boat I will not consider anyone else. We bought a used boat from them in October. Was a very good experience. They took good care of us. Repaired all we found wrong. Got the warrenty transfered. Would recommend them to any one looking for a boat.

I love my Blue Wave Purebay 2000 from Austin Boats and Motors. I got a better deal than in Louisiana and Houston. Worth the trip. Martin and the team are great! Justin did an great demo on Lake Austin and answered all my questions! Also love my Humminbird with Minn Kota Ipilot Link.

TERRIBLE SALES AND SERVICE!Bought a boat from this outfit that the one of the worst major purchases ever! The service dept did not inspect and correct several issues. The pre delivery inspection must have been non existent. The sales mgr Martin failed to keep promises that he made. Never ever trust Austin Boat and Motors.

I have been using the service center for prepping my boat for winter and summer. They have done a professional job each time.
